Burger King in Hamburg

We went to Burger King with the family today and had a truly disappointing experience. We ordered two kids' meals and two coupon meals. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was completely inadequate: Our wait time was at least 10-15 minutes, even though it was practically empty. The restrooms cost €1, even for customers. In my opinion, this is completely unreasonable – anyone eating in a restaurant shouldn't have to pay extra to use the restroom. There was nothing positive about today. The price was absolutely unjustified for what we received. Therefore, I reluctantly give only 1 star. Not out of spite, but because the experience was simply poor and far below the standard one should expect.

I was almost threatened with violence when I complained that my mayonnaise was missing from my order. I understand that the clientele isn't easy, but a little understanding would still be appreciated, especially since I, unlike the rest of the staff, could barely stand upright. All I received was a ripped-open bag.

It's a shame when you order a Big King and end up with a hamburger... coincidence or calculated move.

That's the Reeperbahn in Hamburg for you. We got to watch live as a homeless man was thrown out. He got cheeky and apparently started yelling.

Unfortunately, the staff seemed very stressed. Otherwise, the food is good (finally!). I was there again today (after two years). This time the staff was very friendly. However... There was nothing with chicken. Consequently, the selection was quite limited. The terminals weren't working either, so there was no overview of the menu. Make the toilet free or at least clean it properly.

We ate there today, and the service at the front was fine. However, if you want to use the restroom, you're asked to pay €1 per person beforehand. That's outrageous! Because then the restrooms turned out to be small and dirty. They smelled awful, and the atmosphere was simply unpleasant. Both women in front of the restroom were also very unfriendly and blocked our way before we could go in. They both seemed bored and rolled their eyes when we came out. We paid only to be treated so disrespectfully.

I've almost gotten used to it, BUT... There's one thing I don't understand: A woman sitting at the restroom entrance, talking on her phone, not wearing a restaurant uniform, rudely tells me I have to pay to use the restroom, even though I've already ordered and just want to wash my hands. If I had simply wanted to use the restroom and had walked in from the street without ordering anything, I wouldn't have had any questions. The food is delicious, the service is fast, everything is great, except for this restroom incident.

The burgers were outdated... when I complained, they just reheated them... something really needs to be done about that!! Absolutely outrageous!!! Never again

The ambiance at the entrance is neutrally pleasant. The order took forever. The burger wasn't very hot, the bacon tasted/seemed reheated and was very soft, and looked it too. Overall, not very appetizing and certainly not worth over ten euros. The salad... well, basic, with a very limited list of ingredients. The fries were also cold. The trip to the restroom was the highlight of the evening. You're always right in the middle of things. My wife found the women's restrooms too cramped and also extremely unhygienic. A complaint at the front desk was ignored. Update: The burger started to make itself known after a few hours.

Burger King is emulating McDonald's; they're really trying to be as bad as they come. I keep wondering how many people over 3 meters tall go in there to read the menu without having to stand on tiptoes. Regards, Axel

I went out partying weeks ago without drinking alcohol! And after the evening, I got two burgers. When I got home and lay down, it started. Stomach pain, nausea, vomiting. I felt miserable for two days... but didn't think it could have been the burger. Yesterday, I went there again and thought it certainly wasn't the burger... And suddenly, the same thing happened... I'm back in bed with a stomach ache and constant nausea... I will never eat there again... something must be wrong. Because my colleague feels the same way... Strange coincidence, right? Something must be wrong hygiene-wise...

Everything is good, clean, convenient and tasty, a good Burger King, only there is no ice cream in the desserts, which is what it should be

The food is of very poor quality, as there are so many customers and the staff have to prepare the sandwiches quickly. Truly substandard. All the customers are drunk, and there's no security to prevent fights, shouting, etc. Truly a disaster.

It takes forever for the food to be ready, even though there's nothing going on... Edit: the chili nuggets were still cold inside, and the onion rings were almost inedible.

The sauce on the vegan nugget burger was really good, and the bread was okay. The nuggets had been in the burger for too long, so they were almost hard. They had a meaty aftertaste; I'm afraid they were in the same fryer as the meat.

