McDonald's in Berlin

This McDonald's branch consistently fails to pack online orders correctly. Every time at least one item is missing - without exception. We regularly give the branch a new chance in the hope that something has changed. But the result remains the same every time: disappointing. My conclusion: online orders here are a complete waste of time and money.

Stuff tricks with order numbers, marks orders done before it is actually complete. This way playing with McDnlds tracking system to show reduced order processing time.

It was clean, quiet, the food came super quickly (1-2 minutes). The burgers were fresh, warm and not squashed and the fries were well salted and crispy

The double standard is hard to believe, especially in 2025. With such an attitude, they should at least make it clear on their store that they only serve white people. It’s honestly disgusting 🤮.

Waited an hour for mcsmart menu and they got it wrong

Me and my sister got food poisoning here! We ate here 3 days ago and then got food poisoning (Google says that food poisoning takes exactly 72 hours to break out) I was just shocked

The food is like any other McDonald's, but the cleanliness of the branch in the evening leaves a lot to be desired. The tables are not cleaned regularly after the last guests and you can often find lots of scraps of paper on the floor or on the tables. Sometimes there is a very unpleasant smell in the branch as homeless people go in and sleep on the seats. The staff seems like they are reluctant to do their jobs.

It smelled so badly in there I thought I would faint and that dude literally threw the food into the bag.

On the way home, my brother and I decided to stop at McDonald's for the train ride. It's practical that there is a branch in the train station. After ordering at the terminal, we didn't really have to wait long for the order. For whatever reason, we didn't check whether the order was packed correctly and then found out on the train that only the drinks, the fries and curly fries and the one specially ordered cheeseburger were correct. We paid for a Big Tasty Bacon menu, we received a Royal TS, the extra McChicken Classic was swapped for chicken nuggets. We subsequently paid more than we received. With the application I would definitely like to point out that it is very important to check your order every time before you leave the store. Mistakes can always happen, but such large differences are unacceptable. What we received was also good and tasty, but unfortunately it was still disappointing because it wasn't what was ordered.

I love spending €5.99 just for my order to end up cold, unappetizing, and bland🥰🥰🥰 First time drinking hot chocolate COLD lol. My food was also cold and felt like throwing up after eating it. The staff seem nice but uninterested (I'd be too if some customers acted belligerent towards me, yikes) I guess get a coffee here since other patrons seem all smiles when leaving with one. Honestly, if I had read the reviews I'd have went to the rewe downstairs and gotten myself some snacks instead. Hopefully this will be my last visit to any mcdonald's, they always entice me when I have to kill time and it's always a hit or miss.

The people working there seem to be so overloaded (or can't read) that every time you order there, the wrong thing arrives. Training would therefore be desirable.

I dined at this establishment with my best friend. The digital ordering process actually went smoothly if it hadn't crashed. On top of that, money was charged for a milkshake so that it was served in a reusable cup. When my friend brought her food, she was cold-bloodedly denied a Coke, which she had to use her last strength to get herself. After we were finally able to start the meal, an uninvited guest came into the restaurant. A homeless man stormed the restaurant and begged for food. After we politely rejected him, he went around and came back to our table. After asking again and politely refusing from us, the wretch didn't want to leave. With cat-like speed he reached into my McNuggets to steal them. My girlfriend, full of adrenaline, slapped him on the claw like an Asian mother. After this action, the monster immediately disappeared. Unfortunately I had to throw away my remaining McNuggets. At first we laughed in complete shock, as we had only been in Berlin for a few hours.

On the second floor, a bald man was talking loudly on the phone and kept looking into my mouth.

Just paid 7.49 for a Big Rösti that was really dry. The meat had probably been in the UHC for 30 minutes. Get this under control with the holding times. Just annoying stuff like that. (It was to be taken away, so no chance of an exchange) Table service not available as there are no signs at the kiosk. Tables all full of empty trays and trash. Where is the shift manager?

