My favourite Korean restaurant in Berlin! I like to order rice wine and enjoy any kind of food I fancy on the menu. The staff is always friendly and the service is fast.

Unfortunately, food is not my thing :/ neither beef dumplings, pancakes, Korean fried chicken, nor bibimbap were convincing Service friendly, but with communication problems

Been here twice. The first time I had the soft tofu stew w/ seafood. It was very good. The second time I had the bibimbap w/ beef. It was good, but not as good as the soft tofu stew. I was surprised that they used salad in their bibimbap. I had never had bibimbap with lettuce before.

Really delicious food, very friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. We'd love to come back ❤️

Extremely delicious food with super friendly service

Food was good. The price is a bit more expensive but that's completely fine. Service was attentive, but a bit intrusive. We ate a little slowly but they came several times (4-5 times) and wanted to take the dishes with them even though we were still eating... that made us feel very uncomfortable 😅

Four of us ate here on a Saturday without a reservation. The service was great, very accommodating and also passed on special requests. The food arrived quickly and was incredibly tasty. We would love to come back here.

Charming little Korean place with a fairly small but delicious menu. The service is attentive and the kitchen expedites their food rather fast. Definitely recommend this place for lunch or dinner.

Well we left directly and didn’t eat there this time since they changed the menue and removed all the dishes I like the most there. Was a bit disappointing to see that. Pretty Little menue now. Tteokbokkiw is a starter now instead of a main course and no ssam.

Really hope that the old menu could come back🥹 I miss Man-Du-Guk and Ssam Bap!

Not new to Korean food , advised to skip , Pancake was good , dumplings were not eatable , soup ok

The food is great, both in terms of price and taste, and all the service staff are very nice and accommodating

We had the rice with beef and the udon curry. The portions were quite small, the curry tasted like a ready mix and two pieces of meat and the rice was served with very little meat, lamb's lettuce and unseasoned raw vegetables. The price/performance ratio wasn't right for us. But the staff was very friendly.

Jjajangmyeon, Jjamppong, sweet and sour pork Sikkim As of June 24, Jjajangmyeon is 14.9 euros, Jjamppong is 18.5 euros, and sweet and sour pork is 9.5 euros. Jajangmyeon: The regular Jjajang we know. Jjambbong: They say seafood is expensive in Germany, but it's probably not around 18.5 euros, and it contains 1 shrimp, 3 mussels, and 2-3 pieces of squid. At least the shrimp tastes like when you eat old boiled shrimp. The soup is clean and good. Sweet and sour pork: delicious. The amount is small. Contains 9-10 pieces. In Germany, unlike Korea, the price of pork is quite cheap. (It has risen a lot recently, but it is still cheap. In many places, such as Schweinbraten, it is 5 euros per kilo.) Overall Review: A good food to eat occasionally for locals who find it difficult to eat Korean-style Chinese food. However, it is not recommended for Korean travelers.

Cake stand with appetizers was super delicious! Bi Bim Bap not in a stone pot, but still delicious.

Good, welcoming Korean restaurant in a good location. Good selection of meat dishes as well as vegetarian food, where there is something for every taste. Good presentation of the dishes with a suitable ambience. The drinks menu also offers a good variety of Korean beers and wines. Only the dessert menu leaves something to be desired, there is a lack of selection, especially Korean desserts. However, this does not detract from the visit.

Everything was amazing! These are vegetarian appetizers. Cheese balls were not my taste, but my bf loved them. Bibimbap was great👌

The atmosphere is modern and it is a family-owned business, so the owner himself serves the food. This is probably the most Korean-style restaurant in Berlin. Stir-fried pork is spicy with plenty of fresh pepper 👍 I recommend it 💕

Everything from staff to atmosphere and food was honestly perfect. Great portions, good price, amazing flavour and texture, incredible friendly people working there, super authentic... Also got a dessert on the house despite ordering in incredible mediocre Korean hahaha. 잘 먹었습니다. 번창하세요~

By far the best Korean Restaurant in Berlin. We come here every 1-2 weeks since 2016 and the quality of food and service was excellent every single time! It is very authentic and owner & staff are amazing. We always feel very welcome at Maru.

Very tasty Korean :) We spontaneously walked by relatively early and got a seat right outside. But if you come at peak times and don't want to sit outside, we definitely recommend making a reservation. The kimchi omelet as a starter is definitely recommended, the portions are quite large, still with a miso soup on the side, all around good. 👍

Very good Korean restaurant. The service was great, super friendly and quick. The food was very tasty, especially the dumplings. The tiramisu was more of a coffee mousse, but still delicious!

Maru eats with your eyes and with your mouth! The food comes out neatly and each plate is very pretty. Needless to say, my mouth hurts to talk about the taste hahaha. The jjamppong soup is refreshing and the noodles are so delicious. I ordered extra rice, and the sticky rice goes really well with the food. Tofu and meat are also soft and feel-good foods.

