We ate at Mama's today. Everything was excellent. The atmosphere was calm and pleasant. The appetizer, main course, and dessert were all of very high quality and delicious. Our server was a lovely, friendly, and patient girl named Lisa. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors.

Perhaps I'm spoiled by wood-fired pizza, but the pizza dough was so bland, lacking in salt, neither crispy, airy, nor golden brown, and the crust hadn't risen. The toppings were okay. The very friendly waitresses were somewhat uninspired – they only interrupted their presumably important conversation to come to our table in the otherwise rather empty restaurant when we called out. The wine was uncorked without removing the foil and then simply placed on the table. I don't expect any fuss with the bottle and cork, but one should be able to expect it to be properly uncorked (preferably at the table) and poured. That the espresso costs €3.50, like a latte macchiato elsewhere, is probably due to the Wellingsbüttel location.

Absolutely delicious! We came all the way from Freiburg to eat here. We'd love to come back. Great service, very helpful staff.

I chose this restaurant to enjoy a harmonious family evening with my family, including our baby… we felt just like the family in the large painting on the wall… it was simply wonderful… pure joy of life… and you can dine there with children without any worries… the food was simply delicious and they catered to all our special requests… praise also to the chef, the staff, and especially to Shamim, who served us very kindly… We will be back.

Greetings from Wellingsbüttel! Anyone who hasn't been here yet should definitely go. The food is delicious, and we highly recommend the vegan bowls. The homemade lemonade is absolutely delicious. The dessert is divine. Oh, and the service is impeccable and always comes with a smile. I'll definitely be back.

Solid Italian cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere, part of a small chain. The service was very friendly, attentive, and prompt. The food was consistently delicious: We had spaghetti Bolognese, a fresh mixed salad, and pasta with Gorgonzola and pumpkin – all well-seasoned and beautifully presented. It's not a culinary adventure, but it's reliable, delicious, and pleasantly run.

I ordered spaghetti aglio e olio with scampi to go today! What I got was a real disgrace! The food was swimming in oily pasta water, a whole 5 scampi, and the food tasted of nothing, inedible, and then I charged €15.80 for it! On top of that, the waiter couldn't even manage to bill me. I gave him €20 and said €17, and he gave me €6 back. And I, the honest soul, still say that's too much! In retrospect, with the food I've got here, I should have added more! Can't be true! That was the last time!

My highlight there is the super friendly staff and the beautiful terrace. The pizza is delicious, but given the variety of options in the city, it's almost below average. A good pizza thrives on a great sun-ripened tomato and excellent ingredients, but unfortunately, this isn't quite right here. I think it's great that you have rosemary on the tables, but I would really appreciate a wider selection with, for example, fresh basil. The wine spritzer was terrible... less water, please. The appetizer was really delicious. We had the mixed platter.

The location is good, but it's rather noisy facing the Kreuzzug building. There's a garden overlooking the Alstertal river in the back, which is a nice place to sit. The interior is simply furnished. I've eaten there three times now. Each time, the food was relatively poor and the service practically nonexistent. We always had to wait an extremely long time for everything: ordering, waiting for drinks, waiting for the food (sometimes an hour), and so on if you want to order more or pay at the end. The staff were friendly, but never actually there, partly because they're severely understaffed. The pizza base is thin, but tasteless and more like a tarte flambée in texture. The pasta with beef was bland. The soft drinks are okay, and the selection of alcoholic beverages is standard fare. Overall, I've never eaten such bad Italian food anywhere else. The good reviews are a complete mystery to me. Some of them mention gourmets and connoisseurs, impressive quality, and excellent service—it all reads like a report from another planet. None of my three visits involved anything even remotely like that. This is a chain restaurant with 10 branches. It's perhaps worth mentioning that they also offer pizzas made with spelt flour. Unfortunately, these are no better than the wheat flour version. I didn't try the gluten-free pasta. Incidentally, Wi-Fi is only available after providing so much personal information that it's best to avoid it altogether, even though mobile internet is practically nonexistent in Wellingsbüttel. The owner systematically deletes all justified negative reviews. Sadly, this is a very questionable business practice.

After a long time, I returned to Mama's. Luckily, it wasn't crowded, so we had a relaxed meal. Friendly service and a nice table for seven. The food was really good, and the dessert was amazing, including a heart-shaped cake with melted chocolate. Thanks again. We'll probably come back more often from now on.

