Malakeh in Berlin

I ordered the eggplant casserole (€16!!) and a coke (€4!!), ate half of it and now have a stomach ache. I don't know if this is traditional, but the "casserole" was just overcooked vegetable mash that was partly cold and partly very hot. Very strange. The service was nice.

I tried the chicken Auflauf in cheese sauce with potatoes and mushrooms. It tasted just like its name. A filling portion but a bit high in price.

Your food is nice , thanks ! Please ask your neighbors from Africa cafe to clean hands after the toilet . I saw it today… Do they know what is hygiene ?

There’s a Syrian spot in this big market space that serves some seriously delicious food. These guys made a name for themselves with catering, but not opening their own restaurants would’ve been a crime!

The shawarma is great and it's not so expensive. I would definitely come back!!!

Salt and lemon are the 2 main ingredients, and at €18 it's a bit steep

The food is fatty. The rice is covered with butter and the sauce is very simple (only consists of oil and zucchini). The dish contains fries and cheese. There was also hair in the dish 🤢A bit cheap at €18 I wouldn't recommend. It is not healthy and not balanced

Food is pricey and way too salty, I couldn’t taste any other spices than salt and it’s not Syrian food!!! it’s inspired by Syrian food, and we waited too long for our food although there was nobody else there. & worth mentioning that the owner is homophobic! :)

The food was so delicious. This is my fourth time eating here and definitely will come again 👌🏻, not to mention the lovely service. Delicious food from the most beautiful Arabic restaurants in Berlin. Try the falafel sandwich and musakhan sandwich with ayran yogurt. Fantastic.

Very delicious! I ordered Musakhan Fateh and I can’t be happier with it. The dish was full of flavor and the chicken breast was very tender. I wish I could try more dishes from here!

Paid €8 and waited 35 minutes (!) for a falafel baguette, which was lukewarm, soggy and too sour.

We only had Fatteh and to be fair it was batter than in many places but I expected so much more based on the reputation. For my tastes it was over spiced with cumin and the butter on top tasted funny, and for my personal taste Fatteh tastes better without tomatoes. Additionally the staff was not so nice though again, I had higher expectations because it’s a middle eastern place :)

Overrated at best. I know Syrian food and this shouldn't be a representative. Definitely interesting idea but it doesn't elevate to the price tag they ask for. The staff lack some friendliness. And worst thing, they hire a company to remove negative reviews. Some of my acquaintances have received notifications from companies that the reviews might be removed based on violations.

Dadurch dass ich nur 1 Mal da war, kann ich das ganze Essen nicht beurteilen. Ich habe leider Schawarma Fatteh probiert und das war eine sehr schlechte Erfahrung, dass ich den ganzen Tag danach Bauchschmerzen hatte. Denn die Mege an Gewürze, Öl und Säure bei diesem Gericht war nicht zu ertragen. Bitte noch Mal, testen Korrigieren und umdenken. Schawarma ist ja außerdem vom Spieß und es war klar, dass das Hühnchen in der Pfanne oder auf dem Grill angebraten wurde. Mir ist bekannt, dass man Schawarma Fatteh ja mit Reis serviert und nicht mit Pommes. Es ist kein Problem, Euer Touch, aber wenigstens soll Pommes frisch sein. Die Pommes waren echt alt. Da mir ja die syrischen Gerichte bekannt sind, ist das Gericht wirklich umzudenken. Liebe Malakeh, wenig ist viel, sowohl an Gewürze als auch an Zitros. Ich kann Zitronen mit Schalen wie Apfel essen und dennoch war mir, die Säure in diesem Gericht zu viel. Außerdem, lass uns bitte Tahineh in diesem Gericht schmecken, zu wenig, im Vergleich zu Jougurt. Als man hat am Ende nur Öl, Zitrone und tonnen Gewürze von Schawarma geschmeckt, anders, nichts. Nur ein letzter Punkt, die Preise sind echt teuer!!! Insbesondere für Getränke. Sowohl für das Restaurant in der Postdamerstraße, als auch für das in bei Manifesto.

Leider sehr sehr teuer für einen nur durchschnittlichen Falafelteller.

Very tasty, great flavours, I had the vegan aubergine auflauf, tremendous, never had Syrian food before, I wasn’t disappointed 😊

As you can see from pictures ,food looks really tasty and delicious… I tried Hummus Fatah and trust me it’s looks delicious but tastes really heavy I couldn’t even finish the half of it and I love hummus so much.. I tried it in some other places also Syrian ones but wasn’t like this .. there is nothing but hummus and tahini in this plate.. in addition hummus was tasteless , some of it were cooked perfectly and some were not!! and tahini wasn’t even spiced. It had only lemon and some salt. It had only a quite great presentation to me, but that is it. The other plate was Kofta Dawood Fatah .. to be honest it was better than hummus there were flavors and texture in sauce and Kofta They made their own version of it as it a traditional dish but it worth a try .. The only comment is please don’t exceed using lemon in it. If we talk about portions it’s enough to me as you can also see from pictures.. Staff members are really friendly and welcoming and the service also was quick..

