Waited 20 minutes for a breakfast muffin before giving up and asking for a refund.

The carts are full, and some of the tables are full and dirty. Half of the ordering computers aren't working. It takes forever; no one speaks German, right?

With all respect to the staff that is working here (I know their job is hard) - unfortunately you make a mistake in every single order I do. You forget to put even one single napkin, you forget to bring a fork when I order a salad. You mess up with the salad dressing, you mess up with the ice. I don't know why you do so many mistakes, but this is really sad. I wish you will do your job better some day.

I waited 15 minutes for a simple cheeseburger at a "fast food" restaurant. The order was minimal. No apology, no explanation. This is unacceptable for a chain of this caliber: In the industry, the typical delivery time is around 4-5 minutes, not 15 minutes. Please review the kitchen and delivery organization at this branch.

Probably the worst Mcdonald I ever had! I understand that I shouldn't be expecting gourmet standard. But even compared to other Mcdonald's I had all over UK and Europe, this was the worst. Stale cold chips, burger was luke warm and limp. Serving people were as "ok" as it can be. But, food was really bad for €24.

It's disappointing when you have to wait 20 minutes for a burger and the rest gets cold, and you only eat it because the cook can't make a burger. To be fair, though, the shift manager offered me something to make up for the wait. Update 9/23/25: I had to wait over 16 minutes again.

The food is delicious, like any other McDonald's, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. The staff is unfriendly; I had to wait a very long time for my order, and when it arrived, it turned out the sauce had been forgotten. But overall, it's a very good place with a nice view; I come here often.

Dear Sir or Madam, On September 18, 2025, I visited your restaurant in Berlin (HKE Checkpoint Charlie GmbH, Friedrichstr. 207, 10969 Berlin) and ordered table service. The details of my order: Receipt: #ORD 86 - KS.26 Time: 11:56:51 Total: €11.98 Unfortunately, my experience there was extremely disappointing. I had to wait over 40 minutes for my order. When I finally approached the staff, I was treated rudely and received no apology. I spent another 10 minutes asking about my food. The staff weren't even able to check the system to verify my order. I've never experienced such behavior at McDonald's. I went there with my child because I wanted to feed him quickly and easily. Instead, we left in a very bad mood. Due to the long delay, I also missed my German class. This was the worst service I've ever experienced at McDonald's in Berlin. I urge you to investigate this incident and take appropriate action.

The food was good and freshly prepared, the staff friendly, what more could you want 😄

We were there at 3:00 a.m. because nothing else was open. It wasn't even possible to order "to eat in." Everyone gets bags, and they're scattered all over the floor. The employee was made aware that takeout wasn't an option, but he didn't care. The place was disgusting, and resting my arms on the table was almost too much for me. If you can't even walk through the place to clear away trash or wipe the table at a time when no one is in, then I don't even want to know what it's like during the day. I have a stomach ache, and even though I'm still disgusted by this place!

The food didn't taste good. The milkshake had a really strange aftertaste. Undrinkable! The nuggets had been sitting for a while. The Big Mac was missing meat. Everything was basically awful.

The only thing that can be said is that the area in front of the cash register could easily be used as a slide. The staff speaks neither German nor proper English. They are incompetent and unaccommodating after a major failure.

Even one star is too many. The staff is unfortunately incompetent. We had to wait 25 minutes for old nuggets.

A woman upstairs is very rude and aggressive and charges 50 cents to use the bathroom. Does not wear a uniform and will still charge with proof of receipt.

Incredibly poor, slow service. All the staff are beginners with barely two hours of experience, zero German, zero English skills. The place is a disgrace and should be closed.

The restroom attendant isn't particularly welcoming or friendly. You have to pay 50 cents unless you show your ticket. Aside from that, the staff is very friendly, the breakfast prices are reasonable, and the terrace overlooking the street is very nice.

