Mango am Ring in Köln

A beautiful location with a direct view of Cologne Cathedral – worth the visit for that alone! The food was delicious and arrived quickly. The drinks were not only well-mixed but also surprisingly affordable. A particularly positive aspect: the restrooms were clean and well-maintained – something you can't expect everywhere. All in all, a successful evening; we'll definitely be back!

We just ordered drinks for aperitif. They were pretty good.

We were here for CSD. We got many delicious cocktails to go for the parade, and then we went inside to get some food and get dry. The food was served quite quickly. I thought my pasta was only alright, but the others seemed happy with the pizza.

Prices were okay. The waitress was very distracted. She didn't write down orders and ordered drinks for another table, which caused confusion when paying. They also wanted €1 for using the restroom, even if you were a paying guest.

We went there for cocktails. It was a lot of fun. The cocktails were great. The prices are also perfectly reasonable, between €8.90 and €11.90 per cocktail. The staff was also super friendly, and the drinks arrived at our tables without a long wait.

We've been to this restaurant several times and have always been satisfied – even during the World Cup, it was better organized. Unfortunately, our last visit was the complete opposite. First, our food didn't arrive at the same time. Then I was served the wrong dish. I immediately said it wasn't mine – I had even seen the other guests' dishes beforehand. Nevertheless, I was asked if I wanted it anyway. Later, it turned out that the table next to me had simply taken my food. Sure, such mistakes can happen – but in this case, as a guest, you should have been able to tell that it wasn't your own dish. My friend ordered pizza rolls with her salad and had to ask for them at least five times before she finally got them. The yogurt dip, which she also wanted, also only arrived after two or three requests – and, curiously, before the pizza rolls, even though they're supposed to be included as standard. During the meal, we were constantly asked if our plates could be cleared – which was really stressful. Then they even charged us for part of our order separately, before we'd even finished. In the end, two of our cards apparently didn't work, and we were asked to pay in cash. Immediately afterward, we tested it in the parking garage – the card worked without any problems. Very strange. We really hope that next time things will be the same as they were in the past – calm, friendly, and well-organized. This time, unfortunately, it was just chaotic. 3 stars because it's never like this.

I had a truly wonderful visit to Mango am Ring! The ambiance is very inviting and cozy, perfect for a relaxing evening with friends or family. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. The menu offers a wide selection of delicious dishes, all freshly prepared and tasted excellent. I was particularly impressed by the cocktails – creative and perfectly mixed. The prices are also fair, and the value for money is absolutely excellent. I can recommend Mango am Ring to anyone looking for a relaxed atmosphere with good food and great service in Cologne. I'll definitely be back! :)

On Saturday, we watched the Champions League match at 9 p.m. at Mango am Ring and were thrilled. The atmosphere was super relaxed, and the staff was friendly and attentive. It was especially nice that the game was broadcast on several screens, so everyone had a good view. The selection of food and cocktails was top-notch, as always, and the atmosphere in the shop was simply fantastic. Mango am Ring is highly recommended for football nights with friends :)!

I can only recommend this restaurant, excellent pizza, I have never eaten better, Caesar salad was unsurpassable, very good and enough for 2. The tortellini were perfect and tasted great. I will go here more often, the price-performance ratio is great and the service was very friendly, helpful and gave us the best advice... A great restaurant if you want to eat well and tasty, with a view of the two cathedral towers... Absolutely recommended!

I didn't eat there, so I can't comment on it. But charging €12.80 for a cheap gin and tonic? Are you crazy? Mind you: the same price as my companion's cocktail. Absolute rip-off. There is also a shop with over 100 seats and no card payment. Very strange these days. The wait staff was nice, but asking every 15 minutes if “everything was okay” almost bordered on intrusive. Never again.

I ate there on a quiet Tuesday afternoon. I had a signature Caesar salad and a large bottle of water. The bottle of water was supposed to be sparkling, which it said it wasn't, but the seal wasn't broken, so I assume it was a faulty bottle. It was returned without any fuss, and I received a new one. Thanks to the very friendly and accommodating service. The salad was good, though I personally felt it had a little too little Parmesan, but since it wasn't an original Caesar salad, it was perfectly fine. A colorful salad mix, radishes, corn, tomatoes, cucumbers, and crispy fried chicken that was still juicy. It was accompanied by pizza bread, which was more like a pizza without cheese, but tasted absolutely top-notch. The ambiance was pleasant and the seating comfortable. Overall, I was completely satisfied with the price and value for money. The only criticism, for me personally, is that the portion was a bit too large.

DONT GO THERE!!!THE WORST PLACE I’ve ever been in my entire life. The food was horrible, it tasted so bad and also it was cold. Even the burgers in the supermarket taste better. The custom service was catastrophic. Very rude and unfriendly staff!We were pressured to buy drinks from the waitress all the time. She forced us to tip her with asking as if we wanted the change. We felt very uncomfortable and when we gave her the tip she told us I don’t need it because she e expected more.Avoid this place at all cost!!!!

