The girl simply didn't hear that I ordered a cappuccino and sold me a large cup of black coffee, when I made a remark, she started arguing and saying that it was my fault. I offered to call the police and listen to the surveillance cameras that I ordered, only after that she made me a cappuccino. It's terrible

A pretty generic McDonalds breakfast - nothing special but still tasty. The manager was also probably the most active manager I've seen at a McDonalds - he was constantly moving about cleaning, serving etc.

DEFECTIVE SCREENS FOR A YEAR!!! When will the screens finally be repaired? It seems the staff simply don't care. For a year now, employees have had to shout out order numbers. Can the screens finally be repaired? If you don't address the screens and hygiene issues, I will inform the press and TV. You haven't responded in a year.

There people asking money in the restroom

We arrived here in the middle of the night expecting at least warm, fresh fries. Instead, we got cold, soggy fries that had obviously been sitting around for ages. When I asked for fresh fries, the staff looked at me like I was an idiot, just for expecting edible food. No apology, no attempt to accommodate me – just annoyed stares and an unfriendly atmosphere. If you're open at night, you should at least be prepared to serve guests properly instead of making them feel like they're bothering you. Service was nonexistent, friendliness was nonexistent. Simply disappointing. Do your job better – or just close down.

Simply awful, no heating or toilets... Unacceptable at this time of year. If you try to bring these things up, forget it... you're completely ignored. It's a real shame, I used to enjoy spending my breaks there. (I'm a driver for the KVB [Cologne public transport company]) Better to go across the street to the Burger King.

The food was great and fresh, but it's freezing cold in the place, and it's unbearable for both the staff and the customers. On top of that, all the toilets seem to be broken, which I find absolutely unacceptable. The staff were very nice; I feel sorry for them. Whoever the franchisee of these McDonald's is, they should be ashamed of themselves.

After yesterday's ice cream, I spent the night with stomach cramps, vomiting, diarrhea, and chills. Furthermore, no one feels responsible for clearing the area with the sign "This area is for families" of rowdy, swearing, and insulting teenagers who sit there for hours playing mobile games. Sure, it's a supermarket, so I'll only mention the two complaints about incorrect products in passing, but that makes the food poisoning that definitely came from here all the more dramatic.

In the middle of winter, they set the air conditioning to cold, even though we pointed it out. They simply ignored it. Furthermore, the staff are very rude and disrespectful. This is a place where drunk people come after a night out when they're hungry. It's not recommended for regular guests.

I felt like having some soft serve ice cream today 🍦. I bought one for €2.00. I realize I didn't get a full ice cream cone for that, but the portion size was much smaller than the last few times. Maybe it's because there are a lot of new employees at the store and they need better training. The food service area needs a refresh or renovation; there are nicer stores in Cologne.

I waited 30-35 minutes for my only ice cream. There were power outlets, but none of them worked. The restrooms were filthy. The app marked my order as completed after just five minutes, but the ice cream never arrived. And there were hardly any people there.

I redeemed a coupon at the easy order counter for a wrap with a 0.5l drink and an extra small fries, which I picked up myself when I picked it up. When I noticed the employee wanted to give me a 0.25l drink, I apologized and pointed out that it was the wrong size. The older gentleman serving me rolled his eyes in annoyance and reluctantly gave me the correct size. There wasn't a proper hello, let alone a goodbye, and having to endure an eye roll isn't nice either. In retrospect, the fries were more like chips/pretzel sticks, and the wrap wasn't hot, let alone even remotely warm. Despite there being few customers, the tables and floor were dirty.

I've never been to such an incredibly bad McDonald's. The employees were extremely unfriendly. My friend ordered a chocolate shake. After receiving her food half an hour later, even though the entire store was empty, she received a vanilla shake. After an unfriendly return, during which the employees were already completely annoyed, even though it was their fault, she was given a new one. After arriving at the table with the new "chocolate shake" and trying it, she noticed that it wasn't a chocolate shake, but a strawberry shake. So she went to the counter again to complain. There, she was very rudely turned away, even though she remained polite the whole time. When she told us about the rejection, the employees listened to us and, for some inexplicable reason, threatened to ban us from the premises. Unable to take a single order. If you want to order a single burger, you're referred to the Beatell vending machines. Just sell something like orange or apple juice, and preferably self-service 🤌🏻 Get rid of the cash registers altogether, and you can save yourself the hassle of your crappy system if it's only used to meet quotas instead of informing customers that their order is ready. At night, around 1:00, I ordered a burger. They brought it to me immediately, without cooking it, a stale, cold burger. When I asked to replace it, they gave me a very salty burger that was impossible to eat. I threw it away. Terrible food. I do not recommend it.

male staff member was extremely rude to me and even yelled at me in front of other customers saying that I did not pick my order up on time. And he was the oldest person there with white hair and was even yelling at the staff infront of the customers very rudely. If you're into mystery packs, you've come to the right place! I've ordered shakes from there several times and each time I received a different one than the one I ordered. I don't recommend it.