What can I say? The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. If you want a reusable cup, you have to pay for it, but you don't get it, and you get a stupid look when you ask for your money back. The employees also have no real motivation to work. If something is missing, they say it will be brought right away. Then the next customer is told to take the burger, etc., to the customer in question. And the restroom is just the tip of the iceberg: 1 euro for access to a restroom that stinks of urine is an absolute disgrace. The cleaning lady sitting up front doesn't care at all when you ask her about it. That was the first and last time I will visit this "restaurant."

After many years, we thought, let's go to Burger King for takeaway... It was an absolute disaster. We spent over €30 and got no fries, no onion rings, a Big King XXL that was completely dried out and so hard you could knock the bun on the table. The chicken nuggets were also cold and dried out. The cashier even looked in the bag and nodded, so we thought, "That's bound to be right."... Disgusting... I can't recommend it to anyone. I'd rather go to other burger joints down the street. 100 times better...

Tell me, are you having too much fun? I order the Big Whopper XXL with pepperoni and bacon + chili fries with extra cheese. I got a Whopper that was well past its prime – neither XXL nor with the extras, and the fries were without cheese and pepperoni. Before COVID, it was less than 8 euros; now I'm paying almost 23 euros. When I spoke to the employees, the only thanks I got was that I had to leave the store. Yeah, I don't know – Burger King, that's how you got rid of me as a customer. Absolutely no-go...

I was back with you today after a long absence, and unfortunately, as in the past, one person caught my attention: a man in a black T-shirt who seemed to have some kind of managerial role. He was once again very unfriendly, both in his tone and demeanor. It was so noticeable that even his own employees tried to defuse the situation and appease the customers. Unfortunately, that speaks volumes. I don't know if that's your idea of leadership, but I wanted to at least report it back to you, because such behavior severely impacts the entire experience and the atmosphere in the store.

I was very surprised. An exceptionally clean and well-organized branch. I've never seen such a tidy and clean BK branch. Everything was perfectly organized, food and drinks were served quickly, there was plenty of seating, and very friendly employees!

The food was dry and didn't really taste good and the hot brownie wasn't liquid on the inside. The staff were very rude and some of them couldn't speak German and were too incompetent to give me my brownie. I had to walk through the whole branch before they could give it to me. The men's and women's toilets were also incredibly dirty.

Terrible staff, very rude.. Fries are old, staying there for whole day.. Also, there are not all ingredients from burgers on the monitor and if you want to order a burger without sauce you have to go and tell them that you don’t want a sauce, even if you don’t know what sauces the burger contains… Never coming back again here, this is the first and LAST time !

Absolute garbage. I'm a Burger King fan. We were there during the Schlagermove festival and were told that, as an exception, vouchers aren't available today (once a year). I'll probably switch to the competition now. This kind of thing destroys trust in the brand.

The food was typical Burger King, except that a lot of the burgers that were on offer were missing. 20 minutes waiting time for two burgers is much too long; I don't even want to know how long you wait when the place is full in the evening. What also surprised me was that something was beeping in the kitchen the whole time, which was very annoying. The toilet is a disgrace, and the toilet attendant had the nerve to ask for €1, which of course I didn't pay. Sorry, but that's not how it works.

Terrible Experience – Poor Food & Service at Burger King Reeperbahn We visited this Burger King (Reeperbahn 75, Hamburg) after a business night out with colleagues from the UK. Having just come from one of the local bars, we were hungry and thought a trusted international chain like Burger King would be a safe choice. Unfortunately, it was a major let-down. The food was far below standard. The burger I received was dry, flavourless, and didn’t resemble a proper Whopper at all. It lacked the usual flame-grilled taste — in fact, it tasted like it had been sitting out too long. It was nothing like what we get in Burger King restaurants back home in the UK. To add to the disappointment, the service was poor. I asked specifically for two meals with drinks, but the staff member — who struggled to understand English (which I can accept to an extent) — did not get the order right. We didn’t receive any drinks, yet we were charged €37.62. That’s a high price for such poor quality and incomplete service. I’ve attached a photo of the receipt (12.06.2025 at 01:46 AM) so the management knows exactly which transaction I’m referring to. Overall, this was a bad experience at what should have been a reliable fast-food spot. Would not return.

Located right next to the Davidwache, this Burger King is ideal for a quick late-night snack. There's plenty of seating, and the food tastes as good as usual. Unfortunately, they charge €1 to use the restroom, even if you've eaten there. That's really cheeky!

