McDonald's in Frankfurt am Main

Worst, never come here. 1. Eggshells still in the McMuffin -> I'm going to file a complaint with McDonald's headquarters. 2. The packaging is extremely poor. Half the packaging is empty. 3. The McMuffin packaging is also poor. There's about 1/8 of a bacon in the Bacon Egg McMuffin. Hahahaha. The hygiene is beyond words. You can tell how sanitary they are just by looking at the eggshells still in the McMuffin.

The staff there urgently need basic training (breakfast).

This used to be much better. My Hamburger Royal TS was cold. The meat crust was burnt. The cheese was cold and not melted. The little uninvited guest doesn't improve the experience. (See video) That's a rat, doesn't anyone see that?

Breakfast at the airport is McMorning~ There were fewer people than I expected, so it was spacious~

Well, you shouldn't have opened the store today at all. Half the menu was unavailable, and what was served was almost inedible. The fries were cold and soggy, the Big Mac lukewarm and dry as the Gobi Desert. The Royal TS was out, so I ordered a Royal Cheese instead, which wasn't related to the Gobi Desert, but had apparently spent the evening in the fridge... With the crowds and the throughput, it should be possible to offer reasonably freshly produced goods.

I'm sorry, but this is an absolute dump. We placed our breakfast order shortly after 10 and decided to pay in cash. The cashier was incredibly stressed because she said they were busy, which wasn't the case. She told us at the beginning that we had to wait a moment so we could pay. She left us standing for 20 minutes and told the other employee that she wasn't allowed to take our money. Everyone else who placed their order after us got their order, of course, except for us. She left us standing there until 10:30 sharp, on purpose. At 10:30 she said to her colleague, "NOW you can take the money," and closed the breakfast service beforehand. She then took over the cashing herself, looked at the note and, in an absolutely annoyed and disgusting manner, told us that breakfast was over and she was just leaving 😂? What kind of inconsiderate and disgusting behavior is that? If you don't like your job, then please just stop doing it. I hope this message goes to management and that you get a warning or, even better, termination. Intentionally not cashing customers so that you don't get your breakfast and then treating them like that is absolute misconduct. The situation was on October 25, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. Female cashier with dark hair.

The branch is on the second basement level of the City Mall, near Terminal A. The location on Google Maps isn't really accurate, so I had to search for a long time.

The large cappuccino for €4.29 was, unfortunately, a complete joke. When I received the cup, I initially thought it was empty because it was so light—there was hardly any contents.

Super nice service! We had to hurry because our flight was due to arrive very soon, but the staff worked extra hard to get us there on time! Our kids were even able to exchange their Happy Meal toy because they wanted a different one. The food was standard, what you'd expect from McDonald's, but the service was relatively good!

I have ordered food with Cocacola, they have filled cocacola cups with ice aside and they are waiting for orders. My Cocacola was completely water because it’s been waiting with ice for while, when i asked to change it, the stuff made fund of me and spoke to me a bit harder and one other lady said this company should bring us bottles instead of the machine. This made me very sad and embarreses in front of the other customers in the hall. Last time in mcdonalds

The service was extremely unfriendly, and we didn't receive our €5.70 change. We ordered from the terminals and paid in cash at the counter, as my father, who is from the USA, wanted to pay. A very unfriendly lady came to us and said that food isn't brought to the table here, but it wasn't exactly the case. She then charged us and didn't give us the change. So, all in all, an unpleasant situation. The food was otherwise good.

Warning: Food poisoning. We ate here and my boyfriend had a burger that tasted strange even while eating it. This resulted in severe food poisoning! We vomited all day, so we were unable to leave our hotel and even had to extend our stay. We'll never come back here. We completely agree with the other reviews regarding the lack of hygiene.

