We went to Kohinoor for dinner based on a recommendation from our hotel. Since we were there relatively late, there wasn't much going on, but the food was sensational! Service was super friendly. We will come more often.

The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside and the somewhat dated but well-kept ambience may seem slightly kitschy a la Bollywood - but the food is sensational. Basically, we don't use ready-made products here; every sauce is prepared in-house, which is clearly visible in the dishes and, above all, clearly tasted. A pleasant alternative to the x pseudo-Indians, where "chicken korma" etc. almost always taste the same. Definitely not here. The picture shows the dishes 50+51.

We has to wait for a few hours to take our next flixbus to Hungary and we were very hungry, could not make a better decision to have dinner at this place. A lot of choice, vegan options, and a white housewine I would recommend. Very friendly staff also which made our evening complete.

Very good Indian restaurant right on the hotel mile by the train station. Air-conditioned, which we really liked when the outside temperature was 29 degrees. A menu that is not too extensive and the service provided is really extremely pleasant. I can highly recommend the chili chicken and the lamb dhansak, and the garlic and butter naan were also great. The chili chicken was too spicy for us and was taken back without hesitation and served back less spicy. When we asked for some yogurt, the waiter said that we had ordered chili chicken and not yogurt chicken, which we found very friendly and accommodating.

American friends if you're tired of sausages just someplace is a good stop. Pretty decent Indian food. Full of spices and flavors. The atmosphere was actually pretty cool and cozy. Drinks are very very nice as well. The only issue that I had was the server asked the gender of my daughter.

I have really eaten an incredible amount of Indian food and often. In many big cities, in Germany, abroad, etc. But what I was able to experience here today beats everything... it was the best Chicken Vindaloo I have ever eaten. Spicy, spicy, the chicken tender and just a dream. Unfortunately, we don't have this restaurant in Berlin, but if you want to eat out here in Nuremberg in a great ambience, with great service and authentic Indian cuisine that is second to none, this is the place to be. Mega recommendation!!! 👍👍👍 and 10 stars!!

Chicken was not cooked properly in the biriyani. Chicken soup was good and we had namkeen lassi which was good.

Very tasty food and very friendly and attentive staff. One meal was a bit too spicy and it was taken back without any problems and the same thing came back even less spicy. The very very friendly. When we are in Nuremberg we would like to come back

Excellent Indian cuisine, unfortunately we had someone with us who misjudged the spiciness of the food and it was taken straight to the kitchen and brought back milder, we then got a free drink as compensation, generally very attentive and polite. The ambience is very typically Indian and appears to have been furnished with love. The food was great and if you can't make it, they give it to you to go. Personally, I would recommend checking out the Tangaroo.

Good food, great service & atmosphere! Stopped for a quick dinner on our way & was never disappointed! Food was very good but be sure to ask what compliment comes along, like rice/naan. The ambience was very great & friendly service. The Briyani was good but could have been bit more spicier(we ordered medium spicy). Definitely worth trying & you would not be disappointed!

Great dinner - friendly staff who spoke reasonable English and the menu is in both German and English. The Chicken Karahi was good and they are fully licensed including offering a dark wheat beer. For some reason though, the restuarant address is correct and it's at the corner of Bahnhof Str. and Kate Strobel Str. The Trip Advisor map shows it some hundred yards away incorrectly in Sand strasse. Beware.

Very bad service. When I arrived at the half-empty restaurant late on Saturday evening and wanted to choose a free unreserved seat myself, the waiter insisted on giving me one himself. It's not necessarily a negative point if a proper reason is explained politely, but the manner was a bit unsympathetic. When I asked if I could have more or double sauce with my chicken tikka masala, I was told that it would cost €7.50 extra. I think I'm falling off my stool. €7.50 for a bit of extra tomato gravy. The masala itself was mediocre compared to other Indian cuisines or not necessarily the tastiest Indian food, but not the worst either. I had to wait a long time to get someone's attention again. I thought I was already forgotten. Then at some point I had to get up myself to ask for the bill. I wasn't offered dessert, which is another minus point.

A very nice restaurant! The atmosphere is very inviting, the service staff were courteous, very friendly and patient (although it took us a long time to decide on food and drinks). The food itself was a poem, the taste was really fantastic! The cocktails had lots of mint or orange, were very tasty and also visually eye-catching. I can definitely recommend Kohinoor.