We tried number 8 and 10. Both foods were very cheesy and greasy. They didn't tase good either.

Food was delicious and the people nice. But these prices are a clear tourist trap. Everything is twice as expensive as anywhere else in the city. Both my friends who ordered a meat dish got sick from it.

I love it , I went there 3 or 4 times all the dishes I ordered were fantastic (fatet musakhan was my favorite) I love when I see Malakeh there making sure that every thing is perfect even with her little baby in her arms .. I love the place and the food !!

Sheesh Auflauf was absolutely delicious!! The staff is super attentive, and you can watch them prepare your order. A highlight is that the pics they show you on their menu are not as good as the real food coming out of the kitchen. That’s unusual!! If (like me) you don’t know what to order, just ask them. They will explain in detail anything you need to know. About the dish I ordered, the highlight is the bread top is freshly baked right there when you order it. Also, the chicken is of high quality and deliciously seasoned!

Ordered the Shawarma Fatteh. It was very authentic, like we eat it back home. The staff were so friendly and hospitable too.

Das Essen sieht lecker aus und man bekommt Lust, sich durch die Exotik zu kosten. Am Ende waren aber 22 Euro für ein bisschen Huhn und Kartoffeln in Soße ertränkt den Geschmacke nicht wert. Habe deutlich bessere Syrer mit deutlich besseren Preisen, bei denen das Fleisch auch besser war gegessen. Für ein Mittag alles auch zu fett und füllend. Leider etwas enttäuscht, trotz der typischen Erscheinung.

Präsentiert die syrische Küche und macht ihrem Namen alle Ehre sehr leckeres Essen und eine sehr nett Besitzerin

I had high hopes and was excited to try Malakeh. The staff is friendly and the food looks nice and attracts you to eat 😃 The bowls were covered with freshly baked bread; yummy and crunchy 😋 Both "Kofta in Tahini" and "Malakeh" were special and I'm pretty sure that there are people who'll love the taste; unfortunately not for me. Particularly with Kofta in Tahini, after a few bites, I felt that the taste was too strong and I couldn't continue eating.

En nuestro caso pedimos: -Musshakhan fatteh (15,99€): estaba bastante bueno aunque la forma de preparación de la carne no era nuestra favorita, era algo diferente pero nos pareció un poco caro para el plato que era

Dit was de beste introductie in de Syrische keuken die we ons konden voorstellen. We hadden gemixte koude en warme voorgerechten, wat ruim voldoende was voor een lunch. Alles was echt super lekker.

19,99 für den überbackenen Auflauf mit Kartoffeln, Fleischbällchen und Mandeln in Tahini- Sauce fand ich dann doch ganz schön üppig. Das Gericht war ok, auch wenn die Sauce deutlich zu dünn und die Würzung wenig ambitioniert war. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis geht auf jeden Fall nicht auf. Und auch wenn man für eine Mall verhältnismäßig gut sitzt, bleibt es dich eine Mall....

Very tasty but very expensive anyway recommend it

Menu on the surface looks great but my Falafel Teller came with homeopathic amounts of vegetables (two slices of each) which compared to photos of dishes in menu looks poorly. Shawarma Fatteh is tasty but the portion is small (bowl was only half full) and it comes with few veggies as well. For the price completely not worth it.

Mind blowing syrian food, was not expecting such intensity in flavors and such freshness, caught me off guard and really changed the way i see the cuisine, will be back for more!

Preis-Produkt Verhältnis ist top ! Es ist selten, dass man ein Restaurant findet, in dem man syrisches Essen so probiert, wie es genau in Syrien zu Hause schmeckt.

Außergewöhnliche „Verpackung“, mega lecker. Ein Geschmackserlebnis anderer Art. Die Speisekarte macht Lust auf mehr. Bis zum nächsten Mal. Ich freue mich heute schon darauf.

Super tasty! Definitely recommend this dish with eggplants (The dish #31) But I think it's too small for the main dish and it costs 16 euros. They speak English! And accept only card payment.

Restaurant im Manifesto Foodcourt am Potsdamer Platz. Es werden viele Mezze kleine Speisen die super mit Fladenbrot gegessen werden können. Macht vor allem viel Spaß wenn man mehrere Leute dabei sind, weil die Levante Küche vom Teilen lebt.
