We were a large group. Everyone enjoyed the food, and we felt it was good value for money. The service could be improved, but overall we were happy with our experience.

There's not much to say: Good service and delicious food, even if you order something shortly before closing time.

The food was okay, but I've had better. I've ordered crispy duck several times before, and it was better than here. The staff preferred playing on their phones to dealing with customers.

We were there on the weekend and, unfortunately, the experience was only mediocre. The rice was very sticky, and the chicken seemed to be swimming in sunflower oil. The portions were also quite small. That would be fine for a bistro, but you expect significantly higher quality from a restaurant.

The food is good, but the service is a lottery. It can go well or it can go badly. Orders are forgotten, some dishes arrive much later than other guests', special requests were promised but not implemented - we already had everything. Especially with larger groups (anything from 6 people), they seem overwhelmed. It's a shame, because the service is actually friendly.

The service was very reserved. The glass noodles were rubbery, the crispy duck was very crispy and cold, and seemed a bit old. When I told the waiter that the food didn't taste good, he laughed and simply replied, "Next time you can order something else." The icing on the cake was when two guests with dogs were left in a restaurant next to us.

Super delicious food. From the outside, we weren't too sure what to expect. But then we went in and were absolutely thrilled. Great atmosphere, really delicious food, and the drinks and food arrived super quickly after we ordered.

I was truly impressed by Thanh Nam in Berlin. Upon entering the restaurant, you're immediately struck by the cozy atmosphere, which makes you feel immediately welcome. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, making you feel like you're in good hands. I was particularly impressed by the wide selection of dishes – from classic Vietnamese specialties to creative vegan versions. A real highlight for me was the vegan duck: wonderfully crispy, aromatically seasoned, and combined with fresh vegetables and herbs, a taste experience you won't soon forget. The other dishes were also freshly prepared and full of authentic flavors. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right here, and the quality is impressive all around. I highly recommend Thanh Nam to anyone who loves Vietnamese cuisine or is curious about it – especially if you're interested in trying the vegan duck.

SUMMARY Ordered via Lieferando for the third time since 2025. Fast, hot delivery, even on Sundays. The food is twice as expensive and about 1/4-1/2 less than at our restaurant, but tasted just as good. This time, however, I was very disappointed with the taste. Among other things, my boyfriend's portions differ greatly each time. The first two times (since 2025), the food was good to very good. The last time (September 2025), unfortunately, it wasn't. (Around 2016, the food was not good at all, and the restaurant had a bad reputation. Perhaps a change of ownership now?) FOLLOWING DISHES TOTAL TRIED - "Fried Noodles, Crispy Duck/My Xao/#28", every time (3) - "Various dishes", 3 times in total, this time "Cc Hoi Nuang/#46", - "Gyoza with Meat/#15", every time (3) - "Sushi - Mini Crispy Roll/#194", 1 time FOOD REVIEW SEPTEMBER 2025, 3RD TIME The fried noodles were very dark brown when opened, smelled and tasted very burnt, as if you were actually licking the grill grate after grilling. They were inedible for me; luckily, my boyfriend swapped with me, even though he's not really into noodles. TASTE - Fried noodles themselves were okay, nothing special, the same everywhere. This time, however, unfortunately, they were inedible for me. Despite the menu listing, no vegetables were to be found. - His salmon, served with rice and vegetables, was very bland. - The gyoza with meat were always very good. - I even enjoyed the fried sushi rolls, even though I don't like sushi that much. SERVING SIZE My noodle dish is always only half the size of my boyfriend's. I had a total of one package, three-quarters full of noodles + one chicken dish, while he had one package of rice (approx. 100 g dry weight) + one package of my size of vegetables, which was even filled to the brim with many varieties. For now, we'll order elsewhere. It's a waste of money (this time around €50 for two people) because of the burnt noodles.

I ordered takeout, and it was very chaotic because they forgot to pack the sushi. I noticed it at home and went back to the store and politely pointed it out. They treated me like a criminal trying to rip them off. At some point, they noticed that there was still sushi on the counter, and they didn't know where it belonged, and that it was mine...

