Worst McDonald's in Darmstadt and the surrounding area. McDonald's is actually a fast-food restaurant, but you won't notice any of that here. I stood in the drive-thru for 30 minutes, only to find out that card payments aren't accepted. Another time, I received a completely cold cheeseburger and wanted to exchange it immediately. The lady at the cash register was very rude and snapped at me, saying I had to complain immediately. I explained to her that I had received the burger via table service and had come straight away. She reluctantly gave me a new cheeseburger and was pretty annoyed. Disgraceful behavior and no customer orientation. Overall, I don't recommend this McDonald's; they have no functioning organization at all.

I bought a Mcflurry. I had to wait 15 minutes for someone to come and then they didn't even fill my Mcdlurry half full. Even a McSunday would have been fuller.

When the food finally arrived, it was so cold that for a moment I thought they had given it to me straight from the freezer - a "Frosty Meal" instead of a "Happy Meal". The burger had the elegance of a car crash and the fries were so limp you'd probably be offended if they were still called "fries." The ambience? A charming mix of school cafeteria after the lunch rush and train station toilets at midnight. Speaking of toilets: only for the brave. I felt like they were trespassing on me – not the other way around. A place where even a disinfectant flees voluntarily. Conclusion: If you are hungry and urgently want to work on your frustration tolerance, this is the right place for you. For everyone else: There are alternatives. Many. And better ones.

Waited in the drive-in for almost an hour until you could order (little customers on a quiet day) and then waited another 30 minutes for the food. So ridiculous

This review only applies to April 27, 2025. Firstly, we waited for 30 minutes (ordering take-away), even though there was very little going on. After the long waiting time, I think you can expect the burger to look and taste at least halfway decent. None! Simply pissed off. Well…too bad

At McDonald’s today – what a celebration, We arrived late, but things went really well. As soon as I ordered it, it was already there, fresh and hot – simply wonderful. The crew? A dream served with a smile, You immediately notice that it's not just parrying here. A quick glance, a casual saying, no stress, no waiting, no empty stomach. The kitchen? In flow, a well-rehearsed team, the processes are smooth, almost like in the movies. You feel: here you have really understood, how service and timing merge. The McFlurry – creamy, perfectly tempered, a small dessert that inspires the heart. Vanilla and topping, a sweet moment, which burns even the darkest thoughts. And the night outside, but so bright inside, The visit was spontaneous – and yet special. With a full stomach and a good mood, Then we went home – we’re coming back!

The smell in the toilet is disgusting!

I was in this McDonald's branch today (04/13/25) and unfortunately I have to say that I am very disappointed. Every time I order here something is missing from my bag. This time I ordered 1 fries and 6 spicy nuggets for €10, but the Fillet-O-Fish burger wasn't included. This is simply unacceptable and seems very unprofessional to me. Additionally, I was there yesterday (04/12/25) and the entire parking lot smelled like sewer, which made the experience even more unpleasant. For me, this was definitely the last time I would come here. I cannot recommend this branch.

I loved going there as a child, but now this branch is going downhill. It's just a matter of processing orders. The staff is constantly under stress and can hardly take the time for customers. You have to wait forever to get an order (once I waited almost 40 minutes) and the food, at least for the citizens, only tastes like mud. I don't know if it's different at other stores, but if this continues, McDoanlds will soon have a problem. In addition, the place is often so littered that you lose your appetite. Apart from that the area is used as a second garbage dump. Where are the carts where you could put your tray in and be done with it? I really don't know what to say about that.

Just waited 20 minutes at Mc Drive and then drove because not even 1 car was served in that entire time. In the meantime, an employee runs at a snail's pace to the trash can to take away trash (it takes 10 minutes to walk 10 meters because he is playing house with his cell phone in the trash) We then ordered at home via uber somewhere else. A check should be carried out here, as this all happens systematically. Because the cars are told to stop at the counter otherwise it will be noticeable that the operation takes far too long. The franchise checks whether the entrepreneurs are taking too long to process the orders. If you don't feel like a "fast food" franchise, why do you do it?

I do not recommend it, I was waiting for my order for 20 hl, it was collected by 3 guys and it is so slow. There was almost no lettuce in the burger, the potatoes were cold, everything was packed sloppily. It is not tasty, the sauce is too much, the cutlet is cold.... pay attention administrators!!!!

