Very unhygienic. You walk in and find all the tables in the almost empty shop smeared with dried sauce. Wilted lettuce leaves lie on the floor, clearly having been there for days. Traces of dried cola are on the bench cushions. Unfortunately, the place is not well-run.

We had to wait 40 minutes for our order. When we asked where it was, the incredibly poor staff didn't respond. The man just stared at us silently. We are incredibly disappointed.

I usually order through the drive-thru—horrendous wait times of over 20 minutes with only 1-2 cars ahead of me just to get to the order window, and then it's usually "Please wait," and then you wait another 4-10 minutes. What's wrong with the system? What are your plans? You used to be much faster and better.

My order number 179. Besides the burgers, I also ordered two sweet rolls, which cost €1.99 each. When I got home, they weren't there 😡 — I'm €4 short. I didn't want to drive back because it's too far. I recommend to everyone who orders from there: Please check your order, because it's easy to get scammed.

My family and I went here for lunch today and certainly won't be returning. We ordered our food at the self-service counter, but since we were paying in cash, we had to go to the register. Naturally, we waited there for ages. The employees ignored us and only responded on our third attempt, when we asked them to come to the register. This isn't surprising, considering there were only three people working in the kitchen, one of whom was in charge of the drive-thru. Even with the small number of orders, we still had to wait quite a while. When our order finally arrived, it was clear that the employees hadn't put in much effort. The fries were cold and the teacup was barely half full. Not to mention that the employees couldn't even distinguish between an espresso and a cappuccino. We ordered two coffees: a medium and a small cappuccino. The medium was fine, but the small one had no milk at all. When we turned to the counter and explained that we had mistakenly received an espresso instead of a cappuccino, the employees exchanged glances. When I asked for a different coffee, or at least more milk, one of the employees mumbled something and poured some milk. There was neither an apology nor an explanation. The place was obviously quite dirty. I cannot recommend this café and advise the owner to hire more staff or at least take a closer look at the existing employees. I hope my review is read, although given the previous negative reviews and the lack of response from the establishment, that seems unlikely.

A very pleasant visit – I'd love to come again.

Today I went to the drive-thru and ordered a meal, but I wanted an extra drink that wasn't included. The employee explained that I would have to pay extra for it, which was perfectly fine with me. I simply told him to keep the extra drink and only give me one, as I didn't want two. Suddenly, it turned out that the employee was Romanian (which I had no way of knowing), and he immediately started insulting me and telling me he didn't want to take my order at all. He was extremely rude and aggressive, continuing to shout and insult me ​​at the pick-up window. This is truly inappropriate behavior from this employee, and I find it very disappointing.

We just quickly drove through the drive-thru. It was fast and the food was okay. Sadly, the days of getting 10 cheeseburgers for €10 are long gone.

This is truly the only McDonald's in Germany (and I've been to many) where you always have to pull over and wait at the drive-thru, regardless of whether there are other customers or not. My order was overlooked/forgotten. The table staff confused my number 149 with 194, and the waiter had already been taken. I then complained and asked for my order. I was told I would get my food soon, but no waiter. I waited again. I then went back to the front to ask again. Another employee then accused me of fraud because I had waited too long to ask for my actual order. My food was only given to me because other customers whose order had been confused with mine confirmed that this was the case. The only apology I received for the insult came from the employee who waited the tables. Overall, a terrible experience.

What really ruined my mood was a request for payment from a parking attendant company, who wanted €47.50 for allegedly parking in McDonald's parking lot without a parking disc while we were eating there. :-( We probably won't be visiting this McDonald's again.

