To begin with, they gave us a dirty look when we arrived. We ordered a calzone, and it had jalapeños inside, even though the menu didn't mention them. The pasta had some kind of mushrooms that tasted strange and weren't listed on the menu either. But the worst part wasn't even that; the worst part was the service. The waiters were rude and practically threw us out, and the tablecloths weren't changed between customers. The food made us sick, and we missed the chance to try a good place to eat in Potsdam.

We were looking forward to a small, cozy restaurant. Despite having a reservation, we didn't get a table with any privacy. This wasn't a big deal, though. The restaurant was full and busy. It seemed like they were adding more tables for the evening. We had an appetizer (the bread rolls were burnt) and a main course. It wasn't anything special, but it was edible. We hadn't even finished our appetizers when the main course arrived. It was then kept warm, which probably made the lamb very dry. It also had a strong mutton flavor. We mentioned this when we asked, but unfortunately, it was ignored. It wasn't a cozy or particularly enjoyable experience.

The food was awful. We had macaroni with beef tenderloin tips and chanterelles, and a pizza with shrimp. The pasta was hard, the chanterelles tasted like rancid oil, and the pizza only tasted of garlic and cheese with frozen shrimp. The waiter cleared our full plates without even asking for feedback. Then he charged us the wrong price, which we unfortunately noticed too late. We used to go there more often. This time it was truly terrible.

We had a very good meal. The meat platter for two was fantastic! The service was very friendly and entertaining. Definitely a good choice. The price/performance ratio is right.

We had registered as part of a tour group. The food was okay. However, one would have expected a waiter to apologize if he made a mistake and dropped cutlery on a woman's clothing while clearing the table. When I pointed this out, there was only an inappropriate comment. They also didn't ask whether we were paying individually or together. Some of us in the group didn't even know each other, so we were given a joint bill. Quick service, no service.

Well-intentioned, OK, cheap and edible, but definitely not traditional Italian cuisine. If you're expecting German, you won't be disappointed. Disinterested waiters. Mixed salad = iceberg lettuce, and the pizza base was definitely not fresh.

There were two waiters, a younger one and an older one. The young one who can speak english was terribly rude, he grabbed the creditcard from my moms hand, was extremely unpatient and rude.

Let me start by saying that NO ONE is Italian and only the chef speaks it, so it's an "Italian" restaurant. What was my experience? Frozen supermarket pizzas with toppings added on top. Decent meat. We didn't have the pleasure of trying the pasta. Very good beer. In conclusion... "A screwdriver and a ladder... VIKING" cit.

The food is edible, but not particularly good. The pizza is frozen and the pasta is undercooked. The server is distracted and somewhat unfriendly. The music is terrible and a bit too loud. Despite the low prices, the value for money is poor.

I think there's a difference between restaurant food and delivery food. This is about a delivery. It worked perfectly for the RV. Full marks for that. We ordered two lumberjack steaks. These were veeeery lean and dry. The salad was completely missing. The beans were fresh, though. All in all, we give it a 3 minus.

A cozy, delicious Italian restaurant right in Potsdam's city center. Great value for money.

The food was a disgrace! I've never eaten so badly. The spaghetti Siciliana, which the menu said was with garlic and parsley, lacked garlic and wasn't spicy either. The spaghetti was swimming in a little red oil? The whole thing was topped with chopped olives and canned chili peppers. The garlic and salt were missing. The waiter reacted rather rudely to my complaint. He told me not to complain so much, after I had also complained about the flies in the vinegar carafe.

The food was delicious, as long as you got what you ordered. There were 12 of us there on two consecutive evenings. Everything was fine on the first evening, but on the second, we got the wrong food five times, and we had to wait forever. The man who served us both evenings could have used more garlic; it would have made the smell more bearable.

Well, in reality, the place was half-nice, but the waiters were very unfriendly and somewhat irritable. I was there with eight people, and one of them ordered a pizza that tasted like pre-made dough and a pasta dish that reminded me of pre-made pasta. Honestly, the quality is better at a snack bar than at this restaurant. The waiter brought us something wrong and was annoyed with us afterward. Well, I don't live in Potsdam anyway, but if I ever come back, I wouldn't come here.

Ribbon pasta – with chanterelles and bacon, or with fillet tips, arugula, and tomato sauce. Both delicious. Service very friendly. Inside, a few things could use a spruce up.

