I have enjoyed coming to the Marine Hof again and again since the 1990s. Be it lunch or coffee and cake – to this day I have never been disappointed! All dishes are prepared with very high quality and regional products. The service team is also consistently friendly - you have to look for a long time in Hamburg's gastronomic scene today. Thank you for existing!

Nice cozy place, friendly staff

We were there with around 35 colleagues. The service is very friendly, the food and drinks are also great. Only the atmosphere on the upper floor could be a little more comfortable.

I've been coming here for 30 years and have never been disappointed. The service, the food, here I get a small but nice menu and there are good regional ingredients. The portion is very good and the price is absolutely okay. The Marienhof has charm, very nice, courteous service, nice ambience, I really like it here. Yesterday we had herring, fried potatoes, Thuringian bratwurst, red cabbage, mashed potatoes and, for dessert, chocolate hazelnut tart. It was delicious. Thank you dear Marinehof team, we look forward to the next time. 😃

Nice restaurant in the middle of the city. Good food at fair prices.

The Marinehof is A1, but 6.00 EURO for a Hefeweizen is really sporty! I'd love to come back, but with a different drink!

It's very nice to sit there outdoors, very friendly and quick service, our food was really tasty and we'll definitely come back when we're in Hamburg❣️

Matjes fillet with a thousand bones and If the Augustiner beer is poorly tapped, it won't work. But it's very nice to sit here, no question about it.

Open until 11 p.m. according to the website. From 8:30 p.m. onwards we were no longer served at the table but had to draw attention to ourselves. Meanwhile, the staff preferred to stay busy with their cell phones behind the counter. At 9:45 p.m., after a long time, someone appeared at our table again and said we could now order the last round - 75 minutes before they officially close. Overall, the service was very reserved and you had the feeling of being a “disturb”. We have been here very often over the years. However, the last visits were just as bad as described above. Unfortunately, the store is now permanently closed for us.

nothing to do with the place opposite. almost all the dishes portrayed in the photos on the page are not actually there, the menu contains a maximum of ten dishes of which more than 3 were not available at the time. as if that wasn't enough, the quality of the food also left something to be desired

By chance I ended up in the Marinehof on August 5th, 2024. The guest garden was full, but I was able to join them at a table. The welcome was very warm, the daily menu also really appealed to me and I chose a tomato and lentil soup and, as the main course, a beetroot from the oven, braised with leek and orange butter, with potato and horseradish puree and cucumber and sour cream dip . I passed the short waiting time with a glass of Alster water. The food was really excellent, the service was quick, warm and courteous.

Consistently good, and has been for years! Lots of outdoor spaces on Fleetinsel, especially in summer. Very interesting and varied daily menu.

Marinehof ofreció comida informal dentro o fuera y nos pareció que reservar no era esencial; compartir una mesa de banco con otros era una opción atractiva. El servicio fue excelente; nuestro personal de camareros, que hablaba un excelente inglés, personificó el tono amable y acogedor del restaurante. Disfrutamos de frittata de maíz, arenques Matjes y strudel de manzana. Todos los platos eran muy sabrosos y generosos. El restaurante estaba continuamente ocupado mientras los clientes iban y venían con frecuencia regular. Reservar mesas también era una opción. Los precios eran bastante razonables. Fue una cena muy agradable.

It was about 5:30 p.m. My girlfriend and I were greeted with baguettes to shorten the waiting time for our main course. "Excellent!" we thought. Unfortunately it was cold and already squishy. Well, at least from the lunch table... A bad foreboding is spreading. “Shouldn’t we have eaten somewhere else?” My girlfriend gets the herring fillet, classic but not enough. I had the pollock fillet with root vegetables and horseradish cream sauce, a reasonable amount for a slim little guy. Clearly not freshly prepared, tasted OK, but not tasty. My girlfriend is disappointed, I am disillusioned. Oh well... Then we go to the magical Harry Potter performance. Really recommended! What was less magical, however, was the diarrhea we both got. My girlfriend before the performance. I only during the break. Luckily we didn't have to miss anything, but it still could have been a better experience... 2 stars!

