I quickly grabbed a meal on the way home.

On December 12, 2025, at approximately 11:35 p.m., I was at the McDonald's on Eiffestraße in Hamburg—and I have rarely been so disappointed. The restaurant prominently advertises Monopoly Milkshakes, which are also more expensive. At the register, I was simply told that these milkshakes "weren't available." No explanation, no mention of them, nothing. To me, this is clear misleading advertising: promoting products, charging for them, and then not providing the change. Even worse was the disrespectful and disinterested attitude of the staff. Instead of a professional response, I was brushed off as if the customer were the problem. Such behavior is absolutely unacceptable for an international chain. If products are unavailable, this must be communicated openly. And customers are entitled to respect, not to be ignored. This branch is seriously damaging the McDonald's reputation. I will avoid this location in the future.

Absolutely delicious food and very friendly service, you notice it as soon as you walk in. If you want to eat at the best McDonald's in Hamburg, just go here. Highly recommended. :)

I'm gluten intolerant, so I ordered a cheeseburger without bread. Unfortunately, I've had the experience twice now that the cheese is placed at the bottom of the packaging. This isn't just a one-off mistake; it happens with every single burger. This is incredibly disrespectful to the customer... the cheese sticks to the bottom and is inedible. It's a real shame, I don't order burgers without bread for fun; I have this condition.

The McDonald's on Eifelstrasse is reliable and usually fast. The food was fresh and the order was correct. The restaurant itself could be a bit cleaner at times, especially during peak hours, but the staff seemed friendly and helpful. Perfectly fine for a quick stop.

We found real chicken nuggets mixed in with the vegetarian ones… there were some mixed in with the 20 Plant Nuggets and the Honey Mustard McWrap Plant. Not cool.

Unfortunately, there are recurring problems with drive-thru orders at this store. Either something is missing or something else is packed.

Fast and friendly service. The staff are very friendly. During peak times, like Saturdays at 6 pm, it can sometimes take a little longer, but that's due to the high demand. Otherwise, we always received our food quickly.

For me, this is the friendliest and cleanest branch in Hamburg. You don't expect such attentive table service at McDonald's. The atmosphere among the staff is really good; you can tell immediately. And there are even flowers on the tables. Great!

The food took over 60 minutes to arrive. The order was simple: two Happy Meals and four cheeseburgers. Half of it was missing, and part of it was even wrong. It's outrageous for a huge chain to deliver something like this.

Shortly after 11 a.m. on a Sunday. There were about 15-18 people there besides myself. Apart from my tablemate, I only saw four others. The kitchen seemed to be struggling to keep up. When my food was finally brought to the table, I asked why I was getting my latte macchiato in a cup and not a glass. The answer: they didn't have any glasses. Surely there must be so few glasses? It annoyed me because the coffee from the paper cups didn't taste good. They do seem to have mugs, though; someone at a neighboring table was drinking a cappuccino. Oh, and the fries were cold, and the McChicken was the worst I've ever had at McDonald's.

By far the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. Super slow, super unfriendly, and soggy breakfast.

As Germany's only McBoat, I find this branch particularly charming. After your canoe trip, you can simply disembark at the dock and order a meal to refuel. Otherwise, it's not much different from other branches.

I had several pieces of real meat in my portion of plant-based nuggets. When I pointed this out, I was lectured about nutritional principles. It's a shame not to be taken seriously for such a massive mistake.

So, with all due respect, if you launch a promotion like the one with Friends and the characters, I expect all employees to execute it as best they can. The first time I ordered, I ordered the "Friends menu" twice and got the same character twice. Ridiculous. On top of that, two burgers were missing. The second order didn't include any characters at all. Please pay more attention to things like this in the future and maybe reduce the order processing by one or two steps.

The store is a complete disaster. I waited over 30 minutes for my order even though there wasn't much to do. The staff is completely out of their minds. They recently stopped accepting cash payments in the app. 😒

Today, I ordered, among other things, a honey-mustard McVitie's Wrap, but unfortunately, as I bit into it, I had to pull a long black hair out of my mouth and realize it wasn't mine! How can something like that not be noticed?!?

When we received our order we realised our double chicken burger only had one piece of chicken we talked to a worker called farruck and he immediately helped us out and gave us a new double chicken burger in less than a minute. He was very kind and easy to talk to

We went to McDonald's today and were served by Farooq. He was incredibly friendly and attentive. Not only did he bring us our food quickly and with a smile, but he also took special care of our child by immediately bringing us a high chair. If you're there, it's okay, as you can complain directly and mention what's missing. Otherwise, stay away. I've tried the store more than once, and something is always missing or squashed and mushy. Never order from here unless you want to pay double for something half as good.

