Review – L’Osteria Cologne Deutz (Lunch) I went to L’Osteria in Cologne Deutz with a colleague for lunch. The atmosphere is, as usual, modern and lively, but the large space can get quite noisy – not ideal for a quiet lunch. The food was okay: The pizza was, as always, very large, the crust thin and crispy, although the toppings could have been a bit more generous and fresher. The pasta was solid in taste, but not outstanding. Prices were within the usual range – okay for lunch, but not exactly a bargain. The service was friendly, but a bit slow at times, even though the restaurant wasn't full. In conclusion: You can go for a quick, average lunch with Italian flair – but don't have high expectations.

We always come here to eat pizza. You can choose two different types of pizza, which is great for those who are undecided and those who want to try out different flavors. My visit to the L’Osteria Cologne trade fair Ladies and Gentlemen The service during my visit was quick, but there was a problem - neither with the food nor with the service itself, but due to another situation. During my stay in the outdoor area of ​​the L’Osteria Cologne trade fair, I unknowingly sat on a chair that had chewing gum on it. After I pointed this out to the staff and showed the stain, which was unfortunately quite large, all I received was a knife to scrape it off and the advice to try using hot water. Neither management was consulted nor was I offered alternative or accommodating measures. I am aware that outdoor contamination can never be avoided 100%. However, I felt that the handling of the problem was not professional. For further information I am gladly at your disposal. Best regards Mike

Pizza so thin and a little bit full

I have rarely experienced such a poorly organized L'Osteria with such overwhelmed staff. We had reserved a table for 6 p.m. but arrived 15 minutes late due to a train delay. I tried to let you know by phone, but wasn't put through at all. When we greeted us, the receptionist was unfortunately very rude and rude, but in the end she gave us the table. We then quickly decided and ordered. Our appetizer came before we even had drinks. In general we had to wait an incredibly long time for everything. The bruschetta bread was nicely toasted, but the tomatoes were ice cold, as if they had just come out of the fridge. Our main courses arrived with a difference of more than 15 minutes. The pizza basically only arrived when the pasta and salad had already been eaten. Tables that arrived well after us received their food before us. After I paid the bill without leaving a tip, all the staff treated us like scum. The cappuccino came later again, even though we had clearly stated that we had to leave quickly. There were also no cookies or sugar and we were finally able to say goodbye. I will definitely never come to this L'Osteria branch again. I'm used to better things from Aachen or Düren!

Thank you 1st year ago!!! 1.⭐️😑 We were there as a family. I wanted to order a dish (spaghetti marinara) that I always eat at other Lostaria places. Here it was said that the court didn't exist and even when I showed a picture it was denied and expressly said that he knew everything and he didn't have to ask anyone here. I asked another waiter who was friendly and spoke German well and he immediately knew what I meant. Since then the waiter has been really rude to us. The meal also took a long time. He really blatantly ignored us with baby at the table. The food was so spicy that it no longer tasted good. Well, the second time, the same problem with the service. Although we live nearby and enjoy going to Lostaria, we will never go into the store there again. It's a shame something really needs to be done to the staff and kitchen.

Saturday 9:30 p.m. after the Final4: without a reservation we would have been sent away, even though there was space and the opening time was until midnight. Food was only available until 10 p.m. The kitchen has already cleaned everything up and all free tables have been completely cleared away. We let food go back because it was the last thing left. However, the waiter was very friendly. Unfortunately this year it was a failure. Next year we'll go somewhere else.

I'm not a fan of offensive jokes about Poles told to me by the waiter. The waiter with dark hair and beard, short and rude, mentioned that he was from another country. The situation took place during this year's FIBO2025 fair. I advise against it, due to the jokes mentioned above. He stole my glasses from the table and laughed that "Ich bin Pole" (I am Polish). Man, what's wrong with you?! After reading the comments, I see that this is not the first time this has happened and you haven't done anything about it yet. Way to go!

Very nice staff, great food 👍. Unfortunately I had to complain about the Kölsch once because it was significantly below the calibration mark. At €4.50 per Kölsch, you should pay attention to this! Of course the waitress didn't like that at all 🤷‍♀️. Very loud background noise.

