Mango am Ring in Köln

I've never had such friendly service. The cocktails were really delicious and we particularly enjoyed the homemade schnapps “Schleckster”. I was thrilled. LG from Lüneburg

Cocktail bar and restaurant in one and both very well combined. You can also have a good and inexpensive lunch here. The service is very friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is inviting and the location is perfect, in the middle of the party mile on the Ring.

Good drinks, okay price, card payment was possible, but if you drink for 30 euros and then have to pay another euro for the toilet, that's a little untypical for a bar.

The drinks were good. The blonde waitress from Friday didn't work at all. She often asked us to drink more and stronger alcohol. When I ordered something non-alcoholic, she started arguing and making fun of me. Later there were several more comments from her. In the end it was only possible to pay in cash and since she didn't have any change, she said: "That's right, right?" Rarely have we experienced something so cheeky and unprofessional, we will certainly never go to Mango again.

Food and cocktails taste very good (as it should be given the prices. Ambiance is also good!

Food great, service very good, but dude, there were 4 of us there and we ordered fries with the schnitzel as a side dish and a total of 4x mayonnaise and 4x ketchup and got these small tubes and paid €1.20 each so €9.60 for 🤯 5 .50€ for a cola is also steep.

The worst place I’ve been to in Köln. We spent over 80euros there and we were pressured to keep ordering drinks which tasted like water, then after a while they came and lied that our table has been reserved and we should go,they didn’t tell us this when we first got in.Totally rude waiters and their boss was also in on this I’ve read other reviews here which says the same. Racist place if you're black or asian, please go somewhere else.

Always a safe choice for going out, Veggie Burger and sweet potato fries never disappoint. Cocktails could have higher alcohol percentage but they are still nice.

The cocktail was totally watery, when I spoke to the waitress, a slightly larger lady came and was rude and said that I don't know anything about cocktails, so I don't have to listen to that, they don't seem to understand anything about service at Mango am Ring.

Maybe I had a bad day locally but the experience was pretty bad. We reserved a table for 20 people by phone, I don't know if one of our email addresses was also passed on as is required for online table reservations. In the meantime, one of us called again and, with our consent, moved the time forward by 1 hour to 6 p.m. so that we could watch the football game in the evening at the same time. Now the evening comes and when we arrived we received the news that our reservation had been canceled. Stupid, with 20 people you can't spontaneously find anything, especially at a football game. When we spoke to a lady in charge, she informed us that they had tried to reach us to confirm the reservation, mind you on the same day of the reservation, at a time when we unfortunately had to work. But okay, that's the way it is, if we didn't answer it you can ultimately call it personal bad luck. Even though I personally find it a little strange to only confirm the reservation on the same day in the morning, I don't work in the catering industry so I don't know if that's normal. Here it was more the tone in which we were spoken to that annoyed me. In the same breath, however, they tried to tell us that we hadn't called at all to move the time forward. Funny, because we were immediately greeted with "You're the one with the reservation for 20 people at 6 p.m., right? So here's the thing..." (No direct quote, but both features were clearly mentioned). To be honest, I found that quite cheeky, since we were just trying to find a solution civilly, because we were standing there with almost 20 people (illness and football prevented one or two from coming) and wanted to know whether we could It's best to just go home now. In the end, we were lucky again and there was still enough space outside (of course where no public viewing was possible, which makes sense but is still a bit stupid) that we didn't have to drive home again. As compensation we got a round of shots, nice gesture, I won't say anything else. Everyone then ordered drinks and food, the waiting time was completely understandable, as it takes time to do everything due to the game and around 20 people. However, the food wasn't particularly good. I had a plain pizza that was slightly burnt on the bottom and probably wouldn't have tasted like anything without the burn. The ambience wasn't particularly good on the side of the road either. Unfortunately, it was difficult to understand what the person next to you was saying, even without the noise of the football viewers. The service itself was okay, here too there were longer waiting times and the occasional being overlooked, which was understandable. So generally a little overwhelmed. However, we weren't all finished with our food, some of us hadn't even had it yet, when we were already asked to pay. There was no explanation, only the statement that we could order more afterwards. But only then did the statements come that no card payment was possible. Yes, where do we get the money now? Almost all of us didn't want to pay in cash and these days, especially in the city, it's a given that you can pay by card as long as you don't say otherwise. So a few of us trekked to the nearest ATM, even though some of them hadn't finished the food we ordered, while the others stayed seated. So to put it briefly: We actually just wanted a nice evening, but we didn't really manage to have it here.

