McDonald's in Leipzig

This morning I ordered a White Choc Macchiato, he brought me this green drink, I told him that it wasn't what I ordered, he said for sure that the drink was that, I went with him to the vending machine to show him what I actually ordered and he brought me the hot chocolate, it would be better if the bosses trained the employees better, this is unacceptable, my worst experience

Absolute disaster. We were there at 9:25 p.m. Upon entering, we noticed that the floors were littered with trash and napkins. The clearing carts were overflowing. We were just about to order at the terminal when someone rudely called out from the counter: "Come to the cashier." No sooner said than done, we immediately received the next comment: "You must have wanted to order takeout, we're closing in 5 minutes." I then asked the unfriendly man if it was possible to do so in a friendly manner. We immediately received another stupid comment and left the restaurant.

Absolutely terrible. We stood in line for 10 minutes, which isn't a big deal. When it was our turn, the employee told us to wait a moment, which was completely understandable. But when another employee told us to place our orders at the machine and sent us away, we left. Many people had placed their orders before us, so why was it a problem for us now? Especially since you have to pay with a card at the machine. Never again!

If I could, I wouldn't give it a star. It's 9:30 p.m. and they're not letting any more customers in. They're locking the doors even though there are still customers inside. The door says "Open until midnight." The staff are absolutely rude and disrespectful!

Tables aren't wiped and trash isn't taken away. The food is okay and the service is okay.

They only accept a voucher, unlike all the other stores. I was very disappointed. I'll probably go to the Autobahn next time. Excellent service there.

I'd gladly give it zero stars. At 9:30 p.m., you find yourself standing in front of a closed restaurant, even though the opening hours say it's open until 1:00 a.m. And there's not even a sign explaining why. The kids were hungry after the RB Leipzig game. Absolutely disgusting.

We had a very long wait at the drive-thru, even though there was no one ahead of us. Furthermore, it wasn't possible to get an extra paper straw. Unfortunately, these straws make it impossible for small children to get a drink without the straw getting soggy. It wasn't even possible to get an extra straw for an extra charge. As a result, the drink wasn't enjoyable and wasn't entirely possible.

Every time you get to the drive-thru, all you can do is wait for the bag to be empty! Today was the last time I order from there! Hire more capable people, or at least people who can count to three!

Waited 1 hour for the order...pointless

I placed a large order today around 6:45 PM, intending to eat at home with friends at the end. The burgers were very carelessly thrown together due to time constraints and look accordingly unsightly. A lot of things were missing from my order. Unfortunately, due to the large quantity (which was packed in several bags), I didn't check – my fault. But three burgers and two side dishes were missing. Even one of the four drinks was wrong. Sorry, but that's just really bad! It's okay to be missing a sauce once, but to order €70 worth of "food" from McDonald's and have so much missing? That will never happen to me again!

So, minus 10 stars!!!! We had to wait 40 minutes for food, never experienced at McDonald's, and to top it all off, the system deleted our order. Thank goodness we kept the receipt. Disaster!!!!

Absolutely filthy restaurant, one of the worst McDonald's I've seen in Germany so far. Appetizing is something else entirely when you consider the sanitary facilities and the flooring throughout the restaurant.

Absolutely not recommended. Over an hour of waiting, no tablets left, and no paper to dry yourself with in the restrooms. And it was only half full. Arguments among the staff. The staff are completely overwhelmed. The store management was nevertheless very helpful and friendly. Enjoy your meal.

No, no ketchup, mayo, or mustard with fries. Disappointing!

Just got something to eat at the McDonald's drive-thru. It took less than 5 minutes to get home. The fries were cold and wrinkled. What a disgrace! This wasn't the first time my order wasn't delivered correctly. Update: I was there today, August 29, 2025, around 11:30 PM as a pedestrian. Only the McDonald's was open, and pedestrians were ultimately and misleadingly not served. An argument broke out between staff and customers, which ultimately led to me leaving without eating. Thanks for nothing!!! It's about time they got a new owner. Too bad, then I'll just go to BK or KFC in the future.

My visit to McDonald's was a complete disappointment! The trash was overflowing and hadn't been emptied once in the entire 40 minutes we were there. The women's restroom wasn't even clean. When we asked for a second straw, I was not only turned away but also laughed at! I've rarely experienced such disrespectful behavior. Definitely not a pleasant visit!

When I asked if I could have a straw with my drink, I was given only a spoon. The employee replied: "There's no straw with a Sprite."

The door is already closed at 9:30 on a Friday. I don't use the damn McDrive. Really bad.

