McDonald's in Köln

I ordered two McPlant and got both with a meat patty... if I offer vegetarian burgers, then you should at least pay attention to that!

Opening hours on December 31st. is open until 9 p.m. They came specially. But it was already closed at 6 p.m. On the door itself and on the internet the opening times are until 9:00 p.m. Others also came specially.

McDonald's used to be good before the renovation started, but since then there have only been employees here who don't understand your orders and bring you the wrong burgers (or none at all). Table service is also offered but if you use it you wait the whole time only to hear after 20 minutes "we don't have table service" the staff have also become very slow after the renovation.

Disgraceful McDonald's restaurant I've ever been to. Ordering via machines is impossible, totally slow, you have to click every time three times, the machine responds with a delay, books the wrong products and so on. Manual order was rudely rejected by the restaurant manager. My comment that the machines weren't working properly was dismissed as nonsense. Never again.

I waited for two hours, the queues are kilometers long! They didn't give me cola from the order, I don't recommend it

Incredibly overwhelmed and unfriendly. Long wait and over half of the food comes back because it was wrong or ice cold. We only took something to go and our bag was in the check-in department for 10 minutes because a cheeseburger was missing. When we said we would like new fries because the fries had been in the bag for over 10 minutes... three employees firmly explained to us that this was not the case. By the way, 7 people previously complained about the same thing. But no matter... it's just getting harder and harder to find a good McDonald's... so Marsdorf and the one without words... tend to avoid them.

The store doesn't make it easy for me to rate it. I made a statement there: It was recently renovated. That's quite something. I don't know if the owners have changed either. Have you ever read ''Team Talon''? Were they always the owners or are they different now? I can't say now, but it doesn't really matter. The thing is: The boss or ''the bosses'' really put a lot of effort into the store. They really decorated it beautifully for Christmas, there was even an event between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. last Sunday where they had Santa Claus there and there was free cotton candy and popcorn. I felt like I was at McDonalds 20 years ago. It was really a great experience. When the boss or ''the bosses'' show up or announce themselves, you can tell that the staff is putting a lot of effort into it. There's someone running around who's constantly sweeping, cleaning the tables and even asking people if everything is okay. The tray storage area is regularly emptied and kept clean. The toilets looked acceptable and the burgers and fries were really freshly made. The store was so disgusting before and has turned 180 degrees. As I said, either the old owner had a change of heart or the new owners have really shaken up the place. Now comes the highlight: The bosses apparently come by there more often at the moment. But if they are not there or if they are not expected, the quality drops rapidly again. Then it piles up again at the storage area, where no one is running around to clean, toilets then look bad again and the quality of the food declines. In other words: The employees slouch as soon as they are among themselves again. Sometimes you can hear them arguing in the back as a guest, it takes forever until the food is ready etc etc. That's why it's difficult for me to rate the store fairly. You can tell that Team Talon is really trying to get the best out of McDonalds. But some of the employees are the same ones who worked there before the renovation. And they only sprint when the boss is there or announces himself. Otherwise they will let the store fall into disrepair again. I hope that this will change in the future. Because, otherwise, it's really a very good McDonald's, where I'll enjoy eating again.

Mega unfriendly and lie and say that they don't have something and see that they probably have it.

If there were ZERO stars for service/friendliness, you would get ZERO. We have rarely experienced staff as unfriendly and rude as these “ladies” we met today. You notice that hardly anyone is interested in doing this job anymore.

Wow that was awesome I ordered Bigmag menu and I got fries with a cheeseburger 🤯 and everything was cold and no ketchup or mayonnaise I gave 30 euros for nothing

Worst and slowest Mc in all of Germany. EC machines at the terminals don't work, only one person can collect manually after repeated requests, there was 0 salt on the fries, several orders from other customers were handed out incomplete... and all in 15 minutes! Congratulations, I had no expectations and was still disappointed. Despite being close to the train station, it is slower and more unreliable than the DB!

Beware of fraud!!! You order a menu in McDrive, then you get another, wrong menu that only costs half. This is the second time this has happened. Unfortunately, I only noticed this when I got home because the employee said again what was supposed to be in the bag. Either this is done consciously or the employees cannot read. I want my money back!

I'm absolutely pissed about this horrible store! Several ordering terminals failed, my terminal was also defective because it accepted the input with a long delay, ultra slow processes, with a large number of customers after a major event and then the order was a total disaster! I don't expect much from McDonald's, but the burger was missing ingredients (which I paid for) and the wrap was stuck to the paper so badly that it was almost impossible to eat! Overall, my conclusion is that this branch is absolutely NOT recommended!

