Nicely renovated, now they're serving Big Rösti again...delicious. What I unfortunately noticed was that none of the employees were smiling, no enthusiasm or enjoyment of their work. A shame, because usually when you smile at someone or speak to them, you get a positive response. Too bad, otherwise everything was fine.

When I took the opportunity to use the restroom, I saw upon entering the men's room that someone had defecated on the toilet seat. The entire premises smelled accordingly. I immediately left the restroom. When I then overheard the cashier arguing loudly with the kitchen staff, and it became clear that my order would take forever, I cut my visit short and left. I've never experienced anything like it. Awful.

The worst McDonald's I've ever been to. The fries were cold and raw. I ordered 20 nuggets but only received 12. The Coke was completely flat. The cheesecake had three Oreos and no chocolate sauce, which is what I ordered. If you don't feel like working, just say so before you serve the customer.

Yesterday I ordered a meal at McDonald's and unfortunately received my drink without a lid. When I asked about it, I was told that lids are now only given out for takeout orders. I understand the idea of reducing waste, but I think it would be more customer-friendly if lids were also available upon request in the restaurant – for example, for hygiene reasons or to prevent spills. The visit was otherwise fine this time, but this policy seems a bit inflexible and unfortunately marred my experience.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Big show, small coffee! I wanted to get a cappuccino at McDonald's on Mainzer Landstraße because there's a huge portafilter machine up front. I thought, "Cool, finally we have real barista coffee here." Well, I thought wrong. The coffee wasn't coming from the fancy machine, but secretly from the kitchen – freshly poured from a fully automatic machine. Honestly, what's the point of all the decoration? If you display a professional machine up front and serve vending machine coffee in the back, you're not selling quality, you're selling an illusion. One star for the show. Zero stars for the coffee. ☕️🎭

The restaurant is not shown in the app, which makes absolutely no sense since it is open as usual after the renovation. The last time I ordered a Big Mac via table service, which was brought outside because I wanted to sit there, the employee brought it to me without saying anything and just shook his head a few times as if I had done something wrong. I even said thank you when he brought it to me but he didn't reply. That's not acceptable, especially when you offer table service. The employees were definitely nicer before the renovation.

And even though I had said I wanted it to be consumed here and the coffee from the espresso machine, she brought it to me from the fully automatic machine in a paper cup. Finally, the manager made me the cappuccino. I mean, what's the point of having that expensive portafilter machine if they never use it? Often mistaken for meat, even vegetarian. On top of that, the drive-thru wait times are a disaster. There's little to do with fast food. A new low here, nothing ever happens, best to AVOID the McDonald's Drive-Thru! Update 8/18/2025: Unfortunately, this McDonald's on Mainzer Landstraße is constantly experiencing problems. Either you wait forever because they can't understand you at the counter, or it's open according to Google and the McDonald's app, but closed on site. Particularly annoying: If you pre-order your food and try to pick it up on foot, you're refused. So, without a car, you won't get your ordered food. This means you have to go back, get a car, and drive up again. This is extremely inconvenient and frustrating for customers. The on-site staff can't do much about it, but the organization and management are disastrous. This urgently needs to be improved. Update: September 1, 2026: App orders are no longer possible, and the mc is no longer displayed in the app. 🤬 Update September 17: As always, no fast food, just endless drive-thru waits. Turning off the engine is highly recommended, and here it easily takes 15 minutes.

We knew this McDonald's wasn't the best location, but we decided to stop there and order something to eat and drink, including a McFlurry for the kids. We ended up with two orders because my wife and son had to go to the bathroom. Both orders were incomplete: one was missing the sauce, the other the strawberry flavor (the McFlurry was white, not pink). We asked the employee to correct this misunderstanding, but the clerk started arguing and pointed at the vending machine instead. Finally, five minutes later, we got a relatively correct McFlurry and the sauce that was missing from the first order. The employee at the order counter did some strange manipulation with the display board, marking orders that were just being placed as ready, which confused people. The display board showed the order as ready for pickup, but in reality, the order wasn't ready. Additionally, there were no napkins included with either order (we ordered takeout). Update from September 8, 2025: After the renovation, everything looks new, but the staff's attitude toward customers has remained the same. I ordered table service, where the food is brought to the table. Instead, the lady at the counter loudly called my number for a long time so I could pick it up myself. If you can't really offer this service, please remove it from your program.

Absolutely unacceptable! What I experienced today at McDonald's was almost beyond compare in terms of rudeness and disrespect. I ordered plant-based nuggets, but I clearly received meat nuggets instead. When I complained, a new pack was practically thrown onto my tray without a word. Not a word of apology, just a rude tone. The second portion came in packaging with no indication as to whether the nuggets were actually plant-based. Upon my legitimate inquiry, I was again rudely dismissed with the rude statement: "These are the plant-based nuggets." Without proof, without explanation. As a vegetarian, I expect at least a modicum of clarity and respect, both of which were completely denied to me. I ultimately didn't eat the nuggets because I couldn't be sure what I was actually being served. By the way, I was supposed to keep the first, fake meat nuggets – seriously? That's not only thoughtless, but downright disrespectful. I will definitely never eat here again. This is not how you treat customers, and especially not people who consciously follow a meat-free diet.