We got a regular milkshake instead of the purple Grimace Shake. The waitress was definitely aware of this, as she added whipped cream to it. She was generally unfriendly and seemed more concerned with her child than with our order.

Visit to this particular McDonald's store on Friday evening. It wasn’t too crowded, we ordered easily, and after a short wait, our food was ready. We sat at a table of our choice. The restaurant is in a central location, relatively clean, without being overwhelmingly busy. We opted for a few cheeseburgers—the same plastic burger found in every McDonald's across the planet. Generally, I recommend visiting only if there's no other open option and it's the only choice available. Overall, I consider it a necessity rather than an enjoyable option

May 23, 2025, at around 5:40 a.m. on a Sunday, I went in to grab a quick bite to eat before work. Luckily, they still had burgers and the like to choose from, so I ordered the Chicken Nugget Big Mac as part of the meal. I don't recommend the burger, by the way. After I took my order, I was clearly not given a drink. After I'd eaten my food, I was entitled to ask for a drink, after all, I paid for it. At the cash register, they asked me when I ordered and with my number, which I couldn't remember right away. What nonsense is that, asking for the number? The fact is: I didn't get a drink, not even in a cone. After a five-minute discussion, I finally got my Coke. But I'll never go there again.

The first order came quickly, but they didn't give the sauces that were in the order, we had to go to the cashier to ask. We waited 20 minutes for the second order, which was just a burger and fries. If you visit this establishment, expect that you will have to pay 1 euro separately for the toilet, because otherwise you won't be allowed there.

All the staff were friendly apart from one cleaner who was in charge of the toilet. I was very disappointed because when I entered the toilet there was no sign of a fee anywhere. A dark-skinned cleaner suddenly started demanding money from me. I gave her 5 euros and she gave me 4.50 euros back. Behind me, two strangers went into the toilet with whom I had only exchanged a few words. She stopped me, snatched another euro out of my hand and claimed that I had paid for these people too. She didn't even ask for my permission! Everyone should have paid themselves, but she simply used my money. This is absolutely unacceptable, especially since she receives a salary anyway and there was no mention of a toilet fee. I only give two stars because the other employees were friendly and nice.

Very unfriendly staff. We ordered mc plant nuggets but got normal ones, since we are vegetarians we said so. We were just told that this wasn't true, that we had probably ordered normal ones and that they didn't make any mistakes. No understanding shown, no compensation or apology, no solution given. We are upset and more than disappointed. I also once ordered mc plant nuggets and there were two normal ones in them. I also raised this problem when we only got normal nuggets, but I was just brushed off and told, as before, that they didn't make any mistakes and that we had ordered normal ones this time. When I asked the McDonald's staff whether I could use the toilet for free after my purchase, I only got a stammering answer that it was a private company that ran the toilet and they didn't know that, it wasn't McDonald's responsibility. This store is incredibly dirty and just disgusting. The staff is without exception unfriendly, there is no possibility of eating on site because of the dirt and the staff responsible for cleaning only keeps their hands open in front of the toilet. McDonald's seems to have lost all control here.

The food was good. The employees at the checkout were nice, but when you use the toilet or just want to wash your hands, you are always harassed by the cleaning staff, treated unpleasantly and forced to give money or to give even more money than you actually wanted to give. The cleaning staff is still trying to negotiate a little more money. I'm very reluctant to tip unfriendly cleaning staff and don't allow myself to be harassed all the way through the restaurant. This McDonald's branch is simply very unpleasant. I try to avoid this branch.

I visited the McDonald's branch in Ehrenfeld and was very disappointed with the behavior of the lady in charge of the toilets. The sanitary facilities weren't particularly clean and the lady sat in front of the toilet talking loudly on the phone. When I didn't tip because both the cleanliness and their demeanor were unfriendly, I was immediately verbally harassed. She even followed me into the restaurant area and made the racist remark: "You white guy, you never pay." The rest of the McDonald's staff were friendly and tried to defuse the situation, but this person's behavior is completely unacceptable. I reserve the right to take legal action against this person.

As the father of a 6-month-old daughter, I was not allowed to use the changing table because it was only available in the women's toilet. Now I had to leave again with the unhappy baby. Really 💩

The McDonald's branch on Venloer Straße is particularly busy in the evenings and at night, especially on weekends. Due to its proximity to many clubs and the Ehrenfeld train station, many night owls are drawn here. Despite the high volume, the employees do a good job and remain friendly, which is something you really have to appreciate. Even late at night they don't seem annoyed or bored, which is not a given. However, one point for improvement is the cleanliness of the store. As in many other branches, cleaning could be done more often to make the atmosphere more pleasant - especially given the high volume of visitors. All in all, a solid branch, especially practical for a late snack after a party.

I've been to McDonald's in different countries and cities. The food is delicious, like everywhere else. But I was outraged because it was the first time I had seen a paid toilet in a McDonald's. I had never seen anything like it anywhere else. I was outraged because I rarely carry cash with me and always pay by card. At the same time, the cleanliness of the toilet was disgusting, I had to spray everything with antiseptic.
