McDonald's in Oldenburg (Oldb)

Over 30 minutes for limp, cold fries and cold cheeseburgers. The staff was unfriendly and very unmotivated. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time. Better to go somewhere else!

This place is awful! You wait 30 minutes for two cheeseburgers and two fries, which then arrive unappetizing, cold, and soggy. Never again! I'd rather go 15-20 minutes further to Bad Zwischenahn.

It used to be cozy here; the new furnishings are reminiscent of a train platform.

Since the staff at the drive-thru were disproportionately unfriendly, I gladly drove on without ordering.

I usually really enjoy going to this McDonald's, or picking up food, but both today and the last time I tried to order, I found myself standing in front of a construction fence, even though I specifically checked online to see if you were open. It's great that you're renovating for your customers, but please put a sign somewhere saying you're closed! Or at least post it on your construction fence or here, saying when you'll reopen. It shouldn't be necessary to find out by trial and error.

I don't understand the world... there's always something missing when you go to get something... It's so annoying... no mayo, no sweet and sour sauce, and the "Alpine Fun" sauce is missing too, and as if that weren't enough, there's also a BIC Mac missing... it's infuriating... when you complain, you're not taken seriously, no matter if you email or call... I'm done with it again... unbelievable, I just had to get that off my chest...

Everything was great this time, got through the McDrive quickly, the food was warm and the service was friendly and fun.

Food has become extremely expensive, and for the high price, some items have become smaller and less substantial. It's no longer relevant for me. Apparently, many artificial ingredients are now used in McDonald's in general. Personally, I find it all too harmful to my health.

It's now truly run-down and disorganized. Hygiene is poor from the tables to the restrooms. 6- The staff at the MC Drive-In aren't even able to put napkins down for orders anymore! It's a shame, we used to love eating here...

The food is delicious, but there's not enough ketchup on the burgers in the Happy Meals. It's a shame there are very few vegetarian options. It would be nice if there were more.

An order for table delivery went missing... apparently normal and happens often. So if you order from the panel and it takes a while, ask. Update: Unfortunately, you can't review it again, even after two years. There should be room for improvement. The milkshake machine here also keeps breaking. So if someone spontaneously wants a shake, just go somewhere else. Is this a technical issue, or is it because no one wants to clean the thing?

So far, I've always been very satisfied with my visits to McDonald's. However, today I had a very unpleasant experience: I had a takeout order, and I noticed that the bun on my Royal TS hamburger was unusually light. After I'd almost finished the burger, I discovered a long black hair in it. After that, I lost my appetite. I find this a real shame, as I usually enjoy eating there, and I hope that they pay even more attention to hygiene and quality in the future.

Yes, I can recommend it, but the restroom is not wheelchair accessible. Everything else was very good.👍

A small McDonald's on the outskirts of Oldenburg with good transport links to the A28 and the Famila Wechloy shopping center. Unfortunately, the restrooms are located in the basement.

A "Mâcces" that's up to date. Orders can be made digitally or via app, and table service is also available. The ambiance is modern and not as noisy as it used to be. The cleanliness was also perfectly acceptable.

The manager was rude and told me it was a mistake for me to order at this McDonald's. Indeed, I had to wait 30 minutes for a burger. 1 star

We waited a long time for our “fast food” even though there was relatively little going on. I had to wait a long time but my friend, who was right after me, had to wait at least another 10 minutes for her food.

I feel like paying with cash is a second-class customer in this store. Even if you're warned at the terminal that you might have to wait, I don't think it's acceptable that the waiters practically ignore you. This means that orders from customers paying by card or using the drive-up service are given priority (even if they arrived later). As long as I can't complete my order as a cashier, my food won't be prepared.

Worst McDonald's visit ever. Tables completely filthy, waited over 30 minutes for the food, and then the employee threw a receipt at me because he missed the trash can. Absolutely unprofessional – never again.

I ordered via app, and once again, products were missing. This time, all the sauces and a salad were missing. I left almost €60. Really annoying. V. H. 24.08.25 thought an Iced Latte Caramel contained caramel. Must have been my mistake.

McDonald's is only available under duress, because the kids want it. Back in the day... from the 90s to the 2000s, there were still acceptable sizes for standard products, no vending machine orders or waiting times. It was fast food, not food for waiting. Now, everything is a colorful rip-off, or as expensive as a "real" burger joint. Too bad 😢

Unmotivated, and a special shout-out goes to the lady with the short black hair—I guess she's the shift manager, which makes it all even worse. I've rarely seen such a rude, cheeky, and unpleasant person in service. If you don't like your job, you should do yourself a favor and find another one. But don't yell at people and question the wrong order by poking around in your food first.

Unfortunately, there were a lot of loud teenagers outside, but otherwise the food tasted quite good. Service was okay.

