I've already been to Leipzig, Regensburg, and Ingolstadt. But the pizzas there are amazing. I'll refrain from commenting on that one.

This restaurant is one of a kind. The food is incredibly delicious, with a wide selection of Italian specialties. Stopped in here for lunch after taking the train from Wernigrode, didn't have a reservation, but the staff happy to accommodate us on a very cold day. The staff attending to us (family of 4) were just the most lovely and engaging! That really makes it for all of us. The food itself was really top tier, and they accommodated my wife's request for a very small portion of tiramisu. Cost? Incredibly reasonable I felt for 4 mains, 4 desserts, cocktail's & 2 rounds of coffee. If we ever find ourselves in Magdeburg again, we will be back. 10/10. Perfect ❤️

One of the best food places I've been to in a long time ! We came to Magdeburg for the Christmas markets and the original place we went to was packed, but we found L'Osteria on the off chance and we weren't disappointed ! Me and my family were a couple minutes early from the opening time, but the young gentleman very kindly let us sit inside and get settled to escape from the cold. He was very polite to offer us English language menus and he was very upbeat and friendly which makes a dining experience so much better! We have several pasta dishes and oh my god! It was one of the best things I've eaten in such a long time, I had the steak and pepper pasta and it was so mouthwatering. My family enjoyed their food dishes too and the cocktails they had were outstanding ! To top it off we had dessert, and my mum only wanted a small tiramisu portion as she can't have too much sugar, and they provided a "piccolo" tiramisu for her to enjoy which was so thoughtful and really considerate. Even the coffees we had were god tier and just warmed our hearts We loved every second of this restaurant and i highly recommend L'Osteria to anyone who's visiting the area. You can't beat class, comfort and good vibes ! 🫶🫶🫶✨️✨️✨️

Whether it's Leipzig, Magdeburg... always worth a visit. The tiramisu is highly recommended. I don't know how you make it so good... but it's delicious.

I ate the giant pizza for the second time. It's way too big, and the edges get cold and dry quickly. It's also difficult to cut. A normal size with a softer dough would be better. The pasta, on the other hand, was tastier.

An absolute disaster – how could anyone be greeted so rudely? If that spoiled brat has any say there, then good night for the restaurant. When asked if we should leave, the lady simply replied, quite dryly, "Whatever." We left before we even got to order… The Italian restaurant at Uniplatz gave us a very friendly welcome. Looking for a place for a quick Italian lunch at short notice. Googled it, went in, and liked it. Despite not having a reservation, we got a nice window seat. The dining room was quite full, but the atmosphere was pleasant. If you're looking for a bit more privacy, you should make a reservation or look for somewhere else. The food was typical Italian fare, with good value for money considering the location. The pizza for €15 was truly enormous. The service was friendly and efficient. The seating and restrooms were clean and well-maintained. Thank you.

I ate there today and was very disappointed. My Sprite was completely flat, the lasagna was burnt on top, and the cheese had greenish spots that looked like mold. There wasn't even any bread – neither as a starter nor with the lasagna. On top of that, the pizza chef's friends were hanging around the counter the whole time, going in and out and constantly chatting with the staff. It seemed very unprofessional and disruptive. Overall, it was an unpleasant experience – I wouldn't recommend it.

The food is great, but I'd barely been sitting down for five minutes when I got into an argument with a listless, unprofessional, and incredibly rude waiter. The ambiance was okay, a bit like a train station, but there were lots of young people as guests, which I found very pleasant. Edit to my reply: You only get one chance to make a first impression. Your waiter's behavior is symptomatic of the ever-decreasing service culture in this country. The "money-maker" is becoming a nuisance. You'd do yourself some good to look at other countries. The quality of the food can't save it if I'm already fed up with the food.

As a Spaniard and lover of Mediterranean cuisine, I've never experienced such poor quality brunch pizzas. Pizzas with no toppings and just a single egg in the middle! But people are so eager to learn how to make pizza – what's that thing even called?! You pay 25 euros for such awful food. You arrive at noon and the lasagna is still gone, the desserts are already gone and aren't being refilled. If you're not going to offer quality, you should just stop. I've never eaten such a badly made pizza – with so little topping, dough, tomatoes, and only ONE EGG FOR THE ENTIRE PIZZA! 🤣🤣🤣

I ordered two dishes from Wolt at 9:35 PM. Wolt notified me that the order might not be accepted, so I waited. The order was accepted eight minutes later. At 11:04 PM, I then received a message that it had been rejected after all. I waited for over an hour, only to be told by customer support that the restaurant had closed. What's the point of having opening hours until 10 PM if they're not willing to deliver after 9:30 PM? They should adjust their opening hours instead of making customers wait for over an hour believing their food will still arrive. Very disappointing and truly awful service.

We had a shared pizza - half one, half the other - it was incredibly delicious and there was so much of it that we each got full from one half :)

I went to L’Osteria Magdeburg today (November 8th, 7:00 PM) with a companion for dinner and was treated extremely rudely and questionably by the waiter. The employee (blond/reddish hair, glasses, beard, stocky build) initially left us standing in the entrance area after greeting and accepting our reservation (it was 6:50 PM), while other guests (who all arrived after us) were seated politely. The only thing he said was, “The table will be ready in a moment.” There was no suggestion of going to the bar or even a “please wait here for a moment.” When I inquired about this, the response was simply, “You made a reservation for 7:00 PM – it’s not 7:00 PM yet.” It was 6:57 PM. When we were finally shown to the back, he seated a couple who had arrived after us first, casually arranged their table, and then simply gestured to our table with a hand: “Here you are.” Not a glance, not a smile, not a single word of courtesy. ... I'm half-Italian – and I look it. For an Italian restaurant, which is supposed to be known for its openness and warmth, such behavior is shameful, completely inappropriate, and highly questionable. This kind of treatment has no place in the restaurant industry, especially in an international establishment like L'Osteria. Therefore, unfortunately, no tip and only one star – the waitress, however, was very, very nice.

There were two of us without a reservation, and only the front inner area was open, so it was quite full. Unfortunately, ordering vegan cheese on the pizza only worked after a lengthy discussion. L'Osteria even offers this option online. It was probably due to the language barrier we encountered. The pizza itself, however, tasted excellent!

Unfortunately, our visit to L’Osteria Magdeburg was very disappointing. Despite booking well in advance, we were given a terrible table, right in the middle of the aisle, directly in front of the kitchen door, even though there were several empty tables in the restaurant. When we politely asked for a different table, the owner was unfriendly and refused to give us a better/different spot – instead, other guests without reservations were later seated at the empty tables. This really upset us and left a very bad impression. It's a shame, because we had been looking forward to a nice evening.