I was sitting near the toilet and witnessed something truly disgusting: The toilet attendant was putting new paper towels on the trays with her toilet gloves! I briefly thought she was wearing them to work hygienically with the new trays, but shortly after, a man came out of the kitchen with a plunger in his hand. He saw her doing this work (it seems her job there is to clear trays and place new ones on top of cleaning the toilet). She went into the toilet with the plunger, worked loudly for a few minutes, then came back wearing the same gloves and prepared the trays for new orders. Simply disgusting. And apparently normal there. Unbelievable.

A scam shop! I ordered a Whopper, a double cheeseburger, and a six-pack of chicken nuggets to go. I received one Whopper and six-pack of plant-based nuggets! I didn't check the bag until I got home. I called the store, and they couldn't give a damn and claimed everything was OK. A disgraceful rip-off!

We know the pictures are fake, but what about this? ❓️🙈 Highlight: Even before entering the restroom, you're asked to pay a mandatory fee. Normally, as a customer, I can use it for free, especially if someone is eating there.

Worst Burger King in Germany... Unbelievable how disgusting this burger was; I almost threw up. Also, the lady at the drive-thru was very rude. Unfortunately, I didn't see what was waiting for me until later, otherwise I would have turned right back. The burger tasted rancid, which indicates an expiration date. For this reason, I'll never eat fast food again. It makes me sick.

The staff seems really well organized, we got our food very quickly. Really good by Burger King standards. The only negative point is that, despite ordering, there is a charge for using the toilet. For the first and last time in this branch. Our order (two burgers, fries, onion rings and sauce) came without sauce. When asked, they said it was not available - a note when handing it over would have been appropriate. The alternative sauce was served in dirty packaging. My Double Whopper had old, over-fried patties - inedible. Only the side dishes were good. My wife thought her burger was OK. Overall disappointing visit, not recommended.

Small BK branch on the Reeperbahn. Unfortunately, the burger and dessert offerings are a bit slimmed down here. Apparently there aren't any offers for which an ice cream machine is needed. The cookies and brownies were also not available during our visit. Too bad! Overall it was clean here. We've seen worse. The staff was nice and friendly.

The toilet costs €1, and without paying, you can't even get in as a guest to wash your hands. Big King is only half the size it used to be. The staff isn't particularly qualified, I don't like the food anymore, and it really annoyed us.

I ate there today and probably the last time. The orders are put together slowly; people prefer to talk to their colleagues in the back instead of processing the customers' orders. My chicken nuggets were only lukewarm and way too hard, only the fries were hot and tasty. There are also fries and napkins on the floor but you don't have time because you'd rather talk to your colleagues in the back. The toilet is clean and you should give the woman a small tip. Still, I won't come again.

Our standards were high, we would have written off such goods as “waste” but never served them to a customer. It's just sad and disgusting what is presented here as Home of the Wopper. Absolutely not recommended. There is only one BK in Hamburg that serves hot and fresh and it is on Kieler Straße. The neighborhood is just a tourist trap.

Relaxed location pretty central. Front area really clean and a few places to sit. A few terminals to order or directly at the counter. There are significantly more seating options further back. Minus point: the toilets are still managed by BK but by external service providers. 1€ per toilet use. Unusual, because in every other BK I've been to, it's free to use. Otherwise a typical Burger King.

Fries and burgers cold, cola warm and non-carbonated. When asked, the waitress (short, short, curly hair, nose ring) reacted in a disproportionately unfriendly and annoyed manner. Quote: “Cola Diet and Zero are always non-carbonated.” Oh, right.

Outrageous toilet rip-off despite paid for food! The food was as usual at Burger King - nothing special, but exactly what you'd expect. The ambience was also fine. But what is absolutely unacceptable is the toilet rip-off in this store! Even as a paying guest you are forced to pay 1 euro for the toilet. Children are also insulted in an unfriendly manner if they do not pay immediately. This is simply outrageous and anti-customer! You feel compelled to pay for something that should of course be free in a restaurant - especially if you spend money on food and drinks there. Perhaps the tax office should take a look at whether this income is even recorded correctly. Because this impression is absolutely obvious here! This was the last visit to this store for me. Anyone who treats paying guests like this doesn't deserve another visit.

A good branch with a drink refill option. They got my order mixed up and served me with a cheeseburger instead of a double, they quickly made a new one and let me keep the cheeseburger as well.
