This is the third time now. I've been waiting for a solid half hour for a simple order. The male colleagues don't seem to take their female colleagues seriously at all. They ignore each other and it feels like they're doing their jobs for the first time. I won't be coming back; communication doesn't seem to be a problem anyway. Thanks.

Since this McDonald's is the only one in the area with extended opening hours and a drive-thru, we were regular customers. Unfortunately, the quality of the orders and the service have deteriorated significantly in recent months. On one visit, several items were missing (including a burger, nuggets, and a mug), and the large order of fries was only about half full. After noticing this, we reordered two McFlurries via the app – paying with points and PayPal. However, this order didn't appear in the system, probably due to the long wait of over 30 minutes at the drive-thru. Despite providing all the necessary documentation, we only received our order after a lengthy discussion and as a "goodwill gesture." A week later, we encountered further problems: The drive-thru was now completely closed, allegedly due to nationwide technical difficulties. We were advised to place the exact same order again at the restaurant and request a refund via email. Shortly afterward, a uniformed police officer arrived with the same issue, and the system suddenly started working again, and both orders were processed correctly. A look at other reviews reveals that similar incidents appear to occur regularly. Several customers report being turned away after making payments via the app, with instructions to request a refund by email, which in most cases never materialized. Our tip: Check your orders directly at the point of pickup and avoid paying in advance via the app – or even better: find an alternative place to eat.

Never again. I've been going there regularly for a year because I live nearby. I can only agree with the previous reviews. I was told to make room because of the lunchtime traffic, and they assured me everything would fit, but what happened? The shake fries were missing (well, my own fault). I ordered them once before, and the burger bun was on the bottom in the middle, and the bottom patty was in the middle too. It's getting worse and worse there, so now I'd rather drive a few minutes further! Communication with the staff there leaves much to be desired!

We ordered at the drive-thru, everything was fine, but the salad (!!!) – two torn leaves – you can't be serious! It's very annoying that we only checked the order at home; otherwise, we definitely would have demanded a refund. Bottom line: Check what you're getting right there on the spot.

Overall, this is a generally acceptable McDonald's branch, especially when the good employees are on duty. Sometimes, however, you'll encounter less friendly and less motivated staff. My orders have been complete and always hot 99% of the time. Ordering via the McDonald's app is recommended! The wait times at the drive-thru can be a bit long at times (especially during peak hours and when the employees aren't up to par).

Very slow, often half the order is missing

So, we wanted to order food at the drive-thru, which took 15 minutes before we could even place an order. Then the guy was incredibly rude! He suddenly said, "We don't have coupons... they don't work at McDonald's"?? Then we asked for ice cream, and he said, "We don't have any anymore, the machine is being cleaned." When we cautiously asked for a milkshake, we got a curt reply, "I already told you that," with a flyer in tow?! On top of that, the unusable coupons made it really expensive, especially since they said nuggets weren't available as part of a meal deal. That meant ordering everything separately! In short, the food was okay, apart from the fact that some things were no longer available, like: burgers, ice cream, milkshakes... The "employee" was unfriendly, annoyed, and seemingly overwhelmed, as he was operating both kiosks alternately.

I have to say that my Hamburger Royal TS had too much lettuce and was just thrown together.

For the second time, not all items in the order were delivered. Delivery was via Lieferando. Not recommended if you need delivery. I can't comment on the local service.

We pre-ordered and went through the drive-thru. The employee at the window kept saying "Just a moment, please" and closing the window again. Small nuggets were missing from our order. The large nuggets were flat even though we ordered chicken (which tasted awful!). And all this at those prices! Not recommended; go to a different McDonald's instead. Worst McDonald's in Leipzig.

Unfortunately, it's very weak. Waiting half an hour at the drive-thru for your food (fries and nuggets) is nothing like fast food anymore. Unfortunately, no restaurant is open nearby, otherwise I would have gotten duck with dumplings and red cabbage there more quickly, along with a drink beforehand. Honestly, this McDonald's on Rackwitzer Straße is a complete disaster. Every time I pick up something from the drive-thru, half of my order is missing or it's completely wrong. The store is in total chaos—no organization at all. A business like that can't survive for long. I give it 0 out of 5 stars.

It's a real shame that even the simplest orders can't be fulfilled. Things are constantly missing, and a change to one burger is made to all of them! I shouldn't have allowed myself to do that at the Al La Carte! Unfortunately, one of the most unreliable burger restaurants in Leipzig.

How quickly things can change or develop. Today, my drink fell off the table, and a friendly employee immediately came and brought me a new one.

Google Maps said it was open. I drove 35 kilometers – it was closed. Of course, that doesn't matter to you. I hope you always receive the same level of service.

My kids wanted to do a Spicy Dip Challenge, so we ordered and paid at the drive-thru. At the last window, we were told the challenge was no longer available. We then asked for our money back (by debit card). No luck! They had to write an email... So, they sent me away without food, but with payment. After 14 days and three emails, I'm still waiting for my money. It's simply speechless!

We ordered from Mecces on Lieferando. Unfortunately, the food never arrived. When we contacted the branch by phone, the employee immediately opened a ticket. We didn't get our food, but we got our money back. The restaurant staff were very friendly and accommodating. So far, everything has always worked out well. Only after the situation had to be legally resolved and the appropriate presence was shown did the shift manager reluctantly refund the money. In conclusion: Anyone who visits here can expect incomplete orders, extreme wait times, and zero communication. This was definitely my last visit – absolutely not recommended.