In zentraler Hamburger Lage ein sympathisches Lokal mit freundlichem Service. Die Karte ist ansprechend, die Qualität auch. Ausgezeichnete Matjes Filets, indische Linsensuppe und Griesflammerie machten Laune. Das Sitzen im Freien an einem lauschigen Platz ebenfalls, und das Augustiner Bier aus München sowieso.

Last week my colleagues and I had dinner at the Marinehof. My colleague reserved a table and emphasized that we wanted to sit outside. He was then called again and asked if we wanted to eat something because the kitchen was closing early (probably because of football). The table was not reserved outside, but inside it was almost 30°C. We then looked for a free table outside and somehow it took a while before we were even noticed. After the drinks came, we also placed our food order. The food came quite quickly, but it was anything but tasty. I had meatloaf and chose fried potatoes instead of mashed potatoes. (Liver cheese from the pan, served with sweet and sour radish, radish and cucumber salad and a puree of heather potatoes - €19.50) By fried potatoes I mean potato slices, with bacon and onions, not fried potatoes cut into cubes. The meat loaf looked like a slice from a discount store, cut in half lengthways in the middle and then cooked in the pan until it died again, or rather in the deep fryer until it was unrecognizable. The salad was really tasty, the idea of ​​sweet and medium hot mustard together reaching wasn't so bad. Another colleague had matjes, also with these strange fried potatoes and housewife sauce. (Dutch matjes “Royal”, double fillet, hand filleted, extra tender, with housewife sauce and fried potatoes - €21.50) There were three (supposedly hand filleted) fillets that were really oily. When asked, they said that it was bought ready-made and that the packaging said it was hand-filleted. The only thing that was said about the fried (roasted) potatoes was that they were always without bacon and onions. I didn't want to ask again about the meat loaf because the service was obviously stinky and unfriendly. At least there was a cappuccino on the house - which was actually on my bill... The guests at the next table, who arrived shortly after we ordered their food (around 4:30 p.m.), were informed that the kitchen was already closed. Conclusion: The food is totally overpriced for this quality, the drinks are also extremely expensive!

We ate here today with 7 colleagues from the company and were all very disappointed with the food here. None of us can understand the many good reviews. The menu alone reads really well, you immediately work up an appetite thanks to the cheap wording. Unfortunately, what is served has little to do with the menu... The risotto looked and tasted like bean stew, the promised pine nuts and coriander were not there. The matjes was probably filleted by someone somewhere, but certainly not in this restaurant. The fish was oily and tasteless. The meat loaf was fried very dark and was already curling up on the sides. The fried potatoes had no bacon or onions, and tasted warmed up, and the curry looked like stew. We were only satisfied with the beer, although the cellar at least responded openly to our expressions of displeasure and gave us a hot drink to make up for it. Conclusion: A nice place for a cold beer in the shade on warm days, but not recommended for eating.

We sat down to have a couple of beers while passing by. The atmosphere and location are very nice. In a quiet and very calm place. The waiters are very attentive. They have a nice bar inside.

A very very nice place! The tables are large and this means that - in typical non-German style - strangers sit down at the same table. The food is very tasty and the composition of the menu always offers a great surprise. I just love being there!

We only had a glass of beer here. But especially when the weather is good, it was enjoyable to sit outside which is located at a lively center. Other than that, staff was kind and friendly. If the weather is not good enough, inside place is a typical German traditional bar/restaurant. Despite only one toilet, it was quiet clean.

Small but fine menu and absolutely fair prices! Suitable for vegetarians, vegans and carnivores to eat together!

Unfortunately I have to give it 1 star. The waitress took us and said it would be coming soon. Well it took 20 minutes despite being noticed. We then got up and left. I guess we didn't need it!!0!

Recommend by our hotel Ruby Lotti very close by and just what we wanted. We sat upstairs and the restaurant was full of atmosphere.