Unfortunately, they don't always have everything on site due to the high demand, but I've never had problems getting a seat - otherwise, it's just McDonald's

I asked if the cheese was plant based in the McPlant burger and 2 workers told me it was. So I ordered it. But while waiting for my burger to be made I had a strange feeling so I checked online and saw that it wasn’t. To be honest this is partly on me for not thoroughly checking beforehand. I was in a hurry to catch my train and thought of asking as the quickest option. I told them the cheese had dairy and the manager came and made sure I didn’t get cheese in my burger. The reason I’m writing this review is that no one took responsibility for this. I told the manager that he should probably train his staff better. But he insinuated that it was my fault for not checking the ingredients before hand on the screen (which I didn’t know I could do). Anyways, all this to say: be more professional. If you don’t know, double check rather than give whatever answer makes your job easier.

Incompetent, except for the manager. After problems with the app, I had to discuss things with several unfriendly employees without any help or support. Absolutely terrible service.

Standard MC was a stopover on the way to Frankfurt Airport. We landed at night, and luckily, MC was nearby.

On Tuesday around 5:00 p.m., we visited a busy McDonald's restaurant. We placed our order via a terminal, as recommended. We chose the "dine in" option and paid cashless. Our order was served at our table within five minutes. I've never experienced such speedy service at any other restaurant. However, the staff seemed unmotivated, and the restaurant wasn't neatly organized.

Service is much better again thanks to experienced staff. Soft drinks are finally available for breakfast, and the homeless problem has improved somewhat.

Unfortunately, it was very dirty, with food lying all over the floor and seating scattered everywhere. I wouldn't recommend it!

This is simply disgusting, the hygiene is lacking, the store should close down. I saw a mouse in McDonald's today at 3:50 pm, disgusting, I lost my appetite, the health department must come by.

Risk of confusion! Here are photos of the McDonald's in Terminal 2 – but that's not the one on the visitor's terrace! The large one with the adjacent McCafé and children's playground in Terminal 2 is only open until 10 p.m. daily!

I ordered breakfast this morning and had to wait a full 15 minutes for the food, especially for an airport meal. Way too long! When the food finally arrived, three drinks were missing, and the large cappuccino was smaller than the small cappuccino. There was a hair in the Sprite that was ordered later. The manager was also arrogant and asked me what I wanted. That's completely unacceptable! Better avoid.

The food came very quickly. Staff very friendly and competent. Therefore 4 stars.

On July 28th at 11:30 p.m., four self-service ordering machines were out of service because they had run out of cash register rolls....Can't they be replaced???

Disappointing and disrespectful treatment of young customers – 0 out of 5 I called McDonald's at Frankfurt Airport without knowing it was a branch inside the airport. I'm a teenager and wanted to order food for my parents and me. An employee answered the phone, and I politely asked if they offered home delivery. She replied, "Yes, of course, just order." So I started ordering – first for myself, then for my parents, who were sitting next to me. Suddenly, she interrupted me and said something like, "That's enough now, you won't eat it all anyway." I was surprised and told her I was ordering for my parents. My mother overheard the conversation and joined in. She asked why people spoke to customers like that. The employee suddenly changed her tone and said, "By the way, we don't deliver. And we don't accept orders from children." Then she simply hung up. I find this behavior completely inappropriate and disrespectful. If they had said from the beginning, "Sorry, we don't deliver," or politely pointed out, "If you're a minor, please have your parents call," everything would have been fine. My parents would have simply taken the order. But letting me order first, then belittling me, and finally fobbling me off with, "We don't accept orders from children" – that's simply unprofessional. I'm not a small child and I want to be taken seriously – especially when I communicate politely and clearly. That's not how you treat customers, young or old. Conclusion: 0 out of 5 stars. A very disappointing experience.

Ice cream machine is broken as always

One of the good places to wait for passengers and have a drink and relax. You can either pay by credit card or pay at the counter.

It's large and has plenty of tables. The vending machines work quite well, and it has a McCafé and a small children's area. It has plenty of staff. Unfortunately, since it's located inside the airport, it seems a bit "dirty."