It's so, so delicious!!🍚🍲🍜🥘 The japchae that I couldn't take because I was busy eating it was the most delicious!!! Don't worry and just eat it!!!!!!! It's better than the Korean restaurant I ate in Korea and better than my mom's home-cooked food!!!!! The owner was kind and it was a really warm and touching meal🤍🤍

I ate so much that I only have pictures of everything I ate. It's really so delicious♥️♥️🥹 It's a restaurant that even locals come to eat at. Rather than feeling like I should be satisfied with this since I'm overseas, it was a really good restaurant that made me want to eat there in Korea as well😭 I was so happy to find a good restaurant abroad. I was grateful to the boss and other employees for being so kind. I will visit again soon!!!!!

Maru Korean Restaurant exceeded my expectations! Tried N11,12,13,18,34,35 – each dish was a flavorful delight. Paired with Cass beer, the experience was perfect. Highly recommend for authentic Korean cuisine with a diverse menu!

Sehr schönes Lokal mit leckerem Essen und sehr gutem Service. Ein Stern Abzug gibt es, weil es leider ziemlich kalt war.

Honestly this is my favourite Korean Restaurant in the entire city of Berlin. Their menu is really nice, we were two people and we both ordered a few different stuff so that we could try out different foods. Everything tasted amazing. The people working there took really good care of us and they were very polite. The place is clean and the atmosphere is neat. It is also very cozy and a small place. I want to come again!

Korean restaurant in Friedrichshain. Do a reservation if you come in the evening. The "Bul-Go-Gi" was excellent and I loved their spicy sauce they brought apart. Tiger draught beer! Only I was not happy when my friend tried to order dishes a bit different to to his gluten allergie. Staff was not flexible at all with changing dishes a tiny bit

맛도있고 분위기도 좋아서 자주 찾는데, 이번 오배달 대응에 조금 실망했습니다... 잡채랑 제육을 시켰는데 제육이랑 불고기가 왔더군요.. 왠만하면 그냥먹는 성격인데, 파트너가 비건이여서 Wolt에 컴플레인 걸었는데 그럴리 없다는 짧은 대답이 왔더군요... 사진도 첨부해서 보냈는데..

Der Service war nett und das Ambiente schön, leider konnte das Essen aber nicht überzeugen. Es war weder schlecht noch besonders gut. Die bei koreanischen Restaurants üblichen Häppchen bestanden bei unserem Besuch leider nur aus einelegtem gelbem eingelegten Rettich und Wakamesalat. Beides schmeckte leider nicht wie selbst gemacht. Die Hauptgerichte waren ganz okay, aber nicht mehr. Z.B. die Gemüseeinlagen beim Bibimbap bestanden aus Salat und rohem Gemüse, was nicht schlecht schmeckt. Aber die besseren Bibimbap, die ich bisher gegessen haben hatten auch eingelegtes und/oder in Sesamöl gedünstetes Gemüse. Vielleicht sind die anderen Gerichte besser, aber bisher leider nur drei Sterne.

Leider wenig vegetarische Möglichkeiten. Die waren aber lecker!

Wir haben bei Maru Essen zum Mitnehmen bestellt. Das Essen schmeckt super und man bekommt vielfältige Gerichte zu einem tollen Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Das Ambiente im Lokal ist gemütlich und die Mitarbeiter sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.

Wow! Das Essen war richtig gut und authentisch. Aber Vorsicht, wenn da steht "würzig" bedeutet es "du spuckst Feuer" 😅 Geschmacklich wirklich sehr empfehlenswert! Preis-Leistung mehr als TipTop! Wir haben für 2 Hauptgerichte und 3 Getränke 45 Euro bezahlt.

Essen und Service sind normalerweise top. Beim letzten Mal mit Reservierung um 21 Uhr (Schließzeit 23 Uhr) wurden wir mehr oder weniger gehetzt durchs ständige Abräumen alle 2 Minuten und spürbarer Abneigung in der Mimik und Stimme von der Küche (Kellner hatten bereits Feierabend und es war ca. 22:10 Uhr). Ich verstehe, dass es spät ist, aber eine Anmerkung im Voraus und etwas mehr Geduld wären meiner Meinung nach angebracht (22:20 Uhr waren wir aus dem Restaurant). Beide KellnerInnen davor waren sehr nett!

Hat mich sehr positiv überrascht. Alles hat gut und frisch geschmeckt. Der ältere Kellner auch sehr aufmerksam und kinderfreundlich. War sicher nicht das letzte Mal.

Ein spontaner Besuch und glücklicherweise einen Tisch bekommen. Der Service war aufmerksam und freundlich und bemüht, nicht ins stete Touristenenglisch zu verfallen. Wir sind nicht hungrig aufgestanden, allerdings fehlten dem Curry die Schärfe und das eingelegte Rindfleisch war leider trocken und etwas zäh. Schweinebauch und Tofu waren sehr gut.

At the moment the best Korean restaurant I've visited in Berlin. Very friendly staff, delicious dishes, waiters always warn if the food is spicy ( a lot of the dishes), they advise how to eat it, of you are not familiar with it. Would totally recommend to visit

Wir wurden schnell und freundlich bedient und alle Gerichte waren super lecker. Drin ist ein bisschen laut, wenn das Restaurant voll ist, aber ich kann den Ort nur empfehlen. Gerne wieder!

