McDonald's in Hamburg

Even though there were two cars ahead of me, I waited 20 minutes for two meals. Four employees were chatting in the corner, and I almost wanted to honk. Please be more attentive.

I entered the store and ordered at the terminal. As I walked toward the counter, two mice were lying behind it. I don't recommend eating here and would avoid the store.

Today I ordered my meal from the self-service machine and then paid at 1:10 p.m. I was given a number, sat down at the table, and waited for 30 minutes – nothing came. Then I asked how long I had to wait because people who had arrived after me had already eaten and left. Finally, I got my order from the receipt, but even the sandwich was wrong. The mood was at rock bottom.

The burgers weren't well-filled; everything was scattered throughout the burger package. It was unloving. You couldn't eat it properly. Very disappointed.

You can eat. But the toilets are very dirty.

The McDonald's at 7:11 was closed, even though it was supposed to be open according to the official hours. After knocking, an employee told us they weren't open until 8:00 a.m. This was very unprofessional and very disappointing—we were truly upset.

As they always say the team is colorful I only see white black or red hair

Incredibly bad Cheeseburgers and Fries. After ordering today the bread was stale meaning they were made many hours before they were ordered... and the fries were old too.. must be. They were soggy and not at all close to what they are supposed too be.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this McDonald's. When ordering (at the McDrive), you have to say everything three times, then they keep yammering at you about what else is available, and then the order you hand is incomplete. Either the staff is completely overwhelmed or they only understand what they're supposed to. I'm not going back to this McDrive. My grandchildren are totally disappointed, and when I call to describe the misery, I'm told I could have checked my order right away. Of course, as a single adult with two hungry children on board and honking followers, I'll never go back to this McDonald's Drive-Thru. 🥺

The food actually tastes like in any McDonald's, this restaurant differs significantly from other Mcs in terms of cleanliness, the men's restroom smells worse than the cat litter box which hasn't been cleaned for a week, it's almost disgusting

The place is very dirty. All the tables are dirty, and there's no paper in the restroom. The hand cleaner doesn't work either. The staff are unfriendly.

Everyone says they understand, and you always hear "Ja, ja, ja"... But none of these people speak any German and understand nothing! Hygiene is terrible! Bypass the place and go eat somewhere else. None of the service staff earns their money. Many go home more rested than when they arrived at work... Yes, yes, yes, we do and we do, but no one understands what you want from them! 1 star in good weather.

The food there is delicious, the place is always tidy when I'm there, and the staff is very friendly, especially the manager. My order was taken perfectly, and the food was ready very quickly. I will definitely be back!

I come here regularly to have something to eat and a coffee, everything is always tip top in order

How to satisfy your hunger at McDonald's every now and then

Extremely unfriendly man at the counter who doesn't want to help, speaks rudely, and doesn't even know (or wants to know) their own product range. At least the table service was friendly. Never again...

Fast food, neutral staff (not good, but not bad either) depending on the shift, online orders apparently not possible for days/weeks. The ambiance is sometimes very dirty due to customers, the cleaning staff can't seem to keep up with the workload, the restrooms are equally dirty and some are broken due to blockages. Waiting times appear to be consistently exceeded outside of peak hours. Including stomach and intestinal problems.

It is a great McDonald’s. Great food, great service and great Atmosphere.

I had the M voucher with nuggets, with a choice of fries or curly fries. I wasn't asked about the fries; they were apparently sold out. I rate the M as unappealing. At first, I thought it was a Big Mac until I noticed the difference: the burger had a nasty, sour, sticky, downright overpowering sauce, the sheer amount of which made the meat slide off the buns. Sorry, McD, the M isn't great, but it probably stands for the whole thing. The fries were okay, though. So was the mayo. The nuggets were okay. The sweet chili was quite tasty, with a strong Tabasco flavor. The Coke came without a straw, and the cup holder that was provided later was difficult to attach. A sore point. It's actually unbelievable how much you lose these days when visiting these restaurants.

The most disgusting McDonald's I've ever seen. So filthy. The pungent urine smell in the restrooms makes your eyes water. No paper to dry your hands with. The staff is unmotivated and unfriendly! This is such a horrible experience that I'm going to report it to the health department!

I've eaten at many McDonald's restaurants in Germany and abroad – unfortunately, this is one of the two worst experiences I've had so far. On June 27, 2025, at 11:45 a.m., I ordered at the terminal and politely asked for table numbers. The response came in an unfriendly tone – it was made clear to me that I was alone and couldn't manage everything. The employee then immediately went back to talking to colleagues. The cleanliness in the restaurant – as can be seen in the photos – left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, I couldn't document all areas because there were other guests present. Particularly disappointing: My politely expressed complaint about lukewarm fries was ignored. Instead, they simply turned around and carried on working. As a guest, you didn't feel welcome here – quite the opposite. The impression that you were a nuisance unfortunately prevailed. "The customer is king" doesn't seem to be the standard here.

Very unfriendly, the fries were cold, and despite how clean the kitchen was, the dining room was dirty. Tables and benches were so sticky that you could barely stand up. So they won't be seeing us again.

Worst toilet in the country!! Everything's full of piss

I don't even know what to say about this... OK, it's a McDonald's... but please, what's offered here is something to get used to. Very rarely do crispy fries. Burgers just seem slapped together. The staff mostly just do their job. I've only experienced worse at rest stops. The place is always busy - probably thanks to its location.