Why is there only terrible McDonald's food on the terrace now? Why do I have to put my kids through this when they want to watch the planes and would love to eat something? Has McDonald's pushed out all the restaurants in the food plaza? Really terrible.

The owner apparently doesn't need any sales. I stood behind a family from abroad for 10 minutes while ordering. Very normal at an airport. What isn't normal is that four employees, including the shift manager, are standing next to me, doing absolutely nothing but not deeming it necessary to take my order. So I left again. 👍

Classic experience nothing else

I was there last year, but forgot to leave a review last time. The staff are quite friendly, and the food was good too. If you get off the plane hungry, it's nice that at least McDonald's is still open so you can get something to eat quickly.

Nice seating. Unfortunately, there were no windows and no real light. What struck me as particularly tragic, however, was one unfortunate incident. When I ordered a hot apple turnover, I was told upon pickup that they were out of apple turnovers and I could only have a vanilla turnover. So far, so good. I bit the bullet and took the replacement. However, just a short time later, I witnessed a customer after me actually receiving an apple turnover. This very disappointing experience was not even made up for by the mediocre vanilla turnover. But it's a McDonald's, you can have it if you can live with the fact that it's fast food.

It would be nice if McFlurry's plastic spoons would come back. The wooden spoon has a bitter taste. While you could still give the ice cream to a plastic spoon, these days you just get that disgusting wooden taste when you order ice cream.

Refers to the branch at the regional train station. 13 minutes for a toastie? Three people serving food that doesn't even come every minute, and then understaffed in the preparation? No lie: one person picks up the burgers and bags them, the other stands next to them, takes the bag, takes a step, and hands them out. The third person watches. McCafe isn't staffed either. That's not the problem. Just help the colleagues in the kitchen. Let's not even start on friendliness in general. Things are different in Terminal 2.

A cheap alternative to dining at the airport, especially for large families.

No, absolute chaos, it took forever and the staff was so overwhelmed with everything that everything that could go wrong went wrong. From ordering to preparation to serving. Nobody knew what ordered or who got what. Never in this restaurant again.

We were there to eat, and a needy man politely asked me if I could buy him something. I did; he was sitting at a corner. While he was eating, an employee came over, said something to him, and he walked out of McDonald's with his head bowed. I asked the employee why he wasn't allowed to eat there. The only response was "Order from the boss." When I asked, "I'm the boss, I'd like to speak with him," no one came. It won't hurt the store if a few fewer customers come. For me, it's not humane, and that's why I won't be visiting anymore!

Very nice, organized, and comfortable space. Always kept clean. Super fast service, unique flavors, and alternative menu options. Great!

A dream! And definitely worth a trip. A very special view: riding the AI ​​train from gate to gate for free, then drinking a €2 cappuccino with oat milk (and a free chocolate almond with your coffee) at McCafé and staring at the airfield… The person next to me even wanted to give me a cheeseburger – so nice! Unfortunately, breakfast was only served during breakfast hours, which was overpriced and not even properly heated. The tables weren't clean and there was trash lying around everywhere.

The size of the largest McDonald's in Germany is impressive!

I ordered a donut that was old. I took one bite and wanted to return it. Then the employee pulled all of them out, touched them all, and said it's normal, they're all so hard. Unsympathetic and unfriendly!

It's McDonalds and you get the food you know. So everything is fine. The location was difficult for us to find.

The food was quite good. It was prepared quickly. However, the waiters didn't understand that the child wanted to choose their own Happy Gift. They said they only had what was in the bag. They said you could simply hold out two toys to the child and they could choose one. That helped everyone.

Despite being the best breakfast time, the McCafé wasn't open at 8:30 a.m. We weren't informed of this during the ordering process at the terminal. So instead of a great barista-made cappuccino, we got a cappuccino with concrete foam from the machine—and for the same price (which I'd consider acceptable for barista quality). My lesson: check beforehand whether the portafilter machine is working.