You could just tear the place down and flatten it, including all the employees. You order something and it's basically a game of roulette with what you get—either you get your order or something else. I don't want to say what the reason might be. I pay a tenner for a McSundae and two cheeseburgers. Brgds

0 star for incompetent employees of this branch, sorry to say that. They want to wait you for long and didn't approach you even they already saw you. They want us to used the self service machine but we already tried but didn't found what we want to order. But we saw that if the customers are their countrymen (not German) they are smiling. If you work in this kind of jobs food service you should be approachable and smiling. I know that because me too worked for many years in F&B service. And I treat my customers well because I don't want them to feel bad. Even though sometimes there's some customers that are in bad mood. But still I entertain them with respect so they will realize what actions they've done.

New (renovated) McDonald's – everything in the dining area was very clean. Restrooms were fine. Food was brought to the table quickly, and the staff were friendly.

A modern McDonald's, but nothing special. The fries are sometimes a bit underdone.

It's better not to order anything from here. Three-quarters of Lieferando orders were missing several items. Lieferando has refunded them so far, but this shouldn't happen so often. Sure, it gets stressful from time to time, but the fact that the restaurant apparently doesn't even check that an order is complete and correct is a complete slap in the face to the customer.

The delivery was supposed to take 15-30 minutes, but it took over two hours to arrive, completely cold. I absolutely can't recommend ordering from anyone!

We went to the McDonald's drive-thru on August 23, 2025, at around 3:45 a.m. to order... Waited about 7 minutes at the drive-thru counter, even though no one was in front of us!!! We placed our order, then drove to the pickup counter... waited 15 minutes!!!! The employee was slim, tall, black hair, short on the sides... handed us the bag... I asked, just to be sure, was everything in it? What we ordered? We went through the contents together... Yes, everything was in there...! We trusted the employee's statement...we got home...and what happened...? 2 fries and a chili cheeseburger weren't in it, very annoying!!!! Especially when you ask if everything is included and the employee at the drive-thru switch says yes, then I assume that it's okay (without checking), but that wasn't the case. For this reason, I prefer to drive a few kilometers further and I know that I'll be taken seriously. After all, that's what I'm paying for! I simply expect the product I pay for. Nothing more, nothing less! But here I clearly felt like I'd been ripped off!

Just been to the Eiffestraße branch. Placed my order to eat there at one of the terminals. The first wait was already when I paid in cash. No one felt responsible. According to the receipt, I paid at 9:20 a.m. After almost 45 minutes, I still didn't have my order. It should be noted that people who entered the branch after me received their orders before me. At that point, about a handful of tables were occupied. At least the latte macchiato I ordered could have been handed to me. I then canceled my receipt, even with the wait. Worst branch ever. I've never experienced anything like this at McDonald's. 0 stars

McDonald's has real savings potential here; they could close this branch.

I've been waiting for 45 minutes for a breakfast wrap, a roll, a coffee, and a tea. I've never waited this long for a McDonald's order in my life. Judging by the reviews, this doesn't seem to be an uncommon occurrence. Why not just hire more people if the demand is there? Or at least put up a sign warning you'll be waiting over 30 minutes for orders. Nobody expects that in a fast-food restaurant.

Totally unfriendly service, lacking motivation and enthusiasm. Obviously someone who had a say. This behavior was quite bitter. I wanted to order at the counter, and the guy had just switched cash registers. He yelled to the back: "Is someone coming to checkout?" But no one came, not even after I called twice. Then he finally settled for a simple: "What do you want?" I then ordered a MC Rib with a little less sauce. He immediately started shouting: "That's not possible, and they're already overcooked." He ignored my explanation that I'd ordered it several times before. I turned around and walked a few meters further to Burger King.

