Just what we needed after landing in Munich this early morning!

If you want to experience the worst of old Germany, come to this place. Here you will find the arrogant and despicable manager (who still hasn't understood why the war machine of the 1930s was defeated), the submissive employee who barely speaks English, the toilet attendant who demands money from you at the entrance, the product that comes with everything you asked not to come with ("no lettuce and no mayonnaise" could only be an idiotic request from an inferior people). In fact, every customer should pay just to enter this place: once you arrive here, you are taken back in time. You are transported to a world where the only thing missing is Erika on the speakers. A unique moment.

They won’t let you in the toilet without tipping.

Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed. I just wanted to redeem my collected points, but my app went haywire. Then I asked for help, and the woman just turned away and ignored me. Terribly rude staff, unfortunately.

The McDonald's at Karlsplatz 10 is centrally located in the heart of Munich—perfect for a quick break while strolling through the city or after a day of shopping. The branch is spread over three floors, ensuring plenty of seating, especially in the quieter upper level. The staff is generally friendly, and the food is up to the usual McDonald's standards. However, it can get a bit crowded and noisy during peak times. The restrooms are clean, but there is a charge. Overall, a solid choice for a quick snack or coffee in a central location.

A rip-off when you use the restroom. They charge you 50 cents, and for each coin, the coin is immediately removed from the cash register and hidden away. Potentially a case for customs and the tax office.

Well, its Macdonalds and the name speak for itself. This one is really big, several floors. The food just as good as you expect, the service is very fast. As a bonus point - very, very clean toilet, which sometimes a rare thing in big public places. Recomend!

This place quite good and nice customer service but Last two times when I came here to eat a quick meal there are some people asking for money and food, while I am eating and if didn’t give anything to them, they keep standing there and watching us so we have to give them something and it keep happening to me . I don’t like this environment because of this problem

Unfortunately, we were very dissatisfied with our last visit here. Despite a long wait, the food was already cold by the time it arrived. The burgers were not only cold but also of poor quality – the buns in particular seemed dry and tough, as if they had been sitting for too long. The fries weren't fresh either: they were cold and soft, which clearly indicates poor preparation or too long a wait. Overall, the quality of the food didn't meet expectations for an international fast-food chain. McDonald's is known for fast, hot, and reasonably fresh food – which made this visit all the more disappointing.

That was very rude! I was simply ignored by an employee! I'm disappointed!

Food cold, fries like cardboard, disgusting, 30 euros for nothing. Never again.....

I usually really like the coffee at McCafé, and I also like the cheesecake, but the cutlery, both the cake fork and spoon, is very unsightly and looks dirty and covered in limescale. When I asked, I was given a different fork, which had even more stains. Apparently, there's a fundamental problem with the dishwasher.

Food not as hot as expected, it seemed already cooked for sometime already. Its a take away, otherwise we already ask for change.

Well, there's a lot to improve from my perspective. There's no vending machine, the person serving the fries eats them with their hand, no gloves or anything, and then goes on to touch the register, the money bar and everything.

Today we went to this Mcdonalds and we asked the worker if we could get a free gluten burger. She said yes, and when she gave it to us it had gluten bread. We told her we asked the one gluten free, and she told us that there were not gluten free burgers and she didn't repair her mistake, and we had to leave with an already paid burger we couldn't eat. I think it's embarassing that the workers lie to the clients and make them pay for something they are not able to eat. It was really not that hard to explain before ordering that in this McDonalds they dont sell gluten free products. The worker was a girl wearing black glasses. Awful. Today we were at McDonald's and asked the employee if we could get a free gluten free burger. She said yes and gave us bread containing gluten. We told her we'd ordered the gluten-free option, and she explained they didn't have any gluten-free burgers. She didn't correct her mistake, so we had to leave with a burger we'd already paid for and couldn't eat. I find it embarrassing that employees lie to customers and make them pay for something they can't eat. It really wasn't difficult to explain before ordering that this McDonald's doesn't have gluten-free products. The employee was a girl with black glasses. Horrible.

Very friendly staff, fast service and restaurant with enough space to eat in.

They refused to give me the Golden Meal offer and said that it was limited to booking from the application, even though I explained to them my weak German language so that I could reserve it from their application.

Why do I as a customer have to pay 50 cents for the toilet? Burgers were thrown into the boxes so that you had to put them back together yourself. In the restaurant on the 1st floor there are either homeless people or people sleeping off their intoxication. Generally very messy and dirty.

