McDonald's in Frankfurt am Main

This McDonald's is really bad. I ordered from Wolt for €15, but I didn't get my cheesecake. I didn't get my Fanta with my meal, so I called them, and they were very rude. They told me to never call them again, and so on. I don't think that's okay at all.

Often mistaken for meat, even vegetarian. On top of that, the drive-thru wait times are a disaster. There's little to do with fast food. A new low here, nothing ever happens, best to AVOID the McDonald's Drive-Thru! Update 8/18/2025: Unfortunately, this McDonald's on Mainzer Landstraße is constantly experiencing problems. Either you wait forever because they can't understand you at the counter, or it's open according to Google and the McDonald's app, but closed on site. Particularly annoying: If you pre-order your food and try to pick it up on foot, you're refused. So, without a car, you won't get your ordered food. This means you have to go back, get a car, and drive up again. This is extremely inconvenient and frustrating for customers. The on-site staff can't do much about it, but the organization and management are disastrous. This urgently needs to be improved. Update: September 1, 2026: App orders are no longer possible, and the mc is no longer displayed in the app. 🤬 Update September 17: As always, no fast food, just endless drive-thru waits. Lots of unfriendly teenagers playing and being loud. The renovations are disastrous; everything is dark. The people at the cash register don't understand German.

We knew this McDonald's wasn't the best location, but we decided to stop there and order something to eat and drink, including a McFlurry for the kids. We ended up with two orders because my wife and son had to go to the bathroom. Both orders were incomplete: one was missing the sauce, the other the strawberry flavor (the McFlurry was white, not pink). We asked the employee to correct this misunderstanding, but the clerk started arguing and pointed at the vending machine instead. Finally, five minutes later, we got a relatively correct McFlurry and the sauce that was missing from the first order. The employee at the order counter did some strange manipulation with the display board, marking orders that were just being placed as ready, which confused people. The display board showed the order as ready for pickup, but in reality, the order wasn't ready. Additionally, there were no napkins included with either order (we ordered takeout). Update from September 8, 2025: After the renovation, everything looks new, but the staff's attitude toward customers has remained the same. I ordered table service, where the food is brought to the table. Instead, the lady at the counter loudly called my number for a long time so I could pick it up myself. If you can't really offer this service, please remove it from your program.

This shop is the absolute worst. This is the third time I've ordered something and they forgot something, so I'll never order again because it's an unnecessary waste of money!!!!!

Absolutely unacceptable! What I experienced today at McDonald's was almost beyond compare in terms of rudeness and disrespect. I ordered plant-based nuggets, but I clearly received meat nuggets instead. When I complained, a new pack was practically thrown onto my tray without a word. Not a word of apology, just a rude tone. The second portion came in packaging with no indication as to whether the nuggets were actually plant-based. Upon my legitimate inquiry, I was again rudely dismissed with the rude statement: "These are the plant-based nuggets." Without proof, without explanation. As a vegetarian, I expect at least a modicum of clarity and respect, both of which were completely denied to me. I ultimately didn't eat the nuggets because I couldn't be sure what I was actually being served. By the way, I was supposed to keep the first, fake meat nuggets – seriously? That's not only thoughtless, but downright disrespectful. I will definitely never eat here again. This is not how you treat customers, and especially not people who consciously follow a meat-free diet.

We went to the aforementioned McDonald's on a Saturday evening, starving, but the store was closed, only the drive-thru was open. So we stood in line in the cold until the employee at the window tried to tell us he was only allowed to hand out food to people riding cars or e-scooters. The guys in front of us had gotten a scooter just so they could order. At the other window, a wonderful employee then told us we could order online for the parking lot. Still, the service from the first window was terrible. What's the point?

Closed again for renovations. We were then told to just line up in the drive-up (without a car). When it was our turn, we were told that you can only order by car, scooter, or bicycle. It makes sense that these are normally the rules, but if you can't eat in, they should probably make an exception in situations like this. They should at least not have told us about the drive-up if you can't order that way anyway. Furthermore, they should close the parking lot when eating in isn't possible. Several people were confused and tried the same method as us and were turned away.