Absolutely disgusting experience at McDonald's! As soon as I entered the restaurant I noticed the lack of hygiene. Tables were sticky and everywhere seemed dirty. The toilet was an absolute disaster - dirty and disgusting. That alone would have been enough to spoil my appetite. When my burger finally came, the disappointment was complete. The food was cold, the burger was prepared completely carelessly and unappetizingly. The ingredients seemed to be slapped on randomly and it just looked disgusting. When I then contacted the branch manager to raise my complaint, I was dealt with in an incredibly arrogant and rude manner. She showed no understanding or accommodation and simply dismissed my criticism. A quick look into the kitchen confirmed my impression: dirty and it smelled disgusting. This visit was an absolute disgrace and had a lasting negative impact on my impression of McDonald's. I will definitely avoid this branch and can only advise everyone not to eat here! What a disgrace!

We've been waiting here at McDonald's, no lie, for over an hour – completely gone. At night, the crew can't keep up, the kitchen is struggling, but can't do it anymore. The machines are beeping, lulling us to sleep, but growling stomachs won't put us to sleep. The business students are about to explode, because their Mac Smart Menu remains only a beacon. Although they asked often enough, it seems we weren't adjourned. Despite digital systems, fine, our order fell into thin air. Now, after over an hour, there were leftovers – cold and unhealthy. Scraped together, with reluctance, served with a bad grill. The crew, they can't keep the kitchen under control, the mood is low, the service was sloppy. But instead of apologies and favors, they act as if it were our art. And as if that weren't enough, the greatest classic comes into play: Of course—oh, what luck!— the ice cream machine stays behind. No McFlurry, no joy, only disappointment here for today. But as a customer, it doesn't seem to matter; patience counts here, not choice.

I visited this McDonald's and unfortunately I wasn't particularly satisfied. The wait was ok for a fast food restaurant - only 5 minutes for a simple order. The staff seemed stressed. The cleanliness also left something to be desired: several tables were still covered with leftover food. What irritated me a bit, I asked again if I wanted to take part in a customer satisfaction survey in exchange for a voucher. However, the voucher product was not possible today. At least another product as a replacement was possible. What was positive was that the drinks machines worked and there was enough parking space. However, there are definitely better McDonald's branches. I'll think twice about eating here again.

The worst and most unfriendly store I have ever entered. First order and pay, then wait for the food with a number. As long as it worked, it wasn't a problem, but it was anything but. None of the employees managed to serve quickly, correctly and in a friendly manner. After several complaints from other people and I still didn't have my food after more than 30 minutes, I asked. The boss told me in a very unfriendly, stressed tone that I had to be patient like everyone else. (AND MISSED ME) The kitchen does it all. I answered and pointed out that my number was no longer on the scoreboard either. And I don't remember offering it to YOU. Then he got very loud and said I could leave if I didn't like it. Of course I would have done that if I hadn't already paid. That was a very unpleasant situation for me. As a customer, I have never been treated so badly.

I was at McDonald's during my lunch break, so I was stressed for time, and unfortunately I had to wait half an hour for my order. When I asked an employee what the problem was, she explained to me that there were currently problems with online orders - which I could of course understand. When a friendly Ukrainian boy came to help me, the woman swore at him in Ukrainian. Then asked me to verbally repeat my order again. With her gestures and hand movements she signaled to me that I should hurry up - which shocked me at that moment because she rushed me instead of pointing it out in a friendly manner. It should also be emphasized that it was around 12 o'clock in the morning and there were maybe 4-5 people behind me, all of whom came after me. So the disrespectful agitation was not justified. However, I simply ignored it and pretended that this unfriendly behavior didn't bother me. Unfortunately it didn't get any better, she just became more disrespectful... As she was preparing my order, I noticed that she packed items that I hadn't ordered. When I gently pointed this out to her, she reacted passive-aggressively. To defuse the situation, I said it wasn't bad. But when I asked to have my food on a tray instead of in a bag, she simply dropped the bag onto the tray - an unnecessarily disrespectful gesture. She was Ukrainian or Russian and probably misunderstood me because of that, but that doesn't justify such disrespectful behavior towards friendly customers. I understand that it can be stressful at busy times, but as a customer I still expect to be treated politely. ☹️ Unfortunately a very disappointing experience with this employee!

By far the worst drive-in I've seen in my life. Over an hour waiting time for 5 cars..

