McDonald's in Hamburg

I have never had so many complaints in a single order. Paid drink 0.5, got 0.4. Ordered apple bag, got chocolate bag. Ordered spicy nuggets, got regular nuggets. The shift leader was friendly and apologized several times. Since it was generally very difficult to talk to the employees on site (language barrier), I will avoid this branch in the future. Three stars for the shift leader's helpfulness.

After the renovation it's just cold, the ambience doesn't exactly invite you to linger. One might think that they are trying to get rid of the guests here. There is no real contact with the staff, only brief during table service. In the restaurant, someone is always running around aimlessly, looking over their shoulders as they order.

This McDonald’s is the closest to my home. Unfortunately. The waiting time feels like it's not fast food but a real restaurant. Today my take-out order didn't come with the sauce or fries. It's really very sad that service and certain standards seem to only exist on paper.

Even after the renovation: A great team, decent products but the restaurant is cold (no vestibule) and the interior hasn't really become any more comfortable. I miss the old interior!

Ambiance is no longer inviting at all

The worst McDonald's I know. First of all, you wait forever, whether in a restaurant or in Mc Drive. Added to this is the unfriendly staff. Today I was there, ordered 1 hamburger and 1 double chickenburger and I got a double cheeseburger. Unfortunately, I only discovered it when I got home, this branch doesn't even serve two burgers! So bad!

So it's no longer fast food. Waited almost 25 minutes for the food. One had the impression that the employees were a bit overwhelmed with 5 terminal orders at 8:30 p.m.

They remodeled it, what a catastrophe: it's far too narrow everywhere. You come in and there are only the ordering terminals in the middle of the way. Seems extremely uninviting. And in the area where you pick up your food, it's total chaos. No waiting benches, far too little space. You stand directly at the tables where people are eating. And then in this narrow, dark corner the employees walk around with the full trays all the time. You have to make sure that you can still see the scoreboard. But it doesn't actually matter because what it says isn't true anyway. The employees simply call random numbers into the room that have nothing to do with the ad. My number was simply gone, so you have to dig through the crowd and ask urgently for the order, which is then standing around somewhere. Really not a pleasant visit.

The food is typical McDonald's. Culinary enthusiasts are unlikely to get lost here. It was 3 a.m. in the morning. The service was nice, the ambience was good. The disabled toilet had been vandalized. All snapshots.

Is it just a failure, or almost cheating? Twice in a row I ordered a double cheeseburger with a large portion of fries and both times I opened the bag at the next traffic light and the fries weren't even half full. Since these were my only two contacts with this McDonald's recently, I fear that it is unfortunately a scam. Or if I try to put it a little nicer: profit maximization ;) So pay attention to your food in the bag P.S.: and since I had the problem at this McDonald's a few years ago and went back and complained to the checkout and was told that it couldn't be right because you could see grease stains on the box, I'm curious , what the reaction is this time. I particularly noticed an exceptionally good employee named Imed from McDonald's on Eiffestrasse. He is the first McDonald’s employee I have ever seen who spoke clearly. His communication was precise and friendly, which made the visit to McDonald's a pleasant experience.

Ordered via Lieferando. Waited over 1 hour. 1km as the crow flies would have been faster on foot, just ridiculous.

What happened to this branch? Who planned this? After the renovation, it's terribly cluttered and uncomfortable. Even if it's only mediocrely attended, people get in each other's way and everything is somehow stressful and mis-planned. I also wonder how the furniture can be so destroyed even though it has only just opened.

I ordered a chili burger from Mc Drive... it took a very long time and the burger was cold. Very disappointing. I also didn't have time to go in and complain.

I was at the branch yesterday around 11:18 p.m. The renovation is definitely impressive. So far everything is great for me. However, I got a cold burger. After a quick consultation with the shift manager, who was always on the lookout to see if everything was OK (very courteous and helpful!), it was immediately replaced with a new burger and I was kindly given a drink voucher on top. Always my pleasure :)

The service was excellent - the staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. The cleanliness of the restaurant is particularly noteworthy. Everything in the dining room and outside was spotlessly clean. The food was of course delicious again, as you would expect from McDonald's. All in all, always a great experience!