On July 10, 2025, at approximately 12:30 AM, I placed an order via the app (coupon "Choice of 2 classics with large sides"). I selected drive-thru pickup at this branch. I gave my code at the counter and was asked to drive up. Since there were other vehicles in front of me and I had to wait quite a while, I reached the payment counter around 1:00 AM, where, interestingly, I was asked what I had ordered. Re-entering my code didn't help the employee there, who said my order was out of the system. I tried to generate a new code in my app, but the app then told me the restaurant was closed, so I could no longer access the order code. The employee wanted to sell me a Smart Meal as an alternative (for which I would have had to pay). I declined, pointing out that the amount of my order was already booked in my PayPal account. He then informed me that McDonald's would automatically transfer the money back because the order hadn't been completed. I then left the McDonald's Drive-Thru. The following day, PayPal debited the amount from my checking account, and I still haven't received a refund to this day. According to the franchisee, he "hasn't received any payment from me" and therefore can't help me. This is a rip-off and blatant lies at the drive-thru. I have receipts and witnesses. This behavior constitutes a failure to provide service despite payment! Orders should definitely not be placed there one hour before closing time; otherwise, the money will be gone, but you'll still be hungry...

My visit to this McDonald's in Darmstadt today was unfortunately disappointing. Upon entering, my son noticed that the floor in the men's restroom was very sticky – an unpleasant first impression. The order we had placed at the terminal (for three people) took an unusually long time to arrive: a full 17 minutes, even though there were hardly any customers in the restaurant (maximum 10) and the drive-thru wasn't very busy. Several other customers also waited a very long time. When our food finally arrived after almost 20 minutes, my shake was initially missing. A direct complaint to the server was unsuccessful, as she was already on her way back behind the counter. I was then given the shake at the counter, but without any apology. Shortly afterward, I realized that my nuggets were also missing – although they were brought later, the entire experience was very untypical for a fast food restaurant. The response to my inquiry about the long wait ("The order had to be prepared in the kitchen first") seemed unconvincing. The food itself tasted okay, but my son complained about a very watered-down Coke. Conclusion: McDonald's is known for quick and easy meals – that wasn't the case here. Long wait times, missing products, and poor hygiene in the restroom unfortunately don't allow for a good overall rating. The staff seemed overwhelmed, even though it wasn't busy.

Used to be one of my favorite McDonald's. After my last visit, I promised myself I'd never go back! It was the dirtiest McDonald's I've ever seen. Leftover food under the tables and chairs. Tables that weren't cleaned. A case for Günter Wallraff, really. Too bad, because it used to be a really good restaurant! Update: I was there a week ago! I ordered here via Lieferando. Nothing major, just a burger and six nuggets. The app stated the wait time as 35-55 minutes. I ordered at 8:28 PM. Since I have an early shift and have to get up at 4:00 AM, I was hoping I wouldn't have to wait 55 minutes. In the end, I waited over two hours for my order. They also forgot the sweet and sour sauce for the nuggets...

First of all! I ordered at 11:47 PM and waited almost 20 minutes for my food!!!!!! I would have been finished by midnight if I had gotten it right away. Besides, McDonald's is open until 2:00 AM!!! Okay, just the McDrive, but that doesn't mean they lock up and go home at midnight!!! Besides, the app should then allow for table service and eating in the restaurant. 10 minutes before closing time, it's no longer possible!.....at the latest, my patience was at an end, and I made it clear that I would eat it HERE. Review for McDonald's at Gräfenhäuser Str. 89, Darmstadt Today, April 27, 2025, I visited your restaurant. I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the poor and slow service. I arrived at around 9:03 a.m. and waited at the checkout for about four minutes, but no one came to help me. Afterward, I went to the self-checkout, signed a receipt, and returned to the regular checkout. I politely asked when I would be served, but was simply told to go to the cashier with the receipt. I explained that I was in a hurry, but your employee began serving other customers very slowly. I've never had to wait so long for my food in a McDonald's. I ordered from a terminal at 1:10 p.m. A Mc Menu and a Happy Meal. There wasn't a lot of walk-in customers wanting to take their food away, but there were a few people sitting and waiting for their food. My food came at 1:35 p.m. For such a small order and what I perceive to be low traffic, that's really too long for a fast-food restaurant. At least 4 employees were working behind the counter, which I could clearly observe. When we got our food, I noticed that the toy my son ordered was missing. When I asked kindly if we could get another toy, some toy was simply slapped on the counter. The salad I ordered was very bland and the tomato and cucumber slices were clearly too big to eat with just the fork provided. To me it felt a bit like it was a thrown together thing. All in all, a very unsatisfying experience that I'm not used to from McDonald's. We're definitely not coming back.

