We stopped at the restaurant during a walk on Friendship Island and arrived completely frozen. The restaurant is spacious, and the tables offer plenty of room. The pizza was exceptionally delicious and very generously topped. The service was attentive, friendly, and overall child-friendly.

We were there for New Year's Eve; the atmosphere was great, the service was super friendly, and the food was delicious (except for the homemade ice cream for dessert, which wasn't really a highlight). However, the background music was a bit too loud for our taste. The huge pizza is almost too big; half a pizza would easily be enough. Thank you so much, we'd love to come again.

Worst L'Osteria I've ever been to. The food took forever, and then cold, dried-out pasta arrived. There was still half a lake of seafood water floating on the Pizza Marina.

We were told upon arrival that we should wait 30 minutes, but that we would be given seats at the bar. We waited 40 minutes, then they claimed we weren't even in line. The manager kicked us out because I complained about sitting at the bar for 40 minutes and not being allowed to order a drink. I then loudly wondered when our table would be ready. I was being rude 🤦‍♀️ Completely unacceptable customer service. Please don't go there.

There were six of us for dinner, and we had booked online beforehand, which worked well even on relatively short notice for the same day. The food was delicious, and the portions were more than generous. The restaurant was quite noisy due to the music and many people talking, which meant we also had to raise our voices when we spoke.

The best pizza around, but the service was slow and inattentive, probably due to being too busy. Unfortunately, the pizza was half cold after a long wait. However, they kindly offered us a (mediocre) tiramisu. My main complaint, which I've now made three times without success and without any understanding, is that the music is definitely too loud; it's difficult to have a conversation. I doubt that anyone with so many noisy guests needs even louder music, especially since it's not to everyone's taste.

We ordered three lasagnas and one bruschetta. What arrived were tiny aluminum trays with burnt lasagna, not even the size of a hand, for €13.50 each. The taste was unappetizing – no discernible béchamel sauce, and the extra mozzarella was practically undetectable. The bruschetta came as three tiny slices of bread with a small plastic tray of a tomato, onion, and garlic mix. The mix tasted okay, but the bread was a complete flop. Charging €8.50 for this is, in my opinion, outrageous. The delivery took a very long time, although the delivery driver did apologize. Update: My older child and I now have stomach aches an hour after eating…

We love going there because of the good food, the atmosphere, and the friendly, attentive staff. The prices are reasonable, and in the summer you can also sit outside by the water. ♡

Luckily, we had made a reservation; the restaurant was packed due to the Christmas season. The atmosphere was wonderful, and despite the large crowd, the service was incredibly friendly, with only a short wait, which we made up for with a glass of good wine. The food was absolutely delicious, with a variety of dishes, all hot and plentiful. The waitresses were very friendly and even took some photos of us. A truly lovely evening. Thank you so much, and we would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys spending time with such nice people.

Typical atmosphere. Quite open, making it difficult to hear and converse. Loud. In addition, there was very loud music blaring from speakers in every corner. Despite my request, the music wasn't turned down. It was really annoying. Conversation was impossible. A shame. The pizza was, as always, very generous and large. Unfortunately, toppings like tomatoes and arugula were put directly onto the pizza from the refrigerator. As a result, the pizza felt cold. A pity.

The receptionist was incredibly unfriendly and aggressive. It's much better at other locations. Reading the other reviews here shows that this is unfortunately not an isolated incident. Unfriendliness and rudeness seem to be the norm here. It's a shame that the head office doesn't make more of an effort at quality control. As I said, the staff at other locations are very good and friendly.

We stood at reception for eight minutes (50% of us standing in the cold). When I pointed out that it wasn't very nice that we'd been left standing there like we'd been ordered but not picked up, the curt reply was: "These things happen." It was supposed to be a lovely and unforgettable evening with our friends. Unfortunately, it turned into a near nightmare. It started with ordering drinks: no Coke, no Fanta, and no Sprite. And this was on a Saturday night! While ordering and throughout the evening, the music was so loud that we couldn't hear the waiter. We could only manage to shout to each other. Even some of the waiters seemed completely overwhelmed by the deafening volume. The only positive thing was the pizza, which was very good. We've decided that this is a place where you can eat like you're at a train station, but it's not a place for a cozy evening with friends.

Highly recommended, the owner is a great guy. We've been there three times now and will definitely be back. The food is delicious and the service is first-class.

⚠️ WARNING! We were scammed when paying here. If you pay by card, the waiter pre-fills the tip without being asked and only holds the device to confirm. The food was also terrible (the pasta was stuck together, the sauce was lukewarm and oversalted, and otherwise tasteless). Only the pizza was okay. When ordering drinks, the larger glass (0.5l each of cola, water, and apple juice – never!) was always brought without being asked. The waiter was inattentive and unfriendly from the start, with a nasty expression, and everything took far too long. A horrible experience! And all this in a supposedly nice-looking place. But that's all it is. The noise level and music selection were also just annoying. The scam was the final straw. Stay away from this place and check your bill carefully!