This McDonalds is stylishly remodeled on the inside. I forgot to take pictures in the hustle that’s typically found in a McDonald’s on a Friday night, but there were for instance separate slots in the trash for food, paper and cups. They were also displaying modern art-ish stencils on the wall and the chairs. Looks like a new design concept to me. The shop itself could probably be a bit cleaner, especially the tables were still dirty and there was no cleaner in sight. We ordered through the app and I was surprised by how long it took for them to get the order ready. We waited over ten minutes - I can only assume that there was some sort of rush right then, although it wasn’t even that full. Maybe drive through? Food and drinks were okay. We ordered curly fries and got a portion of curly fries that had a significant amount of regular fries stuffed into the lower part of the box. I wonder how that happened. It doesn’t really portray attention to detail. This is a regular McDonalds in all aspects but one: You can stop by with a boat and order food right on the water.

What a shame how the quality of Mac Donalds has declined. The employees try hard but many coupons don't work. Hope everything works out again soon. My children love it here. Unfortunately, after the renovation, the seating is less comfortable. Oh what a shame, it's a shame everything is stupid...

It's been an absolute disaster since the renovation. The new ambience is somewhere between a morgue, a hospital and a canteen. Bright light everywhere, hardly any opportunity to sit alone or with a small group. It's nice that there is now a disabled toilet right next to the entrance. This was presented to us straight away because the door was open and we were looking directly at the toilet bowl. Someone tried to appear “modern” here and completely missed the mark. Everything is a loveless gray-brown with white tiles. It's already dirty. One can only hope that the seating will be rescheduled again. Furthermore, the staff is terribly slow and unfriendly. And to top it all off, 24/7 as advertised is no longer applicable. From 2 o'clock it will now be closed and it is only possible to order in MCDrive!

Since the renovation it's just been shit. Shortly after opening everything was disgusting, uninviting and the food was still rubbish. There's no cleaning anywhere, the tables are swimming in liquid and you feel like you're in the Stasi, very much being watched. Not recommended

So today you can't redeem a voucher or reward points, the man at the checkout said that the IT department couldn't manage it. It's unbelievable that the IT of such a large company is failing. Digitization flop

After the renovation it's just scary!

Went into the branch at 10 a.m. and left at 10:53 a.m.! TO GO of course! 10 products over 50 minutes and then find out at home that half of them are missing and other inferior products have been added. Unbelievable with a guest volume of 4 tables. Not even a comment about the waiting time is given to you. Thank you for nothing! Maybe think about the service.

Ordered after their remodeling on reformation day. Great that the self ordering works faster with payment now, but personally i don't like what they have done. too open, few nooks to sit alone or with few people. Also 1star only for that order especially, didnt had to wait long what was nice, but the ordered double cheeseburger got double cheese but only one patty on it.

We were there after the lobby had closed, only the DRIVE IN counter was open, actually not a big deal, but 40 minutes of waiting time is not OKAY, then you should close the counter too. If you stand in line, you have no option to leave it.

As often happens, today I ordered something to take away on the screen. The device had extremely long loading times - not user-friendly. Food and drinks came quickly. When I asked politely if I could get a straw with my drink, I was very harshly refused. Open 24 hours a day In order to bridge the time from the end of a concert to the departure of our train between midnight and 5 a.m., we went to the McDonald's, which was supposedly open 24 hours a day (the branch at the main station was closed due to renovations). We were asked to leave the premises at 2:45 a.m , since they have already closed. However, this was not communicated publicly anywhere. Parking lot completely filthy, garbage baskets not emptied, toilets in an absolutely disgusting, unhygienic condition (I've never seen anything like that in a restaurant), parts of the kitchen that could be seen were also not visually appealing. We also had to have breakfast outside. Staff seemed overwhelmed, hardly any communication with guests. Absolutely underground -> Might be a hot tip for the health department!

We were there on 9/8/24. It was just chaotic. The store was packed in the entrance area, one of the entry things was broken and the others didn't work properly either. How often you had to type and not just with us. Card payments didn't work at the terminals either. Just embarrassing. There were a lot of people behind the counter, but they still couldn't manage to finish an entire order. It was almost impossible to count how many times the unfriendly employee had to walk past us. The team boss in gray couldn't think of a solution to get this chaos under control, otherwise he would have been able to make full use of the two cash registers. Of course, the wrong one was in the bag to take away and hot, the burgers would definitely have tasted better. Sorry, but I absolutely cannot recommend this store.