On August 11, 2025, at approximately 6:30 p.m. My mother and I wanted to order something at the drive-thru. We simply asked the woman at the drive-thru if we could pay by card and wanted to order. She then said "Wait a minute" and moved the customer behind us to the other counter, making us wait for approximately another 10 minutes. When we asked what that was all about, the woman reacted loudly and disrespectfully, yelling at us through the McDonald's system and refusing to take our order. My mother pulled up and still wanted to order, whereupon the woman slammed her window and gave us a disrespectful hand gesture to leave. (It was the woman with the blue t-shirt, short hair, and dark skin) We celebrated birthdays at this McDonald's for years and often met up with friends or grabbed something from time to time since we used to live next door. But the staff isn't what it used to be. It's a shame that we'll be avoiding this branch in the future. I work in the restaurant service industry myself and know that it can get stressful from time to time. But I've never experienced such utterly disrespectful behavior. Maybe we'll work on respect in the future. And if you don't feel like your job, just quit ;)

The food was great. What's really unacceptable are those automatic doors that keep opening. It's freezing cold in the store at times. In winter, it must be hell.

We were there today on Sunday (2 adults, 2 children). The McDonald's was at most half full, but it still took 30 minutes (!) from ordering to the food arriving. I was about to ask if they served fast food because it didn't seem fast at all; quite the opposite was true! I have absolutely no idea why it took so long to prepare 2 cheeseburgers, 2 chicken burgers, 2 fries, 20 nuggets, and 2 drinks. We weren't the only customers who asked, irritated, whether their food had been forgotten or when it would finally be ready. The floor was sticky and disgusting almost everywhere. When we pointed this out to an on-site employee, the employee simply replied that there wasn't enough time for it, and that the employees would "clean it up when they get around to it and decide for themselves." Then perhaps the franchisee should hire more staff or better ones, because the current ones were obviously overwhelmed, and I can't understand why. When the food finally arrived, it was half cold, tasteless, overpriced, and after an hour at the most, I was hungry again – as if I'd just been eating air. Actually, the only things that make McD's stand out compared to a local burger joint are the speed, the opening hours, and the large network of branches. Speed was definitely not present here.

It's nice that the shop is open 24/7, which is great for grabbing something to eat after a night shift in Hamburg. Waiting times at 5 a.m. are usually around 3-7 minutes, as the food is freshly prepared. You can't really complain.

We ordered through Wolt. We paid €40, and the food arrived 30 minutes later than stated. Half of it was missing, and the food was ice cold. The cheese on the burgers was like a sheet of Plexiglas... after about 20 attempts to reach someone, no one answered the phone. But the advantage was that you couldn't burn your mouth because it was ice cold 🙄

We ordered a McSmart meal and had to wait almost 20 minutes. You can look into the kitchen and watch the kitchen assistant preparing the burgers wipe off the sweat before continuing to prepare the burgers without wearing gloves. The fries were practically cold, and the floor of the restaurant was perfect for ice skating, even without skates. Simply disgusting. Never again.

Dear vegans and vegetarians, dear Mc's team, I ordered a Mc's plant-based patty, which unfortunately did NOT come with a plant-based patty, but with a beef patty! I didn't notice it in time... only after I took one bite!! On the other hand, I can be proud of myself for being able to notice the difference after the first bite! I received a new Big Mac creation today. The product developers at McDonald's always have extraordinary ideas and always bring a smile to your face when you open the package. I prefer the regular Big Mac, though! Still, 5* for having the courage to try something new!

The food was a disaster. A drink wasn't delivered, a burger was missing the second half of the bun and the salad. The food looked like it had been dug out of the trash. Truly bad, and they turned a blind eye to it.

Everything was remodeled, but unfortunately, everything changed afterward. It took a while, the people were rude, and the kitchen seemed unhygienic (at least, what you can see is the burger man scratching his butt and then the burger is brought out). I don't like going here. It's packed with teenagers on weekend evenings...

Easily accessible from the road by car. Ample parking is available. The side orientation makes entering and exiting the parking space easier.

I went to the McDonald's on Eifelstrasse with a few friends – and honestly, it was an absolute disaster. We waited over 45 minutes for our order. And it wasn't a complicated meal, just a few burgers and a coffee. That's completely unacceptable for a fast-food restaurant. The branch wasn't even particularly busy, but the staff seemed completely overwhelmed and disorganized. No overview, no apology, nothing. There was also no information or update as to why it was taking so long. An experience like that is really no fun – and it certainly doesn't leave you hungry for another visit.

Food is actually always good but the gentleman at the drive thru was so hostile to women and even said "yes, let the gentleman speak" when I was in the middle of explaining because he made a mistake with the order I was completely speechless

I was just about to get something from the McDonald's Drive-In, but a parked car was blocking the entrance. You should always make sure the drive-in remains clear. After honking several times, I turned around and headed to another McDonald's. That's just a disgrace.
