I was very satisfied with my visit to McDonald’s in Ludwigshafen am Rhein. The restaurant was clean and tidy, and it was clear that hygiene and organization are a priority. The staff was friendly, attentive, and cheerful despite the crowds; you really feel welcome as a guest. Ordering was quick and easy, and the food was fresh, hot, and exactly what you'd expect from McDonald’s. I especially appreciated how easily special requests were accommodated. Waiting 50 minutes for fast food is already quite a feat. But the answer, "The restaurant manager is sleeping at home," was truly the happy meal of the evening. It's just a shame we never actually saw the food, even though we'd paid! At least the staff was alert enough to kick us out.

The food is sometimes decent for McDonald's, but usually very cold and/or dry. The floor is sticky 90% of the time because it's never cleaned, and this is reflected not only on the floor but also on the tables. Service times are the reason I'm writing this review. They vary wildly within the restaurant, from 2-3 minutes to 30 minutes. Today I ordered at 4:42 PM, and the food still hadn't arrived at 5:15 PM, so I left because I didn't have time. This "monster-sized" order consisted of: 9-piece nuggets, a 0.5l Coke, and curly fries. Laughable. Especially when you look around while waiting. Trays with four 20-piece nuggets come and go, the exact same meal as mine, but mine was nowhere to be seen. An absolute joke. As I was leaving, I asked if I could cancel, but of course, that wasn't possible. 🙃

It's not even worth one star. The moment we arrived, we were disgusted. Everything was filthy and disgusting. There were food scraps everywhere – on the tables, benches, and even the floor – not a single spot was truly clean. One person was trying to clean up, while behind the counter, the other unenthusiastic employees, whose behavior reflected the overall lack of cleanliness, just stood around doing nothing. Even my son didn't want to stay and would have preferred to skip his burger. Aside from the lack of cleanliness, we expect much better service and friendliness. So we went to the McDonald's in Rheingönheim, where everything was perfect.

We went to the drive-thru and ordered two Happy Meals, two McChickens, and four cheeseburgers. When we got home, we discovered the four cheeseburgers were missing. I called and was told that couldn't be because everything is weighed. I went back to the drive-thru and picked everything up. They said there was only a 150g difference on the scale... Even that's a huge difference. I think the Happy Meal books were included in the weight. The bottom line is, the scale was right, the cheeseburgers had to be there. So, indirectly, I'm a liar. I left everything there and lost €33.76 (I didn't want to eat any of it on principle, and neither did my family), because I never want to buy anything from a company like that again. My family will never shop or eat at McDonald's again. Poor customer service, but a valuable lesson learned. Eating at home, even if it's "just" a sandwich, makes more sense. I'm furious! The staff filled the Coke with ice because the weight was off. The answer to why they added ice was that customers weren't complaining. 😡 Then they forgot the nuggets, and not for the first time. They need to check everything. It's a real shame.

I was at Mac Drive and wanted to pay with a five-euro note, but unfortunately, it had a small tear in the corner, and the branch said they wouldn't accept it. It's best to give it -5 stars because the staff were very unfriendly and unpleasant. I also noticed that they were working very unhygienically when serving food. I recommend walking 100 meters further and eating at Burger King.

I was just at the McDonald's on Bruchwiesen Strasse at 10:45 PM on September 14, 2025. The outside area is messy, with food wrappers lying around. The interior is no better. The floor is sticky on the path to the tables, a grease trail runs from the counter area into the walkway in front of the counter, the tables are only partially wiped clean, and in the restroom, towels are scattered on the floor; the hand basin is dirty with soap. My food was lukewarm, and my lattice potatoes were mixed with regular fries. When I asked if they could take a look, I was told, "It's just mixed." It looked like leftovers from the frying process, and if I wanted them to, they would make me fresh ones. Honestly, if I order something fresh, I don't want to eat what was left in the kitchen before, only to then point out that someone must have made a huge mistake. I don't think that's right; after all, I paid cash for it. That's a real cheek.