It makes sense to put a sign on the McDrive that says card payment doesn't work here, but you can pay by card in the store. It's getting slower and slower: On a Thursday evening in a half-full store, I waited 17 minutes and 24 minutes for a burger. And then they forgot the sauce too. With one order, I pushed up to the counter after 20 minutes and was reminded that I had been waiting for my burger for 20 minutes. Answer: “I know”.

Friday morning, 4:30 a.m. after a long trip to Denmark, we saw everyone starving, tired and exhausted at Hamburg Central Station; our last resort *the golden M*. We knew this path wouldn't be easy, but the treasure at the end of the rainbow was too precious! After the strenuous walk we reached our destination! And were greeted by the warmest, friendliest and most compassionate McDonald's employees anywhere in the world. After a balanced breakfast, we felt the strength slowly returning to our tired bones and muscles. We will forever feel the deepest gratitude for this meal and we would like to sincerely thank the employees who worked the morning shift until 9:30 a.m. on Friday, August 16, 2024! Top burgers have always been fresh so far and I've been there more than 5 times. Also very friendly workers who have fun at work from what I noticed. 👍🏻 I have to add something again (08/14/24) I visited the shop again today and I'm shocked at how good the burgers are, the new M Burger was really a 10/10 and one of the best of all the burgers. The workers laugh and are in a good mood, as already described, really good work, so you like going to a Mces. And the outdoor area is extremely chilled. I think it's pretty much the best Mces in all of Hamburg! 💯

The employees quickly get confused with the orders if they are taken out of the system too quickly. It has happened several times that an order with extras e.g. Bacon, cheese or chicken in the Caesar salad, products were wrong or missing, sometimes entire Happy Meals were missing, and that was only in the time I waited. It's very annoying when you order for just under €38 (to take away) and then find out that chicken is missing from the Caesar salad, or instead of 2x double chili cheese, unfortunately 1x chili cheese and 1x chicken burger were bagged Order received after 28 minutes, as orders that were not so extensive were repeatedly brought forward. For example, in my order there are 6 cheeseburgers. This was the worst McDonald's I have ever visited. The place was incredibly dirty and the staff looked unkempt and uninterested. We only ordered fries and coke but had to wait more than 15 minutes for it. Everything was slow and chaotic. That same day, after the visit, I felt unwell and had food poisoning. This is the dirtiest and most incompetent McDonald's I have ever seen. I can only advise against visiting this place!

If you know one McDonald's you know them all. The food is actually the same everywhere, which is the goal. There are differences in cleanliness and service. The employees here are generally friendly and accommodating. However, it takes a very long time to get your food, maybe 30 minutes or more. Great for such waiting times, the sign in the parking lot that you can be towed after 1 hour. Eat in record time so that the tow truck doesn't pick up your car before the last fries are eaten. Otherwise, OK but not the best McDonald's in Hamburg.

I specifically said at the checkout that my Mcsmart menu should be plain. Took it with me and unpacked it at home and I see that it is with sauce and salad😡. Already happened twice. I don't feel like going there anymore.

The McDonald's restaurant with a boat dock is supposed to be something special, but unfortunately I don't have a boat and I can't see anything of the dock. It's a shame! Otherwise it's a completely normal McDonald's where the air conditioning fails at 32°! All I see is overwhelmed staff who don't get anything baked here. They stood at the ordering counter for about 15 minutes and no one came. Some special features McDrive and many parking spaces including parking spaces for electric cars with charging function. Otherwise I like the food quite well so I ordered one Iced Shake Choc and NY Cheesecake Oreo & Chocolate Overall the fun cost 7.68.

Unfortunately a rather poor McDonald's branch. 1. Our food wasn't brought to the table and sat around for 15 minutes until I picked it up myself. (Table service selected at terminal) 2. The outside areas were extremely dirty. 3. The sauces were forgotten 4. Food was swapped, which was an absolute disgrace. Instead of planted nuggets, normal nuggets were given, which I noticed when I tried them. I then complained and then got the right nuggets, but still this is an absolute no-go!

It was an unpleasant experience. Our friend is still vomiting since the visit. It needs a little work on hygiene and staff. 1
