€60 down the drain! Ordered today = the food was a huge disappointment, for my guests as well. Unfortunately, we even preferred the white sausages from the supermarket; they were seasoned better than the food at Maharaja Palace. The naan was like rubber, The soups were sour, The sauces for the main courses tasted almost identical to the soups. You practically had to search for the meat in the "chicken soup." We all agreed that no one will ever order from there again. It's a mystery to me who eats there. I've eaten my way across India and also at Indian restaurants in Nuremberg, but I've never experienced anything like this. It tastes more like reheated convenience food. Very annoying for the price. I'd rather go to Anjapar Chettinad.

They have a great buffet at a reasonable price, and the other dishes are also very affordable and always contain plenty of meat.

Great food and incredibly friendly staff who are also very helpful and attentive to the guests. I've ordered from there many times and it's always been fantastic! I ordered again today, and unfortunately, something wasn't quite right this time. I called, and without any fuss or lengthy explanations, they immediately sent me a new dish! Everything was perfect then, and it was incredibly delicious, as always :) These days, it's rare to experience being understood and heard on the phone without having to explain yourself at length, and for the staff to respond immediately in a friendly and helpful manner. That's why I appreciate this restaurant's response so much! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was very disappointing. The food quality was poor and was served cold, which significantly affected the overall experience. The dishes lacked authentic Indian flavors and freshness. Additionally, the service was not up to the expected standard. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking Indian cuisine.

I had a disappointing experience at Maharaja Palace Restaurant. I went for the buffet, but the food was not good and most of it was cold. A buffet should be fresh and warm, but that was not the case here. What made the experience worse was that naan, which is usually included in a buffet, was changed to a payable item. We were asked to pay extra for it, and this was not informed to us beforehand. There was no clear communication about this change, which felt misleading. Overall, the quality of food and lack of transparency were very disappointing. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Ordered at lunchtime - it just looked like "mushy slop" and there was hardly any chicken in the pile of rice.

We order from there regularly and are thrilled. The portions are generous and the taste is authentic. If you like it a bit spicier, just let them know. Best Indian restaurant in Nuremberg we know.

Truly fantastic Indian food. If we want Indian food, we'll only eat here from now on.

We had to wait over two hours for our order. When you call, they lie to you, saying the delivery person is on their way and will be here in five minutes, but those five minutes turned into almost 40! I used to order here regularly and happily, but I'll never do it again. Orders getting lost happens to the best of us, and it's understandable. But lying to me on the phone is absolutely outrageous.

The food is delicious, not spicy but deliciously spicy, good portions and it's filling, very friendly staff and it's very nice here ☺️

It's very difficult to order here. First of all: The food has always been good, but unfortunately there's one major drawback, which is why the rating is so high. You never know what to expect. Even if you order the same dish three times, one time it'll be mild, one time it'll be spicy, and the other time it'll be so bad that you simply can't eat it if you want to live. Hoping every time that the food will somehow still be edible and getting lucky two out of three times is just not nice. Why not be consistent?

I went there for their weekdays lunch buffet. It was really a great experience. The foods tasted extremely well. A good numbers of dishes according to the buffet price. The man who was serving was very generous and caring. I would definitely go there again and again. I would recommend them to those who loves food with less spices.

Very good food. We had to wait a bit for service, even though it wasn't busy. The naan bread was wonderfully fluffy and freshly made. The sauces (one meat and one vegetarian) were also very good.

We ate at the lunch buffet today. The salads were going bad. It wasn’t completely gone but I could feel that it was a bit stale. The curry had no masalas. They were very bland. It almost didn’t feel Indian. Desserts were good and so were the Pakodas. But the main food has a lot more to improve.

I can't comment on the ambiance because I always order there. That's why I didn't give it any stars. It's very tasty and fresh, and the prices are reasonable! The food always arrives hot, which I find very important. My favorite dish: the breaded fish from the appetizers, and spinach with cheese and rice (palak paneer).

Four of us went there for dinner relatively spontaneously on a Thursday evening. We got a place straight away. The food was good. There is a very large selection. The service was super friendly and accommodating :) Vegetarian dishes could easily be made vegan upon request. You can also order great here. Overall great restaurant.

Food is still very tasty. The prices are also okay. But it needs to be renewed a few times. We ordered 2 biriyani and it tasted like sambar rice mixed with chicken pieces.The biriyani didn't have any components of an actual biriyani.It was very disappointing.

Ordered Dumm aloo, dal makhan and veg. Biryani over Liferando. Though the food was delivered on time, it was an utter disgrace in the name of food. Both the curries had the same base with lots of artificial color. It tasted like uncooked tomato puree. Biryani was also tasteless, with uncooked vegetables. Had to throw most of it away, and whatever eaten was only to fill up the hunger. Please avoid such restaurants if you value your health and money.