I ate there today with a good friend and a good friend. How can I put it? It was fabulous. The service was super personable, very nice and friendly, and even asked the kitchen if the dish I had personally ordered was lactose-free. Even special requests, like ordering another drink or asking if they had something to cover the drinks, since bees were active today in the heat, but they couldn't be avoided on the wonderful outdoor terrace, were handled without any complications and with a speed I've never experienced before. And the food was wonderful, both in terms of quality and quantity; it really couldn't be better 🫶🏻 and the price-performance ratio is also great. So, this definitely won't be the last time I eat here. I'd love to come back and can only recommend it to everyone.

We ordered food, it came almost 1 hour late and was cold. In addition, the vegan chicken we ordered was not vegan and when we brought this up we were only told that it was not the restaurant's fault, the order was sent incorrectly and there was nothing they could do. We still had the order in writing which explicitly said vegan chicken.

We were in this restaurant for the first time. The ambience is great, the menu is nicely laid out. There are vegan and gluten-free pizzas and pasta. The service was friendly. We had to wait longer until our order was taken and the serving of the food took longer because the take-out dishes were prepared first. There was bread in advance, which you could order for free. The pizzas tasted good, the pasta was manageable, for just under €16 it could actually have been a little more. All in all, we probably won't eat there again.

Ich hatte einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in diesem Restaurant! Die Atmosphäre war gemütlich und einladend, perfekt für einen entspannten Abend. Das Personal war äußerst freundlich und aufmerksam, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Das Essen war einfach fantastisch – frisch, geschmacklich hervorragend und perfekt zubereitet. Besonders gut gefallen hat mir die Vielfalt der Speisekarte, die für jeden Geschmack etwas zu bieten hat. Die Portionen waren großzügig, und auch die Präsentation der Gerichte war sehr ansprechend. Alles in allem war es ein rundum gelungener Besuch, und ich werde definitiv wiederkommen. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Was very disappointed with the pasta of the day. I often ate Pasta Manzo here and found it very tasty. Therefore, I assumed that Manzo would also be delicious as a daily pasta. But she wasn't. Meat completely hard, onion, rocket and the sauce simply left out, a tiny piece of peccorino. I then poured the Parmesan on it, which gave the whole thing the texture of sawdust. Simply bad.

Habe gestern mir "SPAGHETTI AGLIO OLIO E GAMBERI" liefern lassen. Das Essen scheint noch nichtmals in der Nähe von Knoblauch gestanden zu haben – geschmacklos, wie die Gambas. Das kann man so echt nicht anbieten. Auch nicht in einer Systemgastronomie.

We ordered tortellini to take away. I was really happy, wanted tortellini and was really hungry. When I opened the can at home I almost lost faith. There were a total of 6 (!) tortellini in the can and that for a whopping €16. Really a bottomless impudence. Also completely over salted. I was really close to going back and returning the stuff. Next time we'll have a kebab. There's more of it.

The ambience is modern, tidy, chairs without upholstery. My calzone was just warm not hot. Service friendly but only moderately attentive. Reacted to criticism in a friendly and accommodating manner.

This was the second time I was in the restaurant with my friend. This time a table was reserved in my name. When you entered, however, you weren't asked whether you had a reservation. We therefore had a free choice of table. Coincidentally, the table behind us was reserved for two people.. When I asked after paying, it was confirmed that the table was reserved for me. Please, at restaurants where you can make reservations, always ask the guests whether they have reserved a table or not, so that such rookie mistakes are not repeated. The dishes were good, but not so good that you would want to order the same thing next time. Service was basically okay. Nice service. Co-worker was apparently new, but a co-worker was always with her.

The service came across as unsympathetic, somehow listless. However, the one who cashed in was super nice. Eating spaghetti carbonara was pretty tasteless. I had to put a lot of salt and pepper on it as well as sprinkled cheese until it tasted good and there wasn't any toasted bread either. It's a shame, I was hoping for more, but look for yourself, it's just my opinion.

We didn't have high expectations since it's a well-known chain, but the positive reviews made us curious. Unfortunately, the hope of a surprisingly good experience was not fulfilled - the food tasted more like it came from a diner than authentic Italian cuisine. The staff consisted mostly of students who were friendly but seemed clearly inexperienced. It would be desirable to have at least one experienced adult on site to better manage operations and optimize service. Given the good reviews, I'm a little surprised about the culinary landscape in Wellingsbüttel. Unfortunately for us, the food here was rather disappointing and did not live up to the expectations raised by the reviews.

