It couldn't be worse, never again, it's a shame that Potsdam has restaurants like this.

Best calzone I've ever eaten. If desired, with egg and without pepperoni. If you are in Potsdam definitely visit and I don't get any commission👍

Food was nice (pizza), if you like arugula this is the place to be, way too much. The front yard isn't really nice. The waiter, well.

After visiting the Karl Foerster Garden, you can visit this restaurant. Delicious Italian food in a nice atmosphere.

There is also a spacious outdoor area with fountains and all sorts of sculptures. The sound of the water calms you down and pleasantly blocks out the noise of traffic. The atmosphere inside is dignified. The food is well sized and tastes excellent. Prices small. Service attentive. Overall, a good place to enjoy food away from home.

I celebrated my birthday here with 15 people. The staff was quick and extremely friendly. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

I ordered a mixed salad with feta cheese (for a mere €8.90) and got a portion of iceberg lettuce (probably from the local Rewe) with half a tomato. I doubt that the sauce was made by myself. Topped with the “mixed” salad with a few chunks of cheap feta cheese. For €8.90 I really expected more. Maybe a few strips of pepper, some cucumber, onions, corn or at least some variation in the lettuce and a few more tomato slices. At least the staff was nice.

Unfortunately, cash payments have only been possible for some time now.

Everything is great here. I had a delicious Pizza Mista and my wife had Pizza number 81. Service very correct. Delicious wheat beer. Recommended!

We were there at lunchtime. It was very empty. The food was very good. Unfortunately the service is not at all. No smile, no asking if you want anything else. Since one plate wasn't even half eaten, we asked for it to be packed up. Eyebrows were raised and mouths twisted. "If you want it that way." was the answer and the food was packaged in this way. Something like that is inappropriate. Too bad!

Lots of outdoor spaces. But it's on a noisy street. The service was good - friendly and quick. The lasagna was mediocre, slightly sour in taste, lots of sauce, little meat and cheese. The bread was dry and didn't work at all.

Really delicious traditional and fresh cuisine!!! I can only recommend it, the staff are super friendly and everything is clean. Definitely worth a visit!!!!

Positive: - enough parking spaces - the service was there quickly and drinks and food were picked up quickly - Both were finished quickly Negative: - the pizza was below average, especially the ham was almost inedible, the whole thing was very oily and very “flabby” in the middle - the liver was so poorly prepared that it almost bordered on a waste of resources, very dry and even harder in consistency - ironically, the manageable amount was almost a relief The service did exactly what it was there for and any empathy seemed very good. Ambience: Everything seemed careless, no material on the tables, nothing that made you feel like you were at an Italian restaurant (outside area) - so you couldn't hear any music Our first and last visit there

Il Castello Potsdam: A disappointment across the board Unfortunately, Il Castello in Potsdam was a complete disappointment on my last visit. The service was simply unacceptable. The waiter who served us was not only in a bad mood but also extremely rude. This contributed significantly to an unpleasant atmosphere. The food itself was also a disappointment. The portions were far too small for the high prices the restaurant charges. You leave the restaurant feeling like you weren't really full. Another negative point is the lack of the option to pay by card. In this day and age, this is simply impractical and no longer appropriate. The entire staff was also extremely unfriendly and unprofessional. What was particularly shocking was an insult we had to listen to when we asked for the bill. The waiter asked us in a condescending tone if we spoke Polish. Such behavior is completely unacceptable and lacks any respect. Overall, I unfortunately cannot recommend Il Castello in Potsdam. The poor service, small portions and unfriendly staff make the visit an extremely unpleasant experience.

The restaurant resembles a pub. The interior is run down. Food is relatively ok. I personally wouldn't come again. But staff was nice.

Food okay for this low price. If you want more quality, you should go somewhere else and dig deeper into your pockets. Portion was okay too, not too much. The plate was not overloaded. You can add some seasoning yourself at the table, as long as there is pepper and salt on every table. Ambience, lots of greenery. We sat outside. It's okay, you can do that for a cozy get-together.

Penne al la pollo, I had to look for the chicken. Drink prices were ok. Unfortunately, I couldn't pay with the card that evening. “The machine was probably just broken today.”

Food is tasty and reasonably priced. Good service and a family touch. As a suggestion: clear separation and demarcation of smokers outside so that the food can develop its flavor and is not overshadowed and spoiled by the smell of cigarettes. But unfortunately this is the same problem outside in every restaurant😠

Because we were standing near here in our motorhome, this restaurant was convenient. It turned out to be a lucky hit. Very nice feel-good atmosphere. Cozy guest room. Full-blooded Italians in service. A menu that couldn't be more Italian. One pizza Napoli, one pork steak with gorgonzola, with salad...great! Top! The prices, for Potsdam, close to the castles, cheap! We'll be back👍

The five of us were at the Castello Potsdam restaurant on Saturday with our family. The ambience is reminiscent of the Italian flair, the service was attentive and courteous. After looking at the menu, the decision was very easy. Beautiful dishes, great prices and the food was also a dream. Thank you for the good hospitality, we will come back.