The guys in front of us had gotten a scooter just so they could order. At the other window, a wonderful employee then told us we could order online for the parking lot. Closed again for renovations. We were then told to just line up in the drive-up (without a car). When it was our turn, we were told that you can only order by car, scooter, or bicycle. It makes sense that these are normally the rules, but if you can't eat in, they should probably make an exception in situations like this. They should at least not have told us about the drive-up if you can't order that way anyway. Furthermore, they should close the parking lot when eating in isn't possible. Several people were confused and tried the same method as us and were turned away.

The way they treat customers here is absolutely disgusting! Due to a language barrier, ordering at the drive-thru didn't go smoothly. None of the employees spoke English, and we spoke broken German. The employee was incredibly rude to us and even took the wrong order. We reported this at the second window, and only received the response that we'd ordered the wrong thing. We'd ordered an iced frappe, but instead received a cappuccino. After a lot of discussion and an extra charge (they initially demanded €5 from us for an iced frappe), we finally received our order. When we started eating, we noticed a sour-smelling, sticky substance on the outside of the iced frappe. It tasted no different than usual, as it had a lot of caramel in it, but the smell gave away that something was amiss. The drink itself turned out to have all sorts of things in it that weren't right. It's just disgusting that they dare to do this to someone else's food. This place should be shut down.

There are far fewer parking spaces, even though there was already a shortage before the construction work. As a pedestrian, it's become even more difficult than it already was. Today's visit was a disaster. There were already problems at the drive-thru: Since the renovations, it's almost impossible to understand the employees. After five minutes of misunderstanding, we were told to go to the window – where we waited another ten minutes because the employee couldn't read our two coupons. Communication was almost impossible; she typed around aimlessly and then explained that the line behind us was too long and we couldn't order. One coupon was accepted, the other wasn't – apparently, canceling it wasn't possible either. The next employee was rude and said the food had been waiting for 30 minutes. I asked for a supervisor, but to no avail. Since we were stuck, my pregnant wife had to run into the restaurant and reorder at the terminal. The food was cold, and the drinks overflowed because the lids weren't on properly. Overall, the staff was unfriendly and their German was very poor. Unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment – we won't be back anytime soon.

Renovated, why? By far the worst McKinney around! The new look doesn't help at all! Let's start at the beginning: the entrance to the McKinney Drive-In is much worse than it was before the renovation! Moving the intercom to the street is a real headache. The only word that comes to mind is: stupid! Even the lady at the cash register couldn't understand anything and confirmed to me that it was just stupid! Maybe it's like the Titanic and Noah's Ark; one was built by professionals and sank. The chicken wings were okay, but unfortunately, there wasn't anything else worth mentioning. Despite clearly stating that I didn't want any sauce, they ended up with two mayo packets. The fries are so soggy that you can't tell if they're from today or last week. They're lukewarm at best, and I can hardly tell from the taste whether they had any salt in them. It can happen that it was a Diet Coke instead of the Fanta that the receipt stated. But if it hadn't, if the lid had at least been closed properly, I wouldn't have had the soup in my car, and so my overall impression is best rated as a grade of 5-! The price/performance ratio may be good at other stores, but at this McDonald's, nothing is right! Every euro spent by customers here is one too many!

As a pedestrian and cyclist, yes, but as a driver, it's more difficult. The renovation has removed many, many parking spaces, and the new electric charging stations mean even fewer parking spaces than before. The interior feels modern, but the lack of walls makes it feel more like a large hall.

I was just in front of MCS and looked at what it looked like. I was on the sidewalk in front of the fence and the security guard shone the light in my face and asked what I wanted. I replied that I just wanted to look and he said very cheekily, look somewhere else and continued to shine the light in my face.

It's okay, not very busy. I wish there were more employees who could speak and understand German fluently. I asked them something and they answered something I already knew. I ordered a McFlurry, but they used a machine labeled "McSundae." One of the employees forgot my order and gave me completely the wrong drinks. But that doesn't bother me too much; I just wanted the glasses.

This has nothing to do with fast food anymore. It's overcrowded, the ordering screens don't all work, coupons aren't accepted, the food takes forever (low-food), and half of it gets forgotten! No napkins, and no clean tables.

I just drove by and was surprised to discover that the branch is, I suspect, being demolished! So either they're completely rebuilding it or the store has closed. In any case, nothing is open there right now!! Update: Under renovation! Reopening mid-June!

What a dump! We ordered food, half of it was missing, and the guy told us to come back and get what was missing, but then he only gave us half. Never again!!! Next time I call the police and demand my money back!!

A fast-food temple that tramples on the very word "fast food." Sorry, but back in the day you didn't wait five minutes; now even ordering à la carte seems faster. But yeah, it's edible. Still better than McDonald's across the street. Oh, and "cheap" was a thing of the past. 28 euros for chicken nuggets, juice, a Big King XXL meal, and a cheeseburger. Absolutely lousy. That used to be almost 60 marks. Back then, you'd have grabbed pitchforks and torches and chased the owners out of the country for that price. 😂