There’s a scam going on with the bathroom. If you need to use the WC, there’s an official sign that says that it’s not public and you need to show your receipt, but there’s a woman WITHOUT UNIFORM or id charging €0.50 to use the bathroom even if you show a receipt. Management allows this to happen, and when I asked her if she worked for the store she provided no explanation and demanded the 0.50 cents… even if she doesn’t work here -officially-

The heat is unbearable, it's hot outside and even hotter inside. The food is also disgusting because of the temperature. Of the 6-8 screens for self-ordering, only half or less work.

And when you think that's why the Berliners brought down the Wall in 1989! Honestly, the restaurant is in a terrible heat. To limit their workload, during table service, the staff chases us off the terrace and asks us to get our order at the counter because they're too lazy to serve us. And of course, dining indoors means dining in a blazing din of beeping! Finally, the staff is even less friendly and welcoming than a communist worker at the end of his five-year plan... In short, a huge disappointment. It should be noted, however, that the food is decent and the burgers are well-prepared.

This McDonald's is certainly a historic place, however the quality of the food, the atmosphere, the staff and especially the very unpleasant restroom manager make it an experience that should really be avoided...

Given the number of reviews reporting incidents with the very aggressive lady in charge of the toilets, it is certain that the situation will degenerate one day and McDonald's will not be able to consider that they were not aware!

Absolutely terrible branch in terms of service, cleanliness, and atmosphere. Of the six terminals, three worked because the printer was empty. I pointed this out to the employee, but he simply waved me off as if he didn't feel like it. The burger was simply sitting on the counter; it wasn't called out or shown on the display. There's trash everywhere, on the terrace, in the restaurant, and the return shelves are overflowing. Even after the employee has gone through the rows, the trash remains. The restroom costs 50 cents, even for guests! That's not only extremely outrageous, it's also illegal. I was a guest here, and being approached by an unfriendly restroom attendant completes the unpleasant experience! I'm surprised a branch like this can pass quality control. I won't be coming back.

Ordered food at 11 p.m. and got a cancellation at 12:03 a.m. You rarely see someone so lazy and incompetent. If you don't feel like working, close the damn place.

A great fast-food spot for a drink, a rest, a bathroom break, and, from the terrace, a view of Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin, a landmark in the city.

The atmosphere inside was spoiled by the stuffiness and the air conditioning not being turned on. There were many wasps and mess on the terrace.

Worst McDonald's ever. The idea here was that at a prime location, there's no need to make any effort. Several ordering terminals are broken, and there are large groups of people at the others. The table numbers are missing, intentionally? Milkshakes and apple spritzer aren't available. The coffee is mixed up. Of course, there's no kids' slide; doing something for kids is probably too expensive in the city center. So my tip: avoid it with children.

Worst McDonald's I've ever been to. At 30 degrees Celsius, you're dying from the heat inside. There's no air conditioning. Is McDonald's saving money, or is it saving all of Germany? I don't know. There are a few employees who really get on my nerves, but also some who don't eat can't complain. It just annoys me that you almost only have to order in English.

I went in for a €4 coffee to use the bathroom and was unpleasantly surprised to find that there was a person charging to enter, something I'd never seen at any of the McDonald's I've visited around the world, where I entered without restrictions or using the code printed on my receipt.

By far the worst McDonald's I've ever seen. Inside, it's pure chaos. The employees speak little to no German, only English (which is okay, but speaking German in Germany should be the norm. Tourist area or not). The scanner for the code in the app at the vending machine didn't work, and nobody cares. A McDonald's in the village has even better service. No thanks.

