Massaya Grill in Saarlouis

Wir waren gestern hier essen und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Freundliches Personal, urig eingerichtet und vor allem war das Essen echt toll! Wir hatten Gemüse (unfassbar lecker gewürzt!) mit Reis und Salat und weiches Grillhähnchen mit einem extrem leckeren Dipp, einer Art Fladenbrot und Reis. Auch als Vegetarier gibt's hier richtig leckere Optionen.

Wir hatten einen wirklich tollen Abend! Das Essen war hervorragend und die Atmosphäre einfach super angenehm. Besonders positiv war die tolle Beratung zur richtigen Essensmenge für unsere Gruppe – dadurch hat alles perfekt gepasst. Sehr freundlicher Service und rundum eine klare Empfehlung!

Bestes Essen! Bester Service! Wir kommen regelmäßig zum Essen. Das Essen ist immer gleich gut und hervorragend. Der Service ist an Nettigkeit nicht zu überbieten. Gastfreundlichkeit pur! Einziger Minuspunkt: die Tische sind sehr leer. Nicht eingedeckt oder dekoriert. Das finden wir ungemütlich. Ansonsten alles top!

Das Essen schmeckt super lecker, man merkt einfach, dass alles ganz frisch zubereitet wird. Auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung, wenn man orientalisches Essen mag :)

Eines unserer Lieblingsrestaurants in Saarlouis. Rustikales Ambiente, sehr nette Mitarbeiter und tolles Essen. Besonders die Vorspeisenvariation „für Prinzessinnen“ ist eine absolute Empfehlung. Einfach mal andere Geschmäcker, frisch und super lecker. Unbedingt ausprobieren!

Wir sind hier zum dritten Mal eingekehrt und sind nach wie vor von der Freundlichkeit der Servicekräfte sowie dem leckeren Essen begeistert. Alles war frisch, absolut ausreichend und der Service stets aufmerksam. Ich würde mir ein paar vegane Speisen mehr wünschen dann kämen wir noch öfter. Einzig das 80er Jahre Ambiente ist nicht so schön aber wir kommen ja zum Essen nicht um das Enterieur zu bestaunen.

Wir waren zu viert zum Iftar in diesem Restaurant essen und sind wirklich begeistert. Das Essen war sehr lecker und alles frisch zubereitet. Besonders positiv aufgefallen ist uns das sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Personal – man fühlt sich direkt willkommen. Wir haben den Abend dort sehr genossen und würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Unfassbar leckeres Essen und sehr große Auswahl. Wir haben bei der Vorspeisenvariation so viel bekommen und es hat richtig gut geschmeckt. Klare Empfehlung hierhin zu kommen!

Menue Aleppo für 2 Personen 75€ Einfach Klasse 8 Vorspeisen , mit sehr gutem Salat, frischem Fladenbrot , verschiedene Dipps, 2 Sorten Käsekuchen, Hauptgang 3 Spiße mit Hänchen und Lammfleisch wahlweise mit Pommes ,Reis oder Frieket ( Eine Art Graupen sehr fein) Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. While looking for an unusual restaurant, we stumbled upon Massaya Grill. The two of us went there on a Saturday afternoon and received a very friendly and attentive welcome and service. We had the Aleppo platter, several small appetizers, and a grilled meat main course. Everything we tried tasted fantastic; everything was freshly prepared and beautifully presented. The staff was prompt, attentive, friendly, and unobtrusive. The dishes are a bit on the expensive side, but still worth the price. Despite the hour-long drive, we'll be back—and bringing friends!

Last night, spontaneously and quite late, I asked if there was a table available. This was no problem at all, and the service was excellent and very friendly. The meal was part of a nice menu consisting of a starter and a main course. The food not only looked good but was also very tasty. It was seasoned normally for us, but the waiter pointed out that it might be a bit spicy (which everyone perceives differently). Upon request, however, for those with a spicy tooth, like us 😝, they prepared an additional spicy sauce, which was the icing on the cake for me. It was delicious and also spicier than the standard, which we were very pleased with. The ambiance is fitting and lovely, and the staff are simply 100% professional and incredibly friendly. We would definitely go back.