I'm now a regular there. Friendly service, delicious cocktails, delicious food. Also perfect if you want to drink a few cocktails and have something to eat/snack. My number 1!

To put it briefly, the service is unfriendly and unprofessional. If you look at the reviews here, this doesn't seem to be an isolated case. You won't be greeted nicely, you'll be treated stupidly if you don't order straight away, but you'll also be treated unfriendly if you do want to order something. Places are allocated here seemingly at random. Avoid this store if you value human respect and decency.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Rarely, or never before, have I been greeted with such hostility in a bar. We, two young, nice girls, unsuspectingly wanted to join our friends to celebrate a birthday, but it quickly became clear that we were not welcome. We were not served and were denied a seat. When we wanted to order something while standing, we were told that we should leave. We were reminded of the house rules, but instead of making use of this, they tried to drive us out of the restaurant with lies that the tables were reserved, after several drinks had already been ordered. In the end we were allowed to order two drinks, but had to pay for them immediately. Since I didn't have any cash, we both wanted to quickly go to the bank two meters away to withdraw money (I assumed that card payments would be possible in such a place, especially since all the waiters were obviously carrying card readers); the waitress only allowed one of us to leave and forced the other to stay there for fear we would just leave? Every two minutes afterwards we were harassed to order more drinks. Politeness seems to be a foreign word here, although we really didn't come with any bad intentions. Unfortunately, a nice evening watching the European Championship final turned into a flop. :( Nothing like this has ever happened to me, I worked in the catering industry myself and have a lot of friends in the catering industry, and for me this has nothing to do with service. If you don't like contact with people, you should look for another job. That's it I said that we are obviously not of German origin (visually; we were all born here). I don't want to accuse anyone of racism, but no other guests were treated like that. P.S.: the drinks were overpriced and didn't taste good

I came quite normally and was immediately pressured into ordering something. I just wanted to have a relaxed birthday evening, but that was pretty much spoiled for me by the service and the ambience. I have rarely witnessed such disrespectful treatment of guests - what I experienced here today is truly unbelievable. We were even lied to that the tables had supposedly been reserved to scare us away, but this wasn't the case. Among other things, we were pressured to order new drinks even though we hadn't finished our old ones yet. We were confused several times because different waiters were responsible for our table and we had to explain more than twice how and which orders we had already placed. I really hope the staff learns how to properly treat guests with respect. There was absolutely no mention of the motto “Guest is King” here. It was absolutely brilliant that I had to end my birthday evening like this and even had to miss the first half of the European Championship final due to the constant stress. That's really a pity. That was definitely the last time I was here. To the guests, please think carefully next time whether you want to spend your evening here in this very unfriendly place. PS: I wasn't aware of having to pay after every order in the restaurant, which for me is also a sign of disrespect. In addition, card payment was cheekily refused even though the card reader was clearly visible on the waitress's apron. Have a nice evening and stay safe👍🏾

I wanted to join my friends here and watch the European Championship final, but unfortunately it was a total disaster! We were refused chairs, didn't take our order until we went and ordered it ourselves and then we had to pay straight away. When we couldn't do the bar, she forced one of us to wait while the other walked two meters further to the bench...I've never experienced such distrust and disrespect. It's a shame that people think you no longer have to be friendly to customers just because you have a shop on the rings that runs smoothly, even if you scare away a paying group of 10 people because they don't order enough for you. Even if you weren't even given the opportunity. Waitress was rude to no end, but if the boss supports this systematic exclusion, it's no wonder Never again!!

The worst beer I've ever drunk. The prices online are now all €4 more expensive. You don't taste alcohol in a single cocktail and €11 is the biggest outrage. This is supposed to be a Long Island and only tastes like lemon syrup. Can't even put it into words

The dude serving us was outright rude. Rushing us to hurry up to order Drinks were okay, not great for the price, but I had worse. The atmosphere would have been okay, even with the music being a bit too loud, but the waiter made us feel not welcome.