I think it's nice how this branch embodies Mannheim and Ludwigshafen. You can even sit here like rats among the garbage.

Complaint to the McDonald's branch Dear Sir or Madam, I would like to complain about repeated inconveniences with my orders at your branch. I have eaten or ordered food from you several times this year. I've noticed that something is missing from almost every second or third order. Of course, it can happen that an item is forgotten – that's human nature. However, when this happens regularly in such a short period of time, it gives me the impression that the company isn't working diligently. A particularly annoying situation occurred when I ordered several meals, and two of a total of six meals were missing. When I returned to the branch and reported the incident, they unfortunately didn't believe me. Instead, they accused me of trying to "swindle" food this way. I found this reaction very disrespectful. Instead of admitting the mistake and being accommodating, I was insulted as a loyal customer. I find this particularly disappointing, as I've been a regular at McDonald's for years and have spent a lot of money there. Based on these experiences, I now feel compelled to officially complain to you and consider leaving a negative review. Worst McDonald's I've ever been to! Unfriendly, VERY LONG WAITING TIMES, best to go hungry and avoid it!

My order from McDonald's arrived incomplete, and the food that was delivered was completely cold and of poor quality. When I called the restaurant to request that the missing products, which I had already paid for, be delivered, the employee was extremely rude and sarcastic. He actually told me to eat the products "next week when I order again" because they supposedly didn't have any drivers. This kind of behavior is disrespectful, unprofessional, and absolutely unacceptable. I paid for products I didn't receive and demand an immediate refund.

Well, the fact that you took out my wrap is already crazy. But the fact that you're now taking out my favorite burger is crazy. I've had enough of this, or I'm going to Burger King. Best wishes, your regular customer.

Unfortunately, everything was very dirty, and even though it was quiet, we had to wait over 20 minutes for our order. When we asked, a rude employee, who acted like she was working, told us they had been waiting for over 20 minutes and laughed at us. There was trash everywhere, and to top it all off, the food was still cold. I'll avoid this branch and go somewhere else instead.

Well, I always have the worst wait times there...you get forgotten about and then they tell you every time, "Sorry, it's so busy," even though it's half as busy as in Mannheim, and it goes faster there. I waited 17 minutes for two 6-packs and two fries. And then another 10 minutes for one 9-pack. What a nerve...it should be called slow food, not fast food 🤫

You literally stand in the Mc Drive-In here for ages, anytime, anywhere. This place can't seem to get the hang of serving people efficiently...this is slow food, not fast food. Instead of two, they only have one window open, and they do everything...one person, who's always incredibly slow. I've started driving to Rheingönheim because the people on Bruchwiesenstraße can't seem to work any faster. You can sometimes be stuck in the Mc Drive-In here for 20 to 30 minutes when there are only three or four cars in front of you.

The staff was extremely slow, occasionally forgetting to bring our orders to the table. Unprofessional and unfriendly. I won't be going back. 👎👎👎

I wanted to redeem a coupon using points I'd saved. We were rudely informed that we were half an hour early, even though the online and noticeboard stated that the branch had been open for half an hour. I was looking for a café.

The food was more bad than good. The service was very unfriendly, perhaps because they spoke very poor German and had trouble understanding us. They packed us a double portion of chicken nuggets, but they didn't have the squeeze bags for the kids. They didn't have the toy figures either, and when we asked, they didn't know what we meant. Since our paper bag ripped open (our own fault), we wanted a new one. They told us it was our own fault! Huh? Because of a paper bag??? And we also had to carry our drinks (four) individually. We won't be going to this place again 🤢😠

I have found an insect in my french fries and the boss wasn’t accepting it and said that it was our fault, the health department sould make a visit immediately.

I ordered from McDonald's in Ludwigshafen – an hour after we'd been waiting, there was a dead insect between the fries! We reported it immediately and, of course, said we couldn't accept the food under these circumstances. What happened next was unbelievable: The manager argued with us, yelled at us (!), and we were banned from the premises. For what, exactly? For not wanting to eat insects? Instead of apologizing or taking responsibility, we were treated like troublemakers. I've never experienced anything like this. This is not only a blatant violation of hygiene standards, but also a complete failure in dealing with customer complaints. I have documented the incident and will report it to the responsible health authority. McDonald's – shame on you!

