Madami - Mom's Vietnamese Kitchen in Berlin

We had Vietnamese food at Madami for the first time and were thrilled. From the food to the friendly service, everything was great. The price-performance ratio is also very good. We ordered for 2 people and there were three of us. Expectations were exceeded and everyone left satisfied and happy. 5 out of 5 stars absolutely deserved

I booked dinner for 60 people and the staff and management were very quick, serviceminded and friendly and everything went smoothly. The food is of a very high standard and definitely value for money. Highly recommended.

The service is very friendly and accommodating. The food we ordered came very quickly. The quality is appropriate to the price, although I have eaten cheaper and better at a Thai restaurant. But that's the Berlin markup. Overall, a good but not great restaurant.

Very good and patient service. We figured out a dish for the kids with the waitress. The only thing- they charge 50 cents for a tap water glass.. The food’s great!

Decent food, but terrible service. We were able to order fairly quickly, which was great! We ordered two 2-person menu’s and got our starter soup. Then we had to wait a long time before getting our main course, and it seemed they had forgotten about our order. After the main course we were able to choose between three desserts, and we all picked the same option (the fried banana). 10 minutes went by before the waiter came back to our table and said they didn’t have any more of it and told us that we could choose from the other two options. As none of us liked, nor wanted, the other options we asked if we could just get a reduced price (as the menu was already a bit pricy). The waiter went inside to ask the chef and told us that it was not possible. We tried to negotiate a bit before ending up just asking for the bill. We were asked if we wanted to pay in cash or with card, and choose cash. We of course found the exact amount in bills and coins, but were told that they could take the 20 cent-coins as they couldn’t give it back to other customers. We didn’t have anymore large coins, and told the waiter so, in which she looked frustrated and just pushed the cent-coins back to us before walking off. I guess we got our small reduction in the end.

Ristorante vietnamita piuttosto buono anche se nel rapporto qualità prezzo risulta abbastanza caro (come dappertutto a Berlino…). Non conosco molto la cucina vietnamita per cui non sono un’esperta, ma una cosa che non ho molto gradito è che nel piatto principale c’erano troppe tipologie di cibo differenti: noodles brodosi, pezzetti di carne grigliata di manzo e pollo, un paio di gamberi, moltissima verdura semi cruda… buoni i tè aromatizzati con zenzero e mela.

Delicious food with good value for money and pleasantly large portions. Fast service and friendly staff.

Food mediocre, I wouldn't visit again. Since I wasn't a fan of wasting food, I asked if I could have the leftovers to take with me. The middle-aged waiter was visibly annoyed; there was no trace of politeness or a certain service orientation from this gentleman. The leftovers to take away were carelessly dumped into the Styrofoam packaging along with the sauce, so that the sauce (which could have been packed separately, as is usually the case) leaked into my bag during transport and messed everything up. The food in it was therefore soggy. If you want to take the leftovers with you, you should leave them there. Given the prices, I expect solid service, which is out of place here. The quality of the food can't beat this lousy service, and the price-performance ratio isn't right either. Was my first and last visit there.

Unfortunately very disappointed :( the taste was catastrophic for the price.. pho tastes like dishwater.. tagliatelle 50g in the plate, the rest of the vegetables.. more appearance than it is.

Wonderful find! Peaceful setting for a delicious dinner, but enough other diners there to create a good vibe. Reasonably priced, wide choice of dishes, very clean and the waiter was really helpful, offering us a few suggestions and recommendations that proved to be spot-on. Great customer service with a smile! Highly recommend.

The food was very tasty. The service was also completely fine.

I was there with my baby and JUST wanted a drink, which was obviously not welcome. The waitress hesitated after I ordered and after a few seconds pause said OK, almost unfriendly, when I confirmed that I just wanted something to drink first. There were several tables free, so I didn't take up anyone's space. This is not a service.

Our first evening out for dinner in Berlin and it was a hit! Incredibly delicious food and very friendly service. Starter super tasty and main course really not normally tasty. Highly recommended to eat here at this cozy Vietnamese restaurant. Thank you for the delicious food. Bon appetit 🙌🏼

Clean restaurant. A direct look into the kitchen increases the anticipation of the meal even more :) The food was very tasty and well (even generously) portioned. It was served quicker and hot. Top ! We ordered: crispy rolls filled with glass noodles and vegetables, apple-ginger iced tea, warm glass noodle salad with tofu and vegetables in a coconut curry sauce and rice. The service took longer than necessary... Compared to other restaurants in the same category, I found the bill to be a bit high in the end, but this could also be due to the restaurant's location (Ku'damm).

We were in the restaurant purely by chance. Whether it was the delicious dishes or the service…..just really, really great. We will definitely come back. :O)

Tastiest Pho Gha I have ever eaten in Berlin. The shop is nice and quiet and you can have a conversation at a comfortable volume. The ambience is nice thanks to the harmonious design. The service was very good and the places were clean. The open kitchen is a beautiful and interesting detail. Highly recommended.