We had Mexican food. Delicious. They also offer happy hour until 4 p.m. Pizza and pasta are very cheap

The waiter simply took the half-full beer glass away without asking and without checking the level again. When I objected to this, he simply replied that as a client I had no right to do that and that no one else would do it. The boss came over and offered me a replacement beer. He disappeared at the counter and I watched him. I noticed how he simply poured stale beer into a new glass. It wasn't freshly tapped. When he brought it to me, I confronted him about it and he remained silent and disappeared. Not good service.

The best bar on the Rings! The cocktails are very tasty and you can get a table pretty quickly 🙌 The staff is also very nice. I can only recommend it 🤌✨

Horrible food even worse customer service. Horribly overpriced, took too long, food was cold. Wouldn't let us pay and leave even though we tried to get the hell out of there. Pizza was trash, worse than Kraft freezer pizza, nachos were Doritos with a tablespoon of cheese. I'd give it negative stars if I could. A pack of Ketchup was more than the beer.

My sister and I were spontaneously in Cologne and chose the Mango Restaurant for dinner. The meal was okay. The only thing that really doesn't work is the price of a cola, €5.50 for 0.33L, is already unreasonable. For that price you can buy 4/5 bottles of 1 liter cola, which should urgently be changed.

Service was quite good, nice staff. Not much of it, sometimes you had to wait quite a long time. Ambiance is okay, you sit outside close to the street, but cool carts come by every now and then. The toilet man was a bit annoying and I found it cheeky that you had to pay.

Hello everyone, The Mango bar is a very simple bar that has a lot of knowledge about cocktails and service. Accordingly, it is highly recommended. NONETHELESS! The DJ or whoever plays the music there is really super bad. I've never had such bad music or transitions, as a song only plays for 30 seconds and then another song is turned on depending on your preference. Such an unpleasant atmosphere is really out of place for me and therefore I won't go to this bar again.

Location was quite okay. No card payment possible but was only informed when the drinks were brought. The cocktails hardly contained any alcohol.

Mango has a very nice waitress Anisa. She makes very tasty cocktails and is always very friendly to her guests!

Were there at lunchtime during the week and it was the only table occupied. The food came quickly and was delicious. Unfortunately, the waitress always had an earpiece in his ear and seemed to be on the phone constantly, even while serving, which gave us the feeling that we didn't have priority here.

Service nice, ambience OK. But the food is not recommended! For around €25 you would expect a different quality and larger steak. Watery pepper cream sauce, wet potatoes from the sauce and overpriced mojitos (€10.40?) are the icing on the cake.

It was a great place to hang out with friends. Variety of Mocktails and Cocktails are available. The only downside is they only accept cash payments.

The food was good. I had a pizza with mushrooms and a side salad. Everything was fresh and tasted good. My companion's fried potatoes looked more like potato salad. But it was probably still good. The lunch specials in particular are highly recommended in terms of price. Perfect for grabbing something to eat in the middle of the city after a stroll or before going to the cinema.

Harassment by an employee in front of the bar. Despite the warning from the police, he came back and insulted us in the worst possible way. He also knocked the cell phone out of my hand. A criminal complaint was filed.

Staff very friendly. Even though we were there with a larger group, we didn't have to wait long for our food. Our food was very good. Had a baked potato with chicken and cream chamomile sauce and salad. My mother champion Rahm Schnitzel. It was tasty but the meat was a bit dry. That was the only complaint.

Whole organizing team is into organized deal. 5/6 Jackets were stollen from inside the bar and bouncer on the door says I haven’t seen anything. If they can’t manage it why you keep an event like that. ABSOLUTE CHEAP AND SHADED PLACE. All valuables were lost from everyone including costly jackets. Highly NOT recommended place to be visited. NO GO FOR THIS PLACE.

Danger!!! There were two dead flies in my glass. The third was already in my stomach. After we described this problem to the smaller waitress, she just said I wasn't making the drinks and wanted to brush us off.

Positive: The dishes have remained consistently good and solid for years. Service is (partly) very friendly. Negative: Anyone who has been going here for years will quickly notice how much the portions have shrunk. Ä In summary, you can satisfy your hunger really quickly here in the middle of the city for a reasonable price. It is rather loud and not suitable for a long, relaxing evening.