Terrible service, dirty hall. We ordered two colas, waited for 15 minutes, they poured half a glass, they had no ice (it was +30 outside), it turned out there were no lids for the cups and no straws either... They really ruined the mood!!!

Long story Food ordered from the vending machine with table service 1x Happy Meal with cheeseburger, fries, ketchup, water, and an apple cone, & of course, the toy. 2x McSmart Meals & 1x 9-pack Nuggets Meal. When the food finally arrived, ALL drinks and sauces, as well as the apple cone, were missing. I immediately spoke to the employee about it, and she said everything was fine and walked away!! I went to the front with my receipt and told another employee what was missing. She immediately got louder and said that she had prepared our tray and nothing was missing. Then I asked her to please come with me and check for missing items. Her response was that I had packed the items in my purse so I could get double. After much back and forth, one of her colleagues made the drinks and told her to give me the sauces, whereupon she picked up two ketchup cones and threw them on me. We left because I can't stand for this kind of behavior. Better give this McDonald’s a wide berth.

Update from June 20, 2025: So far, everything's been fine, BUT I discovered an absolute NO-GO at home. There were dried blood stains on one of my two Coke cups. An employee had apparently touched the cups while bleeding. Unfortunately, I didn't notice it when I received them. That's disgusting and a health hazard!! The processing speed has improved... everything was great at McDrive, quick as a flash, and everything was in the bag 👍

If there's another McDonald's on the way, go somewhere else I was very hungry so I came there around 00:00... You can only order from two machines because the others are broken. The tables are all smeared and dirty. There is rubbish everywhere and when the trays are handed out everything piles up and falls down. In the women's toilet one toilet seat was dirty, in the other cubicle people were pissing in the corner. I pointed this out to the staff and that's what they came up with: we'll be closing soon and then we'll be cleaning... it closes at 3, not 1:30... well, I was really disappointed. I was just hungry but next time I'll think about it again.

Although this store is officially open until 3 a.m., as in my case at 1:30 a.m. they only serve via drive in. Many customers don't know this and then have to queue at the drive inn.

We ordered mc chrispy curry extra without cheese. There was also a label without cheese on the lid. But it was with cheese. We also ordered spicy nuggets. These were completely forgotten but paid for. That was our last visit to mc bruchwiesenstraße.

Order went to SB Terminal very quickly. Our place with a table was pretty dirty, which spoiled the visit a bit. Staff friendly

The dirtiest McDonald's I've seen in a long time: the tables and seats are smeared with leftover food everywhere. Toilets dirty. The whole store looks unkempt. Hardly any staff to be seen. Two of our burgers came with very spicy sauce, even though they weren't ordered spicy. After all, the exchange was free and with compensation for the kids.

I've been a McDonald's customer for more than 40 years now, but today was definitely the last time. Food as usual but, ambience well, tables dirty, toilet even more dirty, service, what's that?. But especially the male employee. Offensive and racist. I politely just asked for a wooden knife to cut the M Burger into two parts. His serious answer: Do they want to stab people? When I asked to speak to the managing director, he replied that there was no managing director here. Then my wife and I left the food and left. A disgrace of "human" I have to emphasize that the young lady who took our order was very friendly.

As an emergency service, we were forced to eat here as the only open restaurant at night. Since the indoor area is closed early and we can't fit through the drive-thru with the ambulance, we have to walk through, whether in rain, snow or cold. Of course I can understand if someone complains that the emergency services are “pushing ahead”, but unfortunately we don’t have the luxury of standing in line for 20 minutes in a heated car and certainly don’t have the time to wait that long. So far we have always been served, tonight we were rejected, we have to queue. Our explanations were ignored. It's a shame... This branch is no longer recommended as an emergency worker.
