Unfortunately, I have to revise my positive review. I hate ordering from those flat-screen TVs in restaurants. I prefer to order takeout via the app. It always worked well. This weekend, I wanted to order again and pay in cash as usual. But that's no longer possible. I want to have the option of paying with cash or card. It worked until now. But as it is, I unfortunately have to say goodbye to McDonald's. The food is delicious, but if I can no longer order on my terms via the app, I'll have to go to another chain.

It's unfortunate, but every order here seems to be wrong, and there's always something missing. I seriously wonder what kind of staff works here. First order: Ordered five meals, but didn't receive a single portion of fries. Of course, no one was available by phone to clarify this. Second order (despite being told!): I specifically pointed out that fries were missing last time. The result? Another portion of fries was missing. As if that weren't enough, this time the burgers were so spicy that my children couldn't eat them. This is not only annoying, but deeply unprofessional and disappointing. This level of error is unacceptable. I can only strongly advise against visiting here.

This McDonald's is just crap. If you don't check your order every time you go to the McDonald's, you end up leaving with only half the food. I bought two Happy Meals. When I got home, the kids were already super excited, and then came the shock... One of the Happy Meals was missing all the nuggets :-(, and the kids were in a bad mood. And that wasn't the first time something was missing... That's how you make money, of course...

I have NEVER had an encounter like this in any McDonald's branch or restaurant. I drove through the Macdrive and placed my order: "2x Iced Matcha Latte, one regular with milk and one with oat milk." I was then politely asked to drive to the first window. When I was paying, I immediately noticed that this was the employee I was speaking to. I paid and then drove to the second window to pick up the drinks I had ordered. At the second window, I was asked to drive to the front and wait in my car. I did this and waited. After about 5-7 minutes, a very stressed woman came to my window and ordered me 2 matchas, one regular with milk and ice, and a small warm one. She gave me the drinks and was in such a hurry that she didn't even give us straws. When I asked for straws, I noticed how warm the small matcha was and pointed out to her that I had ordered a cold matcha with oat milk. Her answer was, "No, that was what my colleague told me." I then said, "I ordered two iced matcha lattes, one with regular milk and one with oat milk." To which she replied, "My colleague says hot, clear matcha." To which I said, "Well, I definitely ordered two iced matcha lattes with oat milk and regular milk." The lady then tried to run away, so I asked her to take the incorrectly used matcha and bring me a new one. She snatched the warm matcha out of my hand, and I called after her, "I need two straws, please." When she came back the second time, the matcha was clear, but it tasted very much of oat milk. Once again, I wasn't asked for straws. I had no choice but to go in and speak to my supervisor. He made me a new matcha that was much greener and didn't just contain oat milk, and he apologized. How anyone can employ someone like that remains a mystery to me. Especially blaming your colleagues instead of working as a team and simply swapping the matcha… The parking situation is very difficult and not particularly well thought out, which is why it can fill up very quickly.

We were passing through. Our first impression of the store... Dirty and icy cold due to the air conditioning being turned up full blast. But what we then experienced was something we've never experienced at McDonald's in our entire lives (and we're 36, 37, and 59 years old). One of the burgers had the wrong toppings. And what was even worse: The burger was ice cold, the cheese on it was so dried out that it was crumbling. Our special requests weren't added. When we politely asked for a replacement, it was initially politely accepted. But about a minute later, a FURY came to the table and slammed the burger down like it were a toy. This FURY, who unfortunately also didn't understand what was going on due to her broken German, or didn't want to understand, repeatedly touched the burger with her fingers and shoved it into the wrapper. She yelled at us over and over again. Of course, I snapped back and asked her if I had to argue about getting a new burger. She continued arguing with us as if we were on the street in some ghetto! In the end, I got louder, so that other people were also completely stunned by what she was doing. I got a new burger. With the wrong toppings. Since we had a 5-year-old child with us, I took a deep breath and left. We have never experienced such DISGUSTING behavior before. Disrespectful, unfriendly, and angry. Maybe the good woman should look for another job. Preferably somewhere where she doesn't work with people and doesn't have to talk! Never again!!! A complaint will also be sent to McDonald's!

For a while, we had a shortage in our order EVERY Wednesday (only noticed at home when we were distributing the food). An immediate call resulted in an apology from the team leader on duty and a refill and an apology apple turnover the following week. This problem now seems to have been resolved. However, the preparation times are too long for a fast-food restaurant. This isn't a McD SG Wald problem, though; it's the same in all branches because the food, including the standard burgers, is only prepared when ordered.