There's trash all over the floor, dirty tables, and the tray-return carts overflowing. I don't even want to know what the restrooms look like.

Parking lot very clean nice service gladly again

The service is always friendly and attentive to cleanliness. Don't hesitate to return the full amount. We were there with three children, who naturally played, and no complaints about noise. In fact, they even gave each of the children a book. Great, would go back anytime👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Dear McDonald's Team, I would like to give you feedback on my visit to your branch today. Unfortunately, it was not satisfactory. The food was reasonable with some minor flaws (the burger was only lukewarm, the ice cubes in the iced coffee were missing), but the behavior of one employee was very irritating. My polite request for a second straw for my iced coffee was met with an inappropriately rude tone. The employee wanted to know why I needed an extra straw and explained to me in a patronizing and rude manner that I "received one straw for every drink—that's all I get." When I pointed out that this had never been a problem at other branches, I was given an equally rude response, saying that "it's like this everywhere; these are the instructions at every McDonald's." I find this employee's tone inappropriate and disrespectful. As a guest, I expect polite, service-oriented behavior—especially when I make a simple and understandable request and explain it. I'm fine with paper straws, but after half a cup of iced coffee, they're so soft that they often become unusable. I hope you take this feedback seriously and discuss it internally so that future guests experience more pleasant service.

Influenced by the many rather negative reviews, we came here for breakfast with mixed feelings. It's typical McDonald's, but not dirty. Sure, there were a few crumbs lying around, it's self-service after all. But we received friendly service and enjoyed our breakfast. Afterwards, we cleared our dishes and wiped the table again with a napkin. The next guests can arrive.

Even one star is too many. There's really only one word for it: "terrible"! To give you an impression (and to warn you), I'll write a review anyway. I've been to many McDonald's branches in my life, but I've never experienced anything like this. We (parents + two children) were passing through. We walked in, went straight to the ordering terminals without looking around, placed our order, and paid with our cards. We turned around to find a seat. Our mouths dropped open, and we were truly shocked. We immediately regretted our order. It was deserted, only one other customer. Finding a seat was still impossible because it was extremely dirty. There were trays and trash all over the tables. There was trash under the tables. The chairs, benches, and tables were completely filthy, covered in grease, and covered in food scraps. I went to the counter and was greeted in a very friendly tone (ironic) with "What do you want?" I replied, "A tablecloth." He came back with a soaking wet cloth, quickly smeared it over our table, and disappeared again. But not because he was stressed; he just stood there bored as before. The table was just as dirty as before, only wet. I was losing more and more of my appetite. Unfortunately, since we had already paid by card, we sat down after I had cleaned everything with wet wipes. Our eyes wandered, and we lost more and more of our appetite. There were food scraps, cups, spills, and street grime all over the floor. I have no idea how long this had been going on. All the tray carts were completely full, and the trash was already piling up on top. So it was understandable that people were just leaving their stuff on the tables. I have no idea why it looked like that, because there were more than enough people there. But they just didn't do anything and just stood around because nothing was happening. I'm not really picky, but that was totally disgusting. The next day, I even had cold sores. 🙈 The photos are just excerpts; I couldn't photograph the bad parts because I was already being closely watched after I asked for a tablecloth. 😅

After ordering at the drive-thru, I had to wait 15 minutes for my food, even though there was only one vehicle in front of me. Naturally, the food wasn't hot.

Worst McD I've ever known. The McDrive takes forever, even when there's no one in line. I have no idea what's going on. Of course, the friendliness is almost nonexistent.

Tl;Dr: Gave us food poisoning and an attitude to boot. Messed up our order, then huffily slapped together the worst McCrispy we have ever had when we insisted that we’d be given the correct burger. Nuggets were half fresh and half stale and cold.

Ordered online, picked up at the drive-thru. Staff were rather spiteful and unfriendly. No straws were available, even with a warning that people were drinking during the drive-thru. The fries were inedible, rancid, and cold, and there wasn't a single napkin. One of the really bad McDonald's.

A store like this advertises on the door that it's open until midnight on Mondays, but you arrive at 11 p.m. and everything's closed. Change your opening hours or hire employees who know how a clock works.

At least not on a holiday (Whit Monday): The latte macchiato and fries were cold. The wrap fell apart.

I ordered a chicken burger and a cheeseburger at the drive-thru for the gymnastics festival. I wouldn't recommend it! Unfortunately, the value for money is poor. Dry, there's not much sauce, and the patties are like cardboard. In 2004, we had MUCH better food here before the MP! It's a shame what this place has become...