Despite the sweltering summer temperatures inside, they're unwilling to set up fans...and then there's the loud, irritating activity with no consideration for the guests...for us, this was definitely our last visit here!!! Update from June 12, 2025...it may be true that the duck and its feathers are on the plate, but the fact that even after a complaint, there's no response, such as "repair," has led me to decide to avoid this place permanently!!! I had the 47 Bo Nuong. The meat (steak) was absolutely not good, tasted like it had been sitting for a day or two too long. The vegetables were partly fresh, partly pre-cut with an unpleasant aftertaste. I could be wrong about the freshness, of course, but I liked it that way. The sushi was partly dry, partly stale (dry edges on the avocado). The kids' menu was served with "crispy fried chicken breast fillet," which is nothing more than a schnitzel, but very dry and more breading than meat. Accordingly, it was soaked with frying oil. The Vietnamese coffee was good, though, as was the mango lassi. I'll be back to try Pho Bo; maybe that will save it :) The dishes were very high quality.

No, we haven't had such bad food in a long time!!! The noodles only tasted like soy sauce and sprouts. Nothing else, no vegetables. The side salad without any dressing and already slightly dried out. The decoration (carrot as a rosebud) had seen better days and we immediately put it aside.

It serves quick-cooked Asian food in a takeaway setting

We almost always just ordered here and were impressed by the food. So we ventured out with friends to eat there. And let me say, the food is good as always, but the service is subpar. We ordered 2x warm food and 2x sushi (4 people). The hot food came at some point, we waited a long time for sushi. The company next to us and another table got their sushi orders even though they came and ordered much later. At some point the 2 with the hot food had already finished their food and we still had nothing. Then the plates came, they were put down without another word. Overall, I have the impression that there are untrained, disinterested waiters here. Sometimes I saw at neighboring tables that the guests themselves cleared away the dishes and brought them to the kitchen. We will probably continue to order from time to time and no longer come on site.

The food was tasty, nothing more. Some of the salad looked wilted. The service left a lot to be desired. We had ordered, among other things, 1 bottle of water, it was placed on the table unopened. I asked the waitress to open the bottle and they did. We had to pour it ourselves. I don't know anything else like that. We spontaneously ate here on a Wednesday evening and were lucky to get one of the few free seats shortly after 6 p.m. After the meal it was clear to us why: everything is right here: good value for money, delicious food, good and friendly service and a varied menu. Clear recommendation!

You actually feel comfortable here, but unfortunately this restaurant is not suitable for allergy sufferers - especially not for people with seafood or fish allergies. I looked at the online menu in advance and chose a suitable dish. However, once I got there I noticed that the allergens in the printed menu were different. If I hadn't checked again, I would have accidentally eaten a dish with allergens! It would be important to revise the information because this can be life-critical for allergy sufferers - or at least prevent a hospital stay. I ended up ordering a vegan dish but still got allergic symptoms. It's a shame because my companions found the food delicious!

Normally we like being here. The food tastes good and always looks beautifully prepared. The furnishings are very tasteful. BUT: The table was full of crumbs that weren't wiped off. Some device was standing around in the entrance area, the employees or friends, family or whoever were hanging around at some tables, chatting or playing on their cell phones. We were at the restaurant around 9:30 p.m. It is open until 11 p.m. on weekends. There were two other guests there. So, just to be on the safe side, I asked if it was okay if we wanted to eat something else (it was still 1.5 hours). We were allowed to sit down, but I felt like it would have been better if they could get off work soon. At around 10:20 p.m. I was still eating my soup and was asked to pay. In the middle of eating! That doesn't work at all!!! Guys, think about it and refuse if someone comes 1.5 hours before closing time. We didn't even chat or waste time there, we just ate. One thing is clear, the next restaurant will definitely be different!