I can't agree with the bad reviews at all! I have rarely eaten such good Italian food. The service is great and the food always tastes good! A good Italian restaurant like this was missing right here in the area.

Kellner wirkte überfordert, auf erhöhte Kosten wenn ich statt Spaghetti Bandnudeln nehme, wurde nicht hingewiesen. Waren mit ca. 15 Leuten dort Essen. Ich kam später und musste ewig (ca. 20 min) auf die Karte warten. Restaurant war recht leer, bis auf unsere Gruppe. Beim zahlen kam es auch zu höflichkeitsproblemen. Essen lecker, doch rest naja.

Perfect food, good service. The English is not going smoothly, but with a little goodwill on both sides we managed. My only problem is that there is no credit card payment. Overall I recommend the place, it's cosy and offers delicious Italian food.

Sehr leckere Pizza, nette freundliche Bedienung und schönes Ambiente. Der Garten war sehr gut besucht und es kamen immer wieder neue Besucher.

Lokal sieht zusammengewürfelt aus, verschiedene Stühle, alles steht irgendwie. Gartensitzfläche + Garten sah schon vor 10 Jahren renovierungsbedürftig aus. Zum Service ist kaum etwas zu sagen. Es wurde ein wenig brüskiert getan als man keine der 5 angebotenen Vorspeisen haben wollte. In den Nudeln meiner Frau befand sich etwas schwarzes Gewebe von der rauen Seite des Abwaschschwammes und auf meiner Pizza war ein kurzes schwarzes Bart oder Kopfhaar. Alles Sachen die mal passieren können, aber sie trübten den Gesamteindruck nochmals. Preise sind günstig und der Geschmack der Speisen reicht von "kann man essen wenn man Hunger hat bis ist ganz ok für den Preis" Das war nach langer Zeit (mehr als 5 Jahren, wir dachten es hat sich verbessert) unser 3. Besuch, aber es wird unser letzter gewesen sein.

Wir waren freudig überrascht, dass man so freundlich begrüßt wurde. Nach den letzten Besuchen in diversen Potsdamer Lokalitäten, dass man noch als Gast gesehen wird und nicht als die nächste Einnahme. Sehr empfehlenswert, ruhig. Optimal für einen ruhigen Abend für zwei.

Ein sehr gemütliches, ich denke familiengeführtes, Restaurant. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam. Das Preis-Leisungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Gemütliche Atmosphäre Drinnen wie Draußen. Vielen Dank für meine Carbonara "Italiana" (ohne Sahne). Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Super Lage- Bushaltestelle direkt vor der Tür. Draußen ein kleiner Buddelkasten mit Wippen , Rutschen und kleinen Baggern. Perfekt für Kinder. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Wir hatten Pizza, Pasta, Lasagne und Antipasti. Lecker warm und schnell. Bedienung freundlich. Hochstuhl vorhanden. Direkt an der straße und trotzdem grün. Sonderwünsche wurden gern angenommen.

Wir waren seit langer Zeit mal wieder hier essen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und das Essen war sehr gut. Wenn es alles so bleibt kommen wir gerne wieder. Update 20.6.23: Waren heute wieder einmal hier. Essen ist normales italienisches Angebot. Preis/Leistung ist okay. 4 Sterne Punktabzug gibt es dafür, das absolut gar keine Kartenzahlung möglich ist, dies nicht mal irgendwo erwähnt wird, an der Scheibe jedoch ein VISA- Aufkleber vorhanden ist... dies ist absolut inakzeptabel in der heutigen Zeit. Wir waren eingeladen, was dem der eingeladen hat beim bezahlen ziemlich peinlich war da er nicht genug Bargeld dabei hatte. So schnell kommen wir nicht wieder. Da ist der Grieche ca 250 m weiter, besser aufgestellt.

Der Kellner verstand trotz mehrmaliger Ansage die Bestellung nur teilweise oder falsch. Als wir um etwas mehr Brot und Öl baten, würde es zunächst nicht verstanden, dann eher patzig gebracht. Das Carpaccio die Manzo wurde mit Salatdressing (aus der Fabrik?) Übergossen uns schmeckte eigenartig. Meleon e Prociutto wurden inkl. Schale und mit Butterwürfeln? serviert. Die Pasta war nicht frisch zubereitet, sondern schon leicht abgetrocknet. Kartenzahlung angeblich wegen Verbindungsschwierigkeiten nicht möglich. Dann kommt die falsche Rechnung an den Tisch. Unprofessionell und nicht sehr angenehm. Ich war unzufrieden.

Pizza und Salat sehr lecker, Fleisch naja - Knackige Preise und nicht so perfekte Küchenqualität, Weine sind okay, aber gutes Ambiente, sehr freundlicher Service, wir kommen gern wieder.

Wir waren schon mehrfach vor Ort essen und waren jedesmal sehr zufrieden. Das Essen ist super lecker, die Qualität ist sehr gut. Die Bedienung schnell und freundlich. Auch Kindern gegenüber sehr freundlich. Wir sind rundum zufrieden und kommen immer wieder gerne!