They're not letting anyone in there 2.5 hours before closing time. Shame on you... Seriously... it was the last time I was there today... if you like eating whatever the weather (and it's really windy here), you can still go there, otherwise I can and will only advise against it.

I don't want to complain, but you have to say it like it is. The quality and the overpriced value for money are simply no longer right. Cleanliness suffers, the quality of the food is no longer good, everything is cheap, everything is thrown into random packaging, and the taste isn't what it used to be. And to make it look good and justify the high price, there's lots and lots of salad on it. If I want salad, I order a salad plate. Otherwise, I want to taste the meat, cheese, and sauce, not the hard onions and sometimes the hard green tomatoes.

Hello was on April 30th. At 11:13 p.m. at McDrive... Only the people standing on foot at the window were served! I drove again at 11:53 p.m. without eating! Under all... There were 5 cars behind me but the man at the counter didn't even bother with the Mc Drive in the 40 minutes I was standing there! If I worked like that I would have flown long ago!

According to the opening hours on Google Maps and on the front door, the store should be open until midnight. I got there at 10:15 p.m. and had to stand at the drive-thru in the pouring rain because the restaurant was already closed. There was no satisfactory service at the drive-in. With broken German and a lack of understanding of my order requests, they tried to explain to me why my request wasn't available here, even though it was shown as available in the app. No recommendation!

I was really looking forward to my two McWrap Mozzarella Balsamic Vinegar, when I ordered them at the drive-thru I said I wanted them without tomatoes. I ended up getting the two chicken wraps! Absolutely disgusting! The kitchen staff should be better trained! I would have liked to drive back but I only noticed it on the motorway!!! Very disappointing

Eternal waiting time at McDrive. There hasn't been any progress at all for 30 minutes (not even slowly). The store is busy, but not overcrowded either.

At the time of visit (Saturday evening) there were very many people, there was a 20 minute wait to order, almost no place to sit. The order was prepared incorrectly, but the staff corrected their mistake immediately after being notified.

Unreliable! You pre-order your menu via the app, arrive and then the intercom gives you a little note saying that they're closing at 10 p.m.

The ice cream we ordered was ready 5 minutes in advance, was on the counter and was almost a milkshake when it was handed over, the milkshake was almost liquid. Aggressive and slow employee and not particularly intelligent manager in old age with glasses on April 5th. between 12-1 p.m. I went to get a Happy Meal for my kid on Saturday April 5th just because of Minecraft toys. The restaurant was completely full, but there were only 3 people in front of me. I waited 25 minutes for a happy meal. I wasn't allowed to choose the toy. When I very nicely explained to the employee that I was here for toys and showed the photo of them, she took the happy meal apart and threw the toy I had ordered on the table. I was allowed to pick everything up - it was simply gone without a word... another 10 employees including the manager saw it and didn't react.

Ordering was really quick...I was happy about it at first - until I saw the burger! So cobbled together! Salad was soggy! And the way Salt looked, so did the store: greasy tables, stale fries under the tables. In general, the shop seems to be getting old, as some of the benches and even window frames looked.

Simply underground! Order and pay for breakfast in the app, which saves you time. Actually, but not here... They couldn't get the hang of making my latte macchiato... After a whopping 13 minutes he finally came and only after loud protests on my part because 10 people who came later had already had their hot drinks. In the end it was still so cold that I had to return it. Honest? You just can't do it. Wouldn't this store be located on the site of a shopping park and/or If the trade fair weren't nearby, this place would have been closed long ago.

I experienced a very unpleasant incident at McDonald's today. An employee not only used unwashed dishes when preparing a latte macchiato, but also claimed that the milk used was made from oats, even though it was lactose-free. I immediately expressed my suspicions and the coffee was thrown away. However, the employee didn't pull out a carton of oat milk for the new drink, but instead used the same product again. I stood at the counter and could watch everything closely. The reason for this fraud is unclear to me, but such practices are absolutely unacceptable. I hope this was an isolated incident and that McDonald's takes appropriate action to prevent it from happening again.

No German-speaking staff, forgot something from the order, too few toys in the front so the children couldn't choose, next time we'll go for the kebab

We wanted to get a coffee here for the long drive home. Arrived at the restaurant at 11:25 p.m. and the inside of the restaurant was already locked. Ordering was only possible at the drive in so we did that. When we were at the payment counter we were told there was no more coffee because the machine had been clean for a long time.

