McDonald's in Bremen

We ordered food worth €32. The order never arrived, and the staff didn't know what to do and refused to help us. They simply hung up on us during the phone call while we were explaining our problem! It took us almost three hours to cancel the order.

Items are frequently missing from the order. This has been going on for years. The sauce on the mac rib is dwindling.

The food was ready very quickly. The staff was friendly.

The service was very good, the toilets were clean, and the food was very fresh.

So we ordered from a McDonald's drive-thru. We had a nice meal. At some point, I realized they'd mixed up my hot apple pie with another one and forgotten to pack tissues, so I had to touch the steering wheel and drive with greasy hands. Thanks again for that.

The veggie nuggets were tasty, but veggie burgers or more veggie products would have been nice. The music volume could be turned down for more relaxed conversation. Advertising slogans could be less stereotypical (e.g., a contest where the stereotypical man wins/earns a lot).

We ate there on November 13, 2025, at approximately 4:30 PM. Towards evening, we developed symptoms of severe food poisoning. My wife and I experienced them almost simultaneously, about 45 minutes apart. We had uncontrollable vomiting and diarrhea, as well as severe gastrointestinal pain. We filed a complaint with the food safety authority, and I would advise anyone who ate there on November 13, 2025, and experienced problems to file a complaint as well!

After a year, things are noticeably better, including how things handle when it's very busy. We're now seeing the first signs of efforts to combat fake negative reviews (the receipt surveys). These are often done solely for the reward, resulting in pointless negative reviews that actually cause problems for the franchise. So please be honest. Text from a year ago: One or two people are still manageable (wait time approx. 15-20 minutes outside of peak hours), but anything more than that becomes difficult (approx. 45 minutes outside of peak hours). Don't order exotic meals from individual components (otherwise 60+ minutes outside of peak hours). It's best to stick to the coupon already in the app, without any changes. Cash payment and return of reusable cups add about 15 minutes to the wait. McDrive is significantly faster. It's best to come by car. Thank me later.

When will the staff finally manage to serve the food on time? The wait times and the endless "driving in" at the drive-thru are simply awful!

Very long waiting times at the drive-thru; they don't adhere to the current opening hours and close much earlier than advertised. The burgers don't look appetizing. The staff is unfriendly.

I just ordered a milkshake, fries, a cheeseburger, and nuggets at the drive-thru. The milkshake was completely ruined. The oil on the fries was old, and the cheeseburger was soggy and lukewarm. How can that happen? It works fine at other locations, doesn't it?

I was at McD's in Vahr today. I ordered a cheeseburger, 6 nuggets with barbecue sauce, small fries, and a chocolate milkshake. The floor throughout the restaurant was completely sticky - see photos. About the food: The shake was okay. The fries were just okay. Lots of small ones and extremely crispy. If you like them. The cheeseburger was only lukewarm. The nuggets seemed to have been through the fryer twice. Dry, very crispy, and dark. The tables weren't wiped down. You won't see me here again.

We visited this McDonald's this evening and were very satisfied. Good service, fast food delivery, and the Chicken McNuggets were hot and delicious. It was delicious. The store was being meticulously cleaned while we were there. We come often and will definitely be back very soon.

McWheel of Fortune!!! Ordering at this branch is like playing the lottery: You want a Coke without ice, you get it with ice. You order a Coke, you get Sprite. You want a chicken burger, you get a cheeseburger. Ice cream with chocolate sauce? Of course not. Drinks are often forgotten altogether. If you complain, you get cold food with the comment, "Bro, the fries are still warm." 🤦‍♂️ Discussions, of course, included. The icing on the cake: The store manager personally dismissed me with, "You fatso," go to Burger King if the food isn't good here. Bottom line: If you love surprises and don't mind being treated badly, this is the place for you. If you just want food and value friendliness, you're better off going somewhere else.

Yes, it's a clean McDonald's, if only because of its location. It's very busy. You can sit outside, and food is brought to you upon request. I come here often, as they also offer vegetarian dishes. At the drive-thru, you need patience; communication is poor; it's better to go inside and get it out.

