McDonald's in Hamburg

It seems like they're currently training a lot of new employees. At least externally, the process is unstructured and slow, and unfortunately, orders are always missing something or you receive the wrong item. Since it's mostly takeout, you only notice the problem once you get home, making a complaint pointless.

It's McDonald's, after all... but the McFlurry was tasty.

Uncoordinated employees who, in order to falsify the statistics, almost immediately cancel every order (the monitor shows it as completed). If you complain via the chatbot in the app, the operator only gives you a template instead of a voucher as compensation. He claims to run 11 restaurants, hopefully not all of them as bad as this branch. Even when it's not busy, there are ALWAYS, WITHOUT EXCEPTION, the wrong burgers in the bag. All in all, things are often forgotten here (I've seen everything from dips to drinks to entire burgers) and you should check everything! Just last week I received a wrap with the contents completely incorrectly. It's hard to bite into it if I'm taking it with me as a takeaway.

Some of the food isn't fresh. Staff are completely overwhelmed. Teenagers act as staff. Restrooms are dirty, stairs are full of vomit.

Absolute disaster. I've never experienced such a bad store. Long wait times, wrong products. A habit to break. Employees have communication problems.

Things have deteriorated considerably since the renovation. You order a hot apple turnover and get a cold one. Nuggets in the kids' menu are hot, but fries are cold. It's completely unacceptable. If I want something cold, I might as well skip the food altogether. If the food isn't fresh, at least it's warm!

I bought the Friends meal at the McDonald's Drive-In and got home and saw that there were no characters in it. Why else would I buy it?

The floor is completely greasy and slippery...to get to the toilet, you have to go up and down a completely slippery staircase...totally dangerous and disgusting.

Very disappointing! We waited over 35 minutes for two Smart Meals – and when the food finally arrived, it was cold. Plus, they simply forgot the Coke. Definitely not recommended for such a long wait and cold food.

By far the slowest and most disorganized McDonald's. Orders (especially pickup orders) are forgotten and mixed up.

This is the first McDonald's I've ever really found awful. The staff is very unfriendly. Our number was on the board and suddenly disappeared. We ordered three McMenu takeouts and waited longer than usual (there was only one number in front of us). We didn't check our order there and just drove home because we were a bit annoyed. Once we got home, we discovered that two out of three orders didn't even include the second side order. I don't recommend visiting this branch at all. Above all, it was pretty dirty...

McDonald's... hunger drives you in.

Service always forgets something; they assume you've received the product. I now eat at Burger King even though I love McDonald's. Absolutely terrible!

Today was our third visit to this McDonald's, and unfortunately, the experience was once again very disappointing. On our first visit to the restaurant, our order wasn't fully served – the drinks were missing, and I had to go back with the receipt to get them. The second time, at the Drive-Thru, we didn't receive our full order either. Only when we got home did we notice that the Happy Meals didn't include any juices or toys. Today, we wanted to give this McDonald's a third try since we were nearby. But when we checked in person, the Happy Meals were once again missing toys. We also had to wait about 10 minutes for a Coke while the employees chatted among themselves and had apparently forgotten about us. There weren't many customers there, so you can't say they were overwhelmed. The staff was unfriendly, and the service overall was very poor. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this location at all.

So, for example, you could write: "Dear McDonald's Team, according to your website, your restaurant was supposed to close at 4 a.m. However, when I arrived at 3:30 a.m., the restaurant was already closed. They take too long in the Mcdrive and are very rude

---€50 parking ticket as a restaurant guest--- We first went to the cinema and then "unfortunately" got chatting while eating at McDonald's... that was a mistake... the parking lot seems to be monitored by the company "Parkdepot"... they happily charge €50 if you park there for longer than 1.5 hours! Thanks to the branch for this great service! (Yes, I know, "we don't even own the parking lot, Parkdepot takes care of it!" Still, lousy service! You rented out the parking lot, so it's your service!)

How can it be that people are allowed to sit outside in the play area with their dogs?