Unfortunately we can't give more stars because it was bad all around. First a word about the cards. I don't know when was the last time I had such broken and greasy cards in my hand. The first waitress had to cough a lot and unfortunately always coughed into her hand (I actually wanted to leave again, but my two companions wanted to stay). I really didn't want the typical relatively greasy sauces (usually curry or peanut sauce) and because the next table had just had some nice-looking fried vegetables with meat on top, I asked the waitress if these were the wok vegetables and got the answer : yes. I ordered this with duck cross. My companions had the chicken with plum sauce and the crispy tofu. The chicken with the plum sauce came first and then, after a delay, my “wok vegetables”. It wasn't what I wanted and I told this second waitress and she immediately said: "You misunderstood!" I replied that I had asked about it and that it's hard to misunderstand a "yes"?! I then got the answer: "The waitress who took the order didn't understand my question." Wow, what a reason! Very comforting! They definitely didn't want to change the food. As she left she said that the salmon would be coming soon. Salmon? My companion is vegetarian. We didn't order that. There was no way to change it either. So we had to order a fourth meal and were then allowed to take the salmon with us later. The supposedly crispy tofu ended up not even being browned on the outside. All three of us had exactly the same vegetables, and there was very little meat in the meat dishes. Asian spices were also somehow missing. The vegetables tasted like they came from the frozen bag into the water and then onto the plate. Not even the so-called wok vegetables (the vegetables had different names) had a slightly browned spot. And this brown sauce, which was the same for every meal, was not tasty. The beer price was incorrectly marked on the menu and my "Sex on the Beach" tasted like syrupy water. (Genadine) All in all, it wasn't recommended at all. There really are better alternatives in Berlin!

In this restaurant, the employees are unfriendly, distant and prefer to play with their mobile devices hidden behind the counter instead of dealing with the customers! This has nothing to do with service! The food is good. However, the portions have become smaller here too!

Only the quality of the selected dishes met our expectations. The welcome was brief, the dining room was not exactly warm at 18°C ​​(visible from a heater). Our drink/food requests were only accepted after a long wait. The dishes chosen (sour hot soup and rice with wok vegetables + beef or Pho soup with mint and beef + jasmine rice, plum sauce, vegetables and crispy chicken) were very well prepared and tasted. We only recommend this restaurant to a limited extent.

I've eaten here several times this year, mostly in the garden in the summer. The food tastes excellent. However, I was disappointed yesterday. The main course, which I have already ordered, has become smaller but above all the service is disappointing. The smiles now seem to be taxed, at least I didn't get a single one despite friendly communication and praise for the food and after paying with a generous tip, the waitress abruptly disappeared without a farewell greeting or eye contact. I prefer to spend my money where I am valued as a customer!

There were four of us who ate here and I have to say that the food tasted very good, but unfortunately we weren't impressed by the service. Because there weren't that many guests there, we waited for three quarters of an hour for our starter. Guests who came after us had already finished the main course . After informing the staff, they only said that it would be coming soon. Perhaps they would have been more accommodating and not bring the main course and starter at once. You should also clean or wipe the tables a little better after the guests leave.

We have enjoyed being guests here for over 5 years. The food is always very good and we enjoy all the dishes. In summer, your own drinks are great and refreshing. Unfortunately, the last order also went wrong...delivered 2 hours early because they wanted to close earlier, lucky we were already there, because there was no prior request as to whether it was possible or whether we would rather cancel. One meal was completely missing and another was also wrong. In addition, the in-house delivery driver is not super friendly. A great experience. Called straight away to complain, no one answered... Emails weren't answered either. A great performance. Thank you very much and never again.