Ungezwungen und quirlig, authentische Küche, freundlicher Service.

Mir ist es da zu laut, die Akustik ist durch den hohen Raum mit der Galerie etwas bahnhofsmässig. Es macht sonst einen guten Eindruck in dem schönen Eckhaus. Essen ist okay, aber nichts Besonderes.

Ideal para finalizar la jornada tomando cervezas. Después de varios días, al final decidimos cenar en el local. La comida es abundante y bien cocinada con varios extras fuera de carta muy interesantes. En especial la crema de calabaza, la lasaña de verduras y el cerdo asado. Los camareros son muy amables y el ambiente es extraordinario para ir con amigos.

Gute Essen, nettes Ambiente ! Leider war es sehr kalt; Grund sind wohl die älteren Fenster.....auf jeden Fall ist der Marienhof weiterzuempfehlen....

Unsere Enkelin hat sich im Taxi übergeben, nachdem sie dort Milchreis gegessen hat. Anschließend ging’s ihr wieder besser.

Ambiente hat etwas von einer Bahnhofshalle. Das Personal ist bemüht und aufmerksam. Die Speisenkarte ist klein aber für jeden Geschmack ist etwas dabei. Hochwertige Zutaten und Preis / Leistung stimmt.

Hier kann man immer gut eine Kleinigkeit essen und wird freundlich bedient.

Klassiker in Hamburg auf der Fleetinsel. Dicht zur City, viele Galerien im Umfeld. Tipp!

Volkstümliche Gaststätte mitten im Zentrum in einem alten Gebäude. Erwartet man nicht auf der Fleetinsel. Empfehlenswert.

Dejligt lokalt sted med meget velsmagende mad og sød betjening. Vi kommer gerne igen.

Ich gehe so oft essen im Marinehof, da stimmt einfach alles. Bodenständige Küche, immer Überraschungen auf der Karte. Freundlicher Service und Augustiner Bier vom Fass.

Super Restaurant mit kleiner aber feiner Karte. Die Matjesfilets mit Hausfrauensauce und das Chili con Carne mit Reis und Guacamole waren super. Der Service war freundlich und schnell. Beim Ambiente waren wir uns nicht ganz einig: Mir hat die schlichte Ausstattung ohne viel Schnickschnack gefallen, meiner Begleitung war es etwas zu kahl.

Udmærket mad uden de store dikkedarer, venlig betjening. Menuen byder på lidt af hvert og der tages imod kreditkort ved ordrer over 30 euros.

Sehr freundliches, sauberes Restaurant. Zum Espresso, ein Glas Wasser. (Kostenlos). Der Prosecco gut gefüllt.

Not very welcoming to non german speakers

Modernes Reststaurant ueber 2 Ebenen. Kaum Gerichte auf der Speisekarte , die mir zusagten. Die Spaghetti waren sehr geschmacksneutral. Zudem im Aushang eine Speisekarte ,die von der Speisekarte im Lokal abwich , und das ausgerechnet mit einem Gericht, das mir mehr zugesagt haette. Linie Aquavit wurde stiellos im Schnapsglas serviert.

Bester Service und lecker Essen!

Zufällig in Hotel Nähe gefunden, Tageskarte mit ausreichend verschiedenen Gerichten. Brot mit selbstgemachtem leckerem Dip wird kostenlos geboten. Wir haben uns für das Hühner Frikassee entschieden und es war ein Gedicht. Genau auf den Punkt gekocht. Super freundliche Bedienungen. Da kommen wir gerne wieder beim nächsten Hamburg Besuch.

Atmosphäre ganz nice, haben auch mal kurz vor Zapfenstreich nur 4 Bier erhalten. Die Pasta Salsiccia für 16€+ war jedoch das schlechteste, was ich je gegessen hab… daher jeweils 1 Pkt für Location und Bier… der Rest war einfach nicht gut

This is a clear case when the restaurant is underrated! The service is very good, the beer (Augustiner and Tagernsee) is great, the food is surprisingly delicious! Tried the herring (matjes) and the pulled beef - both outstanding! The rhubarb-raspberry cake exceptional!

