Unfortunately, they deal a lot with homelessness, but their service is very good!

Many homeless people, but the staff offer free gifts and are extremely nice. Whether in German or English, you can communicate well with them.

We didn't get everything we ordered. Missing also a fork for salad. Got a spoon instead. Anyway the salad wasn't super fresh, so maybe I shouldn't be bothered. It's not the McDonald's standard I'm used to in other different places.

we waited for our food for 30minutes then we waited another 15minutes for our drinks only after we came asking for them. And the restaurant is full of sleeping homeless people not just in the restaurant but on the stairs and at the doors, overall wouldn’t recommend going after 8pm

There were 2 people sleeping with food beside them, we waited for our food for about 20 min and when it arrived we waited for another 10 for our drinks, which wouldn't have arrived if we didnt go ask the staff about it. I seriously wouldn't recomend eating here.

You probably shouldn't expect much from chain restaurants and fast food. But the Filet-o-Fish I was served here—my expectations couldn't be lower. The thing cost €6.19. Six euros and nineteen cents. Five years ago, that would have gotten you a doner kebab with fries and a Coke. An isolated incident? Anecdotal evidence? I know. But when we're talking about chain restaurants, we're talking about strict rules of preparation. Something like this simply cannot and should not happen here. Half a cheese, a bread roll that was dull and dry anyway, and a dollop of remoulade. The fish didn't deserve that.

Everything was old, cold, nothing freshly prepared, poorly presented, and expensive. The vegetarian nuggets were disgustingly tasteless and dripping with old grease. The fries weren't cooked properly. Never again...

I thought Germans were the ultimate complainers. But as the reviews show, others complain even more. On the subject of the toilets: Unfortunately, there aren't any. Take a look at the concept at Ostkreuz station. Two people were having fun in the disabled toilet (on public transport). The employee understood me. It's perfectly fine if someone explains the job to you in English. But as a customer, I'd like to be able to order my food in German and English, if that's how it's perceived. It bothers me that you can hardly read the menu at the counter and have to run to the service point. The service was quick, the food tasted good, and there were no pigeons from the lobby.

We arrived at the store around 8 this morning and ordered some breakfast items on the touchscreen. At checkout, we were asked if we wanted table service, which we selected. We waited a long time, which isn't a problem if the food is then brought to our table. Eventually, our number was called, and I went over and asked why it wasn't being brought to our table if we had the option of table service. This was answered rudely and unfriendly, with the explanation that she was working alone and didn't have time for such things. I then took the tray and wanted to start eating immediately. The food was completely cold. The pancakes were rock hard. Who knows how long they had been sitting there. We took the pancakes to the counter and asked if we could have new ones, but there was neither an apology nor any friendly response. We then received a new pack of eight pancakes, in which it was immediately obvious that the old pancakes had been mixed in with new, warm ones – absolutely outrageous! The employee who served us wasn't in uniform but in her own clothes, which is incredibly unhygienic. The other employee, who said she was working alone, took her time with everything. The restaurant wasn't even full. The service was so rude and loud that it could be heard throughout the entire restaurant. We usually like going to McDonald's, but unfortunately, we'll never go to this branch at Ostbahnhof again. I hope the employees responsible for this morning's failure will receive some retraining and be brought up to date.

So far we have always been very satisfied and the service staff are also very friendly.

Completely filthy. Very long wait. Lukewarm food.

Great food, no table service. Yes, hmm, no restrooms despite selling drinks, hence only one star. Restrooms are mandatory when eating on site.

(Update) I'm editing my review because the employees were super efficient today. I was there just before 8 a.m. today. There was only one customer in front of me and at least five employees there. I still waited about 15 minutes for my muffin and coffee duo.

Have recently removed the toilet upstairs

Toilet cost 1 euro extra and it's outside of the McD's. Ridiculous. Upstairs was closed (maybe there a toilet there? a mystery...)

The second floor is always closed, even at rush hours! People can't find a single free space. Indian workers shout at customers like mentally challenged (special shout-out to this young "lady" on Sunday, 14.09.25, 11 am.). Always dirty as hell and full of stinky homeless. The toilet is broken for 3 years in a row!!! The worst in the whole Berlin. And yeah, this franchisee likes to remove bad reviews, even though he clearly can't keep up.