1 star is still not enough. Staff can't cope with the rush, you get yelled at because you pay at the checkout and not by card at the terminal. Absolutely unfriendly staff. You run your hand through your hair or wipe your face and then dig into the fries without gloves. The staff stands around in the thickest rush and fidgets with their cell phones. Shift manager also incompetent and unfriendly. Never again. This is the worst branch we have ever been to.

You wait forever for your food. If you ask, you just shake your head and shrug your shoulders.

After the renovation it is now attractive again, so you can sit down and eat again.

The order number of the person ordered disappears at some point: First it appears on the monitor display “in preparation”, then at “Ready for collection”, then it disappears completely - and you suddenly find yourself standing in the restaurant completely unclear for minutes. Questions result in annoyed reactions from employees.

Branch was recently renovated. Definitely an upgrade visually, but also better in terms of process. The well-known ordering terminals are now also available here, which enable a much smoother process. We were there at lunchtime and it went a lot quicker than we expected.

The worst McDonalds ever!!!!! Waited 40 minutes for two milkshakes + apple turnover...in the end I got liquid shakes and no apple turnover...they were empty but there were fries. Statement from the team leader. We have a lot to do. There are no refunds when paying by card.

Now everything is new, looks great and McMenu tasted very good. Especially dessert. The staff is also very nice and friendly. Big recommendation.

What happened here yesterday on October 11, 2024 at 8:30 p.m. is simply unbelievable. After waiting 45 minutes at the drive-in, you are told by an aggressive employee that there is no card payment. When you politely asked if there was an option after the long waiting time, you were ignored and other customers were given priority. All the pedestrians were pulled in front of the counter and the drivers were made to wait. But even the individual orders took so long that you would think there was only one person in the kitchen. Most drivers turn around in frustration. If you can't make a reasonable sale because of the renovation work, why don't you close instead of annoying and treating all your customers so badly?

Worst Mcce's I've ever been to, unfortunately I went through the drive and straight onto the highway otherwise I would have complained about the burgers. The bread was completely burnt.

It's really no trick to work at McDonald's, but the employees in this branch manage to forget something with my order 5 times after my 5th visit. Hire people who understand German CORRECTLY. Awful

No app ordering possible. There were already plenty of burgers on display and were therefore old. There was trash on almost every table. Toilets were clean. (Monday 11:30 p.m.)

When I ordered, two items were forgotten and one item was swapped. I had the feeling that the worker was overwhelmed, even though it was very quiet at 9:30. Efforts were made to correct the error.

Unfortunately it was really bad. First a burger was missing then after 20 minutes it arrived over salted and burnt. I said I wanted to exchange the burger. So he took it and said we would get a new one, but after 10 minutes no one came and I left. Not recommended.

A McDonald's that is a bit behind in terms of technology. No ordering terminals, furnishings more like before. The store itself was reasonably clean. Staff is very unfriendly. The waitress was annoyed by the vouchers; it wasn't quick enough for her. It took her a long time to get everything onto the tablet. Nuggets were OK, the burger was dry, the top of the bun was broken(!), patty was dry, bacon was dead and cold. Toilets were reasonably clean, but there was no soap or paper 🤦‍♂️ Really not recommended!!!

Food quality is McDonald standard. Ok for a short stop. Negative, toilets unclean, no paper available. When asked, no one took care of it directly. People were already standing in line and then helped each other in other ways....

Can't order via app today. The location of this restaurant could not be found in the app at all. The ordering terminals in this restaurant are also gone. Can only order from Switche. There is a new charging station in the parking lot. DC store for €0.79. A little expensive, but at least for an emergency...

Re: Complaint about wait time and service Ladies and Gentlemen I would like to complain about my recent visit to your branch. Your restaurant seems to be turning more and more into a “slow food” experience – unfortunately in a very negative way. Waiting almost 40 minutes for a simple order at McDonald’s is unacceptable. There were also no functioning ordering terminals and no table service. The entire situation was an imposition and in no way met the expectations one has of a fast food restaurant. I've never experienced such a chaotic McDonald's. The line was so long that customers waited all the way to the exit. We waited in line for over half an hour and the staff just couldn't keep up. Very unfortunate

Sat September 7th, 2024: The main reason I went here was to see the Milky Way and Mc Flurry. The ice cream wasn't a problem but there was no milkshake because the machine was broken. When I asked how much longer (to find out whether it doesn't just need to be cleaned, as is often the case) I was told 2-3 months? Until the machine is replaced. What kind of repair service is this? As often as they break, you always have to have one in the basement to replace. There was no sprite either. Great chain!