I always order online and live 6 minutes from the restaurant. The food always tastes very good. Unfortunately the service has become catastrophic and the waiting times are between 45-1.5 hours! Sometimes something is missing or the supplier doesn't have the right change. Today I ordered again and after calling twice and 1 hour 45 minutes. Waiting time and the information that I should wait a little longer, I ordered here for the last time! Where is the best place to start... Maybe I should start by saying that I'm extremely disappointed. I made a reservation for 10 people online and also received a confirmation email. When we arrived I entered the restaurant and was not noticed. The reason quickly became clear to me: football on TV. Okay, I understand. I drew attention to myself and spoke to an employee and told them that we were now there. He didn't know anything about a reservation. There was nothing in the clever little book either. Since there were hardly any guests present, I said that we would like to sit outside anyway. “I'd rather not have everything wet outside because I'd have to wipe it off first” was the reaction. No problem, I'm happy to do it myself. So we put 2 tables together and asked for a rag so we can wipe everything down. We waited in vain. We spoke to the waiter again, then the rag came. We asked for the menu which was brought after 15 minutes. And waited 20 minutes, hoping that we could at least order drinks. After these 20 minutes, we asked for the order to be taken. The drinks came relatively quickly… but 2 out of 11 were wrong. Phew…. We preferred to place the food order straight away… The food also came quickly… but we had to ask for cutlery. At around 9:30 p.m. we were asked to pay because they would like to close now. I asked why it says on the internet that the hotel is open until 11 p.m. on Saturdays. No Answer. We asked for one last round, which we wanted to drink in peace, and we were allowed to do so... 10 minutes later we were finally rudely thrown out. I've eaten here quite often and something like this has never happened before. I was very embarrassed because the restaurant recommendation came from me and everyone was incredibly disappointed, and the good taste of the food didn't help. Lost 10 customers and they were all so disappointed that the word is certainly making the rounds among their friends. So you can ruin your restaurant yourself.

For three quarters of an hour I patiently tried to order a dish three times. When the waitress came to our table for the fourth time after 1 hour without food and an order taken, the patience of me and my 1 and 3 year old toddlers was finally over and we went home hungry and in a bad mood. My experience at Thanh Nam Restaurant was full of ups and downs. Although the ambience was impressive with its cool and dark atmosphere, the service left a lot to be desired. The staff was friendly, but there seemed to be a lack of attention, which somewhat spoiled the overall impression. The food also left room for mixed feelings. Although the quality of the food was satisfactory, it took an unusually long time for the portion to reach the table. When they were finally served, the ratio between price and quantity turned out to be not quite balanced. However, there were also bright spots in my culinary journey. Particularly noteworthy was the passion fruit iced tea with cane sugar and mint, whose taste was very intense. Nevertheless, the joy was somewhat marred by the overabundance of ice cubes, which slightly impaired the enjoyment. All in all, the visit to Thanh Nam Restaurant left a mixed impression. Despite some positive aspects such as the ambience and some culinary highlights, there is definitely room for improvement, especially in terms of service and portion sizes. I will still come back and be happy to see if anything has changed.

When you order take-out you are literally being taken for a ride! Portions are minimal! When you eat in a restaurant, you get generous portions. To take away, not even 35% of what you normally get. I'm falling away from the faith. I have only ever experienced such audacity from Thanh Nam! I'm very disappointed!

We will no longer eat at this restaurant or have food delivered to us in the future. The last delivery a few days ago was an incorrect meal. (Even though it was correctly stated on the bill). After a lot of back and forth, the right food was delivered. There was no apology and no recognition that the mistake was self-made. Conclusion: I can no longer recommend this restaurant. Customer satisfaction is not the focus here. A pity. We are very disappointed. OLD REVIEW: The two of us spontaneously went to this restaurant for dinner today. The food was perfect. Tastes exceptionally good. The ambience and atmosphere was very inviting. Staff very friendly. We were served extremely quickly and attentively. We would definitely like to come back. We can recommend this restaurant without reservation.

Unfortunately, they have catastrophic crisis and quality management. We had an online order and one meal was missing rice. Now you might think it's just the rice, but without rice the food is nothing. Now I called and wanted to hear how it should be repaired. Unfortunately, nothing came of it, only the excuse that they had a lot of customers. I rejected the suggestion to deliver two more portions of rice. I actually wanted to have my food ready in 45 minutes. Especially since I would have had to keep it warm somehow. The four other people didn't want to wait that long again either. So my idea was to cook rice myself and ask for a refund. When I suggested sending a voucher, they initially said he couldn't decide. Then my targeted €5 reduction was traded down to €3. Actually, from my point of view, at least one meal without rice is worthless and should have been reimbursed. To date I have not received the promised €3. All in all, a lot of stress that you actually wanted to save yourself by ordering food.