The restaurant is in a very nice location, but: We ordered two dark wheat beers, but instead we got two different types: one was dark, the other was a dark wheat beer. When we asked if the two glasses were the same, we were told yes, although the color difference made it clear that they were two different types. Very unprofessional. For starters, we ordered bruschetta, but unfortunately, we received a very soft baguette with no crust. One side of it was very wet. I ordered beef liver with onions and potatoes, but unfortunately, the potatoes were al dente. My sister ordered pork medallions with croquettes, but unfortunately, the medallions were served steak-sized. They also served two salads. You could easily tell that one salad had been sitting for a long time, wasn't airy and didn't look fresh, and was very roughly cut. The restrooms weren't clean, the lock was broken, and you couldn't close the door. The table was reserved for us until 7:00 p.m., but at 6:35 p.m. we were told to leave because other guests were already inside the restaurant waiting for us. The staff were quite unfriendly and, in our opinion, did their job without any enthusiasm. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this place.

1 hour waiting for food. The pasta was good in flavor but very overcooked. The pizza is nothing out of this world and the sea bream is a bit dry. It's not bad to eat, but if you're in a hurry I don't recommend it. Another 20 minutes waiting for the bill. Disaster.

Simply a typical tourist rip-off for this location. Staff nice, but totally unprofessional. There were no napkins or cutlery on the table, the wine tasted terrible, not to mention the kitchen. I had a sirloin steak, my wife had a starter soup and a pizza. The supper tasted like Maggifix soup, the pizza was dry and my steak was tough because it was obviously cut against the grain. Spices also seem to be completely unknown in the store. Just bad and a waste of money avoid this place!

The waiter was alone and therefore very stressed. We wanted to have a cocktail and he said he couldn't make it because he was alone. The Aperol Spritz was not freshly prepared either, but was a ready-made mix from the bottle. It's a shame because I always associate an Italian with Aperol. The food was solid, but not outstanding. In the end we were full, but we have negative memories of the Italian.

The atmosphere is cozy, you can feel comfortable here. The service was good. We found the food edible, but not very good. The pizza completely lacked the Italian pizzeria flavor. It tasted more like ready-made pizza. The Saltimbocca lacked any sophistication. There were no freshly baked pizza rolls, only soft, store-bought rolls, similar to hamburger rolls. The toilet rooms look run down. Unfortunately we wouldn't eat here again.

Ich habe hier ausgezeichnet gegessen. Mezzelune mit Steinpilzen -eins meiner Lieblingsgerichte. Obwohl ich erst um 20 Uhr ankam und an diesem Abendder einzige Gast war, wurde ich freundlich empfangen und bedient. "Natürlich können Sie hier noch essen, Senora". Das tat gut. Zumal ich zwei Türen weiter abgewiesen worden war mit dem Hinweis, die Küche habe schon geschlossen. Ich komme gerne wieder.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in the city, the food is delicious and the prices are cheap. The waiters are super polite and the atmosphere is pleasant.

If you really want to eat badly and prefer disinterested waiters, you've come to the right place. It doesn't get any worse than that. Ugh

It's a shame that I live so far away, otherwise I would be here more often... highly recommended, the food was very tasty, you can't complain about the prices at all. I'll definitely come back when I'm in Potsdam again.

I ordered 2 takeaway meals today. The fries were still raw, and there was no salad that was included on the menu. Oh, and there was also a surcharge for sales outside the home. So I thought the food was bad and not recommended.

The food is good but the service is poor. One of the waiters was hitting on a teenager, and the other one was trying to pick on us (three teenagers). He was rude, he wouldn't let me sit down because "it's in the aisle" and there were chairs to sit on. He also tried to take my plate away when I put down the half-eaten dish for a moment.

09.11 noon pollo ai aglic and Portuguese pan. Our partner can't tolerate pepper, and the waitress assured us that we would get the food without pepper. Food then contained peppers, was sent back and then came back with an intense pepper taste, peppers had probably just been collected. With the Portuguese pan there was a bowl of spoiled potatoes. Prices ok if the food had been ok. Risotto di mare and tiramisou when we visited on November 3rd in the evening was fine.

CAT IN THE RESTAURANT!! At first we were warmly welcomed and everything made a good impression. Then one of the waiters let a cat into the restaurant and I thought that someone would immediately let it out again. But that didn't happen. I then asked the staff to send the cat back out, but the waiter just asked "why". I explained to him that I was allergic and didn't find it hygienic either! But he just said that the cat was at the other end of the room and wasn't allowed in the kitchen, so that's fine. I should have left straight away, but unfortunately I didn't. When my spaghetti Napoli arrived, the mood didn't get any better. I can also make canned sauce at home. After the conversation about the cat, the waiter no longer paid any attention to us (only when paying), didn't ask if it was tasty or what we were doing. Really not recommended!

