Baba đu Restaurant in Berlin

After an exploratory stroll along this Berlin street, we were looking for a place serving Asian cuisine. This restaurant was our choice. We had small fried spring rolls and pho soup, each with chicken breast and beef tenderloin. While the spring rolls were mediocre, the pho soup was very tasty. The service was fast, but didn't exude any particular hospitality, which is typical for Asian restaurants, at least in Berlin. Overall, the impression was OK, and based on the excellent pho soup, we can recommend Baba đu Restaurant.

The restaurant is always very busy on weekend evenings. Luckily we found a gap to eat there. However, I was a bit disappointed because right at the beginning we were given a small starter soup, which was a real shame. It had no flavor at all and was just a thin liquid - very disappointing. I think the chef needs to gain more experience. However, the duck main course was good, and the cocktails were beautiful. The staff was nice and friendly.”

It's a shame the evening ended like this. After eating and having a drink we were ignored by the staff. Any eye contact was deliberately avoided. Nobody even thought of asking. So I asked the waiter if we could order something else and the reaction we got was an eye roll and a groan. We then decided to pay. I don't understand this reaction at all, as we never gave the staff any cause for annoyance. It's a shame, the food was really good, but you can also disappoint your guests. Nobody should be treated like that.

Definitely our favorite restaurant in the area! Super nice staff, you never have to wait long for your food and it tastes very tasty too! Totally recommended!

I had the vegan Duck with peanut sauce and my boyfriend had the yellow curry with chicken. Both portions were super big and the food was very fresh, with fresh salad and vegetables. Nice deco as well The house made lemonades were also very tasty I gave 4 stars because you can only pay with card from 60 euros on, luckily we had a 50 with us

On the occasion of my big birthday, my guests and I found a great, friendly welcome. Our table was beautifully set in the already sophisticated ambience of the restaurant. We celebrated on January 18th in a cheerful group at Baba du with 12 people. Everything that was offered in terms of service and good food is to be praised without exception. Baba du is and remains one of our favorite restaurants!

We were guests at Baba du with the children and grandma for our wedding anniversary. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was modern and cozy and the staff was very friendly. It was well heated, important for the end of December! The children are now constantly asking, Dad, when are we going to Baba du again? We liked it so much that we gave away a voucher for our older children. Really great restaurant for the whole family.

A modern, elegant design and relaxed lighting create a calming atmosphere. Friendly, attentive service that makes guests feel welcome. But unfortunately there is no more sushi, but we would still like to come back.

Got served dirty water bottles which were clearly stored outside in the rain and dirt, probably the yard. I ordered a chicken dish and my company the orange duck. Both of us had stomach pain and digestive issues the following hours and day. Bathroom is messy as well. That was about a year ago, so maybe the situation improved. Not coming back.

The food is so delicious. It's ready quickly, you don't have to wait long for the food. Especially in the evening it is better to book a seat, otherwise you may not be able to eat there.

Wenn man in Deutschland ein Restaurant betreiben will, dann mit Personal das die deutsche Sprache beherrscht. Leider war es anders. Mein Gast bekam nicht das was bestellt war. So nicht- !!! die angebrachte Kritik wurde ignoriert !!! Mein Essen war deutlich schlechter als beim letzten Mal. So schnell nicht wieder!

The food is good. The prices of the drinks are a disgrace. 10 euros for an Aperol Spritz and other drinks. This is a rip-off and absolutely unjustified. Non-alcoholic drinks are also overpriced.

The best duck I ate in Berlin 🤩 homemade drinks are also amazing. 49€ for two persons.

Great restaurant with a cozy outdoor terrace, friendly and courteous service staff and very, very tasty food - I can recommend it to everyone without reservation! They have a very good selection of dishes, with meat and fish as well as tofu and vegan duck. The portions are generous. We would definitely like to come back!

As most predecessors wrote, the food tastes good, medium portion size and fresh preparation. We sat outside, wooden benches and a table (thicker wood in black) with a seat pad - but there wasn't much more ambience. What was really unpleasant was the card payment starting at €60 (unfortunately you can count why on one hand) and the fact that despite the tip there was no “Thank you, have a nice evening, have a nice weekend” or anything like that. You felt a bit “unwanted”, which was a shame for Eigtl.

The communication between employees and the handling of equipment and furnishings could be a little more “discreet”... but overall it remains a clear recommendation 👍...

