McDonald's in Dortmund

I rarely write reviews, but now I just have to let it all out. I've been here several times and picked up something to eat for my wife and myself. Unfortunately, the five or six times we've picked up something to eat, it's been very disappointing overall. Apple turnovers are served cold, the simplest orders can't be carried out correctly, and some items are even forgotten altogether. The drinks aren't even that carbonated anymore, and the service is unfortunately awful. You have to constantly argue, people usually don't understand you, the cash register systems are constantly overloaded and constantly throw up errors. Unfortunately, I have to say that this was my last visit to this McDonald's.

A really bad McDonald's, so often lukewarm fries... and for €4.19... crazy. Often sold out. Was there again on July 7, 2021. It's a disgrace, such an old, really lukewarm box of nuggets and shrimp ordered for €7.99, inedible, really disgusting, no longer edible, unfortunately I was already on the highway. On Wednesday, despite ordering hot fries, they were only lukewarm again, what a misery, this place! They were so flexible, they wanted to order something extra at the car counter... no way!!!! Today, May 22nd, I ordered extra hot fries at the counter again, lukewarm as usual, went in and explained the dilemma to the restaurant manager. The answer was, it's fast food, it always happens there, you get a new one, crazy, so incompetent. I won't go there again...

I ordered a plant-based MC flurry and got a regular one. (I'm lactose intolerant and was looking forward to a plant-based one.) I mentioned this up front, and the manager gave me a blue, supposedly plant-based MC flurry. Bottom line, it wasn't plant-based. Service isn't as friendly as you'd think.

A standard McDonald's with a terrible entrance, which is immediately blocked when the drive-thru is overcrowded. Additionally, the parking lot is generally very poorly and impractically designed. The restrooms are always dirty, unclean, and smell unpleasant. Towels are left on and next to the toilets. Wet hand towels are lying everywhere, and the sink is also sometimes full of used paper towels – very bad and simply disgusting. This needs to be addressed! I wouldn't eat here. The condition of the restrooms alone ruins any appetite. Not recommended!

Rude and disrespectful treatment by employees I was very disappointed with my visit to McDonald's in Ospel. When I tried to place an order inside, the employee, Mr. Schichler, asked me in an extremely rude manner to leave the store. When I asked why I wasn't allowed to order, I received the blunt reply: "You can also order at the overcrowded counter." This behavior is neither customer-friendly nor professional. As a customer, you feel unwelcome, but rather ostracized. I have never experienced anything like this at McDonald's before and hope that this behavior will be addressed internally.

Every time you order correctly, and every time something is missing or packed incorrectly. So I think my review deserves it. They should either close down the store or hire better employees.

It was very dirty. The restrooms were dirty, and there was a lot of paper on the floor. You had to clear a table of trash and leftover food before you could sit down. The server wandered around the room with our orders and out the door because the colleague with the first tablet had taken our lineup number. The game our little one wanted in their Happy Meal wasn't the right one. When we asked about it, we were fobbed off in a very annoyed manner, saying it wasn't available, even though there were still some in the display. All in all, very negative.

The fries were an absolute disaster again today! Laby and lukewarm. And unfortunately that is not uncommon. It's damn annoying given the prices these days. It's just infuriating when this happens so often.

This shop is really high, I haven't seen anything greasy yet, the benches are sticky with grease and all the decorative walls etc. everything is dirty, the burgers were cold, the fries were cold and some of the things I ordered were the wrong ones... absolutely not recommended this branch...never again

Everything is good as you know McDonalds. Nice restaurant but check your order, something is always missing.

I waited 15 minutes for my order to be ready and when I picked it up I wanted some fries with it. I didn't order on the computer. The saleswoman was very unfriendly and didn't give it away. Although 16 packages of fries were already warming up. I should order it again on the computer and wait. What's the problem? Turn around, take a package of fries, put it in my bag and take the 2 euros. Would only cost 20 seconds. Instead of arguing with me for 1 minute - cheeky.

Friendly and very fast service, clean place!