I was very disappointed with the quality of the food today. The fries were very bland, as if they were very old or something was wrong with the oil, the burger sauce smelled bad, almost rotten, and the drink was full of Coke and sticky to the outside of the cup. Never had anything like that before. What a shame. Despite being hungry, I couldn't even get half down.

The worst service there is. Every time something's missing from the order, if you call, you're told to come get it yourself. Why on earth would I order for delivery? And we didn't get a refund for what wasn't delivered.

The way they treat customers here is absolutely disgusting! Due to a language barrier, ordering at the drive-thru didn't go smoothly. None of the employees spoke English, and we spoke broken German. The employee was incredibly rude to us and even took the wrong order. We reported this at the second window, and only received the response that we'd ordered the wrong thing. We'd ordered an iced frappe, but instead received a cappuccino. After a lot of discussion and an extra charge (they initially demanded €5 from us for an iced frappe), we finally received our order. When we started eating, we noticed a sour-smelling, sticky substance on the outside of the iced frappe. It tasted no different than usual, as it had a lot of caramel in it, but the smell gave away that something was amiss. The drink itself turned out to have all sorts of things in it that weren't right. It's just disgusting that they dare to do this to someone else's food. This place should be shut down.

Unfortunately, the restaurant is currently closed, and you can only use the McDrive. Perhaps this should be announced on the website.

Renovation is complete... Restaurant closed again. You can order online using the app and get the pickup code, but when you want to pick up your order, you'll find the doors locked.

The gentleman at the counter said there was ice cream but then after we waited 20 minutes we were told that there was no ice cream. It was outrageous. The ice cream machine is always off. That can't be right.

Since the construction work, it's become so lifeless. You can't understand the employees at the drive-thru. There are far fewer parking spaces, even though there was already a shortage before the construction work. As a pedestrian, it's become even more difficult than it already was. When it comes to toppings at a McFlurry, it always depends on who's doing it. Sometimes there are a lot of toppings, sometimes hardly any.

Now you've completely ruined the store. It's as ugly and uncomfortable as a train station B level, and no one knows what the drive-thru is supposed to represent. It seemed like it went downhill with every renovation. It used to be a highlight for children's birthdays, but now it's pure disappointment!

The renovation was definitely a success. What deserves special mention, however, is the lady who works tirelessly in service. When she's not delivering food to the tables, she cleans the place, ensuring that it's always clean by Frankfurt standards. Retain this lady as much as possible! Every business owner wants such dedicated employees.

What can you say about the food at McDonald's? It's the same everywhere. But the restrooms here were a disaster. If the toilet seat is next to the toilet in every restroom, then you should take action!

Newly renovated, it looks chic inside. But there are significantly fewer parking spaces, and children are no longer welcome. The outdoor play area is completely missing.

Hello, I called and asked if there are any job vacancies. The first answer I got was: Welcome to the Frankfurt police. On the second call, the answer was: Yes, there are applications to the police. Come by with your mother. I hadn't even called here before and wanted to ask if I could apply because I'm currently looking for work. Today's visit was a disaster. There were already problems at the drive-thru: Since the renovations, it's almost impossible to understand the employees. After five minutes of misunderstanding, we were told to go to the window – where we waited another ten minutes because the employee couldn't read our two coupons. Communication was almost impossible; she typed around aimlessly and then explained that the line behind us was too long and we couldn't order. One coupon was accepted, the other wasn't – apparently, canceling it wasn't possible either. The next employee was rude and said the food had been waiting for 30 minutes. I asked for a supervisor, but to no avail. Since we were stuck, my pregnant wife had to run into the restaurant and reorder at the terminal. The food was cold, and the drinks overflowed because the lids weren't on properly. Overall, the staff was unfriendly and their German was very poor. Unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment – ​​we won't be back anytime soon.

Finally open again. I'll be stopping by tomorrow with my family of 10. The McSmart menu is waiting for you :)

As a pedestrian and cyclist, yes, but as a driver, it's more difficult. The renovation has removed many, many parking spaces, and the new electric charging stations mean even fewer parking spaces than before. The interior feels modern, but the lack of walls makes it feel more like a large hall.