Eng: My order was ready, but the guys just left it and didn’t call my number (they did it for every other customer but as I can see they don’t like foreigners) so I just asked after a while and then the food was ready and, of course, cold. When I asked for a tray, the employer rolled is eyes as my order was put in a bag for takeaway, everything was put in the bag in a very messy way and the food was of course disassembled. (I selected the option on the Kiosk to eat here at the restaurant). Very very bad attitude. The toilet was indecent. ITA: our order was ready but the guys left it up there for a long time, not calling the order number (this is how it works here, both takeaway and restaurant meals you call the order and take it away), obviously they did it for all the other customers but evidently they don’t like foreigners. When I asked after a while if it was my order it was obviously already cold; by the way, everything had been put in a jumble in the takeaway bag, but I had asked from the KIOSK to eat at the table. When I asked for a tray, the employee rolled his eyes and snorted, pretending not to understand what I was asking for (I had to point to the tray). The employees are all pissed off and don't smile even if you pay for it in gold. INDECENT bathrooms.

Truly disgusting. A customer had a complaint about her burger. The lady at the counter didn't want to take it back, but as the customer left with the burger, the employee suddenly approached her and took the burger back, to everyone's surprise. She put the burger back in the kitchen, so I thought, I'll take a look. The burger ended up in another customer's large order. I then told her that this burger belongs in the trash and not in another customer's order. According to her, the customer (she came from the table with the burger, opened it in front of the server to show her what the problem was; they both talked about the opened box over the burger) didn't touch the burger, so it was okay to pass it on.

What is this!? I came here tonight to give myself a little treat since I'm feeling low and having trouble eating. Instead of comfort food I get to look forward to a night of dry heaving thanks to the at best negligent actions of the staff. I ordered a totally normal big vegan ts & paid at the kiosk. It was a slow night. There is therefore no possible imaginable justification for giving me a real meat burger, absolutely drowning in so much spicy sauce on both buns that it was sloshing out as I picked up the burger. I tried to grin and bear it anyway only to realise halfway through that it's a real meat patty that I couldn't identify because the sauce was so thick. I haven't eaten meat in over a decade, and don't have the enzymes in my stomach to painlessly digest it any longer. Messing with people's diets when you don't even know a single thing about them beyond what they ordered is beyond the pale. It's disgusting and violent behavior that can make people seriously ill. Judging by previous reviews, this seems to be a trend meriting investigation and real accountability and consequences if you find it's the same employee(s) regularly choosing to subject unsuspecting customers to unprovoked biological warfare. At the VERY least, you owe me a full refund and an apology!

I order a Happy Meal with a surprise, and they put 2 packs of apples instead. Are you kidding? Couldn't you at least warn me? I work in the service industry, but we don't pour lactose-free milk instead of soy milk if we don't have soy milk! It's terrible, my mood is zero!

The worst experience I've ever had at a McDonald's. It's super crowded, you have to be careful, there are pickpockets inside, it's very hot, the best option is to eat outside; the food is averagely good. And to top it all off, there's a very rude woman outside the bathroom who charges you to enter, even if it's just to wash your hands. It's better to avoid coming if you can; eat somewhere else.

The food is good ( it' same like in every other mcDonald's ). There is also a Mc Cafe inside. The workers are nice and the location is great because it rignt next to the check point Charlie. There is a terrace on the second floor where you can take pictures with the monument

Good McDonald’s. Right next to checkpoint Charlie. Had self serve boards, plenty of seating and an outside area with a view of the checkpoint. We got table service and waited less than ten minutes. Visited about 13.00 and it wasn’t that busy.

Stopped in at McDonald’s Friedrichstr. after a long day exploring Berlin. Service was quick, and the fries were actually hot and crispy—always a win. The place was pretty busy but still clean, and it’s super convenient if you’re near the station. Not gourmet, but exactly what you expect from McDonald’s, right in the heart of the city.

Standard chain restaurant, because it is near the tourist attractions, the staff can speak English to you proficiently, which is worthy of praise in Berlin, but when there are many people, they will forget your meal. I waited for nearly an hour and didn't get my food. I had to go to the front desk to ask, and they had just started making my food.

I'd like to highlight the excellent staff at this McDonald's. The food was meticulously prepared, and I was very pleased with the burgers. I especially want to mention the fantastic terrace on the second floor – it's a truly comfortable and quiet spot, and you can enjoy the view of the street. I was very satisfied with my visit!