We enjoyed an excellent meal here. We had a Korma and a Tikka Massala. Both dishes were full of flavor with thick, rich sauces. The server was very polite and took great care of us.

Parts of the delivery were missing (paid via PayPal), the supplier supposedly knows nothing about it and then makes an absolutely outrageous comment. Restaurant not accessible. It was my last order and I won't let myself be cheated. Food wasn't good this time either, chicken was cooked far dry, tasteless sauce. Only the lassi was very good, as always.

The Maharaja Place has been one of our favorite restaurants in Nuremberg for 15 years now. Whenever we pass by here, we can't avoid stopping here and eating the delicious food. The price/performance level is great, the food is super tasty. As always, we'll be back 👍

Update July 2024 The lunch menu now costs €11.50. Otherwise not much has changed. It still tastes very good. At the moment I can only say something about the lunch buffet. I wasn't there in the evening yet. The lunch menu is really above average. The typical Indian classics are offered. From mild to spicy. If you want it spicier, you can add more seasoning. I've been there several times for lunch and tried everything. Every dish tastes really good. Each guest also gets fresh naan bread. The buffet is always kept fresh. However, it may be that one or the other runs out at 2 p.m. and is no longer refilled. But then, if requested, a portion of what was missing was prepared separately. Class service. For €7.50 you can't eat better. Top!

I ordered food through online delivery app. The delivery was quick but the food was not all good. The food doesn't taste like Indian food at all and lacks flavors. The chicken was undercooked and bland. Not recommended.

A terrible experience: I had called the restaurant before ordering to make sure my chicken curry wasn't spicy and had ordered for pickup. When I picked it up everything was fine. The next day the manager called me rudely and claimed that I had ordered twice - once by phone and two minutes later again with Wolt - . That didn't make any sense - It is clear that this is a misunderstanding on their part. He had been extremely rude and made the argument worse instead of apologizing. The food was okay, but the service gets 0 stars.

I was very disappointed when I ordered from Maharaja Palace - the naan bread was rubbery and the butter chicken only tasted like tomatoes.

We've been here off and on over the years and it's always been good. But when we were there today and had naan, butter chicken, lamb biryani, a lassi and a marinated cheese as a starter, I have to say TOP. We eat Indian food often and a lot but Maharaja is now our number 1. Good food has become even better for us here. Thanks for that.

I only tasted Butter Chicken - I liked it, but it is a spicy dish, the level of perception of spiciness is an individual thing. The portion is very large. I ordered another salad, but the waiter forgot about this order, and when I saw a portion of chicken + a lot of rice, I decided not to remind, because 2 dishes for one person is too much. Prices are moderate.

I've eaten there again for probably 15 years. It was - just like back then - very, very tasty! This time it won't be that long until we eat here next time!

Dear Maharaja team, thank you very much for the great food and the quick delivery (approx. 30 minutes). Absolutely recommended, I order from you more often, consistent quality, not everyone can do that either.

Well I have to say it's pretty impressive that you can make a reservation there and then when you get there they tell you that the reservation doesn't exist. I don't know how this can happen logistically. Ok, we still got a table but then had to wait almost an hour for our food. The staff did not ask us about any concerns we may have. You have to say the food wasn't bad, but it wasn't really spectacular either. Overall, I'm disappointed and the only tip I can give is that the restaurant needs to adapt better

We had to wait quite a long time (about an hour) for our food even though it wasn't particularly busy. Food was OK, but nothing spectacular. But the Mango Lassi is recommended. Service is pretty inattentive, rarely if ever stopping by.

We are a little divided on this. I had the chicken mango curry and a mango lasso which were both great, my friend had a tandori mix where unfortunately some pieces were tough or gristly. We also ordered a butter naan as a starter. I know starters so you get them BEFORE the main course. The menu said that you get naan and basmati rice with the tandori and curry. We also got this with the main courses When we asked about the bill because the butter naan was listed as an extra 3.50, we were told rather rudely that we got it with our meal. We didn't feel like discussing things, but we didn't give a tip either. We probably wouldn't come back

The Indian I trust, I order here monthly. I can particularly recommend the Karahi dishes and the Lassi Mango. The two Lieferando awards for the best delivery service in Nuremberg in recent years are absolutely justified, always high quality and consistently good delivery times.

I had ordered online - it was delivered on time - roti we’re burnt 🥵 which was disappointing and not eatable. - the rice was undercooked and curry wasn’t worth the price .

Despite delivery across half the city, we stayed under the specified hour and delivered an excellent lamb curry, baked cauliflower and fruit salad, a very tasty overall package, many thanks to this kitchen team, keep it up.