I wanted to order Bulgogi from the children menu, but they refused because they serve this only for children. I hate this kind of earning higher margin on dishes approach. Service was good. Prices are a little bit higher than average in this area. Bulgogi was better than average.

This is a strait up Five :) So tasty, so calm, so exactly what i wanted on this hot Sunday night :) Fried chicken was better then in most places that are know for fried chicken !!! everything else was above the standard i have had in Berlin thus far.

Sehr gemütlich! Ich war sehr überrascht vom Essen! Alles war so schön angerichtet worden und war wirklich köstlich!

Ein sehr stilvoll eingerichtetes Restaurant mit koreanischer Küche, Kimchi, Nudeln, Tofu und was halt so dazu gehört. Einen Minuspunkt gibt es für die Portionsgröße, die leider recht klein ausfällt. Ich bin trotz Vorspeise nicht satt geworden. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und aufmerksam.

Ich esse jajangmyon sehr gern. Hier war es geschmackslos, fleisch war minderwertig und die Soße war zwar dunkel, aber mit Stärke und Wasser massiv gestreckt. Die Kellnerin fragte wie es war, ich sagte ich bin unzufrieden. Habe dabei kaum davon gegessen. Sie hat das Essen mitgenommen und kam nie wieder. Ich wurde mit der vollen Summe belastet! Wäre ich nicht mit einer Gruppe dort hätte ich geweigert zu zahlen. Absolute Frechheit!

Une petite pépite, très bon plats bien présenté dans une jolie vaisselle, service excellent et chaleureux de la prise des commandes jusqu'au paiement. J'y retournerais avec grand plaisir dès que je visiterais à nouveau Berlin !

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant. Ein wenig unscheinbar von außen, aber das Essen ist eine Wucht. Wir hatten zwei Vorspeisen und zwei Hauptgerichte. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und angenehm. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

La comida que pedimos estuvo riquísima y la presentación agradable y cómoda para comer. El chico que nos atendió fue un amor ❤️ muy amable y con sentido del humor. El ambiente no está mal, es normal no tiene nada de especial para mí, por eso le dí un 4 pero cabe mencionar que es un espacio agradable pero la verdad es que para mí es más importante el servicio y la calidad de la comida.

Komme seit Jahren hierher und leider hat es sich nachteilig verändert. Der Preis deutlich höher, dafür beim Bibimbap keine Pilze mehr und auch von den kleinen Beilagen gibt es nur noch die Hälfte. Schade, vielleicht ändert sich das ja wieder!

Kleines und feines Restaurant nettes Personal fantastisches Essen kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.

Sehr gute leckere Koreanische Küche. An der Etageren Vorspeisenplatte mit allen Vorspeisen in kleinen Portionen komme ich so gut wie nie vorbei. Diese ist zum Teilen ideal. Einzelnd sind die Vorspeisen wesentlich größer. Das Koreanische BBQ Chicken ist wirklich lecker. Aber auch die Klassiker Bibimbab und Co. Bin wirklich gerne hier. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Am Wochenende unbedingt vorab reservieren.

Really yummy food. Very close to what you get in Korea, but given the ingredients you have to work with in Germany, obviously there were couple differences in flavour. Otherwise, very yummy. We usually have the store bought magkolli at home, and I was surprised that their magkolli tasted different (a lot better). My assumption was that it’s because they will it in the metal kettle. Was too shy to ask about the brand, but would love if someone could tell me where they get their magkolli from.

The first visit at Maru was astonishing. I loved everything we ordered. The second time unfortunately didn't quite live up to it, but perhaps we just didn't make the right choices. Still, the food was good, and the service was nice and helpful. Makgeolli, the Korean rice wine, is a must!

Was für ein toller Abend im Maru. Wir haben das erste Mal Koreanisch gegessen. Bewusst entschieden wir uns die Vorspeisenvariation auszuwählen und es war ein toller Eindruck. Die Hauptgänge waren ebenso fantastisch. Wenn wir wieder mal nach Berlin kommen, kehren wir dort auch wieder ein.

Eins der Top Restaurants in denen ich je war! Ich habe hier schon einiges auf der Karte probiert und alles davon hat ausnahmslos (!) frisch und sehr lecker geschmeckt! Hier wird traditionelle Küche groß geschrieben! Danke für diesen Genuss!

Service war sehr freundlich! Das Essen an sich war nur befriedigend. Vor allem die Vorspeisen hatten teilweise wenig mit koreanischen essen zu tun. Jedes Gericht hat die Würze gefehlt.

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal da und kommen sicher wieder! Nettes Personal und sehr leckeres Essen! Die Portionen waren auch groß.

Super leckeres Essen, sehr zu empfehlen. Besonders die Vorspeisen-Variation war mega! Immer wieder gerne. Service ist schnell und aufmerksam.
