McDonald's in Hannover

Today we ordered Happy Meals with the children at the order kiosks. There were several books to choose from (12 or 15), and the children selected some. All were shown as available, and the children were very excited. When the order arrived, it contained completely different books than the ones we had ordered. When I politely pointed out that we had ordered different ones, we were told rather rudely that only those three books were available today and that they couldn't change it. My children were very disappointed, as they had been so looking forward to the books. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time we've ordered Happy Meals and received completely different toys/books because the items we ordered were no longer available. Why can I still select and order items if they're not actually available?

Update 11-2025 The carrot cake is an outrage (see photo)... Generally quite friendly. Unfortunately, items are frequently missing from the order. Checked three times—everything was fine. Once, the order wasn't checked, and the Chicken McNuggets were missing. This wasn't the first time, unfortunately.

Ordered via Lieferando, waited 60 minutes, called and an employee confirmed that the delivery was on its way, after another 30 minutes the order was canceled by McDonald's. Ehmann family, you've lost me as a customer; from now on I'll go to Burger King.

Very unfriendly shift supervisor...although the employees were very nice, the shift supervisor needs to be replaced.

It took a really long time from ordering to receiving the food. My colleague had already finished his meal and I still had to wait.

Typical McDonald's atmosphere, with a very small outdoor playground and free balloons. The service staff was polite and attentive. The food was good.

There was no vegetarian food except nuggets

Today I went to McDonald's Varrelheide 188 in Hanover with my family. The food was okay, the restaurant clean – but the behavior of the shift manager was a disgrace. As always, we ordered a McSundae after our meal. The cup was only half full. When I asked about it, I received the rude reply: "You'll pay €1.50 for it" – wrong, the price is €2. Furthermore, the portion size was clearly not the usual size we're used to from other branches. When I brought it up, I was rudely told that the portion size was correct and that the employees in Dortmund "overdo it." That's not how you talk to customers, especially regulars. Very disappointing – this kind of behavior doesn't reflect well on the branch. Friendliness and respect should be urgently improved.

I went to McDonald's today and ordered a Big Tasty Bacon meal without tomatoes, a Big Tasty Bacon single without tomatoes, and a TS. But I got two Tasty Chili Cheeseburgers without onions, but with tomatoes instead – completely the wrong burgers! The TS wasn't even included, they just forgot about it. At least it wasn't included in the bill, but that's about the only thing that was right. I repeated everything clearly twice to make sure it was understood correctly, but apparently no one there is really listening. For such a big place, this is really weak and disappointing. If you're going to pay, you should get what you order.

Disaster!!!!!! Such a dirty place. EVERY table was dirty, as were the seats. The toilets were clogged and incredibly dirty. You really don't want to know what the kitchen looks like.

I ordered a McRib without onions or pickle slices. I got a McChicken Classic without sauce or lettuce.

Our Mcflurry portion was MUCH smaller than at other McDonald's stores.

Well, breakfast was okay. Afterward, I ordered a McMuffin, for which I had to wait 8:21 minutes in a nearly empty restaurant. I don't know.

The restaurant was very clean and the staff extremely friendly. We were greeted with a warm "Good morning." The food was hot and delicious, as was the coffee. I would happily stop here for breakfast again.

McDonald's. What can I say? It's delicious. Warm. Not crowded. There are definitely worse...

Well, it's one of those branches that needs improvement. Unfortunately, the tables are consistently dirty, the restrooms are a disaster, dirty, overflowing paper bins, and there's nothing to dry your hands with. The staff seemed consistently unmotivated, and even a smile wasn't returned. The food was okay, though, just like McDonald's... It used to be a really good branch.

One of the best McD's in years. The food was warm and crispy. However, the Coke was 90% ice cubes...and after 30 minutes, you'd feel filthy by default.

I had a health emergency around noon today, and the entire team took such great care of me. The lady (I think) of Turkish descent was especially helpful; she was a very kind woman. I'm extremely grateful for your help. I'm feeling better now. The food is always excellent, and I come here regularly.

It wasn't a great McDonald's; there are much better ones. We had to wait 21 minutes for our takeout order. Our number was on the display for 17 minutes, "Preparing." After that, it was shown as "Ready for pickup." When we asked at the cashier because our number had disappeared, the employees looked at us angrily and told us, "That's just how it should be. We're making your food right now. Your food will be ready soon." After 21 minutes, we were finally able to pick up our food. We also ordered a latte macchiato. Unfortunately, we only got a latte. My mother was very disappointed because the coffee was also a bit cold. Conclusion: There are better McDonald's

Rarely have I seen so many employees in a McDonald's. However, you have to expect a wait. In the store and also at the McDonald's Drive-In... The employees were very nice. 7/2/25: Star correction. We went for breakfast and ordered takeout from the restaurant. It was quiet. Two men were processing orders. One of them was on the ball, the other was rather distracted and half asleep. We didn't receive our order in full. The two men were still discussing whether cinnamon and sugar were included for the pancakes. This was confirmed by the half-asleep man. Yes, we didn't check. And tada, of course, it wasn't there. Then the wrap had almost no toppings at all. The bacon was also missing. The cappuccino to go wasn't sealed. It's really great while driving. Hence the tip: check everything. We've rarely experienced such incompetence.

Just as mediocre as all the other locations. What's particularly noteworthy here, however, are the very unfriendly and aggressive employees.

Hey, I was really surprised today. Great service, really super friendly, individual. The person who brought our food to our table was really super friendly, but give the nice man a bigger shirt, he really deserves it. In this weather he didn't give up and walked the whole time and was really friendly, so he really deserves a higher position if you had asked me! The food was also what I'm used to from MC, I was positively surprised, delicious, fresh and warm, really great, I can only recommend it.