Experience today: First we waited 8 minutes for the order, then the fries were only half full, cold and, last but not least, they charged 50 cents for ketchup. Unfortunately super disappointing...

Food from local McDonald's and dirty toilets

Ordered online, the code from the drink was collected beforehand. I had a menu and ordered nuggets. The burger was missing... how could something like that happen?!

The staff is quick and friendly, however the chicken nuggets were quite dry.

If you wait more than 15 minutes for your order in a fast food restaurant, just hearing one thing in response to a complaint: it's not finished yet, nothing else, it's already malicious. Mind you, in a place where a lot of people stop for lunch, I would have liked to have had more than 5 minutes to eat

The table where I want to eat is not wiped and is very dirty. The people I work with can't speak German or English! I saw one of the employees making fries from the deep fryer. The food looks pretty unappetizing. I took the food with me, there was only 0.3 l of 0.5 l in it, I forgot the fries, a real juice shop. Most people don't understand German. The toilet attendant takes 0.50 cents for every visit to the toilet (even if it is obvious that you have eaten there) and puts it in her pocket. They put a slice of tomato in a Big Mac. 😂😂😂👍🏼

The toilets can only be used for an additional charge of €0.50, which I personally find to be a disgrace, as the toilet facilities in a restaurant should be free to use (at least for paying guests).

I just ordered something at the counter and specifically asked how long it would take. That I only have a maximum of 5 minutes because I have to get to the train. The person at the counter then said to me: that's fine and this isn't a problem! I then ordered and paid. Otherwise I definitely wouldn't have ordered. After over 8 minutes I still didn't have an order. I have clearly stated and signaled several times that I need my order now because I have to go. Then there was a repeated nod. But in the end no one cared. Nobody understood German either. Although I speak English and have spoken to people in English, I had the impression that they didn't really understand that either. Ultimately I had to leave the branch. I paid for everything but didn't receive any food. I wouldn't have ordered if we hadn't been clearly told beforehand that the 5 minutes wouldn't be a problem.

Every week at 3 a.m. I picked up food after partying. They saved my ass. Load top. And nice service. Got 6 chicken nuggets on the house.

Food was cold and the potato wedges were wrong, had a large menu and had almost nothing in it and the cleanliness left something to be desired and the people had no thanks. The burgers don't look like they do on the signs, they're not made with love, they're just lashed up.

Food was pretty good but had waffle fries mixed with the normal ones. I don’t mind this but suggests at least some level of cross contamination. However, €0.5 for the toilets is silly- I can understand keeping out non paying customers but if I’ve paid and got a receipt it should be permitted to wash my hands at least before I eat. Surely it costs more to have a toilet guard ready all day than it would to just clean them more regularly?

I've never seen anything so pathetic. Best running restaurant in the world. And as a guest you have to pay €0.50 cents. I respect the work of the toilet employees. But it should be up to you how much you want to tip. And you are not forced to pay as a guest. You should be ashamed of yourself for knowing McDonald. Then it doesn't even drain. Awkward

This is what 2 large portions of fries look like I received. You're being ripped off here. Also with the burgers etc. I recommend going somewhere else. Unfortunately, this is a system in this branch.

The clerk tonight was very rude! The large burger set that I ordered was also deliberately replaced with a small burger. Even the large fries were replaced with small fries! I ordered a menu of 10.99 euros and was very impatient to be given a menu of 5.99 euros!

Yesterday we ate in this branch with our little 3 year old son. Our son was lying on the bench playing in his car (the shoes weren't on the seat). After about 20 minutes a man stood at our table and looked at us and the little one. Since the McDonald's logo was only very small on the arm, we couldn't tell at first that it was an employee from there. He didn't seem well-groomed either; his work clothes were very dirty and stained. He told us: “Our child should sit down; other customers might think he is sleeping here and that could give others the wrong impression.” We told him that he always plays like that and that he doesn't sleep either. There was no getting to it and there was no deviating from the fact that a 3 year old kept playing like that. We left our food and left. There was a man sitting two places behind us with a beer bottle and hadn't even eaten anything. Three employees walked past him and no one said anything to him. But we as a family are taught. I think it's really disgraceful to treat a family that way when they've just bought something. Our son didn't yell or do anything else. Very sad how you treat customers. And everyone else who doesn't buy anything and is dirty and unkempt is allowed to stay in this restaurant. The tables and benches are completely dirty and none of the employees care about it, but a family will point out such nonsense.

