Service 0/5 stars! I had 25 minutes until my express train arrived on Monday at lunchtime and wanted to grab a quick bite at McDonald's. I walked in and there weren't many people in the store, so I went straight to an ordering terminal and was able to order quickly. I stood to the side and waited for my number. Suddenly, an enormous number of people came and ordered, so much so that you were almost shoulder to shoulder at the screen with the numbers. I watched as only one person prepared and packed the orders, with a second person helping out every now and then, but they were also moving at a snail's pace. Fifteen minutes passed before I felt like I'd been ripped off because everyone who ordered after me got their food before me. I asked if my order had been forgotten, to which I was simply told, "The number is on the screen, so don't forget it." By the way, I had only ordered a McSmart meal and extra chicken nuggets, so nothing special or anything major. After 20 minutes, my order for "eat here" was on a tray, even though I'd ordered takeout. Because the ICE train was supposed to depart in less than five minutes, I sprinted to the platform and saw the train just arriving. It's absolutely outrageous to have to wait 20 minutes for a simple order for €8. Get your processes organized and maybe don't have just one person packing things after a rush!

The fries tasted like someone had peed in the deep fryer. Really. Disgusting. Thrown away. Burgers were normal.

This McDo is the only place with the seats indoors at this train station. Trains depart starting at least from 7am and there is a lot of people there from the very early morning. However McDo opens at 9am only…. Why????? Either open at least at 7am or give this space to any other business which is ready to open its doors to clients in the early morning when they indeed need this.

Really impossible! I ordered a wrap via the terminal. Unfortunately it was out, which isn't a problem in itself. I understand that all products are no longer available shortly before closing time. However, I was told I wouldn't get my money back and should choose another burger! After much discussion, I did so. Instead of a decent burger I got a chicken pattie with salad and sauce! Really SUPER DELICIOUS! Really recommended! Keep it up!

I cannot recommend the restaurant in any way. It was very dirty early in the morning. The staff stood behind the counter and stared into space instead of wiping the tables. When the food was handed out there was no eye contact, let alone a greeting. The breakfast was a joke, especially due to the very poor value for money. We would have liked a place here where you could sit down and have a delicious breakfast.

Never before have we waited so long for our order. We had half an hour to spare and ended up missing the train. 1 napkin was provided

Dirty, rude and rude! Just been in the store, I stood in line to order and was coldly ignored. Two people in front of me were being served and for some reason he stopped at me. After waiting for five minutes I just wanted to ask if he could take my order to which he replied “No!”. I can understand that there is a lot going on and that you are stressed but I have never experienced anything like this. I waited another 5 minutes before asking what the problem was, he said I should order at the counter, but I wanted to pay cash. Instead of explaining what to do, he ignored my statement about the cash. After I got excited about what this was all about, it was suddenly presented as if I was the problem, when in fact I just wanted to order like the two people in front of me. Honestly, if you think even a little bit of yourself, don't want to eat garbage and then want to be treated like someone else, just look for another store! The main train station is one stop away and there is a corner with lots of restaurants.

Apparently the employees are overwhelmed The employee who cleaned the floor also prepared fries and so on, only with 1 glove, no fresh gloves, the same issue with the other employees, everything without gloves, baked goods are touched without gloves and so on Fries are totally not recommended for children. Drinks are filled into cups in advance. This means that carbon dioxide is no longer present The waiting time is a disaster 30 minutes waiting time for 1 hamburger is simply bad It's a shame I rarely go to McDonald's anyway, but when I see something like that I think about whether I'd rather go to Citizen King

Yesterday I ate 20 plan nuggets. I woke up this morning with stomach cramps and realized something was wrong. Around 8 p.m. I stuck my finger down my throat. Everything vomited black! Pure food poisoning! Whether this is a plan is questionable! I'll never set foot in the store again.

Visited this restaurant around 8h20 to order something to eat as breakfast. The good thing was that at that time there were not many people sitting down making it easier to find a place to enjoy my small meal. I ordered the muffin bacon and egg + coffee, its not the best but for the price and to keep your morning going its more than enough. Would I specially visit this place to order breakfast, the clear answer on that is no. But in case i have to find something fast to eat while waiting for me train i would say maybe or yes. No remarks towards the staff since they were too busy and there was no contact since i have ordered over the touchscreen panel.

Everything is quick, the staff doesn't say anything and the fries are weak, returned. Sitting is not good. Prices are up.

The food was completely dried out, I ordered burgers that weren't completely cooked and I had to pay €14.27 for them. I gave them €24.27 so I could get €10 back, but instead of €10 I only got €6 back because I supposedly only paid €20.27. This store was sued and closed😡🤮

I just ate the worst BigMac and the worst McFish of my life here. In addition, everything was dirty... carnival, but still bad and not recommended.