My visit there was absolutely miserable. It started with the long waits; by the time the food was ready, the McFlurry was already half-melted. The employees had also put the wrong ingredients in it; instead of Oreos, they had put Smatites in the McFlurry. But that wasn't all – instead of regular nuggets, they put the spicy ones in the box. The biggest insult, however, was the cleanliness there. Apparently, a drink had been spilled at our table, and no one cleaned it up. It looked like that everywhere else. Trash on the floor, ripped-up seats, etc. The restrooms weren't any better, but they still charged customers 50 cents to enter, which I find pretty cheeky! Okay, the employees may have been nice, but that was it. Update: After going back several times, everything went smoothly. Unfortunately, there are no restrooms anymore, but otherwise, everything is fine.

Every single time my partner and I have ordered food at this restaurant, half the food has been forgotten or mixed up. I'm extremely disappointed and wouldn't recommend anyone eat here after a stressful day, because aggression is inevitable. They also salt the fries as they see fit: sometimes none at all, sometimes a little, and sometimes so much that you'd think you were chewing on a salt rock.

Great service from the manager!

Honest pretty decent McDonald’s. The food was hot when it came out and the service was fast. They did forget to make our ice cream but when we asked they made it for us. There is plenty of space upstairs to sit. The bottom where you order can get very crowded though. There were a lot of people there and it was pretty busy.

Since it was the only restaurant open in the area at that hour, I took advantage. I wasn't expecting much, but the moldy bun in the Big Tasty Bacon sandwich was a disaster. Here are photos and proof of purchase.

Even if you can't expect much from this fast-food chain, this branch is still special. You walk in – it smells strongly of old fry grease. The fries are only half-filled. The burgers (Royal TS) are incredibly poorly prepared – they'd be better if they'd been slapped together. It's best not to sit at the tables, as they're smeared and greasy. Just really, really bad, sorry...

They don't have a toilet and it's dirty.

Fanta: I don't like carbonation. But it would be nice if it had at least had some at some point. Atmosphere: Not very busy. No wonder. Ice cream: It was good, but the wrong kind. Happy meal: Just the standard packaging. Disappointing. Service: Rather relaxed. Number sequence still difficult.

How come a place listed as a restaurant doesn't have restrooms for guests? It's a disaster. The manager sends people to the train station to relieve themselves. Where's the health and safety? I don't recommend it, it's a disaster. Never again.

I ordered a McSmart Menu with two Cheeseburgers and a chicken burger with some extras. When I got home to eat, one burger was missing from the order, and the extras I payed for in my chicken burger were also missing.. This McDonald’s is a mess and the staff should organize better to avoid something like this.

Ordered a McCrispy Menu + a Spicy Chicken Burger for dine-in. I felt full after the McCrispy Menu, so I decided to take the Spicy Chicken Burger home for dinner. Later, I discovered it was actually a beef burger, and unfortunately, I don’t consume beef. Thankfully, I noticed before eating it, but it could’ve been worse if I hadn’t. I understand mistakes happen in a busy kitchen, but please be more mindful. Thanks.

Dirty – there was paper all over the floor. The tables weren't wiped down and were sticky. The order pick-up display doesn't work. Table numbers for delivery aren't available. The staff only speaks English. People who don't speak English have a hard time. Napkins and straws aren't available. The order was only partially filled. The bacon I ordered and paid for wasn't there. I've never experienced such a poorly managed McDonald's.

We just wanted some fries with sauce, but got no sauce. we are inconsolable... instead we got this weird powder and a puking bag, whats going on? I don't understand:/

I'm very dissatisfied. My Coke was practically just ice cubes, the burgers were cold, and the fries were soggy. Furthermore, this restaurant doesn't even have a restroom. Even though there is one on the second floor, they don't let customers use it and refer them to the train station restroom. It's simply a disgrace... :-(

Disappointing. Ordered a Happy Meal with Squishmallows, but when we got home, it contained the wrong toys and sauces. Fruit puree wasn't available, so they replaced it with juice – which was okay. But almost everything else was wrong. The kids were very disappointed. Be sure to check everything on-site if you're taking it home!

Quite the shady place especially at night. The burger I had was very small and it was a burger from a 11€ menu 😅😅😅 lots of seating opportunities which is good.