Three times in a row, hamburgers do not report 1 or 2 pieces (I take large orders)

Extremely disappointing! The food was cold and tasteless, the service unfriendly and chaotic. The wait was far too long, and the value for money is absolutely terrible. Never again!

September 17, 2025 at 9:09 PM I ordered from McDonald's. I waited 10 minutes for the employee, and he started yelling at me before I could order. Then he refused to give me a receipt and wouldn't give it to me. He brought the wrong order and didn't exchange it.

The wait for the food was a bit long, the restaurant was very dark and not very appealing, the parking lot was quite tight, the staff were very friendly and the food was delicious and visually very appealing.

I ordered online from McDonald's Bremen Vahr for the second time, and unfortunately, the fries were missing, even though they were listed on the bill. This is very annoying and disappointing, especially since it has happened repeatedly. Please improve your service. I don't want to lose any more money here, as I feel discriminated against.

For YEARS, the screen that's supposed to indicate which orders are ready has been broken. The order is always shown as "ready for pickup" and ready for the customer, but it actually isn't. When you go to pick up your order, it's not ready, and the employees yell at you to wait until they call you—as if it's the customers' fault that this McDonald's branch hasn't fixed the faulty screen or system in years.

I don't know why I keep going there. They always forget something. Like today. Today, the Coke was so full that it spilled during the trip, and my passenger seat is full of Coke, and the other drinks fell through the cardboard holder.

Out of 10 visits, there hasn't been a single day where everything was okay. Sometimes the fries are missing, sometimes the Coke you ordered without ice cubes is unfortunately a Fanta with ice cubes. Then the Big Mac you ordered is unfortunately incorrectly prepared, and the fries are dry and inedible. A chocolate McSunday is delivered without chocolate, or half of it is forgotten when you order takeout, and you don't notice it until you get home. The alleged store manager (a foreigner himself) is very discriminatory and harasses foreign customers when they complain, even banning them from the premises. I'd rather cook my own food than pay money here and end up being poorly served and treated.

Yeah, something's missing from the order again that we paid for. Update here again: There are still problems, we've been waiting for our food for almost 3 hours now.

We just ordered 4 burgers. We went home and there were only 3 left. 2 burgers without Baron, but everything was paid for... no specials, nothing... but 26 euros... never again.

Poor minimum quality, the employees gave us 4 Mc Flurry strawberry instead of 4 milkshakes, which means they cheated us out of at least 10 euros and 1 liter of milkshake.

Worst McDonald's in town... 1° They cancel my online order after 40min+ 2° When i went to order in person, the restaurant was empty and not busy. So i dont know why they canceled my online order... 3° My take-away order was completely wrong, i wanted to try the new items like the Mcrispy bacon and cheese, 9 garlic pepper chicken nuggets and the Mcshaker fries. Ended up receiving a simple McChicken, 6 instead of 9 nuggets and regular fries instead of the new Mcshaker fries Unfortunately i didn't notice until i was back home, i just wanted to eat, after so much waiting (since i had already waited for the canceled online order) What pisses me off the most, is that the restaurant was practically empty, so there are no excuses, like being too busy to not take online orders or messing up orders this much... Something is very wrong at this restaurant or needs new management

I think the food is not very healthy

I'm really disappointed with the service. The employees were very rude, and the waitress seemed disorganized. Our order arrived much too late—and then it was wrong, too. We ordered an iced latte, but got something completely different. This shouldn't happen at a large company like McDonald's. Please improve the service and ensure that orders are served correctly and in a friendly manner.

My visit today was a complete disappointment. I ordered an iced coffee with ice, but it was served without ice. When I pointed this out, I was met with rude looks and a new coffee brought to me, which unfortunately tasted very poor. The fact that such a simple request is not fulfilled correctly and that I am treated with disrespect is absolutely unacceptable to me. It's obvious that customer satisfaction is not a priority here. I definitely won't be coming back and can't recommend this place to anyone.

When taking out, always check for pickup. Whether it's a drive-thru or in-store. I've often found something missing.

Unfriendly woman at McDrive. I ordered in English so my foreign friend could understand me, and she made fun of my accent. Also, the food didn't taste good. I'm never going there again.