Burgers taste better in Osternburg more

The last time I was in Oldenburg and at this McDonald's was around 13 years ago. I stopped there today while passing through. I remembered that everything was a bit quieter there, you had to wait a long time and it wasn't particularly clean on every corner and what can I say? Nothing has changed in 13 years. I don't think even the interior has changed. We waited exactly 23 minutes for two menus and two Happy Meals. After 23 minutes, two burgers were still missing. My wife then went to the counter and asked. The man was very friendly but still, this shouldn't happen in a fast food restaurant. I can understand that it's busy because of the location near the Famila shopping center and I was certainly a bit annoyed by my two-hour drive, which went on for another four hours, but the waiting times haven't improved in 13 years.

Pretty solid for a McDonald's. The store is fairly clean, and orders are processed quickly. The restrooms are clean, too. There's a play area for children, both indoors and outdoors.

It's a shame you can't give it 0 stars. The toilet is so filthy 🤮

Our little daughter really wanted to go to McDonald's. Since we were in Wechloy, it made sense to go there for lunch. We were there at lunchtime, of course. It was extremely busy. The staff were really nice. Two things were missing from our order and something came wrong. That wasn't so bad, as the service was quick and replaced it without any problems. Now our little one needed a diaper change. But that turned out to be an adventure... the diaper changing room was locked, and when we asked, we were told the key was gone and therefore no one could go in... so far, so good. My wife wanted to change her little one in the women's restroom first. But there was nowhere dry/clean to do this. The men's restroom isn't even worth mentioning...really awful...you don't know if you'll get an upset stomach after eating...when I asked, they said there was too much to do and the staff didn't have time to clean...which makes you wonder if MC has to reduce staffing levels so much because hygiene apparently doesn't matter? Had to leave the restaurant and change the baby in the car. No photos or videos taken. Anyone who's been there before surely knows what it looks like...

It was truly disappointing! We had to wait over 30 minutes for a cappuccino and an iced matcha latte – and then the matcha wasn't even cold, but lukewarm and completely without ice cubes... My girlfriend was really disappointed. This used to be the best Mecces in Oldenburg, but now the people working there are completely insane and would rather have private conversations than worry about the food or ordering. Everything takes forever, and you can just tell no one there is truly motivated.

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience. I had to wait a full 45 minutes for my food, and the food I waited for was still not served, and this in a fast-food restaurant! I found this completely incomprehensible. I was neither informed in advance about the long wait, nor did I receive an apology or any kind of accommodating gesture. The staff seemed overwhelmed, but also disinterested. Customer service looks different. For a restaurant in this chain, I expect more organization and, above all, faster processes. I will avoid this branch in the future.

After waiting over 50 minutes for my order, I exercised my right of cancellation. Unfortunately, the staff seemed unmotivated and disinterested, which was also reflected in other guests, some of whom had to wait over an hour for their food. The restrooms were in very poor condition – there was a strong smell of urine, and the floor was very dirty. When I canceled my order, I was met with an inappropriate grin, which unfortunately further reinforced the negative overall impression.

In the end, it's a McDonald's, with the usual quality. Today's visit was very busy, and the employees were under pressure to process all the orders. As a result, the restaurant's cleanliness was lacking; it's best to avoid the restrooms today.

A cozy restaurant with delicious food and friendly service.

Subject: Complaint about poor service and inappropriate treatment Dear McDonald's Team, This is our fourth visit to your branch, but unfortunately, we once again had a disappointing experience. We're used to the fact that an order for four people is occasionally missing something and you then have to go and get it. However, yesterday's visit was particularly negative: With an order of three meals, only two portions of fries were delivered. When I pointed this out, they initially denied that anything was missing, even though it was obvious. Two of the McRibs I ordered were almost completely devoid of sauce. When I raised this, the manager said the sauce had "soaked into the bun" – he wasn't willing to replace the burgers. After a lengthy discussion, he finally took them back, promised to make new ones, and bring them to the table. After about ten minutes, I went back to the front, where the burgers were already cold. At the table, I noticed that only cold burgers had been poured with warm sauce – even on the ones I'd already taken a bite of. This is absolutely unhygienic and unacceptable. When I asked the management again, I received only unfriendly and rude replies telling me to "be happy." I am very disappointed by this kind of customer treatment and the lack of service. I would have expected more professionalism and customer friendliness from a company like McDonald's. I request a statement and a proper apology for this incident. Sincerely

The food is delicious, the service is good. If they hadn't torn down the playground, we would come back.