The employee didn't understand German. In addition to the hefty price for a small nuggets menu, there was also: no straw, no napkin, no sauce!

Great but spcy mc nuggets don't sound spicy

When we ordered from the machine, we were ignored at the checkout and had to wait a quarter of an hour until we could pay after repeated requests. When we were waiting for the order, we were repeatedly turned away when we asked because we had already been waiting for an hour and we were told: “then wait,” which we both saw as an incredible impudence because this woman not only ignored us but also actively rejected us. We only received our order when a nice man noticed that we had been waiting for a long time and processed the order within 2 minutes. We don't know if this woman really actively had something against us, but we were clearly treated differently than other customers (the woman is in her mid-40s and has long black hair). The food was cold when we got it after an hour of waiting and the rude treatment couldn't be completely made up for by the young man and left a bitter aftertaste while eating and didn't make us feel unwelcome but also made the food inedible.

My fastest visit to McDonald's in years. I was through in under 5 minutes by ordering 20 nuggets at the terminal. If only it were always like this at McDonald's. Unfortunately, this is rarely the case today. But okay, Cologne isn't exactly a small city.

Avoid the branch if you are in a hurry! You can't call it a fast food restaurant here! Ordered cappuccino to take away, waited 10 minutes. After I pointed out to an employee that orders received later would be processed first and that my train was leaving soon, all I got was a cheeky response. I never got the cappuccino I paid for because I had to leave after 15 minutes so as not to miss the ICE. I didn't receive any compensation or at least a response to my subsequent message to the branch.

They prepared everything quickly, one of the burgers was stale and hard, cold; upon request, it was immediately replaced with a fresh one, throwing out the entire batch of those that were stale. The other burgers and fries were ok. There is no toilet in the establishment itself, but there is one in the station building.

You wait 15 minutes for your food and then the burgers aren't even properly wrapped, an absolute disgrace.

Here they made me a cappuccino several times without coffee - they just gave me hot milk. By the way, this milk is often not available in this branch, which is why cappuccinos and lattes are often “unavailable”. Very unfriendly faces. Once I asked for the coffee to be remade and the staff was aggressive. I filed two complaints for other reasons in the summer and fall of 2024. I have not yet received a response to any of the complaints. I only come here because it's a convenient location by the train station. But if you have a choice, choose another branch - apart from the location, everything else here is terrible.

You order and pay via the app and still have to wait 30 minutes so you miss your train. And if you mention that you ordered it to take away, you'll be told to put it in the bag yourself. For me, such behavior is not appropriate. The best thing to do is to have the lady at the counter stamp it again at the job center

Can't understand the negative reviews except that the staff there seems pretty overworked. Otherwise, everything was really great there when I was there and the entire process was uncomplicated 👍

I was there for breakfast at 9 a.m. today, January 12th, and I ordered mc toast chesse, which means without bacon, but he still made it with bacon and I said to her and then they made another toast and again with bacon!!! But I was on the train and I couldn't go back in!!! If I could give zero stars! Two men were in the kitchen but the woman in the checkout was friendly.!

An excellent working atmosphere. There are no idle managers shouting unnecessarily. No disrespectful co-workers, no headaches. Everyone does their job calmly, it was a perfect Mcdonalds experience

I was at McDonald's during the monopoly promotion, out of 8 stickers I got one sticker with a code. Also, one of my burgers was missing the bottom of the bread? So wtf. The fries were in the bag the wrong way round so I had to laboriously get everything out. But the burgers were still fresh and tasty, and the fries were okay too. The restaurant itself is clean and modern, but the floor was full of sticky liquids and no one took care of it. I waited less than 5 minutes for my order, which is really great. Overall, it's a pretty ok pinnacle from McDonald's!

In Cologne you're used to one thing or another, but this establishment knocks everything out of the park...... Bad in every way... FOOD -1 SERVICE -1 HYGIENE -1 LANGUAGE -1 Worse than UBER and you have to deal with that first... I've already put the health department on alert... Thanks for nothing...

Their breads look like they were from yesterday

Well, what can I say, the comments seem to be right, but when we were ordering we were irritated by the fact that the employees weren't wearing gloves or hairnets and everyone didn't seem very well-groomed. Ordered takeaway food there today, but everything wasn't received exactly as ordered and I also got burgers without salad etc. in some cases. Well, what can I say? The first symptoms appeared four hours after consumption. My seven-year-old daughter has extreme diarrhea (waterfall-like) and I started vomiting shortly afterwards. This branch should be avoided at all costs and I will definitely inform the relevant authorities as continuing operations under these circumstances cannot be tolerated.