Edit: They're refusing to refund the money. I paid something, didn't receive the product, and they're not refunding the money. Consumer protection has been informed and is taking care of it. Officially open, but practically closed. Apparently, there are two times here: one for customers and one for McDonald's. Of course, I already paid, but I wasn't allowed to eat anything.

The terminal doesn't work with Visa or debit cards. The order appears to be ready, but it's not. A long wait afterward. And the burgers are cold at the end. So, not exactly recommended. Sorry.

We were there one morning. We had to wait a long time for our order (due to technical issues). However, the service staff was great. We received a small selection of groceries as compensation! Great service. Despite the wait, we left this store with a good feeling!

Welcome to what's probably the slowest McDonald's in the world. The burgers are prepared with very little love. The party food is often half-baked, but at least it's nice and cold.

Chicken nuggets were just old, burgers were cold and we had to wait 13 minutes for an order when the store was 1/4 full.......

The store was empty when the five of us entered at 12:30 AM. All five of us just wanted an ice cream. It took over 30 minutes for us to get it, after several requests. Never again from that store. Unfriendly.

I have ordered many times and every time I was missing 3 menus when you called they wouldn't answer the phone, that's what they do when you pay online and the courier comes, unfortunately it's all our fault, insensitive people!!!!

Unfortunately, we're not learning anything because we keep giving it one chance after another, but this is now one of the worst restaurants in all of Hamburg. The ordering system is simply abysmal and has absolutely nothing to do with "fast" food. The employees are completely overwhelmed if it's a little busier than usual, which is why we had to wait a good 30 minutes for our order on our last visit. And this time, too, the order was incomplete—something is ALWAYS missing! We've never received a complete order. But now we've learned from it and won't be visiting this restaurant again.

The shop had been remodeled and seemed quite interesting. It was busy, and the staff were unfortunately completely overwhelmed with the orders. I was very disappointed with the working conditions at this McDonald's. Employees were working without gloves, which raises serious questions about hygiene and respect for customers. In a restaurant of this size, strict rules to protect food and consumers should be a given. Management should pay significantly more attention to this issue!

Another Mecces, another one missing from the order. They told me, and after a short wait, they received it.

I waited 18 minutes for my food. There was zero traffic, the employees were shouting at each other, no thank you, no commands. The place itself was hot, and the air conditioning was either off or missing. Overall, I don't recommend it; it's significantly different from other restaurants in Hamburg.

Hey, I had breakfast here today and the food is, as always, absolutely excellent. Deductions for: 1.) the restrooms for non-wheelchair users, which require going through the back and up a flight of stairs (not suitable for urgent needs). 2.) the locked tables (with laminated notes stuck on them, which are probably older) for no apparent reason. 3.) the kiosk machines, which take a significant amount of time to print receipts (card payment receipts came immediately).

Horrible. Never again. I'd rather drive a long way than ever order from there again. I waited 20 minutes for my takeout order, and then they wrapped the wrong burger. Unfortunately, I didn't notice until I got home. Instead of a double chicken burger, they wrapped a regular hamburger in double chicken burger paper. The employees are passively overwhelmed and run from one corner to the next. So, I wouldn't recommend this branch. Addendum: Extremely dirty floor in the kitchen and throughout the branch.

Not recommended. 25-minute wait, cold food, and even the wrong one. Disorganized checkout, long lines, misleading displays, dirty floors, and visible food residue in the kitchen. Quality significantly worse than before.

When it comes to delivery, you have to trust that the staff will pack everything, but unfortunately, this hasn't been the case for the third time. It's particularly annoying because no one can get there, so the delivery is necessary to resolve the issue on-site.

I've been there quite often. The quality was okay, but I always waited ages for the food. By far the most disorganized McDonald's in all of Hamburg.