Renovated, why? By far the worst McKinney around! The new look doesn't help at all! Let's start at the beginning: the entrance to the McKinney Drive-In is much worse than it was before the renovation! Moving the intercom to the street is a real headache. The only word that comes to mind is: stupid! Even the lady at the cash register couldn't understand anything and confirmed to me that it was just stupid! Maybe it's like the Titanic and Noah's Ark; one was built by professionals and sank. The chicken wings were okay, but unfortunately, there wasn't anything else worth mentioning. Despite clearly stating that I didn't want any sauce, they ended up with two mayo packets. The fries are so soggy that you can't tell if they're from today or last week. They're lukewarm at best, and I can hardly tell from the taste whether they had any salt in them. It can happen that it was a Diet Coke instead of the Fanta that the receipt stated. But if it hadn't, if the lid had at least been closed properly, I wouldn't have had the soup in my car, and so my overall impression is best rated as a grade of 5-! The price/performance ratio may be good at other stores, but at this McDonald's, nothing is right! Every euro spent by customers here is one too many!

After the renovation, the restaurant looks great. You can't really give McDonald's food a five-star rating. Nevertheless, the food is super fresh, served quickly, and served hot. Lino is a super nice employee who also has a friendly smile, which isn't usually seen at McDonald's.

I was just in front of MCS and looked at what it looked like. I was on the sidewalk in front of the fence and the security guard shone the light in my face and asked what I wanted. I had a fried fly in my fries. There was no refund. Instead, I was offered a new bag? Is that even possible?! A case for the health department! Who wants fries again when there was a fly in them before!

It's okay, not very busy. I wish there were more employees who could speak and understand German fluently. I asked them something and they answered something I already knew. I ordered a McFlurry, but they used a machine labeled "McSundae." One of the employees forgot my order and gave me completely the wrong drinks. But that doesn't bother me too much; I just wanted the glasses.

This has nothing to do with fast food anymore. It's overcrowded, the ordering screens don't all work, coupons aren't accepted, the food takes forever (low-food), and half of it gets forgotten! No napkins, and no clean tables.

The employees, especially at the compilation station, are a disaster. Nothing has changed since the last visit, still haphazard and catastrophic. We exchange the food and then forget things.

Please always check when you order a Happy Meal that the toy is there, I check straight away and if I don't do that, I'll warn you that it's been forgotten every two times. Frankfurt Grissheim doesn't have any skilled staff. It's sad for a company like MCDONALDS if you think back in the 90s you never had to check whether the toy was there and I can say the toy was always there, but today you always have to check because I only have skilled workers!

I was a little concerned about the reviews. We've experienced terrible McDonald's before, but it was really great. Very disappointed no supervisor on site. Very bad employee relationship. I was there today with my girlfriend. An old man served me in the MC Cafe. The staff is rude, very slow, when you get there you feel like you owe them something! If you choose a dish without any ingredients, they don’t care what you chose, they don’t pay attention to it! There was no refund, no apology and zero service. I am seriously considering informing the health department because cold, possibly poorly stored or prepared food and this type of treatment of customers is absolutely unacceptable.

Very disappointing! I waited over an hour for my food - completely unacceptable. When it finally arrived everything was cold. My drink (Fanta) had absolutely no taste, as if it had been diluted with water. The service was subpar: When I complained to the branch manager, I was treated rudely. That's not how you treat customers. For me that was the last time.

Catastrophic conditions. Could be the next filming location for Team Wallraf. Staff deliberately avoids customers’ questions. For me, waiting times beyond 45 minutes have nothing to do with fast food. Orders disappear from the pickup monitor without anything being received.

We ordered delivery after arriving to Germany and to hotel, as there was no other option for food last night. Order was made at 21:26 and food was received 2 hours later. They prepared food without having driver to deliver. That food was prepared 2 hours before and it was delivered like that. They didn’t bother to maybe replace fries or anything. Nope. There was no common sense. Not to mention that it wasn’t prepared as per Mc standard and update that we made (what we want inside our burger or no).