We tried it spontaneously, not knowing what to expect, and we weren't disappointed. Everything was perfect: the ambiance, the service, and most importantly, the food... Some things were even explained very well upon request, or the spiciness was pointed out... If I go back, I'll go back...

First time at a Syrian restaurant, and it was simply perfect! Several people ordered various mixed platters. A bit of everything. Aromatic, delicious, large portions.

I was absolutely thrilled with my visit to this restaurant. The food was not only delicious and perfectly prepared, but also beautifully presented. Every bite was a delight! I would especially like to highlight the staff – incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. You feel welcome and well looked after from the very first moment. The service was prompt but never intrusive, and every request was met with a smile. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant! Thank you for a wonderful evening!

We went to Massaya as a group, and it was a fantastic experience! For starters, we ordered the appetizer platter fit for kings – a fantastic selection and very tasty. After that, I had No. 44: Mixed Lamb Platter. The meat was wonderfully tender and perfectly seasoned. To finish off, we had Halawet al Jibn (mozzarella cheese balls with mascarpone and rose water) for dessert – simply delicious and something very special. Highly recommended – we'd love to come back!

The starters and the chicken skewer are very good. I will probably come back.

So, charging €10 for picture 1 is ridiculous. It's a simple Arabic bread with minimal minced meat, and it just doesn't taste good! Picture 2: a lamb dish for €32 tasted OK, but it was definitely not worth the money! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone; there are much, much better restaurants in Saarlouis!

Visited Massaya Grill for the first time and the food was really very good. Great selection of different Syrian dishes, meat and vegetarian. Great service and very friendly staff, some restaurants could learn a lesson from that. We were explained exactly what each dish was.

We were offered the menu for two, it was super good, lots of tasty little starter dishes, followed by good grilled meats and all that with impeccable and friendly service.

Very bad treatment and service and the prices are very expensive It is not worth the experience. Try it once and never repeat it

We were there with a larger group. We were already there for the opening. The food is delicious, but the price-performance ratio is underground. We ordered to share appetizers, but in the end they were charged individually. As a small, slim woman, I ate for over €34, so I could have ordered a main course. And another appetizer, maybe a dessert too. And saved money and had more food. So the appetizer platter is not worth it at all for the guest. It makes you feel really bad. I won't be coming to eat again and won't recommend it again.

Completely overpriced store. First of all, I would like to mention that I know oriental cuisine very well and have lived in Lebanon for many years. The food was not fresh (old bread, sour hummus just as an example). Annoying little flies while eating. I can expect something different given the prices. You can also turn on the heating in winter. Repetition excluded.

Competition is fierce among the many good restaurants in this beautiful city. Nevertheless, it was easy for us to give it a full five stars on our second visit (two years apart). The location is very special anyway. Added to this is the exceptional friendliness of the service(s), which makes the stay very pleasant. And the food? A pleasure, just indulge in the dishes, which are sometimes exotic to us. One thing is certain for us: the third visit is already firmly planned. Tip: reserve a table! P.S.: Unfortunately we were unable to publish the photos we took here.

Arabic cuisine at its best. I could have just eaten my fill of the starters.

Syrian cuisine is very good...but I had lamb with my dish Eggplant, didn't quite meet what I wanted...eggplant was cut very thick...salad/rice/flatbread was there...but I was still happy with the starters. We tried lentil soup & börek with spinach, it was super tasty...that 2 main course was the liver skewer, a decent portion with firehk (green wheat). Yes, the prices are high, but you don't go there every day 🫠

The foos is good, but the portions are small in comparison to the price. The atmosphere and ambience are good. I can recommend this restaurant, but be ware that the portions don't suit the people with big apetite.

Delicious exceptional food. Nice atmosphere and very friendly and nice service. Appetizer platter fit for kings is recommended. You get a little bit of everything and are definitely full at the end.

The restaurant offers different things than the usual Italian or burger restaurants. The menu is very meat-heavy, but there are vegetarian options. The food tasted okay, but I didn't think it was anything too special. The price of the restaurant has gone up a bit, you can find the current menu attached.

The food was excellent, only if the service had better not recommended the ice cream roll that was frozen as hard as a rock and was completely overpriced, then it would have easily been 5*.