First time in this McDonalds as a tourist. They yell the order number and just walk away. No straw by default (for your drink), way too fatty fries and the place overall feels quite dirty. A fat fly landed on my burger while I almost took a bite aswell. Also on a side note (not this McDonalds fault), but the mayonnaise here is really bad.

We arrived to eat this afternoon. We ordered at the terminal for table service on site. The fast service arrives, as French we say Hallo! to the server. To answer us would have cut his throat. But the best part was that my drink was spilled on the table. We had to clean up ourselves and no apologies were made. Nor compensation of course First and last McDonald's in Germany.

Good service, but the coffee is way too hot, hasn't McDonald's learned anything from the Stella Liebeck case? If I can't drink the coffee after 10 minutes, something is wrong :-)

Didn't grade it 1 star because the food was actually good. The problem is that I asked if they had a restroom where I could wash my hands, I have been instructed to go upstairs where there was a lady that didn't speak English with a paper with "0.5 EUR" on it. Basically she didn't want to let me in (again, not speaking German was not in my favor) unless I paid 50 eurocents which I would have gladly done if I would've been able to do it via card which is something I expect out of any place in the 21st century. Instead of hiring a person that doesn't speak English wouldn't it be easier to have a robot that has multiple language options as well as cash+card payment?

I have to keep saying it's the worst McDonald's I've ever experienced. Food organized via app. Proof of payment from Paypal is available. Orders have not arrived. Staff says please order again and wait until I get my money back at some point. From my point of view, attracted 👎👎👎

Bad, cold food thanks for nothing Baljeet

I ordered an caramel ice latte. Waited 30 mins for room temperature coffee with no caramel flavor or sweetness as i had requested. Had to complain about the wait in order to get my drink. Very dissapointed.

A weekend in Berlin..The dirtiest McDonald's I've ever been to..Cleanliness...hmm..if you look at the nooks and crannies..bad..train station flair..it could definitely be better..

Probably one of the worst McDonalds in Berlin. Make beef patties on the McPlant. But this restaurant also fits in well with the shabby surroundings of the Gammel-Ostbahnhof.

I recently tried the pizza pockets and would like to share my experience. Unfortunately the product didn't quite meet my expectations. The dough was unsettling, soft, but the taste left an awful lot to be desired. The cheese and tomato sauce were there, is the most I can say about the cheese and tomato sauce without being downright offensive, and I couldn't taste any meat, unfortunately I don't have a microscope here. To find out if there was any meat in it. It wasn't right for my personal taste, but I can imagine it could be fine for others who have never cooked before or perhaps don't know how to handle fire. All in all, I think the experience of this food will ultimately keep me healthy for longer. As we all know, McDonald’s is not very healthy. But if it doesn't taste good anymore, that's no problem.

Unfortunately, this restaurant does not meet McDonald's standards. 10:1 (Chees, Hamburger) Patty's well below core temperature. The fries were in a cold condition. The coffee was served in a mug, sugar was forgotten. Here too, no standards were met. No communication with guests at all. No good day or nice day and that in an empty restaurant (7 guests).

Asked for tap water and they gave me this and put a lid on it so I would drink it and not realize (if I hadn’t been smart enough to check). As you can see in the photo, it is a urine colored substance, not clear. If they didn’t want to do it they could have just said no! Trying to poison me seems uncalled for

I just feel bad. There was something hard like rock in the cheeseburger meat. Nuggets were so disgusting you could taste the old fat and had weird lumps in the meat...but the staff was nice.