Because of my gluten allergy, we asked if we could separate our food into two bags. This was skillfully ignored and we waited for 10 minutes. Just disappointing!

The food was really tasty and the service was also very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the lack of cleanliness significantly spoils the overall impression. Tables and sanitary areas could have been significantly cleaner. It's a shame, because with a little more care when cleaning, the visit would have been a positive one.

The food wasn't even lukewarm despite personalized burgers, the fries were limp, there was hair on my burger and one burger was delivered completely wrong (normal cheeseburger instead of personalized chicken burger)

Never been to such a dirty McDonalds, all the seats and tables were dirty and smeared. We also had to wait a long time for our food. In the outdoor area, where children also play, young people smoking weed. That was clearly the last visit there.

Normal MC, it's best not to expect anything

I went to this McDonald's today with my wife and child - and it was just disappointing. The entire interior was extremely dirty. We had to walk two complete laps around the restaurant to even find a clean bench. Almost all the places were sticky, full of crumbs or just completely unkempt. An employee who was actually tasked with cleaning the tables instead stood outside and calmly smoked while chaos reigned inside. Nobody cared about the obvious mess. This is absolutely unacceptable for a globally known chain like McDonald’s. We definitely won't be coming back.

We sat down in the Mc Café area and ordered coffee and cake. Unfortunately, our coffee specialty came to the table in a paper cup. The table was also dirty, but was cleaned immediately upon request. The women's toilet was a complete disaster but due to vandalism, the operator can't do anything about it. In summary, a beautifully designed McDonald's with friendly, somewhat overwhelmed staff. But unfortunately not so great due to some guests who have no manners. Well, the paper cups in the Mc Café shouldn't have been there either.

Three things were missing from the meal, very unfriendly staff

The parking lot alone is a big question mark. You have to slalom between the cars to get in. A zebra crossing from one slamming route to the next :-))))) And such tight turns into the parking lot, unbelievably bad. 10 minutes of watching. Every car, really every car, had to go back and forth when turning towards the exit, otherwise they would have hit the curb. Honestly, whoever approved that, respect. Oh yeah, the food was the same as always. Tastes the same everywhere.

You have the easiest job in the world, processing an order according to the list, and you still can't manage to fill the order correctly 👏. €14 wasted for nothing, unfortunately this is not an isolated case. Guess from now on I'll have to check all my orders at the drive-thru before I leave so I don't get scammed again. Well, it is what it is. If you order at the drive-thru, be warned and just to be on the safe side, check to make sure everything is in there.

Unheard of, we were with you on March 2nd. Food was ok, my iced tea was just water, and I was also accused of hiding all the sauces just to get new ones for free, even though all of the staff had forgotten about us. RUDE to send something like that to us. The children cried because after less than 4 days the Playmobil dinosaurs came out. Supposedly claimed they were sold out. And then give the snot from the Minions as a toy that came out in cinemas last year. That was the first and last time we ate in DORTMUND OESPEL. Simply sickening and outrageous

Went to the drive in today. Order display is defective. I was rudely informed that it had been broken for 3 months. Then why wasn't a current paper map posted? Then I wanted to know what the current special burger was. I was then told that they didn't want to tell me all the burgers. Very bad and unfriendly service.

The food was very tasty, but the driver once again seemed pushy because he came very close to the door and wanted to bring in the goods.

A very average McDonalds branch in a very average location with the usual, very average "dishes".

We ate there yesterday and ordered two MC Rips from the menu The first time the sauce was definitely not MC Rip sauce and it was also way too dry and hardly any onions or cucumbers. I've never had any on an MC Rip before That was total rubbish in terms of taste, just the last thing. If it hadn't been so crowded I would have complained on the spot. I've already written a lot. The staff has now reached a very low level. There is a lack of basic skills and no emphasis is placed on customer friendliness. This may also be due to the fact that there are no trained specialists working there and that most of the employees are not German. All in all, the service thought is missing.