Disappointing Experience Beef Found in Chicken Meal My recent visit here (kudam) wasn't good. We waited a long time, and the food wasn't that much tasty. Plus, I ordered chicken but found a piece of beef in it. Overall, I wouldn't recommend.

Olin varannut aikaa sitten ravintolaan illalliselle pöydän. Kun saavuimme paikalle ravintola olikin kiinni. Eipä vaivautuneet ilmoittamaan meille mitään vaikkakin olisi ollut viikkoja aikaa ilmoittaa asiasta. En tule ikinä suosittelemaan saati varaamaan kyseiseen ravintolaan pöytää.

Waren heute da… wir hatten zu zweit die kleine pho bestellt jeweils hätte die 7€ gekostet. Als wir die pho jeweils bekamen waren wir jedoch sehr überrascht mit der Größe… Zu Beginn war die Suppe warm und schmeckte entsprechend angenehm jedoch als sie abkühlte nach kurzer Zeit verlor sie ihren Geschmack extrem und war ungenießbar . Beim bezahlen teilte uns dann die Kellnerin mit das wir jeweils 15€ bezahlen sollten obwohl wir ja bereits die für 7€ bestellt hatten (wir hatten nur die pho bestellt). Als wir der Kellnerin dann mitteilten das dies ja nicht stimmen könnte da wir ihr explizit gezeigt hatten das wir die kleine pho wollten (auf welche wir auch deuteten auf der Speisekarte) fing sie an diskutieren, keineswegs Verständnis zu zeigen und uns unter Drucken setzte die Bestellung zu bezahlen welche wir ursprünglich nicht bestellt hatten. Möglicherweise nahm sie uns auch nicht Ernst da jeweils ich wie die Freundin die mit mir anwesend war Schülerin sind. Deshalb leider nicht empfehlenswert

Netter und schneller Service. Essen sehr lecker!

Top vietnamesisches Restaurant. Die Kids hatten den Madami Burger mit Rindfleisch. Der Burger war frisch saftig lecker und hatte ein ausgefallenes Bun, dieses war weiß, fluffig, mal was anderes. Das Menü M3 bestehend aus einer Zitronengras Suppe als Vorspeise, Lachs auf Curry Kokos Sauce mit riesen Garnelen, einem frisch süß/sauer leicht scharfem Salat, in Tempura Teig gebackenen Garnelen, und 2 Sommer Rollen. Als "sagen wir mal" Nachtisch haben wir einen original vietnamesischen Kaffee getrunken. Alles war stimmig, authentisch und hat alle Geschmäcker getroffen. 100% Weiterempfehlung!!! ps. Der Service war sehr freundlich und das Ambiente ebenfalls sehr ansprechend. Wenn wir wieder in Berlin sind, kommen wir gerne wieder.

We were in Berlin from Miami and found this cozy restaurant near our hotel. We love Vietnamese food so we decided to try it. We had difficulty ordering because everything looked so unique. Mai helped us choose and we were astounded by how fresh and delicious everything was. We had Pho, duck, and salmon and each was perfection- but the item I cannot get out of my mind was the crispy shrimp Madami Fresh roll. I wanted to go back today and get another one! This is the best Vietnamese food I have ever had ! If I lived here- I would go once a week! Also the service was great and Mai was so friendly.

Serveur désagréable, mielleux et toujours là, même quand il ne faut pas, qui a compris que nous étions étrangers. Il nous a sorti des commentaires désobligeants (nous étions 2 filles). Nourriture très grasse. Et lorsque nous payons l'addition, le serveur soupire plusieurs fois alors que nous sommes rapides. Il veut presque nous forcer à payer en liquide. Et nous harcèle pour laisser un pourboire tout en étant très énervé de voir que sa tentative de mielleuserie n'a pas fonctionnée. Puis lorsque nous payons le liquide, il prend tout et fait comme si c'était fini, pour garder son pourboire. Très mauvaise expérience, c'était mieux avant.

The food and the drinks were absolutely AMAZING!!! We ordered the menu one for 2 people and it was one of the best food I tried in my life (and I’ve been everywhere). We paid 48€ for it but it was a lot of food + dessert. They also have delicious fresh juices and fresh sugar cane juice as well!!! Definitely worth the visit. I will come back for sure.

Sehr lecker und frisch. Nach einer Operation war ich etwas länger nicht draußen und hier war ich das erste Mal dann wieder unter Menschen. Wir wollten lecker essen und landeten bei Madami und es ist ein tolles Essen geworden, was wir nur empfehlen können.

Wie waren mit einer großen Gruppe dort und wurden schnell und gut bewirtet.
