McDonald's in Göttingen

McDonald's is convenient when you want a quick bite. The burgers and fries taste good and are usually fresh. The service is friendly and you get your food quickly. Sometimes it's very crowded, though. Overall, I like McDonald's and I'm happy to come back.

It's not bad, but products are often forgotten, and when you call, they're usually rude. I know there's often stress at work, but it shouldn't be happening this often.

The food was okay, but not exactly hot.

Since the renovation on Hannoversche Straße in Göttingen, this was my first visit to the branch. I simply wanted to be polite and ask if the branch had become smaller. I was left standing at the counter by a woman who possibly didn't understand German, accompanied by a dismissive hand gesture. 🤷‍♂️ That's not what customer service looks like!!!

It has become very uncomfortable and cramped after the renovation.

The restaurant has been beautifully renovated and the staff are friendly.

I ordered a McSmart meal at the drive-thru, specifically requesting one cheeseburger and one chicken burger with a Coke. Of course, what did I get? Two cheeseburgers 😡 and no straw with the Coke 😡 I was on the highway, so I couldn't turn around. So annoying. Next time I'll go inside; they should check the order properly!

It was a stupid order because the people hung up on us and didn't take us seriously, because we just wanted our Happy Meal.

It was closed and being renovated. Maps shows it as open.

I walked half an hour to see it is closed. They should state time table punctually during construction or maintenance days!

Unfortunately, I have no choice but to give only one star. We were at the Vitamar adventure pool today and wanted to stop at McDonald's on the way back. I even checked online beforehand to find the nearest one. When we arrived, we discovered that everything was dark and closed. I don't know why. It would be nice if they updated the information online. There's a reason you check beforehand. Luckily, there was a Subway, Burger King, and Domino's about 200 meters away that were open, so it wasn't too bad.

Google Maps hasn't been updated by McDonald's. Reopening is scheduled for December 4, 2025. McDonald's really doesn't seem to have any good managers.

After the bacon was missing twice, it was there this time.

I ordered a large order of fries and received many small ones instead.

I was on the way back from Göttingen to Hanover with my husband. We stopped there to order coffee and pop cake. My husband had to go to the toilet, unfortunately he's not very good at stairs. We used the toilet downstairs on the ground floor...horrible, disgusting and unbelievable, about 1cm of urine on the floor, no water. The toilet must be broken...we reported it but nobody cared. There was a strong smell in the sales area, other customers noticed it and saw tourists from Goslar...I'll spare you the pictures...Please, dear McDonald's, clean up, it's simply unbelievable. I've never seen anything like this in 60 years...It's not a good sign for you either.

So... We really enjoyed this McDonald's. Our children were greeted with a pack of Smarties, the food was ready super quickly, and the store was very clean. But the best part was the staff: very friendly, we were served with a smile, and as we were leaving the parking lot, a waitress came after us and pointed out a jacket we'd left behind! Why can't this be like this everywhere? Thanks again!

Never again totally dirty no one was approachable

It has been better, the population is getting smaller and the prices are higher, the food in the restaurant is okay, I once ordered it to be taken home and everything was cold, which wasn't so good.

Typical fast-food restaurant atmosphere. Friendly service, short wait times, reasonable prices only for the set meals, otherwise mediocre value for money. I also have the impression that the burgers have gotten smaller over time?!

McDonalds, but the toilet without words

The food is like anywhere else, but unfortunately, it's especially dirty here. The tables are covered with leftovers, not just some of them, but all of them. The restroom is disgusting.

Ordered plant nuggets and received a mixed pack. Just my kind of humor – my return was met with ridicule and not taken seriously.

So when I order the new McShaker Fries, I assume that not only will the bag for shaking be included, but that they'll also make sure the seasoning is included. For this price, that's just not okay!

The food was ready quickly and sat there for a while because they didn't call the number. We got the wrong fries, and they were cold, too. The fries were made in advance, and some of them were still sitting under the heat lamp the 30 minutes we were there. A shame. The rest of the food was warm, though.

We were there today. The toilet wasn't clean. Toilet paper was on the floor. The sink wasn't clean. The tables weren't clean either.

A cheeseburger without cheese is working. Looks like they ran out of cheese.

I can't recommend it. We had chocolate iced coffee twice and both times the cups were full of chocolate and they didn't have lids. The entrance isn't visible. They're simply overwhelmed. Find a better shop ;)

Yes, but the toilets are a disaster, the floor is sticky, there is no soap in the dispenser and the tap only works if you get it at the right angle.

Long waiting times and extremely dirty

We placed a takeout order today. Since the place was quite busy, we quickly grabbed the bag and drove home. Unfortunately, we discovered that my daughter's apple turnover was missing. This is particularly annoying, as this isn't the first time something has been missing from an order. It's starting to get really frustrating. Especially at a large and professionally organized company like McDonald's, I expect orders to be complete and correct. In the future, we will check our order directly at the checkout counter—even though this isn't ideal in a crowded restaurant.

