The restaurant is attractively decorated with Asian decorations, the toilets could use some renovation, but were clean and everything worked. There was no buffet during the week, but you could order a la carte and also the lunch menu. We were pleasantly surprised by the portion size of the menu, despite the cheaper prices. The mini spring rolls were freshly prepared and tasted mild and slightly sweet after the vegetable filling. Delicious. The sauce was too sour for me, but I didn't need any sauce. The main dishes were also freshly cooked, with lots of fresh vegetables and meat and, pleasantly, without a thick sauce. A bowl of rice per meal was included, but that was hardly manageable. The prices for the menus were so cheap at around €10 that we can really recommend them. The service was extremely friendly and the waiting time for the food was moderate. We'll definitely come back.

Delicious food, nice customers, nice design

A real surprise! We chose the lunch menu and were extremely surprised by the quality and quantity of the portion, which is usually a little smaller in the lunch menu. Friendly, nice service, everything was well tolerated, no complaints

Large selection on the menu 😉! Lunch menu with soup or 5 small spring rolls + sauce. Large and tasty portion (fresh ingredients) with enough side dishes. Clean toilet. Very nice service. I would recommend it to everyone 😉! Unfortunately, the buffet is only available on weekends and when groups of 10 or more come.

Given a chance so many times. Spring rolls taste like nothing. Fried rice with breaded chicken breast, just add chicken strips. Rice is just a piece of mush.

There's no such thing as being friendly. You have to order drinks, otherwise you won't get anything to eat. It's annoying that kids are constantly coming through the door.

I've eaten here several times years ago and it's always been good. On Sunday evening we arrived relatively late and despite the fact that all the guests had already finished eating, everything was freshly prepared for us upon request.

The food is still hot when we get home and always tastes great

Although there wasn't much going on at this late hour, everything at the buffet was still well stocked and hadn't been kept warm there for a long time. Clear increase in quality. Price performance good.

Today only 1 star because the food from the buffet wasn't warm, it looked delicious, it was just too cold.

In fact, I haven't eaten there for a while, most of them ordered to be picked up by phone, so I can't say anything about the quality of the buffet. The staff was always friendly, the waiting time wasn't long and portion sizes were completely acceptable for the price. I think it tastes good too.

The restaurant offers a fairly good selection of food, which is overall quite okay. The price is completely reasonable and the food is fairly priced. Unfortunately, the ambience is not particularly appealing, which somewhat spoils the overall experience. Another criticism is that the noodles are served with an overwhelming amount of bean sprouts, which doesn't necessarily improve the taste. An adjustment could definitely be made here to make the dish more palatable.

I don't know why there are so many bad reviews. I always liked it very much (yes, I've been to other Chinese restaurants too, but this is still my favorite place). Well, there's no kangaroo meat or anything like that there, as far as I know, but I don't like it either ^^. The staff is very friendly, almost like a family, as we eat there often. The ambience is also very nice, in my opinion. Because of all the space you also have a kind of privacy that I miss in other restaurants.

The operating family is incredibly hospitable and the choice of food is extensive (Chinese/Thai). Buffet has a good price-performance ratio. The restaurant is very spacious and also suitable for larger parties.

In my opinion not recommended at all. Prices on the menu are no longer up to date, everything is more expensive. Food lukewarm and not a big selection. Soups just thickened, but not tasty. All in all, the price/performance ratio is no longer right here. You only get an invoice after requesting it and waiting a long time for it, completely unprofessional. A cleaning would also be appropriate under the food counter. So our impression of the restaurant can only be one star and not a repeat visit.

The friendly and attentive manner in which you are welcomed and served here almost exceeds the taste and quality of the food! Our favorite restaurant for quite some time.

The 4-year-old child HAD to order a drink and, without taking a single bite, had to pay around €4 just to sit (no receipt). When asked: they had seen the child eating and "if the child is nothing, it should stay at home. They don't want to discuss that either."

No one there. Just wanted to drink a Kölsch... The barmaid's answer: You can do that in the pub! Okay! If you don't want to have guests there, I won't eat there either! It's supposed to be a mess anyway.

We used to go to the restaurant regularly, unfortunately the food and staff are no longer what they used to be. It is better to drive a few kilometers by car to Gummersbach, where you will find good Chinese restaurants where you are happy to pay the money.

Guten tag es ist eine Unverschämtheit das essen schmeckt nicht, dazu gesagt habe ich gesehen das auf der Götterspeise schon angefangen hat schimmel drauf zu wachsen. Darauf hin wurden wir die ganze zeit beobachtet. Ich komme ich definitiv nicht mehr hin da gehe ich lieber zum Mongolen nach Gummersbach

Price OK. But would rather pay more and have a little more choice. Salad as a starter was more than poor. Unfortunately the ice cream had already thawed and was so rubbery. Much of the buffet is too thickly fried for me personally.