Frankfurt Airport has two McDonald's. The one in Terminal 2 is the best-equipped and largest. It's located on the top floor, with a play area for toddlers and a brunch-relaxing area overlooking the runways. It's best in summer because the terrace is open for photography enthusiasts.

Vending machine coffee at Starbucks prices with no indication that the fancy portafilter machine isn't working. Not cool.

Aside from the fact that McDonald's breakfast is absolutely disgusting everywhere, in every branch 🤮 I also find it totally crap that you can't get anything else before 10 a.m. Not even a milkshake!

I'm really disappointed because I didn't get everything I ordered. I was missing three burgers, and since we were in a real hurry, we didn't realize what was missing until we got on the train. Now we're traveling through Germany hungry, and McDonald's has once again taken something without delivering what they expected. Thank you very much, we think it's great. If I could, I'd give it a negative five stars. :(

Cold fries, small burgers, nothing new!!!!

Didn't dissapoint and is a reliable place to get a decent coffee. I like the breakfast options but the rest of the menu is less exciting and often bland.

4:30 am: It was nice that they were already open. The Franzbrötchen, however, was very disappointing. €1.79 for a half-baked, raw-tasting roll. The simple coffee was okay.

After the renovation, there's more space. And it's modern. The prices are okay. Unfortunately, the coffee isn't as good as I've come to expect from McDonald's.

Generally disappointed by fastfood like McDo, but this was by far the best experience. The new mc B burger was fresh, tasty meat. Really not what I'm used to. Very clean place, and the staff (mostly female) was very cheerful and friendly. Great management of this place! Located next to the car rental desks.

Convenient free shuttle bus to airport. Clean comfortable and modern designed rooms. Perfect for early morning flights.

Too few staff, cash register system defective

We ordered €16 worth of food. Their card readers weren’t working, so we had to go to the counter to pay. There were only three people working and they were not in any hurry whatsoever to serve the line of customers waiting to pay. Twenty minutes later, I was informed that they only had black coffee. I was done at this point and said I didn’t want any of it, just refund me. They said sorry, but they can’t/won’t refund me. Never have I seen this. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.

The taste is consistent with that of other McDonald's restaurants. However, as an Indian looking for a habitual food when feeling extremely hungry, this is the right food. There is no other option for the Indians.

They kick people out of the store shortly before 2 p.m. and close it. You can't even finish your meal! Today is July 16, 2024. About 20 people were kicked out.

The manager is stupid and doesn't know how to manage the staff.

It's the worst. Unless you want to ruin your mood, don't go here even if there's nothing to eat in the airport. There are some reviews about paid ketchup, and among the McDonald's around the world I've been to, this is the first one that sells ketchup for 50 cents, but if it's a policy, there's nothing you can do about it. But if they tell you to pay money to buy it, shouldn’t you sell it for money?? No intention to take orders, no guidance, just ignores people. If you want to pay with cash, you will have to face the staff and be treated rudely, so brace yourself. All the employees are grumpy and unfriendly. They just openly ignore the customers (not only me but everyone waiting). If you don't want to work, I hope you don't work. Don't upset the feelings of other people traveling.

This branch was disastrous. The staff was extremely incompetent and barely spoke German, making communication a nightmare. The shop was dirty and left a completely unkempt impression. I had to wait over 30 minutes for two cokes and despite repeatedly asking, I didn't get them even though I had already paid. Instead of helping, an idle usher stood by and did absolutely nothing to improve the situation. This visit was an absolute disgrace. This branch definitely doesn't deserve a recommendation.

McDonald's con parque infantil que está en el interior y para todos los niños y todas las edades. Hay zona de enfriamiento, un pequeño balcón para caminar, y cafetería separada con gouches. After being mishandled by the sheraton at the airport and having a difficult day of meetings I needed some quick comfort food. I'm not really a big McDonald's fan but on this occasion the service was quick, good value and delivered exactly what I ordered. Would visit again when in the same situation