Mohamed provided us with exceptional service! He was extremely kind and welcoming. The fact that he spoke French made our experience much easier. I highly recommend him!

Even though we had already paid for the food, we were not allowed to use the toilet. The woman at the toilet asked for additional money. Glasses were only available on the menu upon request. Overall very unfriendly.

There are no self-service checkouts; even customers are required to pay money to go to the toilet.

I just bought the Minecraft Movie Menu and as always I started eating it with my favorite sweet and sour sauce. In the second sauce I opened I noticed a white streak. Since I have poor eyesight, I initially thought it was just a potato that had fallen into the sauce. After eating this sauce, I looked closer and noticed that this white stripe looked a lot like a worm. I was very taken aback and my friend then went to the checkout to complain, to which she replied: "It can't have gone into the sauce 🤷‍♀️!" and took away the sauce and gave me a new one. After that I just started shaking really bad and couldn't eat anymore. I have attached a photo below. Please clarify this situation.

For such a large branch, ordering was very quick, it was very clean and there was enough seating. The toilets were also clean and the cleaning staff were very nice.

Everything is terrible! I paid 20 euros for the menu, and when I went to the toilet they decided to charge me 50 cents. 1 star - Illegal conditions in the toilet area 🚨🚽 - A case for the authorities It is absolutely shameful what is happening at the McDonald's on Karlsplatz. For months - if not years - undeclared work has apparently been carried out systematically right at the toilet entrance. Two Colombian employees stand there permanently and collect 50 cents per visit to the toilet - without a receipt, without any official notice, without any legal basis. The whole thing seems extremely organized and has nothing to do with an individual case. 💸❌ The way in which the money is being collected – almost through pressure – is unacceptable. You eat in a restaurant and then get literally ripped off when you go to the toilet. It's not about the 50 cents, but about the mass amount of cash that is illegally collected here every day - and apparently under the noses of management. 🕵️‍♂️⚠️ Where are the financial police here? Where are the customs? The fact that a global company like McDonald's tolerates such conditions is a real scandal. This behavior is not only dubious, but simply criminal. ❗️ Never again McDonald’s Karlsplatz.

50ct toilet is a bit of a shame, but not as bad as the lack of charging sockets. I don't think anyone would be eager to work at the Stachus McDonald's, but it would still be a huge help in an emergency. Otherwise: in the middle of the city, so it can be crowded. You can still receive personal service here, which I really like. I come here for the McCafe strawberry cake and free internet (max. 3 hours like with all Macs).

The wrong burgers regularly end up in the to-go bag. You always have to check. Today again a chicken burger instead of a double cheese.

Never again! I've never seen such a dirty shop! When was the last time it was cleaned properly? I will now handle it the same way as others by informing the responsible authorities and ministries about untenable conditions. You really have to worry about your health. Big problem with bugs.

Disastrous staff who don't speak a word of German. Instead of one meal, the woman gave us two and cashed in. Half of the bread stuck to the wrapper on my McWrap, so my McWrap was only half there. See picture. A rip-off! I'd love to give it 0 stars, but unfortunately, it's not possible.

Very cozy McDonald's in the city center. Fast service, tasty, clean, comfortable place to sit, not too many people. There is a very clean toilet for 0.5 euros.

On 14-03-2025 around 10:30 PM , I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at McDonald’s. I ordered plant-based nuggets, but to my shock, I was given chicken nuggets instead. This level of carelessness is completely unacceptable, especially when dietary preferences and restrictions are involved. Not only was my order incorrect, but the staff also did not seem to pay attention to customer requests. This was a frustrating and disappointing experience, and I will not be visiting this location again. I expected much better service, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a truly unpleasant experience.

You are blackmailed into paying for toilet visits even though you are a customer. No receipt, no sign where it says nothing. It's best to report it to customs today because of black money. The woman at the toilet collects €50 in 20 minutes because everyone has to pay €1. Calculate for yourself what she earns after eight hours. The branch manager will take care of it when customs is at the door.

this was the most tragic mcdonald’s i have experienced in europe so far 💔 burgers were pre-made and cold. my partner wanted a milkshake as part of his meal deal to which the employee just replied with a “no”? ordered a strawberry milkshake anyway and it had no strawberry in it?? the cashier was very rude. i asked for curly fries as we don’t have them in ireland and she said “no” so i got regular fries instead, no biggie! but then as we sit down, a group of german girls come upstairs with a tray of 2 curly fries.. :/

The “ladies” at the toilets are a disgrace - they point their finger at the plate telling you to leave money there - next to them the cup full of coins is a disgrace because there is no soap and the toilets are dirty and they are also used for toilets at Mc Donalds for free!!!!!!!! New Year's Day 2025. Wanted to try the McPlant burger which we don't have in USA. Cashier was rude and he gave me a burger that happened to be made already and on a tray with what looked like a used paper tray cover. Great location in a historic area, though.