I was there on the night of July 26th to 27th around 1:00 AM to get some food. When I went to pick up my order, I said "thank you" to the employee. He replied "thank you" back, looked at me disgustedly, looked at my breasts, and said, quite disgustingly, "I love..." and continued to look at my breasts. I was quite shocked, so I took my bag of food and left quickly. The employee was short, a bit older, and of Tamil or Pakistani descent. I just want to say that I felt extremely uncomfortable and I don't know if something like that will still be allowed to happen in 2025. I didn't feel safe there!!!! I don't know what my review can achieve, but I hope no one else has to experience this again!!!!

A very disappointing experience. I was denied access to the restroom – on the grounds that there weren't any, even though the restaurant clearly had one. Even worse: one of the burgers I ordered and paid for was simply not given to me. This kind of behavior is absolutely unprofessional. I will definitely not visit this restaurant again and cannot recommend it to anyone.

Staff doesn't speak German? No toilet

I bought new products at this McDonald's today. I bought three burgers, but they only gave me two. I'm very disappointed with this treatment. I'll attach a photo to prove I'm missing a burger!

Super annoying to see the food getting cold even though it was freshly made. Absolutely super relaxed employees who work like snails and run around aimlessly. Employees who have never heard of hygiene and order in their lives, cold food, annoyed faces on the other side because everyone has to wait forever for two items. The restaurant manager runs around on the night shift in his private clothes and has his phone to his ear the whole time. I thought Hermannplatz was bad, but you at the Ostbahnhof really top everything. Always the same with you.

Absolutely unacceptable! I ordered food here and wanted to use the restroom as usual – they simply sent me to the station toilet where I have to pay because my own toilet supposedly "doesn't work." What kind of service is this? I'm a paying customer and I have a right to a functioning, free restroom – period. You can't even wash your hands before eating – a hygiene disaster and a clear violation of your duty to guests. Official complaints to consumer protection agencies will follow. This is not how you treat customers!

Just to say that when my breakfast order was messed up (and unnoticed until I was seated on the train), I wrote to McDonald’s and received a fair response (apology and voucher). And for that I am glad.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was good, but you had to pay to go to the toilet!

I ordered at the ticket machines, and there were no tickets available. I went to explain my situation and was sent to someone else like a dog. I'm also quite surprised by the cleanliness; customers aren't bothered, and no one comes to clean! A shame for a 24/7 service.

We ordered several takeout meals for our group – and half of them were missing! Some were missing burgers, others were missing fries. Pretty disappointing, especially when you're out with several people. That really wasn't good service.

The burgers were prepared by the employees without gloves – just a minute before, one of them had first scratched his head with his hands, then touched all possible surfaces, and then started preparing the burger (there was no mention of hand washing at all).

Ice tea was almost just water, no ice cubes, hardly any taste. Fries tasted extremely like sadness and were poorly salted. There was chilli cheese sauce on the Bigmac. Not recommended. Please change something essential about the business, you have the feeling that savings are being made wherever possible.

Apparently the employees can't count to 5 because (as is often the case) the burgers you paid for are missing. And apparently they don't recognize different types of shakes because I ordered a vanilla shake and got a strawberry shake. The employees seem to be trying to make a lot of money, more income, less distribution of goods, preferably 0 stars! Always check your order when ordering take away!

I was there today on Saturday around 6am, there were 2 people in front of me and I waited 20 minutes for my order! That doesn't work at all. When the unmotivated lady at the counter said they were understaffed, it couldn't be any quicker. But during the 20 minute wait, 2 of 4 employees calmly go out the door together to smoke. In addition, there was leftover food and packaging waste lying around at almost every table and the tray trolley was full even though there was nothing going on. And there was a homeless man sitting in the restaurant who smelled to no end and he just got two large portions of fries with ketchup without paying. Cannot recommend this store to anyone and will not visit it again.

An apple turnover was simply brought instead of raspberries (supposedly empty). Toilets not open. The sugar and milk ordered were missing from the coffee. The train station is generally disgusting.

Tragedy. Avoid!!! Toilet out of order. They promise a refund when you use the toilet at the station, but when you come for a refund, they ignore you and you get nothing. There is no selection of coffees at all, only plain black. We ordered two sauces for breakfast and only got one. They cheat on everything they can! Additionally, there are homeless people everywhere and it smells like crap. The cleanliness of the restaurant also leaves much to be desired. I've never been to such a crappy McDonald's in my life, and others are luxurious compared to this one.

