McDonald's in München

This is the most dreadful McDonald's I've been to in 20 years. It's stuck in the past. It's stuffy, smoky, with an atmosphere straight out of 20 years ago. It only works because of the cinema next door, where people are constantly in and out. Not because anyone wants to linger.

Avoid this branch - Food isn't fresh and the whole restaurant smells of grease.

They definitely need to get the machines to order food. Otherwise it is okay.

The ice cream machine has been broken for two weeks; nobody knows when it will be repaired. McDonald's in Munich, 2025.

The food arrives very quickly and there are always seats available. But it's best to avoid going there during Oktoberfest.

The branch manager clearly doesn't care about his job! He just throws the food into the bag and is extremely stressed even when customers are placing their orders. Consequently, there's no service because customers can't choose their items beforehand. There are no self-service counters, so you're completely dependent on the staff, who clearly don't care about their jobs. The worst service I've ever experienced in Europe!

I understand that McDonald's always has problems. But this branch shouldn't have a license to exist under the McDonald's franchise.

Unfortunately, even one star is too much. No parking – unfriendly staff and a small, dirty, and shabby atmosphere. I'll definitely never come back!

They force you to pay for the romp even though you want to eat there. It's simply the worst! Also, it stinks when you walk in. The second floor is packed with 40 degrees Celsius, unbearable. Customer service is a little lacking here. Don't go here.

It's best not to have any stars at all. It's overpriced. It's best to go to a kebab shop, it's better. €2.50 for a cheeseburger and a chicken burger. Last time I was in that shop, you saw me, and the quality looks like you sat on it in the morning.

⭐️ 1 Star – Unprofessional Staff & Poor Quality – McDonald's Goethestrasse Munich I was at the Goethestrasse branch today – and honestly, it couldn't get any worse. Two employees are standing at the checkout – one doesn't understand German at all, the other only partially. Result: Incorrect advice, incorrect food, no solution. After about 10 minutes, a third colleague came over who spoke slightly better German. Her explanation: One had been there "for two hours," the other "for a week." Honestly – that's not an excuse, but rather evidence of a lack of training and zero organization. And as if that weren't bad enough, the quality of the food also leaves a lot to be desired. The fries were clearly not fresh; they had probably been sitting out for a while – soggy, cold, and absolutely unappetizing. Please take a look for yourself at what's being served. Given the speed and communication, nothing surprises me anymore. No on-site contact, no management, no structure. An absolute no-go for a branch in this location. No McDonald's should be run this way.

Very outdated branch & uncoordinated staff.

I ordered from McDonald's through Lieferando, and it was an absolute disaster. I even called to ask when my food would finally arrive. They told me they hadn't received my order. No information, no help. They couldn't cancel anything either; instead, they simply shifted the responsibility to Lieferando. In the end, I didn't have any food, but my money was gone. This is intolerable; you just feel ripped off. Zero customer service, complete indifference. I can only advise everyone: NEVER order from Lieferando, otherwise you risk your money and go hungry.

Truly one of the worst McDonald's I've ever visited. No kiosks or decor like they were 15 years ago. Service wasn't particularly friendly either. The veggie nuggets were cold and so hard, like they were a few days old. I know it's just McDonald's, but even compared to other McDonald's, it's just terrible. The nuggets were replaced without a fuss, but they were so dripping with grease that they were barely edible, thanks to the trays for draining them.

Please be more friendly. The fries were only lukewarm.

It takes effort not to serve the same burger that is available all over the world. Hard and burnt fries, the double cheeseburger was dry and the burger was also burnt. I never write negative reviews. Imagine how disappointed I was with this particular restaurant. I have eaten McDonald's in 10 different countries and it was the same. Here it was terrible. Also, make a renovation McDonald's... We're not at 00's anymore. Also do a renovation, we're not in the 2000s anymore.

Unfortunately, a very disappointing visit. We were there around 11:30 p.m. My good friend ordered a Mc Crispy without anything and he got the burger with everything. Then he wanted to complain and he still got the same one and we don't understand that and the fries were really salty.

I think this is the worst MCD in Munich. It stinks, the ventilation doesn't work, the interior is falling apart. If you want to exchange a burnt burger, you have to argue. It's really not going anywhere and needs a major renovation.

Friday evening, 8:00 p.m.... One cash register open and a long line... And the store is pretty run down. There aren't even any ordering kiosks.

My visit to this McDonald's branch was unfortunately a huge disappointment. The staff seemed completely overwhelmed and incompetent – simple questions couldn't be answered, and in general, one had the impression that no one was truly interested in helping customers. Even worse was that the current coupons couldn't be redeemed – without any reasonable explanation, but with a great deal of rudeness. The service overall was anything but customer-oriented: irritated, rude, and completely disrespectful. Added to this was the unsanitary environment – tables and floors were dirty, as were the restrooms, even though it wasn't particularly busy. Overall, this was one of the worst McDonald's visits I've had in a long time. I definitely can't recommend this branch.

The lady who served me seems to have no idea what customer service or friendliness are. I ordered a McFlurry and wanted to pay by card, which didn't work the first time. She put the ice cream to one side and coldly called the next customer after she had simply barked at me with "Your card doesn't work!" I then told her that I had already paid for something with the card somewhere else earlier that day, so it might be the debit machine. I insisted on trying again. Then suddenly the card worked and she just grumpily said that I must have taken it out too early, which was of course nonsense.

