McDonald's in Köln

After the renovation, the McDonald's in Kalk, near the arcades and the Odysseum Museum, has become very clean and pleasant. The only thing that bothers me is that there are ashtrays on the tables outside, right next to the slide and the children's playground where children play. This means smoking is allowed there – and it's very smoky. I can't understand this. If children are only 1.5 meters away from each other, adults are allowed to smoke there. There should be a separate smoking area for this, but definitely not right next to the children. Management doesn't seem to pay any attention to this.

Rarely experienced such a slow McDonald's. Next to me is another guest in the restaurant. Waiting time currently 15 minutes and no food in sight. Prepared upon request.

I visited a McDonald's branch in Cologne (istanbulstr) with my children, hoping for a quick meal. However, what happened to us was deeply disappointing: • Waiting for over an hour for four burgers - with no result. • No satisfactory answer despite polite inquiries. • Aggressive behavior from staff that brought my children to tears. We were there shortly after a concert and we got there at about 10:40 p.m. and we didn't have our food until just after 12:00 a.m. We waited over an hour for a crappy HappyMeal, which we only got after we complained, whereupon the employee made a fool of us and "accidentally" "forgot" the ketchup. Absolutely bottomless service, I could have gone to Neu Dheli and had some leper street food seller give me a prostate exam and it would still have been more pleasant, and the service wouldn't have been completely absent either. When we ate them, we noticed that a few of these fries literally tasted and smelled like goat poop, but they looked normal. When we asked an employee about it, he didn't want to believe us. When I then said that he should smell it himself, he said no and said what should I do? give them a new piece of fries? Personally, I find that very disgraceful. In general he showed no understanding.

Terrible!!! I ordered via the app and wanted to pick up my order at the drive-thru. I stood in line (three cars ahead of me) for about 20 minutes until it was my turn. When I asked the employee at the window why it took so long, since it was a fast-food restaurant, he replied, "Not enough people." When I asked the shift manager the same question, he explained that everything is always made fresh and that it's not his fault if a delivery service places 50!!! orders at once. I've been to many McDonald's restaurants, but what I experienced here tops them all. During our visit, we actually saw a mouse running around the restaurant! We were naturally shocked and immediately asked an employee about it. His reaction? "It's normal." What?! It's normal for mice to run around a restaurant? The branch has been remodeled and it has been very successful; there are now terminals for ordering and the furnishings have become nice.

We wanted to get something to eat using a coupon. Since this MCs is a bit backwards there was no ordering terminal. So off to the checkout, the lady at the checkout was a little slow but that wasn't a problem. Well, when we wanted to redeem our coupons (20 chicken nuggets for €6, classic) we were told that no coupons would be accepted. It's never happened to me before, it's a shame to be honest.

Incredibly overwhelmed and unfriendly. Long wait and over half of the food comes back because it was wrong or ice cold. We only took something to go and our bag was in the check-in department for 10 minutes because a cheeseburger was missing. When we said we would like new fries because the fries had been in the bag for over 10 minutes... three employees firmly explained to us that this was not the case. By the way, 7 people previously complained about the same thing. But no matter... it's just getting harder and harder to find a good McDonald's... so Marsdorf and the one without words... tend to avoid them.

The toilets looked acceptable and the burgers and fries were really freshly made. The store was so disgusting before and has turned 180 degrees. As I said, either the old owner had a change of heart or the new owners have really shaken up the place. Now comes the highlight: The bosses apparently come by there more often at the moment. But if they are not there or if they are not expected, the quality drops rapidly again. Then it piles up again at the storage area, where no one is running around to clean, toilets then look bad again and the quality of the food declines. In other words: The employees slouch as soon as they are among themselves again. Sometimes you can hear them arguing in the back as a guest, it takes forever until the food is ready etc etc. That's why it's difficult for me to rate the store fairly. You can tell that Team Talon is really trying to get the best out of McDonalds. But some of the employees are the same ones who worked there before the renovation. And they only sprint when the boss is there or announces himself. Otherwise they will let the store fall into disrepair again. I hope that this will change in the future. Because, otherwise, it's really a very good McDonald's, where I'll enjoy eating again.

Worst and slowest Mc in all of Germany. EC machines at the terminals don't work, only one person can collect manually after repeated requests, there was 0 salt on the fries, several orders from other customers were handed out incomplete... and all in 15 minutes!