I waited 30 minutes until someone served me at the checkout and I was the only customer at the time. When my order was finally taken, there were a lot of guests who ordered at the terminal. Good day, I would like to file a complaint regarding a recent order from your restaurant. There were several issues that, in my opinion, do not meet McDonald's quality standards. First of all the fries were cold. I went back to exchange them but the new ones were cold again. It wasn't until the third time that they were freshly prepared and finally OK. I also ordered three cheeseburgers, which unfortunately were incomplete. Each burger only had one slice of cucumber, although the standard says there should be at least two slices. In addition, there was almost no onion - the amount was a maximum of 0.01 grams, so it was hardly noticeable. This is my first Google review, but after the shocking treatment I received on 3/2/25, I feel compelled to do so. After a long day and travel, I went to this McDonald's with my boyfriend and a friend for a quick bite to eat. We were tired and ordered at the order terminal. My friend wanted a McFlurry with Smarties, but the terminal only showed the plain version. I was distracted and thought he took it anyway. Additionally, the terminal did not print our order ticket. Later, my friend saw that other guests had a McFlurry with Smarties and asked me to ask when picking up the food. At the checkout I explained to the employee that we had chosen the wrong option and wanted the Smarties-McFlurry. She seemed helpful at first, but then realized that the McFlurry wasn't even on our order (my friend had changed his mind). Instead of remaining objective, she began to ridicule me in front of her colleague and imply that I was lying. When I calmly explained to her that it was a misunderstanding and that I was willing to pay, she became loud and accused me of deliberately lying to get the McFlurry for free. I tried to explain to her that it would be absurd to order two menus for €12 each and then cheat for €3, but she continued to yell at me in front of other customers. I ended up leaving the store without the McFlurry and feeling bad. I am an honest person and I don't like to be portrayed as a fraud for no reason. I hope a manager checks this behavior. Maybe the employee had bad experiences with other customers, but you can't treat people that way - especially when they apologize and want to pay. Sad and completely unprofessional.

Hello This evening I visited the McDonalds in Darmstadt at gräfenhäuserstrasse 89. I'm really not someone who is easily shocked, but that was the worst visit to a branch I've ever experienced. Unfortunately I can't upload a photo file here. In plain English, this branch is the very last one. The hygienic conditions are a disaster. Garbage on the floor and tables is endless. Fries on the floor across the restaurant The bad thing is that no one cares. Instead, a small, southern-looking young gentleman sets the tone very loudly and insults the customers behind the counter if they don't pick up their food, order or complain about something at his whistle. On top of that, his colleagues were insulted with several swear words in different languages. Guests also notice things like that. And last but not least, the homeless, heavily drunk guests sleeping in the restaurant and nothing was done or after a very long time the young man tried with a colleague. Always check your order if you have a large package and order takeout. Check what you received as often there are not enough products.

Very very expensive and very poor service

In my many work-related visits to various fast food restaurants, I have never seen such disgusting toilets anywhere. This was my third time there and it just keeps getting worse! I definitely get my coffee somewhere else. I can't get the smell out of my nose anymore. This is probably not the smell of urine from a single forgotten toilet cleaning, but rather the smell of urine from the last few weeks and months. The toilet floor was so sticky that every step to the ordering counter squeaked.

We stopped by McDonald’s to try the ice cream, and while the taste was okay, the overall experience was not great. The service seemed uncoordinated and took longer than expected, which was a bit frustrating for such a quick-service restaurant. If they could improve the efficiency and organization of the staff, it would make the visit much more enjoyable. For now, it’s just an average experience.

I'd rather not write about my experiences with this McDonald, but one thing is 100% certain, this McDonald will never see me again. I have now written to McDonald's Germany directly and shared my experience there. In my opinion, that makes more sense. I would recommend it to everyone here so that things can get moving.