We came here early and there were still seats available. Ordered the currywurst and beef with potato. My currywurst was the best I had especially with the salad and roasted potato. Service was friendly and price reasonable. Highly recommended!

Seit vielen Jahren sind wir Gäste im Marinehof. Eine Leine Karte , auf der man immer etwas findet. Unser Favorit ist häufig der Matjes, so wie er schmecken soll. Im Sommer sitzt man nett auf Bänken mit Blick, netter Trubel um ein herum. Das Personal überdurchschnittlich freundlich und aufmerksam und das über die Jahre. Die Preise sind moderat und amgemessen, also klare Empfehlung von uns.

Der Marinehof ist jederzeit eine Empfehlung. Egal ob für ein Mittag- oder Abendessen. Und ganz wichtig, alle sind willkommen. Egal ob mit Kinderwagen, in den Fahrradklamotten, im Businessanzug oder mit dem Rollator, irgendwie hat alles seinen Platz. Und an den grossen Tischen ist eh Kommunikation angesagt. Was will man mehr - Gute Küche und sich Wohlfühlen.

I had two meals at this restaurant. Both of them memorable experiences. The first time I was solo, the server spoke broken English and I spoke no German, but he recommended Seelachsfilet aus der Pfanne, angerichtet mit Radicchio-Chicoree-Risotto und ‚Salsa Verde’ that was delicious, he was so friendly and helpful, that when my friends wanted to go to dinner I suggested we go here. Once again the service was fantastic (different server) and I had Dal “ (Indisches Linsengericht), angerichtet mit Joghurtdip, gerösteten Mandeln, Gurken, frischem Koriander und Basmatireis that was amazing.

Kürbis-Spinat-Lasagne mit Gorgonzola und Ricotta gebacken.... einfach köstlich. Kleines, aber nettes Lokal mit freundlichem Service und moderaten Preisen. Gerne wieder!

Nach einem Konzert im Michel machten wir uns auf die Suche nach einem Restaurant zum Abendessen. Zufällig stießen wir auf den Marinehof. Zentral und gleichzeitig ruhig gelegen, bietet das Restaurant eine interessante Speisekarte. Vor allen Dingen die Weinkarte fanden wir für ein kleines Kneipenrestaurant überraschend gut und auch sehr preisgünstig. Das Essen war lecker, die Stimmung war locker. Wir haben uns gut aufgehoben gefühlt und sind zufrieden zurück ins Hotel gegangen. Im Sommer ist es sicherlich sehr schön, das Essen und den Wein draußen auf dem Platz zu genießen.

Das Ambiente ist etwas kühl - die Einrichtung einfach gehalten. Der Service ist schnell und gut. Das Essen sieht optisch gut aus und schmeckt. Die Preise sind angemessen. Das Restaurant eignet sich für Gruppen. Die Getränkeauswahl läßt keine Wünsche offen.

...in dem sich ein Besuch auf jeden Fall lohnt. Das Publikum ist gut gemischt. Die Einrichtung erinnert an eine Industrieliegenschaft und ist liebevoll gepflegt. Das Essen ist sehr zu empfehlen, der Service sehr angenehm. EIn Besuch hier lohnt sich immer. Die Preise sind eher hoch aber dennoch angemessen.

Great place to people watch. The bench seating provides an easy opportunity to converse with others. Menu in German, but we could puzzle out much - and our server enthusiastically translated the rest for us (there area modest but reasonable number of options). The food is good - nothing especially memorable, butI doubt you'd be disappointed. Good German beer.

Wir sind während eines Stadtbummels durch Hamburg im Marinehof gestrandet und wurden mit leckeren Köstlichkeiten verwöhnt. Außerdem gab es gutes bayersiches Bier, was uns als Bayern natürlich sehr freute. Alles Speisen waren frisch zubereitet und kamen schnell an den Platz, obwohl in der Mittagspause viel los war. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.