I've already complained to McDonald's. This restaurant belongs to a franchise entrepreneur. TGW Systemgastronomie based in Overath. Saturday afternoon around 5:36 p.m. Trash cans overflowing and bags and cups lying next to them. Tables, chairs and other seating were very dirty and sticky. Thanks to the servits you could clean yourself... but the food was cold (french fries and hamburgers). Absolutely no go. Actually impossible because this restaurant was very busy. But when I complained I was told by the very unfriendly employee. It's your own fault, you have to eat faster!!!!! Original sound.....unfortunately it goes a little too far. Because we picked up our food right at the counter when our number came up. And since we had just come from the Cologne trade fair, we were hungry up to our arms... unfortunately I have to give one star as a review, but I didn't deserve one. I hope we were an isolated case and just unlucky. There are also many other McDonald's branches that are worlds better.

We were ordering McDonald's breakfast from two different machines and my girlfriend was able to get it and I wasn't because when I accepted the purchase it was 10:31 and breakfasts are only available until 10:30 (AND THEY DON'T INDICATE IT) One of the workers does not speak English and when I mention the situation to her colleague, she can help me and she says that they do not have the product, while my girlfriend, who has the same thing, does.

Worst McDonald's I've ever experienced. The franchisee's license would have to be revoked. Yes, it was an 11.11, but you have this situation there every year and you know what to expect and that it will be busy and you will need more staff than on other days. But I have never experienced such chaotic conditions anywhere. Order terminals failed and you couldn't order at the checkout because at least 3-4 people (including the shift manager) were busy just packing the customers' orders. It was dirty everywhere and no one cared about at least a little bit of order. Customers waited over 30 minutes for their order or their order was suddenly no longer available. In the kitchen, some of the employees worked without gloves and put the slices of cheese on the burgers with their hands! You should actually report something like this to McDonald's headquarters. I can definitely not recommend this branch!!!

Why doesn't the 'M' have to be put into the bag lukewarm? Can't you expect a warm and fresh burger for €7.50?

Ordered 2 cheeseburgers, the temperature of the burgers was 28 degrees. This is absolutely not okay.

I like McDonald's food, I like the order processing with the order dates.

Paid €4 for a cocoa and got a coffee. Since I noticed it just before the train I had to take, I couldn't exchange it and had to throw it away. In addition, the waiting time was quite long because only one employee processed both food orders and mccafe hot drinks. Who would organize such a process please? And lactose-free milk was of course also out. You can choose between two allergen products (gluten oats or lactose). The price for what you get here is absurd. Like they could compete with Starbucks.

If possible, I wouldn't give a star for the unpleasant experience this evening at the Macdonald in Deutz. It's sad when managers or team leaders don't act in an exemplary manner. The lady was rude, unfriendly and obviously incompetent. This is not how customers should be treated. After almost 2 years I made the mistake of ordering there again. This branch in Deutz is now pretty unclean. The service staff is unprofessional and extremely unfriendly in every respect. To top it off, the burgers were almost cold and very dry. It felt like they had been in the compartment for a long time. The store is an absolute disaster. Actually, even one star is not justified.

I'm currently at the McDonald's in Cologne Messe Deutz train station. While waiting for my order, a mouse darted from the kitchen area in front of the counter into some kind of open storage room. I immediately informed a member of staff who listened to me but then turned around and left without giving me an answer. I then spoke to him a second time and asked if he had anything to say about it. He turned around again and left. It can certainly happen from time to time that a mouse runs through the store, especially if the store is in the train station where the doors are always open. But as staff, you should at least show a short reaction to such information. While reading the other reviews I just realized that mice are probably a known problem in the store. Apparently the staff doesn't seem to care, so I'm going to contact the local public order office tomorrow.

Boy oh boy... burgers lukewarm (rather cold), fries not crispy, no tray despite "to eat here" (the concept of "tray" seems to be quite frowned upon - if not even unknown - in this branch) and by far the stuffiest place McDonald's in Cologne. The only McDonald's still fighting for the crown of the worst McDonald's here is the one at Rudolfplatz.

Today is the day. The MC's at the train station really managed to break my nerves. I've been going there often for a year now because the MC's is very centrally located. However, I was often disappointed to find that there are rarely (if ever) highlight offers or things other than typical cheeseburgers or something like that. E.g. I have NEVER seen the wraps there or the new breakfast offering is less common there than the missing sock in the washing machine. I was a bit excited today that they had the spicy chicken nuggets there. So if you just want classic MC's, you'll find it there. However, the waiting time for the checkout there is outrageous. I know, especially after a concert, it's full and you're busy here. However, I had ordered via the terminal (like everyone else) and wanted to pay in cash like a few others. So far so good. I then waited 30 MINUTES and no one came to the checkout. Many people angrily threw away their pieces of paper and left. After I politely asked after the long wait if we could please pay in cash at the checkout, I was only somewhat rudely told that we had to work through the clock list first. I can also understand, so far so good, they just couldn't get the list processed after 40 minutes because more and more new people were joining. I then placed the same order on my cell phone with Paypal and received it after 5 minutes. I've never had to wait so long at a fast food store. I didn't know it was hard to wait on cashiers at the checkout every 15 minutes or so, but oh well. Conclusion: 3 stars, because otherwise things go faster when it's not an evening, a weekend or a concert. Take your time and your bank card there.