In my experience, this is by far the worst McDonald's in all of Bremen and Lower Saxony. A 2.9-star average is 1.9 too many. The staff is a solid 6 – no order is ever complete, and discussions are impossible due to a massive language barrier. These two fundamental problems lead to long queues with even longer wait times. Even the simplest orders aren't completed or are placed incorrectly. Additional orders are ignored and charged anyway (e.g., extra sauce), and I'm told the requested drink is empty while the colleague behind me pours it. These problems occur every day of the week and every time of day. Every time I've mustered up the courage to give it another chance because it's close to home, I've bitterly regretted it. Never again.

Cold food, rude service. Unfortunately, I can understand the bad reviews as of today. We ate there today at 7 p.m. We waited forever for the food, even though the sign said it was ready for pickup. I still had enough time to watch the team at work. I've never experienced a team leader who was so rude to customers. But then you understand why things are the way they are. McDonald's should invest more time in training regarding processes and customer service, or remove the logo.

Unfortunately the food hasn't been so good lately, or rather the fries. The last few visits have always been mostly raw, but the service is A1. The employees are always nice and you get your money back if something doesn't taste good. Great 👍🏻

Ordered to MC Drive. Waiting time too long for the small number of businesses. Then the order was initially missed. A water instead of a burger, complained. We then got a bag, noticed in the hotel instead of 2 citizens ordered only one in the bag and then all for 15 euros. Total bankruptcy

Incredible! I thought the McDonalds at the train station would have been a low point in terms of service and quality. No! Here in the Vahr they manage to surpass everything. Tables are sticky, employees don't understand German and are extremely unfriendly, even the fries weren't really fried but just thawed. Staff don't work in a coordinated manner, everyone runs around like headless chickens. Toilets dirty. To protect yourself and your family, this branch should be closed IMMEDIATELY.

The waiting time always gets longer, no matter during peak time on Sunday evening or normal time. It looks like everyone is very busy but with chaos. The information on the screen is not reliable at all. According to my understanding of McD, there are defined preparation times and KPIs. The employees in the store press the button for ready for collection and then the preparation begins! The order is issued but with missing items happens from time to time. You really have to unpack it again after picking it up and check it again! Not sure if we're really out of luck or not, it's hard, the toy we chose for the Happy Meal is usually not available. What was annoying was that you didn't get any notice and you just got the Happy Meal without a gift. A question as to whether an alternative would be better than not! Sometimes you can get a cold burger too. So compare to other McD stores, it's a disaster here. The second star is only because it's called McDonald's and the food is still ok according to McDonald's standards.

Things are constantly being forgotten

That upsets me every time. The employees are of no use, something from my order is always missing and I have to wait forever. CATASTROPHIC!!!

Pure incompetence. Order ready to be picked up, watched for 10 minutes as the order was prepared. So far the employees have not made a single order correctly.

After 20 minutes I went to the checkout in McDrive. Nobody speaks to you at the checkout. You stand and wait until you actively speak to an employee. The older lady at the counter has no sense of service at all and responds stroppy to a question about whether you can pick up the food directly here. Just get in line at the mcdrive again. McDonald's should react quickly. People who order at the checkout are rudely urged to go to the machine.

This McDonald's has never disappointed us. The food is always hot, the fries are salty and we never had to wait long. In our presence we have always met committed and friendly employees. Always happy to come here :)

Chaotic conditions are the order of the day here. Supplements are often forgotten in McDrive or the very limited knowledge of German by some employees leads to misunderstandings. In addition, nobody manages to change the poster outside before 9:30 a.m., so you can only check the available dishes in the app... Update 2024: Things have gotten better. The shop is now reasonably organized and the food is ok too. In addition, according to a former employee, hygiene suffered massively due to bullying. With a little research the article is easy to find. I don't know if a link is allowed here, so it's better to search for it yourself. ;-)

The place is okay, the parking lot is large enough that there are places even in the face of heavy traffic. And the food is like in every McDonald's ;)

McDonald's, what can I say about that, is available in a few nicer addresses in Bremen 😀