We were there yesterday. And just like the last few times, it was really disgusting. The toilet was flooding again, the whole floor was wet, there was toilet paper on the floor, and that's ALWAYS disgusting and dirty! The tables outside were absolutely sticky. So we went upstairs to a table, but that was also really sticky. The employee wanted to bring us the wrong food and was very rude. So, we will definitely not be going to that McDonald's again. Some of our fries were undercooked and inedible. The burgers were cold.

Every time I'm there there's always something to do with the food. Sometimes burgers are missing, once I bit off a nugget today. There was a hair in my Mc Flurry. Disaster.

Insolently, a toy was provided for the Pistacchio Milkshake. Apparently that didn't exist. In addition, the milkshake tasted like vanilla and not pistachio. There was also a very strong smell of garbage outside.

I was at the McDonald's drive-thru at 1am tonight and had the pleasure of being served by an extremely friendly and humorous employee. His polite and personable demeanor really made my visit pleasant. The service was simply outstanding! My order was served quickly, and both the fries and burgers were nice and warm. A big thank you to the nice gentlemen for this positive experience.

We sat upstairs next to the toilet. Unfortunately it smelled pretty strong. Most of the food was cold and the sauces were missing from the entire large order (youth birthday party with 10 people). My food was completely cold after going down the stairs and back up again. Too bad!

Unusual McDonalds on two levels.

Not good. Fries were soggy. Big Mac OK. but wrongly documented. Cheeseburger is a mess. Cheese not melted. Everything cold. Compressed. That's what you expect. Burgers aren't much anyway... But that was NOTHING

I drive there after work, get something to take away from the car counter...But today was the last time. Because every second order I buy there is missing a burger.....now again. And that's why it was my last visit there

I ordered my drink in a reusable cup. During preparation, I spoke to employees about the disposable cups that were provided. I told him that the cappuccino he ordered should not be filled into the disposable cup but into a reusable cup. This was still ignored. I then refused to accept the drink. The shift manager didn't feel obliged to correct this, let alone apologize, and mumbled something about being banned from the house. No solution found over the phone with the franchisee.

This branch is not even able to properly issue an order in the drive. This time everything was completely wrong again. This can happen once, but not all the time and then always to the detriment of the customer.

At 1:29 AM, I ordered food for my trip on 01/25/2025, and the employee delivered the food to me. When I went to the hotel, I discovered that the employee had stolen some of the food in order to benefit from the food amount of 10.99 euros. You must employ respectable and trustworthy employees. Fuck your employees

Opening times vary according to your mood. No reliability on the times given. You just have to be lucky whether it is still open or whether it spontaneously closes an hour earlier. Unfriendly staff too.

Always there, just around the corner. Nice staff, reasonable waiting times, mostly very clean and usual food. Thanks to all employees!

A normal MCDONALD'S with two floors.

Clean, modern McDonald's. A climbing castle outside, a play area upstairs with a projector and sockets for chargers everywhere. McCafé is of course also available.

An exceptionally clean and well-organized branch of the fast food giant. The tables were wiped sparkling clean, you could, like at many other locations, charge your smartphone and the order arrived after a few minutes. The upper seating area is particularly highly recommended 👍🏼

The McDonalds once again met my expectations, the burger was good and the fries were cold, as befits a normal McDonalds. :D It's always a mystery to me why it doesn't work to get warm fries. Otherwise the store made a good impression, the staff was nice and the restaurant was clean.

Why wearing gloves is forbidden here? It’s disgusting to watch people preparing my order with bare hands. I‘m wondering why there’s no control on this subject?! I just ordered food from MCS in the drive. Unfortunately, 2 of the 4 burgers I ordered were missing and the other 2 were simply thrown into the boxes and shaken, so I had to put my own burger together at home. It's really bad

Only one toilet for ♂️ and women ♀️. The Mc Rib always has too little sauce!!!!! Parking space was too tight, two cars couldn't fit behind each other.

My partner and I actually like to eat from McDonald's, unfortunately we were so disappointed on the last few visits because our order wasn't complete and we had to follow up every time and say something was missing. Unfortunately, I just had a very shocking experience on June 25th, 2024 at around 10:06 p.m. 10:06 p.m. Order placed: 2x smart menu and 20 nuggets At 10:25 p.m. our order was incorrectly delivered to another guest. After standing for 20 minutes with the other guest, the waitress wanted to serve it to us. Which we didn't want because the other guest had already touched the food and it was cold after standing for 20 minutes. This is very annoying because we had to wait about 45 minutes before we could eat. The restaurant manager or shift management at this point couldn't even offer a small compensation for the whole thing.

As a professional driver, I have comparisons with restaurants from all over Europe. There are very few vegetables and sauces in the burgers here. On the plus side, it was delivered quickly and was warm.

The burgers didn't taste good at all. They weren't really warm either. If the staff doesn't feel like working at night. It's better to stay at home. It was also very unclean and dingy. The toilet looked just as unhygienic.
