My favourite restaurant in Freiburg. It's very atmospheric. The staff is polite and attentive. I especially like the cuisine of this restaurant. It is always delicious and beautifully served. I will definitely come back here again.

Everything tasted great; Unfortunately, plates were cold and so were the main courses; Service was very friendly.

My favorite sushi restaurant in Freiburg I have visited the M9 several times and am always impressed by the loving and detailed preparation of the dishes. The ambience is extremely pleasant and contributes to an all-round positive experience. The service is also very friendly and attentive. The drinks are served promptly and the waiting time for the food is pleasantly short.

Excellent cuisine! Originally Japanese, but there are other Asian variations as well. My salmon sashimi was served with fragrant Thai rice instead of Japanese sticky rice, garnished with a few healthy seeds. The octopus teriyaki bowl was a total delight. The house tea and non-alcoholic Dark Forest cocktail were also excellent. Very comfortable chairs and easy steps down to the restroom. Hot food served all day, making it ideal for those traveling 450 meters away by train.

The food is really delicious, the service is very friendly but unfortunately abysmally bad.

For me the best sushi restaurant/Asian restaurant in the city. Delicious food, lots of choice. I particularly like the avocado lassi. And the staff is also courteous.

Sorry, We waited a very long time for the main course. After asking several questions, we were told that there was a lot going on. However, the tables that came after us have already all received their main courses. Maybe you should communicate better with the guests. We were never asked once after 3 hours if we would like to drink anything else. There is still a lot of room for improvement. Especially at these prices you should just expect a little more service. Then perhaps if you are overwhelmed in the kitchen, you should send guests away if you can no longer manage it or tell the guests that it will take longer. The quality was otherwise very good. As I said, communicate better with the guests and don't ignore them.

There were three of us there for lunch and we shared the M9 Omakase for two people. Very good quality, looked really nice, I forgot to take pictures, and super tasty. For desert there was mochi ice cream. The staff was friendly and attentive. The three of us really enjoyed it and were hungry for more. The price was also great and reasonable given the quality of the sushi.

The lighting conditions (1st floor) are reminiscent of past dentist visits and evening seminars. Otherwise everything was great!

Yesterday I was in the M9 for the second time. Unfortunately, the extremely positive impression from the first time was not entirely confirmed. This time the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed and it took longer for the food to arrive. While the table next to us came after us, there were 2 more people there and they ordered after us, our food arrived several minutes after theirs. The food was high quality but the price wasn't entirely justified. In Freiburg you can find sushi of the same quality, if not better, for cheaper prices.

I was at the M9 Sushi Grill last week with two other people. We were greeted warmly and the menu came to our table quickly. The restaurant was moderately busy on a Monday evening. Unfortunately, after we ordered various starters (gyoza, edamame) and main courses (various selection of sushi), our bad experiences began. The starters arrived quickly after about 10 minutes and tasted perfectly fine and were beautifully presented. However, the main courses only came about 1:40 hours after we placed the order, even though we had asked. Very unfortunate. We had actually already lost our desire for sushi. From a neutral point of view, the sushi was perfectly fine. We didn't receive an apology or anything like that. It's a shame because the food is really good. Unfortunately, after the negative experience, we cannot recommend the restaurant.

The service was extremely slow and inattentive. We had to wait a long time for someone to take our order. Two different dishes were served on one plate, and the food was brought one by one - one ate while the other watched. Ordering took a long time and guests who arrived after us were served earlier. In the end the change was simply not returned. Unfortunately an unpleasant experience – not recommended.

The food in the M9 Sushi-Grill is really high quality and definitely stands out from the other Asian restaurants in Freiburg. It's better to pay a little more here, but it's definitely worth it. The employees are also very nice and accommodating, I can only recommend them.

The restaurant was quite full that evening - which is a good thing. I would eat here again at any time; therefore a clear recommendation!

We were at your restaurant today around 7:40 p.m. The order was taken quite quickly by the waiter. We expected to receive the order in 20 minutes or less. But no. One hour. We waited an hour for sushi. There were people who came later than us but received their orders much quicker. I was ready to just pay for the drinks and leave. The waiter should warn me if I have to wait longer than usual for my order. Maybe I don't have much time? Finally our order came to us. Tastes okay. Nothing particularly tasty. But I think you can get better quality in an hour. (Photo) In the end my plans were changed due to the long wait. I will never go to this restaurant again.

Top sushi, unfriendly service…what a shame!