Fries are inedible, they are made in batches and then left to go stale under the heat lamps. Limp, tepid and chewy.

The store offers ample parking, which isn't always the case at other McDonald's. The ordering kiosks worked well, but we had to wait a while for our food, which was probably due to the store being quite busy. The burgers were warm and fresh, so everything was fine. They should wipe down the tables a bit more often.

Relatively long wait, dirty table, sticky chair – we asked the staff about it, but unfortunately, there was no response. Part of the order was missing. When asked about it, there was neither an apology nor a coherent sentence. The burgers were carelessly thrown together and fell apart. We won't be back.

A very clean MC, you get your food quickly, everyone works together, and there are plenty of staff. Unfortunately, the burgers are getting smaller each time. But you can also order at the counter if you want. Unfortunately, they didn't have the glasses from the special offer.

From my experience, this McDonald's branch has always had friendly staff for 30 years! The food is usually served without a long wait. I've never had to complain about anything. SUPER!

Were served very unfriendly at the counter. We should probably order at the terminal. Because my son didn't immediately know what he wanted for dessert, apple pieces were forced on him because he would already consume enough unhealthy foods with Cola. Taste was OK, but... The filet-o-fish was only topped with half or a quarter slice of cheese. The fries were lukewarm. In general, all the employees walked around the store in a rather bad mood.

I won't be going back. Dirty tables, dirty toilets, and the crispy chicken was only lukewarm with a cold slice of cheese on top.

Once I accidentally ordered a burger with mustard even though I wanted to put it down. Ordered another one this time without mustard - it came with mustard again. Fries were mangy and the overall package was really shit

I can only agree with my previous poster, Melly. The employee who took over the table service during my visit, I think his name is Lars, simply stands out in the otherwise typically cold McDonald's charm with his friendly, warm and nice manner. Stay as you are, dear Lars. You are one of the people who bring some warmth back into this world that has become quite cold and ruthless. I hope your boss appreciates you, but I'm afraid that's not the case...

I like to go for a cappuccino at McDonald’s. The service people are always very nice and the cappuccino is delicious!

The service and food are extremely good by McDonald's standards.

Only when you visit the McDo in Altwarmbüchen do you understand that there are actually differences between the branches. This is well managed, clean and the waiting times are usually short. There is another special feature: an employee occasionally works in service here who, I believe, has a small handicap. But the employee is super attentive, really nice to all customers and, compared to other branches, he always cleans up the guest area. You rarely experience something like overcrowded carts for tablets here. Top service therefore. I prefer to go to this branch because the management seems to give slightly disadvantaged people a chance in service and that's a win for everyone.

We had to wait far too long. Everyone else got it before us and it's poor quality. They're unfriendly and it's not nice to watch them work.

One of the worst McDonald's I've ever been

This McD is neat and tidy. I ordered a Happy Metal there with 3 children and it was prepared neatly and quickly. Everything was neatly packed in the box and everything was nice and warm without having to burn your fingers. My latte macchiato was perfectly warm and the espresso in it was nice and mild and strong. The toilet was extremely clean and tidy, but unfortunately very narrow for an adult with a child. Next time I would use the disabled toilet. The toddler chair was very clean and I was able to let my little one eat in it without any problems. The entrance area is quite poorly designed. We had the first table next to the ordering terminals, so new guests sat on our laps because they couldn't spread out any further. I would go here again to get something quick to eat. Just because of the clean toilets. When you're traveling with children, you really appreciate something like this.

Staff was very unfriendly. I asked for a straw 3 times. Unfortunately I just didn't get one. The cardboard lids on the drinks are disgusting. And as long as everything is packaged in plastic, that's a really bad argument. Especially since the straws are also made from paper. Otherwise the food is expensive and bad. So not recommended.

I actually like this McDonald's best. The staff is always friendly, everything is clean, and even when the house is full, the food comes quickly. But one thing disappoints me every time: the Poffertjes. Every time I get them served rock hard, and even after a complaint, the "fresh" poffertjes are just as hard. That's a real shame, because otherwise everything here is great! 🥲

As always, there's nothing wrong with the food, but the reason for my recession is different. The employee who often carries out table service does his job extremely well. food is poor for a McD's and if there is a dispute then the Team Lead will take the side of the Employees every time - Customer is not king here. Today all is good here because they got an inspector here. So as of tomorrow same back to the usual 2-3 stars. Two out of every three orders in drive-thru has a mistake.

The best McDonald's ever! Food is always fresh and staff is very friendly. The muffins from McCafé are also worth a look (or a munch).

At McDrive we couldn't be given any information as to whether the sauces were vegan. The waitress asked indignantly whether she should ask now, we could look on the Internet. The branch manager then kindly came over at the second window to inform us that we can find out more about allergens and additives on the Internet. The McDonald near Steintor is one of the McDonalds that I don't think is that great. The reason is that the store is small and for the toilets you need a toilet code that you have to get first, but otherwise it's like any other McDonald's.

One of the best MCD branches I know. The food arrives quickly and any special requests from the terminal are taken into account. If something is on the floor, it doesn't stay there for long. An always friendly guy strolls through the store regularly and keeps it clean. He has often taken the empty tray from me at the table. Great. Things are getting better, but anyone who complains about this branch should go to Vahrenwalderstrasse. Keep it up in Altwarmbüchen. 👍👍👍

This is the best MC store in my area. What I particularly like in the summer is the great slide for the children outside. But I miss her inside. It's a shame she's gone.