KATZE IM RESTAURANT !! Zunächst wurden wir nett empfangen und alles machte einen guten Eindruck. Dann ließ einer der Kellner eine Katze ins Lokal und ich dachte noch, dass sie gleich wieder jemand rauslassen würde. Das passierte aber nicht. Ich bat das Personal dann darum, die Katze wieder hinauszuschicken, doch der Kellner fragte nur "warum". Ich erklärte ihm, dass ich allergisch bin und es auch nicht hygienisch finde! Aber er sagte nur, die Katze sei ja am anderen Ende des Raumes und in die Küche darf sie nicht, also passt das so. Ich hätte direkt gehen sollen, bin ich aber leider nicht. Als dann meine Spaghetti Napoli kamen wurde die Stimmung nicht besser. Soße aus der Dose kann ich mir auch zuhause machen. Der Kellner beachtete uns nach dem Gespräch über die Katze nicht mehr (nur noch beim Zahlen), fragte nicht, ob es geschmeckt hat oder was man halt so macht. Wirklich nicht empfehlenswert!

We were here in the afternoon to have a bite to eat, but I was very disappointed. I've been to the restaurant several times. Was always good. But this time. At first no one came. Then ordered drinks. I was just able to order food when the drinks arrived. The omelet was mediocre. The service was disinterested and gave the impression of being bored. I can also go to the SB Bistro. Too bad.

Ich hatte Spaghetti mit Knoblauch und Petersilie bestellt. Was soll ich sagen, selbst bei einem so einfachen Gericht lief mehr oder weniger alles schief. Die Spaghetti schwammen in einer Knoblauchbrühe von Petersilie keine Spur, dafür Oliven und Peperoni, eigentlich ungenießbar. Dieses „Restaurant“ ist unterirdisch und in keinem Fall zu empfehlen.

The menu is a bit confusing because it does not distinguish vegan from vegetarian dishes. And if you ask the waiter he doesn't know how to answer (he seemed a little "stiff") When in doubt, I ordered pasta with vegetables and tomato, which was quite delicious.

Ordered online and couldn't be more dissatisfied: the saltimbocca, pepper steak and tomatoes with mozzarella were incredibly bad. The only place I've ever had such a miserable meal was at a pseudo-Italian restaurant in Neukölln. Three thumbs down.

Just don't eat here!!! I've never experienced anything like that. After 2 hours the food came. The liver was raw and the fillet was fried to death. There were cherries instead of cranberries with the Camembert - that too without comment! No matter how hungry you are - keep going! There are good restaurants nearby.

Pizza (had Pizza Nadine) was cheap but rather small and not very topped and a bit too salty. My Alster was stale. But you sit in the shade.

The steak was perfect! Number 48 on the menu is an absolute must. The service was nice and polite and also had a sense of humor. The ambience is relaxing and idyllic.

..very disappointing.. miserable service, long waiting times after ordering, 3 out of 10 dishes were simply forgotten, only when asked when everyone else had finished eating did the forgotten order come. I can give half a star for the atmosphere! But that is very generous. NEVER AGAIN !!!!!!!!

As long-time regulars at Contadino at Luisenplatz 8, 14471 Potsdam, we can only give consistently positive feedback. The restaurant impresses in all areas and is one of the best addresses in Potsdam for us. The staff is always friendly, courteous and provides excellent service, which always makes the visit pleasant. The value for money is excellent; The quality of the food is very good in relation to the prices. The dishes are always freshly prepared and taste excellent to us - a real highlight for every visit. The atmosphere at Contadino is also very welcoming and pleasant. It will certainly be even more pleasant, especially outdoors, when Potsdam's city center becomes car-free, but even now it is definitely inviting there. The combination of excellent food, friendly service and a beautiful ambience makes every visit a special experience. In summary, we can say that the Contadino is a permanent fixture in Potsdam for us. We appreciate the consistently high quality and always look forward to a delicious meal in this wonderful restaurant. An unreserved recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy excellent cuisine and excellent service.

The appearance is deceptive. Waiters were bored. The toilets are not tidy, dirty and broken. Our tablecloth was also dirty. For the price, a little more was expected on the plate. But it was still OK. We won't eat there anymore.

The Contadino in Potsdam is in itself a nice shady place to have something to eat. Unfortunately the staff tried to rip us off. The staff spoke very poor German and hardly any English. There were no communication problems when ordering but there were problems when paying. Instead of €13, they wanted to charge €30 (typed into the card reader). When I pointed out the typo to the staff, they became rude and yelled at me. A pity. The food was quite ok.

They charge you more even if you came at lunch time.