Unbelievable, after repeating my order three times, everything was still wrong. Waited a long time, half should be brought later. This didn't happen and I had to get it myself with Reminder. The quality of the food, which should actually be standardized at McDonalds, was really bad. Dry and old in taste, even the BigMäc was not edible here. Not again.

Monday evening, not really busy, but the staff was completely overwhelmed. I ordered a menu and was only parked to the side. So far everything was ok, cola and nuggets were ready after a few seconds but I had to wait another 15 minutes for the burger... after I mentioned that the nuggets were cold again, the employee also knocked over the cola. My tray was completely empty again and I now had to listen to the employee complaining... Finally, everything was put on the tray without a word and that was it…. The branch only lives from its location! Just drive past it!

After our visit to the Odyseum, we “stopped” at the McD today. The ladies and gentlemen who were on duty today were not to be envied. Standing at the deep fryer in these temperatures is no fun. The service was top. The buns were a bit dry. As if they had been left outside for a day and had therefore dried out. Otherwise everything.okay.

Ordered via drive in last night. The employee didn't understand a word and the food we were given was definitely longer than allowed. The lettuce on the burger was rancid and looked so unappetizing that we didn't eat it. If you are not able to serve fresh food at night, you might want to reconsider your opening hours.

Bread as hard as concrete, the BigMac has probably been at Mc's longer than the guy who is supposed to repair the ice cream machine. The ambience was relatively good, no tables or chairs were damaged and the pigeons were very tame.

My son and I went in for a snack on Sunday, we had to stand in line for about 20 minutes, although there were 5 people in front of us, the fries were no longer suitable, they didn’t look like fries at all, soft and chapped, and on the cheeseburgers, it looked like someone... then he was already jumping, there were no straws for cola. Despite the constant stress during busy times, the waitresses remained friendly and responded to everything patiently. Nevertheless, everything went quickly and no one had to wait long.

This is the second time I've had to wait a long time for a fast food restaurant. And yes, 25 minutes in the drive-thru is just too long. The employees were nice and they gave me an apple turnover to make up for it, but guys...25 minutes. Surprisingly, the burger was still cold and the fries were barely salted. Oh nooooo!

It's a shame that people used to enjoy coming here, but now I try to avoid this branch. The tables are always dirty and sticky, the staff is always overwhelmed and you have to wait an eternity for your order. 20-30 minutes has become normal, depending on the time, so I don't understand how you can call something like that fast food!

This store is the most unpleasant thing I have ever experienced. We were there twice, twice we were extremely disappointed. You can say okay once, but if you have had the same experience twice, it can't be a coincidence. Why isn't the monitor repaired in the drive in??? Your employees working there really ripped us off. The first time we waited for a double cheeseburger for almost half an hour, after repeated explanations as to why it was taking so long, "we only have one chef!" But the main thing is that there are 3-4 people at the front and two of them are just standing around. Worst Mac I know. Rolls taste old and dried out. Drive Inn employees often seem annoyed and unfriendly. And why can’t coupons or rewards be redeemed at the drive here? This isn't a problem otherwise.

Actually good MC's with some shortcomings. Display on drive in has been broken for months. You can't check whether the order is correct. You can also save yourself the hassle on the Fish Mac. It was extremely dry because the remoulade was missing. Pity.

There are no touchscreen kiosks for entering orders here like everywhere else. This seems to have a negative impact on the waiting time. There is also no table service. So after queuing for 15 minutes before you can place your order, part of the order will be in front of you for another 5 minutes and will get cold while you wait for the rest to be ready. Not so great. Staff was friendly if a little overwhelmed. Location was nice and clean. Food was good.

Absolute disaster. We stood in the drive-thru for 45 minutes. And then the fries came unsalted and, unfortunately, not properly fried. Instead of Light and Zero there were two Lights. First and last time here.

There are no terminals for ordering. Long queues in front of the checkout are inevitable. According to the employee, points cannot be redeemed, which hardly makes sense. Coupons can be redeemed, but each coupon will then be billed individually. This means: If I want to redeem 3 coupons, I have to hold my card and pay 3 times. Extra points (e.g. “Order over 15 €) cannot be collected this way. Lots of stuff wasn't available (e.g. no curly fries). Overall, one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a McDonalds.

It was a disaster! There is no network there and there is no WiFi there either, because if you know that you have advantages through the app, then you also know that you need internet there. There is also no order board there...

Small children are often bullied by the Lieferando service. All the employees behind and in front of the counter look at it comfortably, while I have to argue with an antisocial guy about not yelling at other people's children. It's clear to me, I'll never go there again!