I can't recommend this MC. Even the low standards for a fast-food restaurant were significantly exceeded here. Almost an hour of waiting and still no food. Better to take the highway...to Döbeln or something if you have to have an MC.

So, we were just at this branch... It was sheer chaos... We waited about 45 minutes for our order... Of course, we didn't double-check... When we got home, we realized the ice was missing... Bravo! So we should have unpacked everything and checked it there. This matcha drink is just disgusting and has nothing to do with matcha, but maybe I'm not sure. The burgers and fries were cold, and some of the burgers looked like accidents. I was also told that someone had stolen my order from the counter... Okay.

No, milkshakes are dispensed incorrectly, and sometimes orders aren't processed at all. I have absolutely no idea why people still go here. I recommend the mccess at the exhibition center.

We've been regulars here for lunch for about two years. We order our food online in advance using the app. More than half of the time, something is missing. Unfortunately, this has always been the case, but the friendly service compensated for it. Recently, however, the service has unfortunately deteriorated significantly. In addition, the French fries are nowhere near as good as those at other McDonald's branches in Leipzig. The bags are relatively sparsely packed, the fries aren't crispy, and some aren't even hot.

Very long wait times As a taxi driver, I often take my passengers here. Unfortunately, I always have to wait a very long time for the food. Often, there are only two employees on duty, and they can't manage to serve the many waiting customers promptly. This is very inconvenient for both me as the driver and my passengers.

Ordered a coffee and an apple pie from the McDrive-thru, got it half an hour later. 🙈 Ordered food from a restaurant, waited a long time, then the receipt was gone, and I had to wait a very long time for it. Not recommended. Hopefully, things will get better.

I needed help with my order. I was told to finish the order and do the rest at the cash register. After the employee realized it wasn't working, she let me walk into a trap and didn't think it was necessary to inform her shift supervisor before the order was sent. 7:15 pm 24.8.2025, I drove there and ordered 4 food menus. 3 big Tasty bacon menus, 1 Big mac menu And 20 chicken nuggets, total 58€ They packed and gave it to me, said the food was enough, but when I got home, the family of 4 people but missing 1 big mac and 1 big tasty bacon🥲🥲🥲 I called 2 times in a row but no one picked up the phone, my husband and I were hungry 😡

Basically one of my favorite Meccan restaurants because it's so perfectly located on the way out of Leipzig. I can't complain about the food per se either; it's actually always pretty fresh. But what they screw up every time is the coffee. I don't know how many times I've ordered a cappuccino with caramel syrup and how many times the caramel syrup was forgotten :D I'd say 9 out of 10 times. It's a bit annoying, if you're going to charge me for this, then please include it, right :D

I will never visit this restaurant again! Every time I think it might be better than the last experience. But it's actually getting worse and worse. After ordering three items, they ask me if I want one for two ice creams or a large cardboard box. The cardboard box is simply handed to me through the window, even though my hands are full of ice cream. In conclusion, the quality of the food is poor, the wait time is always long, and the service is awful. Will never order from there again or ever recommend it.

People, when you order, please check everything every time! We had a few things: a Royal Maple BBQ & Bacon, a Coke, and the strawberry milkshake turned out to be vanilla. Last time, a McSundae was also made incorrectly. We called, but no one answered. We were very disappointed with the service.

I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant. I've been there several times and have been more disappointed each time. Either you wait an extremely long time for your food, you're not allowed in at all even though the restaurant is open according to its opening hours and people were sitting inside, or, as was the case on my last visit, there was a veritable plague of insects wreaking havoc there, and the fries were served with a dead fly. Today we thought we'd order, but when I saw which street the branch was on, I was initially going to cancel, but then thought maybe it would be better this time. Small spoiler, it didn't get any better; there were no drinks, no 9-pack nuggets and, once, no fries. We will never set foot in the branch again.

We wanted a breakfast to-go. The ordering process was quick, but unfortunately, the mini pancakes were very dry and the muffin was torn. Pieces were outside the bread. I was standing there and just wanted a lid for my drink, three people were having a private conversation, and one person was working. She then gave me the lid after serving other customers. No reaction from the others. Most of the time, there's trash everywhere, and the counters are completely full. Of course, they don't tidy up when you can have a conversation. The first McDonald's restaurant with consistently friendly employees! No comparison to the other branches in Leipzig! The only two criticisms I have are the fries that somehow always stick and the air conditioning in the restaurant, which seems to be set to freezing 😄 Update June 15, 2025: Since this branch offers delivery, service in the restaurant has taken considerably longer. Delivery services are preferred.

Ice cream was melted, unfortunately with little chocolate sauce and little Oreo and 6 euros for delivery!

One of the worst McDonald's visits. Three orders were missing curly fries, and one meal was missing entirely. And to finish, instead of three triple chocolate cookies, we got three donuts. Not to mention the careless way the burgers were presented. This McDonald's should be left out of your travel itinerary (at least during peak times).

Classic McDonald's taste, but too few staff, or rather staff completely overwhelmed and an absolutely unclean atmosphere.
