Service was quick and friendly. Food (McRib) was excellent. The restroom could have been a bit cleaner. Overall, a positive experience. :)

They can't get anything done, numbers on the display disappear, table service runs back and forth with tablets countless times. Lots of people in casual clothes in the kitchen area, endless wait times for small orders.

You should think about your service staff and consider whether you want to keep them. The food has been sitting there for five minutes and hasn't been brought to us, despite table service.

After the renovation, the McDonald's in Kalk, near the arcades and the Odysseum Museum, has become very clean and pleasant. The only thing that bothers me is that there are ashtrays on the tables outside right next to the slide and the children's playground where children play. This means that smoking is allowed there - and it is very smoky there. I can't understand that. If children are within 1.5 meters of each other, adults are allowed to smoke there. There should be a separate smoking area, but under no circumstances right next to the children. Management doesn't seem to pay any attention to this.

I don't like giving negative reviews, but after this experience, I unfortunately have no other choice. The Diet Coke was fine, no complaints. The fries, however, were completely salty – it can happen, but that's the first disappointment. The burgers, however, were truly disappointing: The lettuce was wilted, the sauce was unidentifiable, and the whole thing had neither flavor nor temperature – lukewarm and definitely not McDonald's standard. What was particularly unpleasant: The packaging was dirty, with sauce residue and onions everywhere, and not a single box was clean. The order was brought to the table, but it was more like a slammed-down – I've never experienced anything like it. The restaurant itself was very dirty, there was trash on the tables, the trash cans were overflowing, and the entire area seemed unkempt. Eating in such an environment is simply no fun. I know it's not easy to find good staff these days, but this branch doesn't seem to have succeeded at all. Conclusion: Very disappointing – no trace of quality, cleanliness, or service. I will avoid this location in the future.

Of the eight ordering terminals, five were out of order, and we stood in line for 15 minutes (which stretched all the way to the front door) to order. At the counter, we were told that ordering was only possible at the terminal. Then, after ordering, we had to wait a really long time for the food. And finally, the burgers were almost cold and sparsely topping. We will avoid this restaurant in the future. In total, it took over 45 minutes from the time we arrived until we received our food.

Since my daughter was at a concert at the Lanxess Arena, I waited here until the event was over. I sat there for almost three hours. My Big Mac was freshly prepared and hot. The ice cream machine also worked (which is often not the case at McDonald's). The staff was very friendly, and the tables were cleaned several times. The service was disgusting, the employee didn't bring the whole order, there was a missing burger, dressing for the fries, cream and fear. And the sauce was different than in the order. After the renovation, I'd be happy to come back here. Unfortunately, the staff is far too slow and incompetent. The following situation is interesting: It was a Monday evening at 8 p.m. I ordered one cheeseburger and one chicken burger. It was relatively full but not overcrowded. 70% of the tables were free and there were 5-6 cars in the drive-thru. After waiting 10 minutes, my order still wasn't ready. While checking the kitchen, I saw about 10 cheeseburgers and 10 chicken burgers sitting in the tray. I asked for my order and noted it. They hastily packed up my burgers, which, of course, had been sitting there the whole time I was waiting. They had cooled down to a pleasantly warm temperature. Dear management, please do something about this – we want FAST food!!!

We actually just wanted two quick McFlurries at the MacDrive, nothing crazy. And what can I say? Everything was perfect. The staff was friendly, the ice cream machine worked (which, unfortunately, isn't always standard 😅), and the ice cream was really delicious. It was quick, no long wait. I ordered a coupon number 344 with a cheeseburger at around 2:45 p.m. Everything was fine, except the fries were almost completely lukewarm, probably because new fries were mixed with old ones. It can happen, but it shouldn't! Unfortunately, I kept having a huge problem with the Coke, which tasted completely like water. And the Coke carton wasn't changed in time. I mean, you can always post your complaint here, but basically nothing is being done anymore. You can't even talk to the employees anymore because they don't speak German. It takes a long time to get your order. It arrived half cold. No straws for Milschake. You had to stand behind them at the cash register for a good 10 minutes to get it. Sprite was just sparkling water without any taste. They changed the water for Sprite after about 10 minutes of standing at the cash register because they didn't have time. As a result, I ate cold food. There were a lot of people there, it was loud and crowded. Waiters were running around with orders. Noise and chaos.

I ordered and paid for a Big Mac and got a fish burger (a sloppy fish stick sandwiched between two foam pieces), unfortunately to go. I've never had a Filet-o-Fish before, but the meal was truly pathetic.

It's a disgrace that McDonald's works with a company like Wolt. The guys from Wolt bring the food incomplete and completely cold. The fries and burgers are inedible. The worst MCD I've ever been to. The soft drinks weren't carbonated because the system was broken. Both urinals in the men's restroom were broken. The rest of the restrooms were completely dirty. I pointed this out at the cashier...the reaction was very strange...I'll never eat there again.

I visited a McDonald's branch in Cologne (istanbulstr) with my children, hoping for a quick meal. However, what happened to us was deeply disappointing: • Waiting for over an hour for four burgers - with no result. • No satisfactory answer despite polite inquiries. • Aggressive behavior from staff that brought my children to tears. I've been to many McDonald's restaurants, but what I experienced here tops them all. During our visit, we actually saw a mouse running around the restaurant! We were naturally shocked and immediately asked an employee about it. His reaction? "It's normal." What?! It's normal for mice to run around a restaurant? This is simply disgusting and absolutely unacceptable. Hygiene doesn't seem to play a role here, and the indifference of the employees makes it even worse. I can only strongly advise against eating here. This simply shouldn't happen!

The branch has been remodeled and it has been very successful; there are now terminals for ordering and the furnishings have become nice.

We wanted to get something to eat using a coupon. Since this MCs is a bit backwards there was no ordering terminal. So off to the checkout, the lady at the checkout was a little slow but that wasn't a problem. Well, when we wanted to redeem our coupons (20 chicken nuggets for €6, classic) we were told that no coupons would be accepted. It's never happened to me before, it's a shame to be honest.

It's nice after the renovation, but at lunchtime with 4 employees it's a joke. One of them has to bring out the food all the time. The new system only works with more employees. The employees have to listen to the frustration of the guests who easily have to wait 20 minutes for their order. It's a shame, saving money on the backs of the employees. A guy sweeping the parking lot doesn't change that. 😅 And it's been that way for weeks. Compare the roster with the Odysseum. More people at lunchtime. It's a shame actually.