If i have the chance to put 0 stars i will put minus 1!! Got in this place tonight to watch the match and we were 6 people. Got some assistance for out table on door step wich is warm and welcoming. Got im table and we make our order, first the waiter look like he have any connections with the hospitality and probably he doesn't know how to do his job and he were there like someone who was walking outside and he get a change to introduce himself to the service area. Food was disaster and very bad, french frise serve cold and not properly cooked, don't ask for ketchup and mayo because you will get some sachet wich they charge which is ridiculous. Been in hospitality industry for years and never heard for charging the customer for ketchup and mayo. To finish like cherry on top of cake after we paid the bill waiter demand to leave with her the changing amount which we refused, we try to leave some tip wich she said thank you but i don't need it.

My friends and I were there and wanted to watch football, but we had to leave after a while because another larger group was preferred. Above all, we were not told in advance that the table was reserved. I think it's so cheap how the store treats its customers. Wouldn't recommend the store to anyone.

The food was okay, way too expensive for a tacco that was lukewarm. The service was annoying, every few minutes someone came and asked if we were satisfied or if we would like to order something. The ambience was nothing special and it was very poorly attended.

A pure disaster..Service really unfriendly can't even say thank you or please or when the food comes the waitress can't even say bon appetit..I wanted to order an espresso at 9 p.m. even though it's open until 1 a.m. and the coffee machine was said to be there It's already been cleaned. The lady who works here (blond hair tied back) prefers to have a smoke before taking the order instead of looking after the guests! And it's not normal for me that you only pay in cash in a restaurant can! Never again

The food doesn't correspond to what they write on the menu and doesn't taste particularly good either. There was a small piece of metal in the food itself, but at least you got a shot on the house.

First the good, the cocktails. These arrived quickly and the prices were okay for Cologne standards. But the service was super bad. You were asked every 2 minutes if you wanted to order something else, even though you had just received the cocktails. We were there in a large group (7 people) and had a higher bill than we wanted to pay. We were told that it was only possible in cash and the service became very unfriendly when we said that we didn't have that much cash with us some would have to go to a vending machine.

The drinks were good. The blonde waitress from Friday didn't work at all. She often asked us to drink more and stronger alcohol. When I ordered something non-alcoholic, she started arguing and making fun of me. Later there were several more comments from her. In the end it was only possible to pay in cash and since she didn't have any change, she said: "That's right, right?" Rarely have we experienced something so cheeky and unprofessional, we will certainly never go to Mango again.

Food great, service very good, but dude, there were 4 of us there and we ordered fries with the schnitzel as a side dish and a total of 4x mayonnaise and 4x ketchup and got these small tubes and paid €1.20 each so €9.60 for 🤯 5 .50€ for a cola is also steep.

The worst place I’ve been to in Köln. We spent over 80euros there and we were pressured to keep ordering drinks which tasted like water, then after a while they came and lied that our table has been reserved and we should go,they didn’t tell us this when we first got in.Totally rude waiters and their boss was also in on this I’ve read other reviews here which says the same. Racist place if you're black or asian, please go somewhere else.