Had regular coffee and chocolate but both cups half full and drinks not hot only warm. Generally a bit shabby.

None of the sockets on the tables work. If I had known this beforehand, I wouldn't have ordered here in the first place. When asked, only a mushy answer and no real attempt to resolve the situation positively. McDonald's branch is also very dirty and hardly anything is available from the menu.

Food was as usual. The working atmosphere seems disturbed. Here the boss made fools of his work colleague in front of the customer. It doesn't work at all! We don't eat there anymore.

Dirtiest McDonald's I've seen in a long time. Wanted to sit down somewhere and eat something after a long car ride. Way too loud + loud, corrosive music, totally dirty; Trays used everywhere, flies flying around the tables, floor dirty...but the main thing is that an employee wipes the small counter in front of the checkout with a tissue.

When entering the restaurant, I immediately felt uneasy. We had little time and just wanted to eat something quick. The lobby area was completely littered and dirty. The wagons were all overcrowded and, out of necessity, garbage bags were simply hung on the wagons. Of the six ordering terminals, only two were working and no one bothered to look. The staff was unfriendly and ignorant. We had a small fly on the nuggets in the Happy Meal (it actually got on there and didn't fly into the food, so it was given out that way). The double cheeseburger was cold and dry. The Double Chiliese Burger was not available because a chicken burger had been wrapped in the paper from the Double Chiliese. Wrongly packaged, the wrong burger was given out. But the chicken burger was also cold and dry. The Nacho Cheese Snackers were not through. They weren't in the fryer long enough. The only thing that tasted good were the fries. They were sensibly prepared. I understand that some things may not go quite smoothly when there is a lot to do. But it wasn't so full that it would have gone wrong and there were definitely enough staff. It's a shame actually.

To put it diplomatically, not a place I would want to go again.

I was looking forward to a nice breakfast at McDonald's, but was very disappointed with this branch. The food was okay, but the coffee was so diluted and watery that it could be mistaken for black tea. Until further notice, you should avoid this location if possible.

You want something quick to eat after work, come into the store and see a completely dirty place. You get your order on a tray even though you ordered it to take away, with a long face on your face and an unfriendly manner the food was packed in a bag... On many evenings it is definitely the dirtiest branch in Cologne. Depends on what's going on in the Kölnarena or elsewhere in Deutz. Apart from that, what particularly annoys me is that no one has had the logistics under control for years. Various ingredients are often not available for many days. The products are still sold, for example all burgers without onions. - Update: Here's a photo of the new Hamburger Royal BBQ. No special order. Bacon and additional cheese are simply missing. - Update August 30, 2025: Cheese apparently in short supply. There is HALF a slice on today's Filet-o-Fish 😂

Bad experience, food wasn't clean

Hygiene was an absolute disaster but the climax was reached when I received normal ones instead of my plant nuggets.

Breakfast was no longer available at 8:30, coffee was cold and waiting times were long.

I love it when fast food restaurant employees make you feel like your mere presence is disrupting their "work." Once and never again, rarely experienced such unprofessional staff.

So I don't say anything about my cheeseburgers. It doesn't explain anything but many employees can't speak German so you can't communicate and you have to wait a long time for your food

I generally don't expect good quality from McDonald's. But when I'm completely drunk and notice that the cheeseburger is completely dried out and the meat is completely burnt, that's really bad. Also ordered without cucumbers and of course received with cucumbers, but without cheese. Ahyo and do you remember the times when hamburgers and cheeseburgers still cost a euro? Now we're almost at €3 for a cheeseburger! What is going on in this country?

The two of us were there after the club and wanted to eat something quick. When I was ordering at the terminal I saw a mouse running around. For the meal itself: The burger was extremely dry and the fries were totally wobbly and slightly dry. The only thing that didn't go wrong was the cola. All in all it's just crappy bad.

A McDonald like the others. Bad and shabby food like the rest but they open until very late in case you miss dinner time.

Sockets and USB sockets specially designed for laptop cell phones do not work on any table. No hint whatsoever. I tried it out myself for a long time and so did the neighboring tables. At least give a notice that you have switched it off.

Food came to the table very quickly and the air-conditioned side room made our stay at the train station much more pleasant!!