Certainly the worst McDonald's I've ever visited. Extremely unhygienic both inside and out. Added to that, unfortunately, are the cold, hard, and anything but fresh burgers. I probably won't be visiting this branch again.

Albanian employees who think McDonald's customers are stupid. I wanted to redeem my digital coupons on the McDonald's app, but the Albanian employee told me he couldn't do it because his system was too old. While the employee at the cashier next to me was entering the coupon numbers for my colleague. Mind you, all cashiers are equipped the same. The coupon I wanted to redeem was for a Filet o Fish meal + 6 nuggets for €9.99. I had to buy the regular meal with extra sauce for €10.49. Guys, seriously.

Unfortunately, this is an extremely bad McD. No terminals to use coupons or collect points. The staff are extremely unfriendly when asked normal questions (how can I collect points here? Isn't there a sour cream dip for the curly fries here?). Many things are out of stock, or the employees simply don't feel like serving you. The burger was cold and the fries were soggy and seemed to be hours old. This McD only has customers because moviegoers have no other option when they want a quick bite. Personally, I will never eat here again.

There are many McDonald's that are quite restaurant quality. This is definitely NOT one of them. Dirty floors, staff smoking outside, tables full of rubbish... and well, the burgers don't exactly taste like they were freshly prepared either. If possible, avoid.

Please do yourself a favor and don't come here - the fries are raw and the burger is cold

This store is very old — you can only order at the counter, and there are no self-service machines. For fries, they only offer ketchup, while larger McDonald’s have a variety of sauces. I had prepared a picture of the meal I wanted to order and told her I wanted mustard sauce and iced tea. She explained in German that they didn’t have the sauce I wanted and showed me the ketchup. Then, even knowing I couldn’t understand German, she continued speaking German, asking whether I wanted just the burger or the full meal (even though I had shown her a picture of the meal and mentioned iced tea). How could such a stupid woman not have been fired yet? After that, another staff nearby heard me say “iced tea” and repeated to her,(which means the women cannot understand the same word from me) and I finally managed to finish ordering. Then she actually said “oh my god” — I’m not sure if that’s the only English phrase she knows. Honestly, I also wanted to say “oh my god,” shocked by her stupidity and rudeness. Other people’s comments： The lady who works here does not speak English. That is not a problem, the problem is that she makes no effort to understand someone who does not speak German and furthermore she speaks German even when she knows the customer doesn’t.

It was a nice feeling after a long time, I was thrilled, as always a good meal, I had the Big Mac menu plus a classic salad, as always it was perfectly prepared and tasted perfect.

The McDonald's on Goethestrasse is a great place for a quick meal. The location is very convenient, right near the Goetheplatz subway station, so you can quickly get there by public transport. The restaurant is clean and well organized, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. What I particularly like is that they have long opening hours - you can enjoy a meal here both early in the morning and late in the evening. As usual, the selection of classic McDonald's dishes is varied and the quality is always good. The atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant and orders are processed quickly, so you don't have to wait long. So if you want something quick to eat, this McDonald's is definitely a recommended option!

sometimes i go to this McDonald's for ice cream, the staff are quite friendly. A big minus for me: there are no terminals for self-ordering. Sometimes i order delivery from this McDonald's, but the last time i received a package with a kind inscription, after that i really want to leave a positive review! I hope in the future to also receive correct orders from this place and the burgers will not be scattered inside the box

I was shocked when I saw the abysmal reviews here. We thought this was the one McDonalds in Munich city which still has the old classic taste of burgers. Apparently they still have an old system of grilling and hence I loved how good the burgers tasted. The bun is also pretty soft. Again I have no idea how the place has such bad reviews. Maybe I am wrong. Honestly though the best McDonald’s burgers I have had in Germany.

Typical McDonalds, with the usual offerings. The ambience of the restaurant on Goetheplatz is getting a bit old. The feel-good factor is correspondingly small. At least...in summer you can sit on the large terrace in front of the restaurant.

Honestly, I come pretty often here, but because of this last time, I won't come here again. Burned burger, hart bread, + 3xfried Nuggets, dry as Sahara. Also very uncomfortable staff at this shift. It is super empty at the time I'm writing this review, so they ain't overcrowded, no reason to be THAT BAD.

I went there to get breakfast, there was one person ordering before me and one after me so not a lot of crowd. It took them over 8min to hand me the prepare and already ready pancakes and the sauce cause the personal didn't know how to make the order... To topp is all they forgot my hot chocolate which is concerning considering I ordered only two things To add to it, they didn't have any milk alternatives like thy have in every other mcdonalds, no ordering terminals, no use of the app. The atmosphere was also really shady as the flooring is broken in several parts and just simply nit restored and the tables were all quite dirty

Was there last week on Thursday October 10, 2024 around 5:50 p.m I ordered several things to take away! The food was moldy!! Particularly Mac Chicken is moldy! Fries ice cold. The burgers I got must have been sitting on the counter for hours. It's absolute disgrace. They give something like that to the homeless for free after work. Bought an MC rib yesterday and had no sauce on the burger. Landed straight in the trash and the chicken nuggets were cold and soggy for at least 30 minutes. It's really a disgrace because everything ended up in the trash Never again

If I could I would give -10 stars, no possibility to choose a menu from the app, no possibility to choose a menu from the menu with corresponding side dishes.. no coupons accepted and unfriendly staff as a side dish. Never experienced this before.

The worst big mac in my life!!! It wasn't a bun, it was a rusk. It was definitely a very old burger. My husband's Mc Crispy was also not good, hash brown was old and dry too!!!
