Maaloula in Berlin

Because it is on Turmstrasse, from the outside it looks like a Turkish restaurant with simple kebab plates. That's why I've walked past it many times, but have never been here. In reality, it is a Syrian restaurant that is more comparable to an upscale Israeli restaurant, for example Feinberg's near KaDeWe. The food is much better than expected: well seasoned with cardamom, coriander, chili and mint. Delicious meat dishes accompany tasty delicacies from Arabic cuisine such as hummus and tahini. Recommended.

But the service experience was very poor and I felt deeply racially discriminated against. I went alone. When I went there, only two tables in the restaurant were occupied. This is by far one of the most beautiful and delicious culinary temples... Not just here in the neighborhood. We travel across town to eat here. And that again and again. Very highly recommended. And worth the money - without question.

Wow, simply amazing! The best Arabic food I've ever enjoyed in Berlin! Every single ingredient was freshly prepared and the flavors transported me straight to the Orient. The spices were perfectly balanced so that every bite was a true taste experience. From the delicious starters to the main course, everything was to die for. You can immediately tell that the cooking here is done with passion and love. If you're looking for authentic Arabic food, you definitely have to stop by here - there's simply nothing like it in Berlin! Absolute recommendation!

We ordered grill dish for 2 persons, the quantity is enough, but the grill is not so amazing, seems liken not fresh. Also I dislike the vegetables under the grill, tastes nothing. We waited for around 35mins for the meal. In general I don’t think it worth that high review.

If you wish to find a piece of Syria in Berlin, you must visit Maaloula. This is an authentic Syrian and Levantine restaurant that has been serving Berliners for more than 30 years. The chef Tony is very welcoming and helpful. I met the owner Yuhanna as well who was welcoming. We remembered the old days of Syria. Let us talk about the food. As starter, we had tabouleh and fatoush. Both were very fresh and tasty. We ordered lamb kebab, kofta, and shish tawook mix that came with rice, hummus, mtabal, muhamarah, garlic cream, potatoes. The meat is nicely grilled and very delicious. The sides reminded me with restaurants in Damascus. We also had Turkish coffee. I’m summary, this place is highly recommended and must visit.

We were guests last week and can only rave about the incredibly delicious food and the great service. The chef knows his craft and the owner is also very attentive. The restaurant is highly recommended, especially because of its cleanliness and the incredibly great food. We will come back on our next visit to Berlin :)

Very delicious Syrian cuisine. A big variation of vegan/vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes with good wine or arak. Very kind service and restaurant owner. We moved from Moabit but still go there for a lovely dinner.

At first we were irritated because we were recommended to make a reservation and on Saturday, 7 p.m., only a few tables were occupied. However, we were immediately welcomed and advised in a very friendly manner by the owner, as well as by the chef. The food was very good, the mezze platter for 2 filled the three of us, and the price was absolutely fair! The desserts are also highly recommended. We'll definitely be back!

I recently dined at Maaloula in Berlin and had an exceptional experience. The Lambspieß was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. The dish alone is enough reason to keep coming back. The staff at Maaloula are incredibly kind and attentive, making you feel welcome from the moment you step in. Their warm hospitality adds a special touch to the dining experience. Maaloula has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Berlin, and I find myself returning at least twice a month. If you’re looking for a restaurant with fantastic food and excellent service, Maaloula is definitely the place to go! PS You can pay with your card.

I loved eating there and it is really great for light business meetings and dates. It changed my perspective about the fancy restaurants coz usually they serve good and delicious food but in small portions, but Maaloula reached the perfect balance by filling our tummies and hearts 😍

I have never eaten so well in my life! The owner gave us a very warm welcome and we immediately felt at home. The portions are very large and really fill you up. The atmosphere is also very nice and everything is very clean. The waiters' lack of knowledge of German sometimes led to misunderstandings, but it wasn't a big deal. Very good restaurant!! Highly recommended❤️