I was there on 4/6/25 and it was an absolute disaster. I wanted to grab something to eat quickly before the train left. After 25 minutes of waiting, like many others, I still didn't have my food. Otherwise I would have missed my train so I had to leave. Instead of my order of almost 23 euros, I got two cheeseburgers and a few cold nuggets. Worst McDonald's ever. It felt like no one could take responsibility. Never again!

Very friendly staff. Unfortunately, the taste of the burgers has remained in the past and the burger falls apart in your hand when you eat it.

Ate there. The child was denied the toilet, even though they should have one (due to their size). It doesn't work like that. The waitress should be ashamed of themselves. I hope she feels the same way with her children.

As a professional mcflurry sommelier with a confirmed diploma from Harvard, I leave this establishment 4 stars. I would like to point out the following pros and cons: + Fast order fulfillment + Convenient location + There is a second floor with tables - They put very few Oreo cookies in the ice cream (attached photo) - The mcflurry packaging was hot, causing the ice cream to melt rather quickly. I advise you to work on the location of the ice cream machines and perhaps at the next inspection I will give out a fifth star.

The bathroom they said was out of order. The ladies on duty on April 19, 2025 at 2 pm told me that with the receipt I would enter the public toilets opposite for free because they had an agreement with them due to the poor service. Absolutely false information, we had to pay for the bathroom (1 euro per person!!!!!), they only said it to get rid of us. Not recommended!

The staff forgot my spoons and my sauces. My friend's burger wasn't laid out properly

Food was normal Mc food. Service was rubbish. My friend ordered a McPlant without sauce. Received a regular McCrispy. When she went to switch it she got the comment “you get what you get”. The receipt clearly said her order. Then she got her good order and the burger was almost cold. To make it better, my wrap was completely stuck to the paper. Wouldn’t return here.

Stopped in after midnight. Atmosphere was not very desirable. Homeless guy came in and took food from the garbage pit it on one of the tables and ate it right there right next to us. We had to move tables because he was so stinky. No one from the staff told him to leave.

Already on Monday morning at 5 a.m., this McDonald's restaurant is disappointing and causing unnecessary frustration: - All tables were dirty and not cleared. - Although many orders are made “to go”, sometimes you just want to eat in peace and quiet - unfortunately that was hardly possible. - I wanted to order a tea with a cheesecake for €5.49 as it was shown on the display case. But this menu was not available at the self-order terminal. Instead, I had to buy the two items individually for a total of €7.99. I hope this issue will be resolved soon - especially for guests who come over early in the morning. I will definitely not visit this branch again

An absolute joke – never again! Yesterday I was at McDonald's at Ostbahnhof and unfortunately I had to use the toilets. They also asked for money for this - and what do you get in return? A completely dirty, smelly toilet that looks like it hasn't been cleaned in days. Dirt everywhere, paper on the floor, urine residue – just disgusting! If you're going to charge money, at least a minimum level of cleanliness should be guaranteed. That was just disgusting and absolutely unacceptable. Shame on you!

The store is DISGUSTING! You are harassed by people scrounging, everything stinks. You have house rules, why do you tolerate something like that? Therefore order canceled! Staff absolutely incompetent.

Food is fast but lots of homeless people around. Double chocolate pie was not good and the sweet and chilli chicken wrap was not great either.

I've had similar experiences with this chain over and over again: when ordering at the machine, I don't get a printout and therefore no pickup number, and no one seems to be responsible. You might as well just burn your money. Is this really just a technical problem, or perhaps a scam to rip off customers? And why doesn't this happen with the competition?

Really poor made cheeseburger and with really bad taste

I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a roll. The roll was sitting on the counter for a good 15 minutes while I waited for my breakfast sandwich. If I knew my meal would take that long to make, I would have just waited for the train. When I asked the kid working, he just repeatedly told me it was almost done. Next time I'm in Ostbahnhof, I'm skipping breakfast.

Terrible experience at McDonald's The worst service I have ever experienced! The staff is absolutely unprofessional - unfriendly and rude. Today, March 8, 2025, the team was particularly rude. The employees prepare the burgers without gloves and just throw them down. In addition, something is almost always missing from the orders. You really have to check everything carefully every time! Such poor service is unacceptable. I definitely won't visit this McDonald's again.