Last Saturday, five other people and I visited your restaurant and I would like to share a few points regarding our experience. First of all I would like to emphasize that the ambience is outstanding and we ate inside. Service overall was pleasant, although some service staff gave the impression of being bored and slightly annoyed. Unfortunately, I personally wasn't impressed with my butter chicken. In terms of taste, I found it to be rather boring and the meat didn't seem fresh. I have worked in the butcher industry for over a decade and think I am a good judge of quality. My colleagues at the table were also not enthusiastic about the food. Another point is that the food sat in my stomach for quite a long time and it became unpleasant for the remaining hours of my evening. Others in our group also shared this feeling. Personally, I cannot understand the high ratings for your restaurant and it would be interesting to know why this particular restaurant is rated so positively, as this was one of the reasons for our choice. I hope this feedback is considered a constructive contribution.

Very friendly and courteous service. Beautiful guest room design, without the usual sensory overload. Homemade lemonade and appetizers very good. But the two ducks were amazing. The price is a bit high, but the portions are large. Price/performance good. We would eat here again.

I've been to this restaurant a couple of times now. Overall the food is great. However, the masalas/curries lack flavour and taste a bit bland. The other dishes and lassi were good. You can ask waiter to make it "Indian spicy" but it only results in dish having more chili, not more flavour.

Essen war "Okay" aber nicht überdurchschnittlich gut. Ambiente lädt zum sinnieren und Träumen ein. Wirklich prägend für unseren Abend war aber das sehr abwesend/genervte/unfreundliche Service Personal. Wir kamen uns nicht willkommen und gern gesehen vor. Eher als würden wir mit unserer bloßen Anwesenheit stören.

Naan und Chicken Korma. Sehr leckeres Essen! Preislich in Ordnung. Aufmerksame Bedienung. Homemade Limonade sehr lecker, aber etwas teuer. Aber insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen.

When ever I go to any hotel for eat some good food my first choice is always kohinoor their food and service are good so I first prefer kohinoor than other restaurants in Nürnberg

Deutsch-Der schlechteste indische Service, den ich je erwartet habe, und als ich mir etwas kaufen und eine Toilette benutzen wollte. Ich kann nichts kaufen und der Service wirft mich mit irgendeiner dummen Erklärung raus. Diskriminierung und Unhöflichkeit auf der Ebene. English-The worst Indische service I ever expected ,and when I wanted to buy myself something and to use a Restroom.Can't buy anything and the service throw me out with some silly explanation.Discrimination and rudeness on level.

Excellent food and service. I really enjoyed the Dahl soup. It was very tasty. I had prawn madras curry with rice. The rice portion is enough for possibly 2-3 people. The curry was super hot but it’s just the way I like it. Overall great atmosphere with lovely Indian music.

Das Essen ist viel besser als bei anderen indischen Restaurants in der Umgebung. Auch die Bedienung ist extrem freundlich. Was aber ziemlich stört, sind die Kinder der Mitarbeiter, die hier sehr laut spielen. Die gehören nach Hause und nicht ins Restaurant.

Wir waren heute Abend auf der Durchreise in diesem Restaurant essen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden, das Personal war sehr freundlich und nett. Obwohl wir nicht reserviert hatten bekamen wir trotzdem einen Tisch.Das essen war einfach sehr köstlich. 🥰 Gerne wieder.

I visited this restaurant recently, and I have mixed feelings about my experience. The food was delicious, and I really enjoyed the dishes I ordered. However, I was quite disappointed with the service. To be honest, I expected more politeness and attentiveness from the staff. While the chicken and prawn meals itself were excellent, the delayed service left me with a somewhat unsatisfactory overall impression.

The food was below average especially non vegetarian food, the Mango lassi was more like Mango and milk. Some of the staff were friendly but some were rude to my colleagues, the waiting time to get service was around 90 minutes which was terrible. I hope they improve in the future

Wir waren heute auf der Durchreise zum Mittagsmenü hier essen. Das Ambiente fanden wir sofort super, der Kellner war nett und sehr angenehm. Er hat gefragt ob alles zufriedenstellend ist und war auch echt fix. Wir mussten weder auf Bestellung noch auf das Essen oder das Bezahlen lange warten. Das Essen war riiiiiichtig gut. Und war sehr schön angerichtet. Wir waren halt nur zufällig in der Stadt aber wenn wir mal wieder hier sind, dann gehen wir da bestimmt wieder hin. Preis war übrigens auch echt in Ordnung.

Gerade sitze ich in diesem Restaurant und ich bin begeistert von dem unglaublich netten Personal. Das Essen schmeckt sehr lecker. Mir war es nur zu scharf.