Well, a big M. Even though it wasn't busy, we waited a long time for the food. Royal T's was more cold than cool after a short while, considering everything is supposed to be freshly prepared.

Why is the delivery service closed? There is no delivery service. This branch is bad.

In itself ok but there is often something wrong, especially when you order and then you get 4 hamburgers instead of 2 Bigmacs

I'll be honest, the staff just doesn't feel like working; you can tell as soon as you open the door. I'm pretty shocked at how often the ice cream machine breaks down, or whether people really just don't feel like maintaining it!? The staff is monotonous and lacks a friendly touch! I wouldn't even give this juice bar a star if that were possible!

The food tastes good and is warm, but sometimes you wait 12 centuries for the food to be ready, even when the food is empty. I've probably been reincarnated seven times since my first order there... One of the ordering terminals has never worked since I can remember. The bathrooms are more like a North Korean cemetery toilet. Otherwise, normal...

Very dirty food too cold takes too long staff can't cope

Long wait until the food was ready despite very low occupancy and one of the few locations without a fast charging station.

Unfortunately, as always, we had to wait a long time for our food. The burgers were unfortunately cold.

Lipton iced tea tasted like warm water and the order and my cola glass were forgotten and I was given cola even though I ordered iced tea

Half of the food was missing, the other half was cold or undercooked. The worst thing about the whole Hamburg vacation was this “restaurant”. No recommendation!

Eat typical McDonald’s. But the cleanliness is a disaster. The “packer’s” rubber glove is of no use if it is used to collect money and rubbish. All tables full of rubbish, floor sticky. Of course, this also depends on the audience. In Wilhelmsburg you get what you expect.

I've never experienced anything so bad. For one thing, the toilets were so dirty that you had to walk out backwards. And then our order was missing 2 burgers and the toy from the Happy Meal. Likewise, the restaurant itself didn't look exactly clean.

Unfriendly staff You get hit on here because you use the table service option in the app and the order is declared as ready for pickup even though it isn't and you have to wait at the front.

It should be clear to everyone that you can't expect anything from McDonald's.. it's really not a demanding job but these employees in this restaurant can't do the simplest job.. cold fries, cold burgers, they stand there and discuss rum, no table service, you stand there and the employees just cause chaos

Drive: Order acceptance takes forever, employees prefer to chat. Completely forgot the wipes, forgot the McRib cloth, the McFlurry Cookie could be ordered but wasn't available.

Food as usual, fast service, nice staff and the restaurant itself is clean, only the toilets are not worth visiting at all, only one toilet could be locked, it was very dirty so you didn't want to use it, only one toilet was somewhat okay, but only usable if you couldn't do anything else.

Mhhh, that's a rather poor McDonald's. My experience: Lots of mistakes when ordering. Happy Meal? Not a toy. My menu? The burgers were simply missing. My wife's meal? No sauces. While we were there, we observed several times how things were forgotten in the order or change was not paid back correctly. Based on these observations, I recommend avoiding the McDrive. Toilets were also dirty. Food is McDonald's as usual.

He always gets cold fries! My cheeseburgers were cold too! Also, the employees are not helpful. Instead of greeting the customer, they stand on the phone and talk to each other without paying attention to the customer. I have the next one here, but it's better to go somewhere further! I'm not asking for much, but I want the food to be hot on site! No greetings!

General condition of the restaurant is very dingy, garbage carts are not emptied, tables are not wiped down, food is lukewarm to cold.

I've rarely seen such rancid toilets... You can even smell the stench in the squares!!

So when I came in here everything was so colorful but what shocked me was the cleanliness, really terrible. A lot of things are on the floor. A not so good sight. But I can only say my burger was very tasty and very fresh.

Ordered a chicken burger. What was packed had nothing in common with a chicken burger (cold, sticky, the bun tasted like everything, but not like buns!)! Have you actually ever eaten the crap yourself that you sell to your guests????

It's Saturday evening, no stands for table service at the terminals, so there are queues of people waiting...Staff lame and totally disorganized...The MC Crispy Spicy isn't the least bit spicy and I've been waiting for half an hour for that...Nope Thank you, I'll never end up here again 🤷🤷🤷

Unfortunately you have to give one star, it was very dirty and full of rubbish, and the toilets were unfortunately the same. The employees were very unstructured. It can happen that food is cold, but getting a cheeseburger where half of it is missing without having canceled something should not happen (content: bread, meat and cheese) not recommended.

Food was cold and not good took an hour

Such a rude staff and they’re not motivated to work. The french fries was really bad without any salt and the burgers are always cold. Next to the this Mc Donalds are 3 schools and this is not the correct way how they treat the stundents when they have break. Such a shame!!!

Well, the gentlemen were a bit awkward until Lady Power came and clarified our order after 15 minutes.

Employees always forget the refreshing towel at the Mc Rib. People still forget about the refreshing towel...I'm starting to think they're doing it on purpose. Apparently you can now also smoke in the restaurant here. When I was there today and a customer two tables away was happily puffing on his e-cigarette, I informed the bar attendant about it. She then only asked me twice if that was really true. No further action was taken and the smoking customer was not kicked out of the restaurant.