Generally, I only go to McCafé with friends, meaning we get cappuccinos or hot drinks. I honestly don't know what's changed internally/behind the scenes, but this branch has declined significantly in the last 3-4 months. Especially in terms of hygiene, quality, and service. The 🚺 restrooms are so awful; they always smell extremely strongly of wet, old, dirty cleaning rags! That alone is reason enough for us to stop going there. Recently, there have been a lot of employees wiping the milk nozzle or milk jug with a used rag while the coffee is frothing, and in the process, they get the rag in the milk. So disgusting, an absolute no-go! On top of that, if something goes wrong—for example, you get a dirty spoon, the wrong milk, or the cup is only half full—you get a bad feeling, as if the complaint were unnecessary! Last time, the "supervisor" first walked through the branch to find the employee who made the cappuccino, and then asked her which milk she had used. As if I had nothing better to do than say it was the wrong milk. It's so much fun getting the wrong thing, having to complain, and then waiting again! I have service experience myself, and when something goes wrong, you express your regret, fix the mistake, and that's the end of it. It's really sad that you're already impressed when you have a friendly, capable employee.

Today, an elderly lady fell because the floor was wet and hurt herself. Three of the younger waitresses made fun of her. An absolute no-go for me!

1 star – Disappointed again! Had a bad experience at the McDrive for the second time. This time, two Big Tasty meals were ordered specifically with curly fries instead of regular fries. What did we get? Only one portion of fries, the other one missing entirely. Coke? None! Apparently, they no longer offer Coke with curly fries. Since when? No information, no notice, simply omitted. Paid for a meal, but only got half – that's simply outrageous. One time, you could consider it an oversight, but this is the second time something like this has happened. A look at other reviews shows: We're not the only ones. Very disappointing, something urgently needs to change.

Today (July 28th) I was at the drive-thru around 8:00 PM. I'd like to especially commend the young man with dark, curly hair who handed me my food: He was exceptionally friendly and polite. His demeanor was warm and attentive, with small gestures that make a big difference. Employees like this make all the difference. Thank you for this GREAT SERVICE!

I was there with my friends in the evening at the Drive-In and were served very nicely by an employee named Jolina. She was very friendly and had a breathtaking demeanor. She was very pretty. Give her a bonus!

Very dirty there and the toilets are unacceptable.

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat and some exercise while passing through. A small but adequate outdoor play area for children, which is also fenced in. Dining tables are right next to it, so you can eat in peace. We ordered to be seated and clearly placed the sign. The employee came off grumpy (she didn't see us at first) because the food was supposedly not brought to the "second terrace" as part of the table service. We very politely explained that we didn't know and it wasn't written anywhere. The employee simply replied rudely: "The signs aren't there yet either." But the tables on the "second terrace" even have numbers for table service. Sorry, McDonald's, THAT wasn't a shining example in terms of service and friendliness: "Sit 6."

Unfortunately cold and not tasty

Unfortunately, this is the third time in a row that I haven't had a complete order. There's always at least one item missing...and when that's the Birger on the menu, it's really inconvenient.

The young man at the McDrive-thru is truly the worst (curly, slightly longer brown hair). The promotional glass that came with our order was out of stock, so we were promised another one. There wasn't one at the checkout, which we only noticed when we left. When I entered the store, the rude man called me a scammer in front of his colleague, simply because he couldn't do his job properly. Then I even tried to remind him who we were so he could remember who we were and that the glass hadn't been given to him, but he didn't respond at all, denied it again, and simply walked away. I don't understand how anyone could be unsuitable for a job at the McDrive-thru. This man is truly the worst!

A completely normal McDonald's with the typical ambience. Apart from the crookedly stacked burgers, there's nothing in particular to complain about. A small minus point: the toilets only have cold water.

The McDonald's restaurant in Wechloy is actually very good, but what I used to find better was standing directly at the checkout and ordering and paying straight away.

I ordered a cocoa with oat milk and got cow's milk. I was the only customer in the store and that wasn't the first time either... If that doesn't happen, it's a classic, good McDonald's.

Absolute disaster. We were there every day and were always satisfied. But for some time now... nothing has been going on. An incredible 30 minutes for a cheeseburger and ice cream. Other customers experienced the same thing, some had their money paid out again.

Very unfriendly employees with poor German knowledge

I was driven here by hunger for breakfast and a long wait. I'm not a McDonald's goer and I had to ask around first. The employee for Order 105 gets 6 out of 5 stars. Something customer-oriented, great! The food itself... well. I had a wrap with scrambled eggs and bacon and a bacon & egg muffin. You could definitely have used the wrap as a towel in the bathroom and the size of the muffin makes you wonder because it fits into a chocolate box and the lid can then be closed easily. Summary: great staff but I would go somewhere else for breakfast soon.

We don't come here that often but when we do get something the food is always fresh and delicious. To date we have never had any problems with incorrect items that we received instead of the actual order. The store is also clean and the employees are nice. It's just a shame that the employees don't understand you exactly or you don't understand the employees because there's still a big language barrier here. This makes it a bit unnecessarily difficult for the guest to find out things if their colleagues don't speak German.