According to the opening times, the store is open until 1:00 a.m. on Saturday. At 9:48 p.m. we had to run to Mc Drive to order 3 ice creams because the staff were already busy cleaning. You weren't even allowed to go to the toilet anymore. In the 10 minutes that we had eaten our ice cream in the car, 2 families (4 people + 6 people) drove back because they wanted to eat in the restaurant.

Cold fries. Mediocre service. The parking lot is fine. Toilets are a disaster, stink and nothing else.

I was pleasantly surprised! The food was super fresh, the staff friendly and helpful. I particularly liked the fact that the McDonald's was very clean despite being very busy and that you could find a seat straight away. Definitely a good choice for a quick meal!

So if you look online and look at the front door... It says open until 1 a.m. You get there at 11pm and it's closed except for the drive in... That's very misleading. We asked the boss there about food and pointed out the opening times, and in a friendly way... I just don't expect any more rude answers and especially not "that's what awaits you everywhere now". It's really not that nice. All I can say is that it is closed due to wealth and customer friendliness is extremely important here. The food itself was always ok there and the ambience too. But being dumped there like that is really not great.

A typical McDonalds, nothing special. We were unlucky that we had to wait longer than others to order even though we only ordered standard. The double chili burger was nothing - lukewarm and slapped together. We had it better somewhere else.

After receiving your order, you should definitely check to see if everything is included! No matter how many times we've gotten something there...there was always something missing or a product was defective! Just a shame! Addendum 12/10/24 Went there today and it was confirmed once again...one burger was wrong and one was completely forgotten. The shift manager wasn't in the best mood either and then gossiped with a colleague about other customers... very unfortunate... -NO LONGER RECOMMENDED!-

Dont think I have ever had such experience at McD. Waited over 20minutes, cheese toasts came with cheese all over the paper bag resulting in dry buns glued together with no cheese. Didn’t have to energy to complain and wait another 20min for the most basic item on the breakfast menu

Optimizing workflows and perhaps deploying additional resources during peak hours could increase efficiency. The freshness of the burgers occasionally leaves something to be desired. Old, dry rolls significantly reduce the taste experience. Freshness is a core promise at McDonald’s and there is clearly a need for action. Regular quality checks and precise timing in preparation could ensure that customers always receive fresh and satisfactory products.

Location very convenient, the staff was not very friendly though.

The Restaurant zur Goldenen Möwe wasn't so exciting this time. The smell in the toilet in particular hampered my precious nose's olfactory buds in the long term.

After 25 minutes of waiting in McDrive without a single car being able to place an order, I drove back. Very disappointing.

Quite a small shop but the food came quickly and was of standard McDonald's quality. There are self-service terminals here and, if you ask, you can also get an extra spoon for ice cream, for example. Overall a 4/5

Worst experience ever. Today 22:00 door was closed. You can order through your app or drive through. The lady that was taking my order was laughing to the headset that they are using which was leading to complete misunderstanding . As I looked inside what was going on there was that she was dancing with one of the colleagues and having fun. As I pulled to the window she was very rude. She asked me a question than rolled her eyes 👀 like so and turned around proceeded to the colleague she was dancing with. Her German was basic so it was hard to communicate. I said multiple times „I’m sorry „ becouse I didn’t understood what she was saying. I pulled to the last window a nice guy opened but the food I get was completely cold . 🍟 fries where dry they smelled and taste horrible. Even coffee that I ordered was not hot enough it was a little warmer but not as I get used to mc Donald’s standards. Never again .

Got there shortly after 10 p.m. Door locked even though the app says open until midnight. Order only on McDrive or via APP where payment is only possible via Google Pay, Paypal or credit card. Complain that no more sales are being made but customers are left standing in front of closed doors. Rarely have I seen a juice shop like this. Please write down in the app that you are only open until 10 p.m. then you can save yourself the hassle. Hopefully this rantzbude will have its franchise revoked.

Burgers are often cold when you eat on site. When it comes to take-away orders, 99% of the time something is missing and it is still given out upon request, but it is annoying to always have to check whether everything is correct.

Fast food should actually be quick. But not here!!! The staff is completely overwhelmed and makes many mistakes very slowly. If you can, you shouldn't eat here when there are trade fairs or events. After about 50 minutes the order was placed. :-(

I ordered via the app and still haven't received any food after 45 minutes. We were then informed that the orders would be automatically deleted from the system after a certain period of time and would therefore no longer be processed. I have never experienced a McDonald's branch with such poor organization. It's unclear to me why they don't hire enough employees. We will definitely not visit the branch again.

I'm going crazy! The coupons are still available! McMuffin, croissant and Café Grande for only 4.50 euros! When it comes to breakfast, McDonald's is still unbeaten!