Today, after visiting the exhibition at the Barberini Museum, I stopped at L'Osteria, the world's best pizzeria, in Potsdam! The pizzas are as big as wagon wheels and taste incredibly good! The crust is so crispy and thin, and the toppings are divine! The staff is just as friendly and lightning fast. This restaurant is always worth a visit!

We spontaneously decided to visit l'Osteria Potsdam on Monday evening, but we've known the chain for a long time from Berlin. The service here in Potsdam was also super fast and very friendly! We love that we can order a pizza to share from the start (each person can top their half however they like :) ). The pizzas are soooooooo delicious and really huge. Everything was top-notch as always! Unfortunately, the music is always party-loud, making it difficult to have a conversation. We don't like that and don't really understand the "concept." Therefore, we're deducting one star for the ambiance.

Last night, a group of eight of us ate here after luckily reserving a table in advance. The food was fantastic. The pizza was one of the best and biggest I've had in a long time. The other pizza eaters agreed. The pasta dishes were also good. The service was impeccable. The only downside to this restaurant is the noise level. It's noisy simply because of its size and the number of guests. On top of that, the loud music makes conversation difficult and quite tiring. It doesn't matter where you sit; we've eaten at L'Osteria Potsdam several times, and it's always noisy. It would be great if a solution could be found for this...

The four of us wanted to eat outside in the sunshine and about 14 degrees Celsius (57 degrees Fahrenheit). Tables were set up, and menus were on them. After about 15 minutes, without any attention, one of us went inside. "No service outside. You have to come in to order. We don't bring food out." Okay. We didn't want to eat pizza at a takeaway anyway, so we went inside. Another 15 minutes passed at the table without any attention from the three servers. When we said, "We'd like to order some food," the only response was, "Yes, someone will be right there." After another 10 minutes, a young woman shuffled over to us, typing on her phone, and looked at us questioningly. No friendly gesture or expression. We took our order. The food arrived relatively quickly and without any comment. Now for the positives. The food was great. The pizza was huge, the lasagna tasty, and the salad crisp. We paid using the QR code on the table so as not to charge the woman any more. Conclusion: probably no further visits anytime soon.

One of the best pizzas I've had here in Potsdam. The vegan version is highly recommended, and there's a wide selection of vegetarian options. I also highly recommend the option of choosing two different halves. You can also get a really large pizza, which is almost enough for two meals. It's also a very nice restaurant.

Very nice, but usually quite loud. This time, however, it was quiet, and we were there quite early for dinner, around 5 p.m.

So, in general, it's really nice here. The staff is dedicated and tries to get everything done quickly. This evening, we sat at a small round table with four people, so the huge, delicious pizzas were peeking over everything. Not ideal for eating. The volume of the music and the customers was quite loud, but you have to be able to tolerate it. 🙂 So, all in all, we would come back, but then we'd like to sit at a larger table and perhaps at a different time.

Popped in for a coffee and a chat but we ended up having pizza for lunch, too. Food freshly made to order was delicious. Restaurant is situated by the canal, so views are not too bad.

Other guests also noticed this. The appetizer took quite a while to arrive, which delayed the entire process. In total, we sat for about two hours from the appetizer to dessert, which was a bit too long for my taste. The service at the end was also disappointing: Our dessert order was overlooked several times, and when we were finally noticed, it was even incorrect at first. Overall, though, a restaurant with great food and a beautiful location – if the service and organization run a little better on our next visit, it will certainly be a real highlight.

A very unpleasant restaurant visit on October 7, 2025. The restaurant benefits from its beautiful location on the Havel River and is generally very busy. Therefore, it's certainly a good idea to make a reservation in advance. But why a "table manager" isn't able to provide three people with a table at 5:45 PM for a period of about an hour where they can eat the three large pizzas in a reasonably decent manner on a "normal" Tuesday, even with a high percentage of reservations for later in the evening, is beyond me, especially since almost 80% of the tables were unoccupied at the time. And the reservations don't all come at the same time. Aside from the truly unfriendly manner of the table manager on October 7, 2025, his willingness to even engage in conversation was definitely not customer-friendly, rather condescending, which contributed to an overall tense atmosphere in the restaurant, which the staff also had to bear the brunt of—all in all, a distinctly unpleasant atmosphere in the restaurant! The absolute inflexibility of the "table allocator," his poor planning skills, and his inappropriate demeanor will contribute to not visiting this restaurant again, let alone recommending it to others.

The women's restroom was absolutely terrible! One of the three was available, but it was completely filthy. The second restroom was dark and locked. The third restroom was open, but without lighting. Service: Ordered at 7 p.m., table wasn't free until around 7:10 p.m. The waiter was great, and the food arrived quickly.

We took a day trip to Potsdam and as we were walking to town from the train, I noticed a pretty café by the river and decided that would be a great place for lunch after some sightseeing. We came back for lunch and were happy to share a very tasty pizza and dine wine. For a picturesque lunch, can't beat the spot on a sunny day.