Maybe I had a bad day locally but the experience was pretty bad. We reserved a table for 20 people by phone, I don't know if one of our email addresses was also passed on as is required for online table reservations. In the meantime, one of us called again and, with our consent, moved the time forward by 1 hour to 6 p.m. so that we could watch the football game in the evening at the same time. Now the evening comes and when we arrived we received the news that our reservation had been canceled. Stupid, with 20 people you can't spontaneously find anything, especially at a football game. When we spoke to a lady in charge, she informed us that they had tried to reach us to confirm the reservation, mind you on the same day of the reservation, at a time when we unfortunately had to work. But okay, that's the way it is, if we didn't answer it you can ultimately call it personal bad luck. Even though I personally find it a little strange to only confirm the reservation on the same day in the morning, I don't work in the catering industry so I don't know if that's normal. Here it was more the tone in which we were spoken to that annoyed me. In the same breath, however, they tried to tell us that we hadn't called at all to move the time forward. Funny, because we were immediately greeted with "You're the one with the reservation for 20 people at 6 p.m., right? So here's the thing..." (No direct quote, but both features were clearly mentioned). To be honest, I found that quite cheeky, since we were just trying to find a solution civilly, because we were standing there with almost 20 people (illness and football prevented one or two from coming) and wanted to know whether we could It's best to just go home now. In the end, we were lucky again and there was still enough space outside (of course where no public viewing was possible, which makes sense but is still a bit stupid) that we didn't have to drive home again. As compensation we got a round of shots, nice gesture, I won't say anything else. Everyone then ordered drinks and food, the waiting time was completely understandable, as it takes time to do everything due to the game and around 20 people. However, the food wasn't particularly good. I had a plain pizza that was slightly burnt on the bottom and probably wouldn't have tasted like anything without the burn. The ambience wasn't particularly good on the side of the road either. Unfortunately, it was difficult to understand what the person next to you was saying, even without the noise of the football viewers. The service itself was okay, here too there were longer waiting times and the occasional being overlooked, which was understandable. So generally a little overwhelmed. However, we weren't all finished with our food, some of us hadn't even had it yet, when we were already asked to pay. There was no explanation, only the statement that we could order more afterwards. But only then did the statements come that no card payment was possible. Yes, where do we get the money now? Almost all of us didn't want to pay in cash and these days, especially in the city, it's a given that you can pay by card as long as you don't say otherwise. So a few of us trekked to the nearest ATM, even though some of them hadn't finished the food we ordered, while the others stayed seated. So to put it briefly: We actually just wanted a nice evening, but we didn't really manage to have it here.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Rarely, or never before, have I been greeted with such hostility in a bar. We, two young, nice girls, unsuspectingly wanted to join our friends to celebrate a birthday, but it quickly became clear that we were not welcome. We were not served and were denied a seat. When we wanted to order something while standing, we were told that we should leave. We were reminded of the house rules, but instead of making use of this, they tried to drive us out of the restaurant with lies that the tables were reserved, after several drinks had already been ordered. In the end we were allowed to order two drinks, but had to pay for them immediately. Since I didn't have any cash, we both wanted to quickly go to the bank two meters away to withdraw money (I assumed that card payments would be possible in such a place, especially since all the waiters were obviously carrying card readers); the waitress only allowed one of us to leave and forced the other to stay there for fear we would just leave? Every two minutes afterwards we were harassed to order more drinks. Politeness seems to be a foreign word here, although we really didn't come with any bad intentions. Unfortunately, a nice evening watching the European Championship final turned into a flop. :( Nothing like this has ever happened to me, I worked in the catering industry myself and have a lot of friends in the catering industry, and for me this has nothing to do with service. If you don't like contact with people, you should look for another job. That's it I said that we are obviously not of German origin (visually; we were all born here). I don't want to accuse anyone of racism, but no other guests were treated like that. P.S.: the drinks were overpriced and didn't taste good

I wanted to join my friends here and watch the European Championship final, but unfortunately it was a total disaster! We were refused chairs, didn't take our order until we went and ordered it ourselves and then we had to pay straight away. When we couldn't do the bar, she forced one of us to wait while the other walked two meters further to the bench...I've never experienced such distrust and disrespect. It's a shame that people think you no longer have to be friendly to customers just because you have a shop on the rings that runs smoothly, even if you scare away a paying group of 10 people because they don't order enough for you. Even if you weren't even given the opportunity. Waitress was rude to no end, but if the boss supports this systematic exclusion, it's no wonder Never again!!

To put it briefly, the service is unfriendly and unprofessional. If you look at the reviews here, this doesn't seem to be an isolated case. You won't be greeted nicely, you'll be treated stupidly if you don't order straight away, but you'll also be treated unfriendly if you do want to order something. Places are allocated here seemingly at random. Avoid this store if you value human respect and decency.

I came quite normally and was immediately pressured into ordering something. I just wanted to have a relaxed birthday evening, but that was pretty much spoiled for me by the service and the ambience. I have rarely witnessed such disrespectful treatment of guests - what I experienced here today is truly unbelievable. We were even lied to that the tables had supposedly been reserved to scare us away, but this wasn't the case. Among other things, we were pressured to order new drinks even though we hadn't finished our old ones yet. We were confused several times because different waiters were responsible for our table and we had to explain more than twice how and which orders we had already placed. I really hope the staff learns how to properly treat guests with respect. There was absolutely no mention of the motto “Guest is King” here. It was absolutely brilliant that I had to end my birthday evening like this and even had to miss the first half of the European Championship final due to the constant stress. That's really a pity. That was definitely the last time I was here. To the guests, please think carefully next time whether you want to spend your evening here in this very unfriendly place. PS: I wasn't aware of having to pay after every order in the restaurant, which for me is also a sign of disrespect. The worst beer I've ever drunk. The prices online are now all €4 more expensive. You don't taste alcohol in a single cocktail and €11 is the biggest outrage. This is supposed to be a Long Island and only tastes like lemon syrup. Can't even put it into words

The dude serving us was outright rude. Rushing us to hurry up to order Drinks were okay, not great for the price, but I had worse. The atmosphere would have been okay, even with the music being a bit too loud, but the waiter made us feel not welcome.

The waiter simply took the half-full beer glass away without asking and without checking the level again. When I objected to this, he simply replied that as a client I had no right to do that and that no one else would do it. The boss came over and offered me a replacement beer. He disappeared at the counter and I watched him. I noticed how he simply poured stale beer into a new glass. It wasn't freshly tapped. When he brought it to me, I confronted him about it and he remained silent and disappeared. Not good service.

The best bar on the Rings! The cocktails are very tasty and you can get a table pretty quickly 🙌 The staff is also very nice. I can only recommend it 🤌✨