Despite ordering using the app, I had to wait 35 minutes for the food. Unfortunately I've already paid otherwise I would have canceled, the staff works in slow motion, burgers and fries pile up and just get cold, the people who pack the food have no plan and can't even tell you when it's your turn. I would have simply cooked food during that time and it would have been warm. Oh yes, I packed it wrong and explaining and correcting it was an extremely tough process. HELL ON EARTH - WORST McDONALD'S EVER! I don't know what's going on here, but this McDonald's is an absolute disaster! When you eat here, you can learn a new language, write a book or start a family - that's how long the order takes! Employees? In slow motion! I swear I've seen turtles work faster than this team. They stand there like they're trapped in another dimension where time doesn't matter. Zero motivation, zero energy, zero service! AND THE MILKSHAKE? FORGET IT! Same thing every damn time: “The machine is broken.” “There isn’t right now.” “Not available today.” HOW COULD YOU NEVER HAVE MILKSHAKES?! Do you assemble the machine from Lego bricks before using it? Is this a top secret NASA technology that only works once in a blue moon? Or are you just not in the mood? No matter what you order...it takes forever, is guaranteed to come out cold, soggy or wrong, and when you ask if they can fix it they look at you like you asked about rocket science. McDonald's? No, this is a sad parody of a fast food chain! 👎👎👎 0/10 absolutely not recommended!

Food came to the table already cold. When we pointed this out, there was no proper response! Even the resturant was really very cold. Everyone here runs without a seat with a jacket here. We were here twice. The first time wasn't a nice visit with unfriendly people and today on the second but last visit there was also the food... we won't be coming anymore.

Unfortunately it's no longer like it used to be, like an abandoned stop, few employees, drive in doesn't work, you have to do another lap and look for a parking space. Employee walks around with headphones but nothing is accepted, you have to come in. It's sad that there's already an employee responsible for making, packing and collecting when I was told it would take longer. I was in your branch on December 13th and placed an order. Unfortunately I had to wait over 40 minutes without my order being completed. Finally I had no choice but to ask for my money back. After the night of partying, my friends and I drove to the local drive-in. A mistake. It started at the ordering counter when our order was taken completely incorrectly. Then after paying we were sent away without receiving our order so that a subsequent customer could be served. In total we waited over 30 minutes and did not receive most of the order, which was only communicated after the waiting time. Straws were provocatively handed to us, only to be told a minute later that there would be no milkshakes for us today. The ice cream ordered was only made upon request and the change or refund for the drinks not received was only given with an eye roll and explicit demand. The fact that none of this works with at least 5 employees is astonishing. In the end there weren't even any napkins in the bag and to this day we don't know exactly whether the nuggets were vegan or not.

The men's toilet is a disaster, the smell is close to an old train station toilet/motorway toilet. Judging by urine. The staff can't handle it. Werder say hello or that makes xxx euros just look at you. If you take the money, you give the rest of the money. The napkins are on the floor on the stairs to the toilet. The parking lot could also use a broomstick. Simply good. It's just good at McDonald's.

As many others have described, I can only confirm that the waiting time at this McDonald's is well above average and you can expect at least 20 minutes to get your food. On good days. It's not even as if there's too much activity all the time, but rather, regardless of how many customers there are, it takes too long. I have noticed too often that the employees among themselves are visibly stressed or annoyed and it seems as if there is a huge diffusion of responsibility. I don't know of any McDonald's branch that is so disorganized and I hope that something changes in the future.

Closes before the displayed time. According to Google and the notice on the door, it closes at 2 a.m. on weekdays. At 1:40 a.m. all the doors were already locked.

The food was as expected. As always, the photos differ miles from reality. But it actually tasted pretty good. It's been more than a year since we, along with my wife, throw our money into this McDonald's every time I ask for fresh or at least hot food. I don't ask for that much after paying enough. And every time I get cold food that has been cooking and reheated for a few hours! That's not how it works! I'm going to file a big complaint!

Absolute disaster! Stood in the drive-in for 15 minutes and something like that is called “fast food”.

Like a WiFi, simple McDonald's but clean and friendly is worth a lot.

Drive in is a construction site, you can't get out once you drive in there. The staff is extremely overwhelmed and the ordering terminals and pick-up display have been broken for months. You can get your burger faster if you drive 7 minutes further to Pfungstadt to the competition. All customers in store annoyed and unhappy.

Ordered food for family (children). Waited 30 minutes until you could pay and then another 50 minutes until you had your food. To top it all off, 2 burgers were missing, so I gave the children my food and made myself some bread. If you work there you should also know that your 2 for 1 vouchers also give you 2 burgers and not just one This way you can also drive away your customers. No one from family or relatives goes there that quickly anymore.