The very worst McDonald's branch I know. The staff has absolutely no interest and is also unfriendly. 2 Mctoast in the morning easily takes 15 minutes. The absolute hardest thing was where I saw a pigeon walking calmly in the kitchen!!!! Tables constantly dirty. This store is absolutely disgusting. Addendum: Breakfast was served here until 2019 and if it takes so long to prepare that you almost miss your ICE then that's bad. Recently I was there again, at least the cleanliness has improved, but the staff has gone from not being interested to not knowing much. Knowledge of German would be an advantage.

Honestly, nothing to say about this McDonald's, I saw the negative comments because of the pay toilets but I have to admit that the station stinks of piss to death and they probably do this to keep the tramps away from their toilets 🤷🏻‍♂️

Second time today, when the older lady (short hair, no English, shift manager?) is screaming at guests in German. Pretty oldschool. 1st time she charged me too much. 2nd cuz I was eating 'in a closed space' that was not closed at all.

Apart from the overwhelmed employees of this chain, I of course noticed that a very nice lady who was dripping with sweat (I thought the fries were therefore oversalted) was handing over the food and was a little scared and anxious. Due to a makeshift business, the toilet lady was the first to notice. I found it really nice how she greeted me with a smile (without teeth) and immediately asked for the 0.50 pesos. Unfortunately, since I couldn't interpret a word (it may have been because she wasn't speaking clearly because she still had about 1.5 mangoes in her cheeks), I easily walked through the restricted area straight to the men's toilet. It was beautiful, of the 5 urinals, 3 of them flushed, toilets were blocked and when the towel holder was empty and I realized thanks to my eagle eyes that everything was in the overfilled garbage container, I knew it was going to happen again Pants wiped. Apart from the completely urinated tiled floor, it was a really great experience that should be a "must see" in every travel catalog. For the toilet lady, all you can say is maybe mentally inhale less Tiktok and better keep an eye on the job. And of course, if you give a thumbs up you will be praised👍🏼

Food was ok, but there was a random guy charging coins for the toilets, he even had a coffee from somewhere else, I asked the staff and they said it was with them which seems shady...

The hall is dirty, the packaging of the food is terrible, ketchup just leaked out in one burger, and there was none in the other. The salad was served in a package, the freshness was not the first, it did not look very good, they did not eat it. In addition, no utensils were provided for the salad. Sunday afternoon. 3 p.m. Have a burger before you leave? Not here! The tables are dirty and the food takes over 30 minutes to arrive after ordering. Poor feedback culture when asked. The food had already been sent out. All in all poorly organized.

I ordered a take away and paid for the a full double burger menu at there but they missed my french fries (or maybe removed it to save more money and cash)… I came home and I saw that the paper bag has just hamburger!!! It is the first time I experience such things in a fast food.

Best McDonald's I've ever visited. A second floor for top view. Very clean. Even coupons on the back of the receipt. Food fresh too. Only recommended.

Incompetent night manager. If incompetence were 1.90m and wore glasses she would look like Mario Something, the night manager at this McDonald's restaurant. Since we had to wait 25 minutes for our food, we had plenty of opportunity to watch the man at work. Other than standing around and picking up a few fries every now and then, we couldn't see any more enthusiasm. Unfortunately, he reacted quite rudely and couldn't speak when we were served an inedible burger. Total failure. Dirty… not pleasant personal… I came today ( Saturday) at 8 am. MacDonalds was empty. All tables were dirty. Some chairs also dirty… It was impossible to sit there. I have asked one lady working in Mac to clean my table - she was not happy to do it . She started to clean with the wet thing other tables and then came to me ))) the restaurant is empty 😂😂😂 She cleaned with wet towel and then I cleaned with the dry towel and it was dirty… How can It Be ? Why don’t you clean tables ?? If some people don’t mention it - it doesn’t mean be like this. It is not hygienic …