Not recommended if you then want to go to a major event in the Lanxess Arena. Were there 2 hours before the event started to get the evening off to a nice start. Unfortunately, the store couldn't cope with the masses of guests. We had to cancel our meal again because we didn't have time to eat it. Thought that the store would work faster if the reservation was automatically limited to 1.5 hours. In addition, the ambience suffers because you literally have to shout at each other to be understood due to the high volume. Despite rejecting the food order, the service remained friendly. Drinks were okay.

With 6 people today, we waited 1.5 hours for 4 pizzas, 2 pasta, drinks took 1 hour, no waiter came to the table, you had to call them from afar and you were just put off, just ridiculous

We always enjoy coming to this L'Osteria, but today we were just unlucky! After we had been waiting for our food for an hour and all the people who came after us had already had their food for a long time, we asked the waiter what was wrong with our order. Unfortunately he had mistakenly only booked our drinks for us, so we had to order everything again after waiting for over an hour. The waiter then promised us a second drink on the house, but that didn't happen for me and my friends and unfortunately he didn't think of bringing us anything else as compensation. Very unfortunate. However, the new order came quite quickly and efforts were made. The food was also, as always, delicious. Still, it's a shame because we were really hungry.

Just a little too neutral and sterile but everything works and food is good. At last time they were missing some ingredients but our waiter informed about that right at the star

Be sure to try their pizzas. If you include hot oil in the service, it turns out wonderful with the sauce. I say this as someone who doesn't like carbohydrates, but it gets very busy, make sure you make a reservation.

We asked for tap water. Cologne water is safe to drink. It's wasteful to buy bottled water when tap water is healthy and safe. They said no. So much for the environment and sustainability. Margins come first. Then, the server brought us plates. One plate had another guest's lunch still stuck to it. She took it back, never apologized and never brought us another. Then, she sat at a table behind us and started to stuff her face with 5 or 6 other employees. She never asked us if we needed anything else. When it came time to pay, the server was still stuffing her face with a group of other employees, while those still working complained that they were overwhelmed. Not my problem. Poor organization and discipline. We visited L'Osteria at Heumarkt. It was wonderful! Delicious, respectful and they brought tap water without hesitation. Avoid this location if you don't want to be needlessly irritated by entitled, lazy employees who believe the restaurant diners are there for them, rather than the other way around. There are so many wonderful alternative places to eat in Cologne. NEVER AGAIN! After everything was done, they asked for a tip! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Apart from the fact that there was no more non-alcoholic wheat beer on a Sunday evening, everything was fine.

It is recommended to eat here when participating in IDS. You can invite friends from manufacturers to have a dinner here. The atmosphere is relaxed and noisy enough, which is very suitable for eating loudly, chatting and drinking. The pizza is big but it is just right for a boy to eat.

The dishes are without exception delicious, the staff are quick and friendly every time, and the dazzling ambience is very positive and open, the furnishings are comfortable, also nice for our children. We always enjoy coming back.

We were here for dinner and felt very comfortable. We were warmly welcomed at the entrance and - because our table was not yet free - asked to go to the bar. Less than 5 minutes later we got our table, where we were looked after very nicely. There were two half pizzas and delicious wine (house bottled) for us. The only criticism is that the pizzas could be better and more evenly topped.

Why do you always have to make the music so loud? You can hardly have a conversation without shouting. Unfortunately my salad wasn't that good either. The half avocado (you can see a whole one in the photo) was rock hard and in this consistency the avocado has no taste and the quinoa - well. I also had to look for cherry tomatoes. Better eat pasta again next time.

Had dinner there yesterday. Very tasty food. Orders taken early, friendly, quick despite being busy. Ambiance overall very nice, but the plastic chairs were a bit uncomfortable to sit for long periods of time and the table arrangement is a bit cramped for my taste. All in all, completely fine.

Tasty starter with fresh tomatoes and warm, crispy bread. Huge pizza with fresh ingredients! If you're eating a little, you should share it because it's really big. Tasty risotto and plenty of it. Very good tiramisu, one of the best I've ever had. We didn't book a table but we only had to wait about 5 minutes to find a seat.