I ordered duck with peanut sauce and rice, The rice was "bathed" with some mixture of vinegar and sugar, rocket salad and lettuce on the "bowl" plate, well not quite traditional but ok. The "peanut" sauce was sweet like syrup but had no trace of peanut flavor. No broccoli in the vegetables :( Everything tasted so sweet it was barely edible, I had also ordered an extra bowl of rice, which luckily wasn't contaminated with vinegar syrup. The duck breast was good and tender with a very thin breading. I really couldn't finish it Too sweet... Unfortunately the baked banana dessert was not Vietnamese mini dessert bananas but normal ones from the supermarket. I then canceled the dessert after asking, which was fortunately still possible (but was left on the bill at first 🤔) Cola was good and cold with a slice of lemon. I won't say anything about card payments and €60, I didn't have any cash with me and the bill was €26. somehow I couldn't pay with EC: the transaction was rejected, then the credit card was rejected, it only worked the third time 🥸

Super delicious udon noodles, homemade linoades and creme brulee. The portions are very large so bring your hunger. The restaurant is nicely decorated and was relatively empty. The price isn't exactly cheap, but you get something for your money.

My food was served cold even though I asked for noodles. The prises are way too high and its not really worth the food.

I had ordered a phó with the beef and a soda and when ordering I had specified without bean sprouts. At first they laughed at my pronunciation because I had pronounced phó incorrectly and unfortunately the soup was still served to me with bean sprouts. I'm not going to open a barrel because something like that can happen, but when I asked (just a question) whether card payment was possible, the waitress reacted with annoyance and the fact that they laughed at my pronunciation is simply ass. I still give you 4 stars because everything else was ok, but I won't be coming back.

Food was ok. It wasn't bad by any means. Was delicious. But unfortunately only average. Had pasta with chicken. The chicken was great. My pasta must have been in the kitchen for a while. They were lukewarm and stuck together really well. Which to me is a sign that they've already been in the kitchen for a bit. The service was very nice and quite quick. Food was delicious, price 2-3 € too expensive for the quality I would say.

Totally overpriced! House lemonade 7€, small miso soup with salmon 7€. Cheap wild salmon instead of salmon and at these prices! Also with the main course (pasta with salmon). After my comment, the waitress asked me the difference between salmon and wild salmon :))

We were in the restaurant for the first time today, highly recommended, an excellent starter, a great price-performance ratio. The main course was a poem and a play of colors, all very fresh and fantastically prepared. In addition, a very young, charming service with warmth. This restaurant in Pankow is worth a visit. I can recommend a bottle of the very good Chardonnay. I myself am a restaurateur with 25 years of experience. It is an oasis in Pankow with a lot of potential and attentive service.

Update: unfortunately a lot has changed after the renovation. It's not nice when I'm reserving a table and asked how long we're staying and whether we're actually leaving the restaurant after two hours. The food still tastes good, but if I feel like I have to eat quickly because the next person is already waiting for our table, then it doesn't score any points for me. There were four of us there on Saturday evening and it worked without any problems with a reservation. (At lunchtime it would also be possible without a reservation.) The food was very tasty, fresh and wonderfully prepared. Everyone found something in different flavors. I can only recommend the homemade lemonade. The service is very polite and helpful. All in all, I'm glad we live close by. We will be happy to come by more often.

My son's favorite restaurant. We go there often. The food is very delicious. Only lastly the wontons were not as good as we otherwise know from this restaurant. Whatever can be. Four of us dined there on a Saturday with a prior reservation. The waitress immediately came to meet us and assigned us a table. 13 minutes later she came to pick up the drinks, which arrived shortly after. Then our food was taken, including a starter (saki skewers), which were brought warm to the table after 10 minutes. The food was very tasty and the portion was enough to fill you up with a starter. Unfortunately everything is garnished with sesame, which I personally don't like. Not everyone likes these grains all over them. The prices are in the upper range. You pay €7 for homemade lemonade, as well as for the creme brulee. ... We paid together for 4 people around 140€ plus tip. All in all it was a nice evening.

Nice location in the middle of Pankow. Emotionless service. Unfortunately the food has nothing to do with Vietnamese cuisine. For example, we had the worst summer rolls ever, the rice paper was tough like leather, the filling consisted of half a bunch of rocket and noodles with a slice of chicken breast. The main courses were filled with lots of salad and far too few vegetables. A pity.

Nice selection of dishes. We initially came there because we saw pictures of Sushi in Google, however this place no longer offers sushi. But the other dishes we tried were good. The prices were IMHO higher as usual in this area, but the main dishes are really large and satisfying. It's quite well located, near a tram station. It's recommended to reserve a table before coming.