Worst McDonald's on the planet.....after 26 minutes still no milkshake.....money back promotion was laughed off... probably still milking the cow...then I just left...and thus sponsored 2.99 for Mr. McDonald's

You wait far too long for your food and the staff is not really friendly

I've been there three times now and am considering whether I'll come back. I ordered the new shaker fries and all three new burgers. I only got fries without the cheeseburger seasoning. Two of them were double sauces even though I ordered two different ones. And I got two of the three burgers. I easily spent €10 for nothing. The employees barely understand German and are shouting angrily throughout the entire store. Please fix this, or I'll miss my next visit.

All previous experiences had been good. Today's visit was all the more disappointing. An excessively long wait, an improperly filled Coke (no ice), a wrap only half-filled and incredibly poorly wrapped, practically cold, burgers and nuggets less than lukewarm, too few napkins, a dirty table—practically a total failure, only the fries were okay. A real shame...

The vanilla milkshake tasted like coffee, which unfortunately I didn't notice until I got home, which is annoying if you don't like coffee. The wait time in the store was catastrophic for small items.

Bottomless! We waited 46 minutes from ordering to receiving our food. The food was cold. The fries were soggy. The sauces were missing. The milkshake had thawed, making it sweet. The paper cups were almost soggy. The toy was already used and dirty. That's disgusting for a stuffed animal. The staff barely spoke German. So, a complaint wasn't possible. All in all: 1 star is too many. Never again. Not recommended. Going the other way is a BK.

We came in at 9:40 PM and ordered as usual. The place was almost empty but then gradually filled up. 40 minutes later, everyone got their food. People ordered after us and got their food earlier. There were only five of us. Service was very unfriendly and extremely slow.

Our orders have been incomplete or incorrectly processed at this branch several times. That's the limit – we will go to another location in the future. Conclusion: Poor service, long wait times, incomplete orders – we'd rather go to Burger King.

I got the wrong food and had to wait 25 minutes. When I spoke to the employee, my food had been ready for a while and wasn't even warm anymore. My number on the display screen disappeared after less than five minutes.

It's 11:35 p.m., and it's supposed to be open until 2 a.m. There are people inside eating and ordering. However, the door is closed, and you can't get in. Employees ignore you when you signal. Never experienced such a bad McDonough. We just wanted to get a McFlurry during our lunch break. After repeatedly asking where our (plain) ice cream was, we were told it had already been served and that there were plenty of people coming back for a "second round" after their meal. Then we were told that our ice cream was probably with the last customers (should I get the half-nibbled ice cream now, or what's the point of that statement?). And as if all that wasn't cheeky enough, we only got half a portion of ice cream. Next time, we'll go to BK!

The worst staff a person could ever encounter. They are lazy, arrogant, rude, and clearly don’t care about providing good service. The opening and closing hours listed on the doors and on Google Maps do not match reality — they close up to two hours earlier than stated. When asked why, they just repeat excuses like “we’re cleaning” or something similar. To sum up: do not go to this place under any circumstances. It is the worst McDonald’s I have ever seen.

Rats are running around under the tables and in the children's playhouse outside. McDonald's knows it but apparently doesn't do anything.

The McDonald's restaurant on Friedrich-Ebert-Damm used to be one of the few good addresses in the franchise chain. Unfortunately, it's now, in my opinion, one of the worst in Hamburg. The staff at the counter are unfriendly, some employees appear unkempt, and the food looks completely unappetizing. I won't be going there again.

Renovated and littered. Table service isn't working.

Some tables and returns are completely full of trash. A Coke or a cheeseburger sometimes takes 20 minutes. My highlight: I order table service and am still called normally? Great service, wow, really, what is that??!

Pure chaos! My orders are never correct! Drinks are too small for the amount stated on the voucher, or onions on my burger when I asked for them without. I even have to beg for sugar afterward. Why can I order that at the terminal if they do everything differently? And then they get angry! I would have liked to give 0 points for service!

Mr. Mazen is by far the best employee I've ever encountered. His friendliness and polite demeanor are exceptional – he always serves with a smile and in a manner you could only wish for. I wish him all the best and continued success from the bottom of my heart. People like him make all the difference!