Der Lärmpegel war unerträglich. Es wurde anscheinend ein Kindergeburtstag gefeiert, bei dem die Kinder (mindestens 12 Stück) das Restaurant wie eine Freizeiteinrichtung genutzt haben. Es wurde getobt und geschrien wie auf einem Spielplatz. Gesessen hat niemand, auch nicht die erwachsenen Begleitpersonen. Diese haben mit Getränken im Hauptgang gestanden und sahen keinen Handlungsbedarf. Das Servicepersonal hat diesbezüglich auch nichts unternommen. Ich möchte nochmal klarstellen, dass ich im „Mama“ kein romantisch, ruhiges Ambiente erwarte. Wir selbst waren mit 3 Kindern im Alter von 10-14 Jahren vor Ort. Das aber ein Restaurant wie ein gemieteter Raum zur freien Entfaltung genutzt wird, fand ich befremdlich. Man konnte keinen normal gesprochenen Satz am Tisch austauschen, sondern musste sich gegenseitig „zubrüllen“. Wir werden das Restaurant nicht mehr besuchen und auch keinem einen Besuch empfehlen. Schade….

The mama trattoria restaurant opened at exactly 12 p.m.; I stood in front of the door and was greeted in a friendly and unobtrusive manner. I decided to have lunch there and the friendly waitress gave me good advice about where the most pleasant places were. Further back there is even a fantastically beautiful outdoor area; I sat inside, but the fresh air was wonderful. The food is excellent, the waitress is very nice, the atmosphere is very pleasant, and I will definitely eat there again with friends.

Sitzplätze sind sehr ungewöhnlich. Für junge Leute eher, Hocker also keine Lehne. Kaffee gab es zum späten Abend nicht mehr,was sehr schade war. Essen war sehr gut.

Mama Welligsbüttel was convincing with his concept, although there is still room for improvement in practice. The antipasti was impeccably and freshly prepared. But the price is excessive given the small quantity. The Four Seasons pizza with a strange topping and the thick zucchini slices in contrast to an ultra-thin base. An Italian would hardly call this pizza, whether from Rome or Naples with their very different pizza bases. The service was friendly, but hardly trained, unfortunately this was an isolated case. The environment is very loud. Unfortunately it was already too cool on the terrace.

In my opinion, mama is an insider tip in Hamburg. The pizzas are thin and crispy and generously topped. Above all, they taste heavenly. A spot in the beautiful, quiet garden area is a must in warm weather.

I have known Mama Trattoria since 2019 and worked in the kitchen myself back then. The cuisine is really good. Unfortunately the service has deteriorated significantly. Today we were there around 8:00 p.m. and asked a waiter to sit outside. After we waited 20 minutes, the waiter came out, served the table next to us and asked: "Don't you have any tickets yet?". After another 15 minutes of waiting, without drinks or bread, we got tired of it and got up and left. The waiter simply said goodbye to us with a “bye”. I recommend just getting the food to go or skipping it altogether. Wellingsbüttel has much more to offer.

Nette Bedienung, geht auf individuelle Wünsche ein. Vielversprechende Speisekarte. Qualität des Essens aber mäßig. Für den Preis eher kleine Portionen. Die Tiefkühltruhe war bei unserem Besuch kaputt und es konnte für die Kinder kein Dessert bestellt werden. Hätte man vorher deklarieren können. Ambiente laut und hektisch, Kantinencharakter. Für einen Drink mit Freunden oder schnelles Essen mit Kindern ok. Hochwertig ist es aber nicht.

Der Service hat leider oft nicht alles im Blick und es dauert zum Teil ewig bis mal wieder jemand kommt. Das Bestellen eines Nachtischs hat dadurch extrem lange gedauert. Aus diesem Grund saßen wir auch lange Zeit vor unseren leeren Tellern. Wir saßen draußen und mussten dann irgendwann jemanden von drinnen holen, damit wir etwas bestellen konnten.

A very family friendly restaurant. Our three children love it and want to eat here again and again. The children's meals are very good and great value for money! The service was very nice including pens and coloring pages for the children. And there is always something delicious on the menu for us adults too. In summer, the terrace with garden is a real place to feel good.