This was our second visit to this restaurant and it was even better than the first time! The food was absolutely delicious and the cocktails were outstanding too. We are thrilled with the quality and taste of the dishes. As always, the service was friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back!

We discovered this restaurant during our three-day stay in Freiburg… We are overwhelmed! We go out for Japanese food regularly, but the food at this restaurant blew us away! The dishes are good, especially the fish soup, the Sushi too, but we waited 1 hour between the starter and the main course, and it was sushi…. For me it was too long!

We made a reservation at 8:30 p.m. and arrived at 8:35 p.m., but our table was already taken. We had to wait until we got a new table. Ordering was chaos as the staff barely understood what we wanted - we had to explain everything several times. We waited until 10:20 p.m. for our first sushi. We wanted to split the bill between five people, but that wasn't possible; they insisted that only one person pays. Alternatively it should be paid in cash as they seem to prefer cash. Very disappointing!

Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed yesterday; almost two hours were unfortunately not enough for the 4-course menu, as the third course came after a long wait and only when asked. The main course was apparently forgotten on the stove and was unfortunately completely dry and overcooked. If there had been enough time I would have sent it back. Unfortunately the fourth course fell by the wayside because we had an appointment. We may come back for cold dishes, but certainly not for hot dishes.

We were there on Saturday and were unfortunately disappointed. The biggest point of criticism was the service. If I remember correctly, there were four service staff on duty at the time of our visit and three tables inside and nine tables outside were occupied by guests. The service staff can be described as follows: the princess, the older prince, the younger prince and the worker. We had reserved for 5:15 p.m., but due to the parking situation we didn't show up until around 5:25 p.m. At 5:30 p.m. we were shown to a table and given the card. Here were the first problems: - Due to the uneven external surface, the chair and table wobbled. - The pages of both menu cards are stuck together. I have no idea whether the ink ran again due to the heat (30°+) or what the reason was, but you can't really offer cards that dirty to a guest. (- The ambience was spoiled by the fact that there was a shisha bar next door, whose guests also smoked outside and loud techno music was also played) Then the service desert began for the first time. Until 5:58 p.m. (28 minutes!!) the princess and the younger prince walked past our table several times without taking our initial (drink) order. But you could often see how the princess flirted with the older prince. 2 minutes more and we would have gotten up and left again. 7 minutes after ordering, the worker brought the drinks. 0.4 liters of cola for four euros is ok. , the homemade Yuzu iced tea lemonade (0.3?l) for €6.50 had a lot of crushed ice and didn't taste like yuzu after a lot. 10 minutes after ordering, the Gyoza appetizer arrived, which looked beautifully presented and tasted OK too. was. Six beautiful, thick slices of sashimi with decoration cost €15. 6 nigiri with thinly sliced ​​tuna cost €19.50. 37 minutes after ordering (we had already been in the restaurant for over an hour) the main course arrived. According to the menu, the rib eye steak should consist of rib eye steak, green asparagus, cherry tomatoes and yuzu sauce. A rib eye steak was served with a mushroom, chery tomato, peppers, broccoli, leek (?) and mashed potatoes. It tasted good, even if something else was ordered. According to the menu, the other main course was Stir Fried Udon (robata fried udon noodles with seasonal vegetables, egg, teriyaki chicken). Udon noodle (not fried) was delivered in sauce with a few vegetables and fried chicken. The noodles were even cooked differently. At around 6:50 p.m. the bill was ordered, at around 7:00 p.m. you could finally pay to the princess (108 euros) and at around 7:02 p.m. you also received the receipt. If the worker had cashed in, I would have been willing to give a tip - but not like that.

It's true that when we arrived the restaurant was full of people... it took them a long time to get the order... we didn't understand each other very well... because I asked for gyozas and they never brought them (I didn't ask for them because with how long it took them to bring the sushi it didn't make sense anymore). ). I asked for a large water and they brought me a 25cl bottle that I didn't even know they made them so small...the fried chicken was delicious (but it's rare that it's bad) and the sushi was average...in total about €73 for two people, which I thought a lot for the normal sushi and especially because I was left hungry.

The food is perfect and delicious. The Moriawase, featuring one of the best salads we've tried, was a perfect blend of flavors — not too sweet or salty, warm, and cooked to perfection. The Sashimi was equally good. Unfortunately, I was billed 20€ more than I ordered. And sadly, I realized that later and didn't have a paper bill to recheck this. Edit: We solved this issue with the M9 Team. It was a human mistake—we were charged for three Moriawase (for two persons) instead of the two that we ordered.