Very large McDonald's with lots of space and ordering is done quickly. Unfortunately no digital ordering terminals. Toilet costs 50ct.

Unfortunately, not only does the quality of the food decline, but the service people are more than unfriendly when placing the order and, much worse, they don't know the range. They're not supposed to explain quantum physics, but the burgers should already know it. The fries weren't salted, some were cold, the salad was stale. Only mass counts here. It's a shame, other branches try much harder.

How should you describe it?? Loud, overcrowded, chaos at the checkout, staff unfriendly and large fries only three quarters full. Not a nice McDonalds! App coupons also not possible to redeem. Cashiers spoke bad German, This made ordering a bit complicated.

There is no self-service (very modern), children are running among the tables. The receipt is also not given for an unknown reason. The toilet supposedly costs 0.50€, which is OBVIOUSLY nonsense. The food in general is ok but nonsense with their application for coupons (it works sometimes) the choice of sauces was ketchup and mayonnaise (in Slovakia there are about 7 of them) and also in other countries there are very frequent seasonal delicacies. There are no staff on the floors, the furniture is old, as is the design (from the 2010s) Ours is better :(

Was cheated out of money by staff. The bill for €12.99 was deducted from my account twice. The manager on site did not want to refund me the amount, even though he recognized the error (overtyping the cash register). A chargeback to my account as promised never took place. McDonald's customer service is unresponsive. Absolute impudence. If there is no further response, legal action will be taken against the franchisee.

I noticed in this McDonald's that some people take off their shoes and eat with their hands, which I find inappropriate. I also find the paid toilets with time limits unpleasant.

The MC-Rip was disgusting, passed through and cold, no table service, I was with my roommates from the STZ Wartenberg open area for a company outing in Munich at the Museum für Kunst im Jugendstil Galerie moderne Klassik, then at the beginning of the Christmas market at Marienplatz Munich, then at MC Donalds at the Alter Peter near the Viktualienmarkt. For €10.00 without a drink I could have gotten something to eat, but then I felt sick and had to vomit from eating this soggy MC-Rip! When you order (instructor + new employee) you say exactly what you want, drink, ketchup and "to eat here". Then you are asked what you would like to drink and ketchup or mayo. So repeat. Afterwards you have the to-go bag in front of you in which there is neither ketchup nor mayo.....great achievement, there wasn't even much going on for this branch.

Unfortunately our visit was disappointing. We waited over 30 minutes for some McMuffin Egg and Cheese – and that was at a fast food restaurant. The manager noticed the situation but did not respond or apologize. What was particularly annoying was that we had to pay 70 cents to use the toilet. It almost felt like blackmail.

If you have a choice please go to another place, I was surprised first when I got my meal within a minute then when I taste it everything got clear, they prepare it in advance, fries dry, burger bun and cheese inside also dry, no matter how busy it is I never saw McDonalds like this.

To put it bluntly: I just accidentally got into a conflict between the toilet staff and an apparently underage customer. She had to go to the bathroom and didn't have 50 cents on her. She was told in a very rude manner that she wasn't allowed to go to the toilet without paying money. I eat here regularly when I'm out and about and I'm also regularly told that I'm not allowed to use the toilet if I haven't paid. A cleaning lady once charged me €2 for it. I don't think that's part of the McDonalds concept... or do the cleaning staff work here for free? After today I would like to appeal to the operators, in my opinion the girl was on the verge of crying until her mother came along.

A wonderful place to spend 4 hours at night waiting for the train. Only aggressive Bayern fans who encourage you to fight prevent the Five-Star here.

I've eaten at this McDonald's and I didn't like the food especially on weekdays and it was very crowded

The order was accepted very quickly and while one lady was giving the rest, the other had already prepared the order. We were very surprised at the speed, but the burger turned out to be just warmed up, giving the impression that it was almost a day ahead. That's where the speed comes from