Last choice! Mcces isn't my fast food of choice anyway but the store is really the last one. I have never picked up a complete order at Mcdrive. You always wait at least 5-10 minutes at the Mcdrive until your order is ready. Coffee cups are often only half full. Finally, I was happy to drink an iced coffee shake with caramel. The employees don't even understand German, how do they want to know what goes in there. I got a Mcflurry with caramel in a drinks cup. Every time a disappointment. I'll continue to avoid the store. I had the experience years ago: Ordered via video board for my son. He wanted the cheese nuggets (that was what it said on the board), but he was given chili cheese nuggets. The confrontation that my son (7 years old) couldn't eat was answered with the statement that they had to find out beforehand. The management did not understand that the name and missing information on the board were incorrect. I should call McDonald’s. I did that and was told to contact the franchise company. An email brought the same result. So no one felt responsible for the wrong name and no one helped. So money was spent for nothing or for the bin. The nuggets remained at the counter and our Daniele never visited a McDonald’s branch again.

The employees there, especially the older, strong lady who was also at McDrive around midnight on November 11, 2024, are often very unfriendly. That's just not possible in service. It's not just me either. I go there regularly and notice the old lady's unfriendly manner in others too. During the last visit, the customer in front of me told the lady that he would rather go to Ohligs than order there. In addition, the lady constantly makes mistakes and forgets something or gives out drinks in smaller sizes than the ones they were ordered and paid for. The store is often unclean, the tables are rarely wiped down and I don't feel comfortable there. To top it off, it has happened to us several times now that we had to drive up and wait for the “fresh” food and still got cold fries and lukewarm, soggy nuggets. Where are the supposedly strict controls by McDonalds?

I ordered and picked up plant based nuggets online today, and while eating I noticed that some of them tasted very much like chicken and some hardly at all. I often eat the plant based nuggets so I know the taste too. I look and see that I have two different nuggets in the package, see photo. One with light meat like they never look like otherwise, so with 99% certainty it's chicken and the others, like the plant based ones, are always a little darker. For the photo they were bitten off and spat out at the same time, so it's not because of anything else. Disgusting. And when I asked about it, I didn't even get an apology, I was just taken back but still had to use the gas at my expense, no apology or compensation for that (go to McDonald's, eat home, return to McDonald's, return home). So 4 journeys by car are completely free. Ridiculously bad service and without question not allowed to sell meat as a meat substitute.

This is the very last store in the world. Since I returned to Solingen in 2020, this was my third time there. Not at all in the last 2 years. Garbage (napkins, chips, paper) was in the area behind the cash registers, in front of the deep fryers. The sauces for the ice cream ran out of the dispenser. Likewise, the milkshake “dispensing system” was really full of shake residue. Anything but appetizing. Cheeseburgers were totally dry and only lukewarm. Once again not everything was there. Got breakfast on Sunday morning and waited for over 15 minutes. That you always have to control everything. 3x 6 mini pancakes are missing, 1x McMuffin® Bacon & Egg is missing. Then always do this before driving in mc drive even though no one behind me is faster or anyone is behind me at all.

Sometimes unfortunately a bit crowded and the cleanliness outside leaves a lot to be desired. BUT.....My grandson always finds a quick connection to the slide and that's the most important thing to me 😜

It's just a McDonald's, what can you say about it 😄 Friendly staff, often a short waiting time at the drive-in and the usual McDonald's "quality". The exit is a bit stupid as a left turn but well that's nothing earth-shattering 😂

Tables and benches outside were dirty, tray trolleys were completely overcrowded, the toilet seat only had a hulp on it and there was no toilet paper available. There was a bit of chaos at the food counter

I ordered at 3:54 p.m. via Lieferando, which has the platform monopoly at McDonalds. At 5:20 p.m. I still haven't received my order. When I called, I was told with the worst possible knowledge of German that Lieferando was currently having problems. Not more. There was no "We're sorry about your order" or "We'll sort it out for you now" but only "Call Lieferando". Of course, it's great if the platform and the restaurateur can always blame each other for the responsibilities. As a customer I find it terrible how you are treated starving and without any compassion or sense of service. I will no longer order from Liefernando or from this McDonalds. Shame on you!

Was there again today to redeem a voucher from my cell phone. I was told that the coupon was not valid and asked me if I had already scanned it at one of the terminals. I said no and was told that you could enter it that way. Attention! You will then get your points in the app not! This is the second time they tried to rip me off, but this time I insisted that the coupon be scanned after reloading. I get something for dinner there at least once a week and collect in the app "usually" diligent points. I'm really disappointed that Mäcces needs something like that.

A Burger King visit is a must... it just tastes so good there... I always enjoy coming back.

I just ordered a small fries (to go). The employee then scooped the fries from the bowl into a plastic container with his hands (wearing gloves). I immediately unwrapped everything after leaving the store and ate the first one. It was cold. All the others were cold too. I find that absolutely outrageous. He should have realized they were cold and given me new ones instead of old cold ones.

September 17, 2025 at 9:45 a.m. The cashier didn't know how to speak to customers, especially women, and was extremely rude. Please have the manager instruct him again. This is completely unacceptable!!!

Long wait, food cold... Waited 15 minutes for a cheeseburger, even though it was empty. The cheeseburger was so cold the cheese wasn't even melted. Disgusting, never again.