Eating on site is just not my thing given the hustle and bustle, but otherwise everything is good. There's actually never been anything missing from them because it's often the case at other locations, when you go to Mcces you always check the bags

We were there around midnight. Did MC Drive. Everything went very, very quickly from ordering to taking away. Unfortunately there was very little sauce on the burgers, so the taste wasn't what you're used to from MC DONALD. Too bad.

Machines for ordering don't work correctly, so we wanted to order at the counter, where we were told that we should order at the machine. Employee extremely rude, soon we'll go to Burger King next door. I was there last night with a colleague, we relaxed and got a menu and later when I was home I noticed that my stomach was making strange noises and then I woke up in the middle of the night because I had completely disrespectful explosive diiarhea.

Toilets really dirty and very unhygienic. The light there is terrible & you usually can't lock the doors properly. Everything is stuck in the toilets. The food is mostly warm and most of the tables are NOT clean. Waiting times are normal & the food tastes pretty good (most of the time)

In itself quite tasty, but the service is rubbish, yesterday we waited half an hour for 5 things, while others who came significantly later with the same amount or more were able to pick up their food, and yesterday half of it was missing and the employees had to ask twice point out what's missing and then you don't even get an apology.

Disgrace!!! My fries were simply unsalted!!! Although I really didn't expect the best fries, cold limp fries without salt are awesome. On top of that I bite into the driest chicken burger I've ever had...Sweet and sour sauce was probably out??? Although a large drink is specified in the menu, I only got a small drink. So I've definitely been to better McDonald's restaurants... Something definitely needs to change here

Unfortunately, the lady who served the drive-in wasn't willing to take 4 chicken burgers out of our order. It was a misunderstanding that the lady unfortunately wanted to clarify in the smallest possible way. This is better!! Happened at around 6:45 p.m., the lady was wearing glasses :)

I'm still speechless. We were at McDonald's kley yesterday (9/23/24) at around 4 p.m. When we stood at the front and wanted to place our order at the self-service counter, we saw and heard (including 3 other customers with whom we then talked about the situation) how the obvious manager loudly shouted at an obviously new employee (young, glasses). asked her to please be quiet right now and listen - he would always be in trouble because of her. THAT in front of all customers in 2024 is simply no one worthy of people. The way a lady (probably also a senior manager in civilian clothes) laughed at the whole thing, and everyone else watched as the employee walked away embarrassed and continued cleaning the tables, left us, and definitely all the other customers who noticed this, speechless. Simply incredible! I bought vanilla milkshake and unfortunately it was inedible! Probably double the amount of syrup, it was way too sweet! In terms of color, a vanilla shake shouldn't be brownish (a clear indication that too much syrup was added). I brought this to the manager's attention, but his reaction was very unprofessional! He just shook hands and was still angry that I told him that. Didn't mean to approach it! Very, very unfortunate!

I'm actually not the typical McDonald's customer, I went there once with friends. But I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised. Everything very clean, No more meter-long queues and no more stressful operations, you can easily order food via an app. The ordered food is brought, no comparison to the last time I visited an NC Donalds. The staff was very helpful, explained everything to me very well and patiently on my cell phone and at the terminal. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd love to come back.

Regardless of the fact that it is probably not in the company's interest to proceed this way... one of the employees scans it at the window and thereby finally shows sensible and flexible behavior in the interests of the company. The fact that licensed products like Smurfs from the Happymeal are already completely sold out after three days of advertising is certainly a problem for the McDonalds group of companies, but it's just sad and in my opinion a bit suspicious... I recently visited this McDonalds, and I was extremely disappointed with the cleanliness of the restaurant. There wasn't a single clean table available, and the toilet was in terrible condition. Eating in such atmosphere was far from enjoyable.

Once again something was missing, this time it was a burger. Never again.

The food tasted typical of McDonald's. However, it took 30 minutes for 3 small orders. There were only two of the two service staff at the front, there were people milling around in the back. You were treated helplessly and unfriendly. The restaurant was not air-conditioned. The toilets were clean.