Four of us were there for dinner and received a very warm welcome. The staff answered our questions about the dishes willingly and in detail with the joy of a host. Special praise for the service in general!!! The Pascha appetizer platter was a good recommendation to start with and was easily enough for us. The main courses we ordered (minced lamb, lamb, chicken and a vegetarian Syrian dish, all with freekeh instead of rice) tasted very good; However, unfortunately the sour beans were missing 😔 and despite asking, no alternative was offered. Therefore unfortunately 1 star deducted.

Beautiful ambience - cross vaults in the casemates of Saarlouis. We were served very friendly. The food was freshly prepared and the Syrian cuisine cannot really be compared with the usual culinary delights. Completely different spices and combinations come together (lots of mint and lime, meat very lean and everything very tasty). We were very positively surprised and can only recommend it.

It was very tasty, but not exactly cheap, the tables and chairs are reminiscent of pub furniture from the eighties

We tested the Syrian restaurant with 8 people. The table reservation worked perfectly. We were welcomed very friendly. Very quiet music in the background. The ambience of the restaurant and the clothing of the service staff could be improved a bit. We were well advised when choosing the menu. We decided on a two-course menu. The food was consistently excellent! Well prepared, very extensive, typical of the country, great taste with lots of aromas. The service was refreshing and very attentive. All in all a great and successful evening. We will be back!

Unfortunately the food was burnt. Ordered rice and got fries. You could be more attentive with empty drinks.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang sowie vom Kellner bei insgesamt vier Besuchen immer höflich umsorgt. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und das Preis Leistungsverhältnis TOP! Als ich erkältet war habe ich mir die orientalische Hühnersuppe gegönnt (siehe Foto). Diese ist auch meine persönliche Empfehlung! Das Ambiente in den Saarlouiser Kasematten ist wunderbar urig und gibt dem ganzen ein besonderes Flair. Einziger Kritikpunkt war die ausgeschaltete Heizung auf der Herrentoilette, das ist für eine "Sitzung" im Winter etwas zu kalt. Insgesamt sehr gute Adresse und ruhigen Gewissens weiterzuempfehlen!

Sehr gutes syrisches Essen. Auch wenn man nicht das Original kennt, wirkt alles sehr authentisch. Der Service ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Preise sind absolut fair und die Qualität des Essens sehr gut. Absolut weiterzuempfehlen.

The food quality was very poor, bland, no spices and the portion is very little compared to the price. we paid a significant amount of money and we were hungry still! Even simple things were not served with the meal like bread. We had to ask for it explicitly! Definitely don't recommend.

Tolles Essen, perfekter Service!

Wir hatten dort unsere Weihnachtsfeier. Der Service sehr aufmerksam. Das Essen super lecker und reichlich . Und ein sehr schönes Ambiente . Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren am Sonntag zum Mittagessen hier und waren begeistert! Diese Frische der Speisen und die ‚Mille aromi‘ diese verschiedensten frischen Geschmackserlebnisse der Kräuter und frischen Zutaten hat Uns sehr begeistert! Kein Vergleich mit irgendwelchen „arabischen Fast Food Läden“ auch wenn es davon Gute und wenig Gute gibt. Das war ein Mittagessen mit Niveau - auch der von mir probierte Wein hat überzeugt zu einem guten Preis. Einzig zu beanstanden war, daß das gereichte Fladenbrot nicht angewärmt gewesen ist - dann paße es in meinen Augen besser - habe aber keine Ahnung wie dazu die Tradition in Syrien ist... Ansonsten wirklich empfehlenswert! P.S. Besonders war für uns die Beilage zum Hauptgericht - der geröstete Weizen!

Das ist etwas Unglaubliches. Kurz gesagt, ein schickes Restaurant, das Essen ist auf höchstem Niveau. Schließlich gibt es kein traditionelles deutsches Schnitzel und keine Pommes Frites. Unglaublich lecker! Der Service ist auf höchstem Niveau, Leute, Kellner – vielen Dank für eure Arbeit. Schneller Service, alle Gerichte erklärt. Verneige dich tief vor dir. Die Atmosphäre selbst ist sehr gemütlich. Wir kommen immer wieder. Seit 8 Jahren in Deutschland steht dieses Restaurant auf Platz 1 meiner Favoriten!!!!