Würde gerne viel schreiben, fasse meinen Eindruck aber kurz zusammen. Leider nicht so gut, haben vom Buffet gegessen, das Essen war ok, leider beide danach Durchfall. Der Service wirkte nett, jedoch wurden wir beobachtet, was sehr unangenehm war. Bis dann mal jemand vom Service kam und meinte das ich auch trinken bestellen müsste da ich sonst hier nicht essen dürfte. Da wir sehr gerne chinesisch essen gehen muss ich sagen das es hier im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants eine unangenehme Erfahrung war. Wir werden hier nicht mehr essen gehen. Schade

Sehr freundliche, aufmerksame Bedienung, Buffet reichhaltig u großes Angebot. Der Schokobrunnen lacht einen an, aber die Schokolade war nicht mein Geschmack, die schmeckte mir persönlich nicht so gut. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut! Meist sind die Augen größer als der Magen! Ich empfehle kleine Portionen auf kleinen Teller zu nehmen, damit nichts unnötig weg geschmissen wird und wirklich hungrig hin gehen. Viel Spaß!

Ich finde es hier sehr durchschnittlich von der Buffetauswahl. Essen schmeckt aber gut.

Es ist sehr schön und man kann sich sehr wohlfühlen, die mitarbeiter sind sehr nett so das man zwanglos mit ihnen reden kann.

In der letzten Zeit schon sehr oft da gewesen. Immer sehr lecker und zuvorkommend. Ich kann viele Resonanzen nicht verstehen. Der Laden ist top und es wird immer nachgefragt ob alles ok ist, oder bei büffet nachgefragt ob was gemacht werden soll. Hier im Umkreis, absolut mein Lieblings Chinese.

Ich muss leider sagen das Essen war nicht so besonders. Die Ente war schon knusprig. Nur mache Stücke waren so fest, das man Angst haben musste das man seine Zähne verliert.Das Restaurant ist sonst sehr gemütlich und das Personal sehr, sehr freundlich. Vielleicht war heute nur ein schlechter Tag.

Nunja eine Öllache auf dem Schokoladen Brunnen, dreckige Tische, kaum gefüllte Essensboxen die kaum beschriftet sind. Dreckige Teller und Durchfall nach dem essen. Ich glaube das sagt schon alles...

Mein Sohn und ich waren letztens zum Mittagsbüffet hier und trotz relativ wenigen Gästen, war das Büffet sehr gut bestückt. Man hat extra noch gebackene Banane für uns gemacht. Geschmacklich ist das Essen top, ich war oft in Asien unterwegs und das Essen schmeckt genauso lecker, nicht zu sehr europäisiert. Man hat uns auch nicht schräg angeschaut, weil mein pubertierender Sohn einen guten Hunger mitgebracht hat. Sehr freundliche Leute, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Aufgrund der zum Teil sehr negativen Rezensionen sind wir neugierig geworden (ja, richtig gelesen) und haben heute mal persönlich getestet. - Freundlicher Empfang - Aufmerksamer Service - Sehr nette und zu Späßen aufgelegte Bedienung ohne Sprachbarrieren - Menü a la carte, frisch zubereitet (wir saßen an einem Tisch mit direktem Blick in die Küche) Kurzum, hat uns alles sehr gut geschmeckt (übrig Gebliebenes wurde am Tisch für uns eingepackt und durften wir mit nach Hause nehmen). Preis-/Leistung Top Die negativen Rezensionen können wir nach unserem heutigen Besuch nicht nachvollziehen. Wir wurden mehrfach gefragt ob alles in Ordnung ist. Anmerkung: Nur Barzahlung, Geldautomat ca. 50m entfernt. Wir kommen gerne wieder! Besten Dank!

Die in den letzten Tagen negativ verfassten Rezensionen haben mich zutiefst erschüttert. Wohlwollend den Verfassern gegenüber formuliert sind die Beiträge geschäftsschädigend und ehrabschneidend, dem Niveau der Verfasser angepasst stellt es mehrere juristische Tatbestände dar. Unglaublich, was sich diese Personen erlaubt haben! Das Lotus Restaurant wird von unserer Familie seit Jahren besucht und nie wurden wir enttäuscht. Bitte, liebe Inhaber, lassen Sie sich von diesen böswilligen, feigen und falschen Rezensionen nicht entmutigen. Viele, viele Waldbröler stehen hinter Ihnen und sind dankbar, dass es hier im Ort ein Restaurant wie Ihres gibt.
