We were guided by the good reviews on the internet and a Potsdam woman who warmly recommended the IL teatro to us. Only after I had drawn our attention, after 15 minutes, did someone come to take our order for a first drink. We wanted to have the aperitif first, followed by pasta and risotto. After 10 minutes we had our food, then the aperitif. When we complained, the waiter said there was a lot to do and that could happen. The risotto was also made with long grain rice. When I pointed this out, the waiter said the dish was of course risotto because it had been on the menu for a few weeks. I ate the dish because I was very hungry, it was the worst risotto without risotto rice that I have ever eaten. Never again!

Absolutely arrogant waiters! When we wanted to pay with our voucher, the waiter became even more disgruntled and didn't ask for the usual Sambucca or something similar. Great location, good food but not recommended due to the disgruntled, arrogant service. We won't be coming back!

This is a great restaurant with great food. I would recommend getting the pasta becouse it vosts around 20€ while everything else is around 40€. The view is also great, looking at the lake shore.

Saturday night. Free tables in the beer garden. We and other guests sat down and were ignored. 6 waitresses and no one came to greet or serve us. After 20 minutes an assistant came and took the order. It was only served after repeated telephone inquiries. There, too, no kind word, no apology. We won't be coming back!

Great location but poor and demotivated service. They don’t seem to be driven to make revenue as 90% of tables were empty at 3pm and they told all are reserved. So they kept on turning away customers. They gave us a table for 2 even though we were 3. Food and beer was ok but service is really poor.

We weren't satisfied. The restaurant has a fantastic location on the water and we were able to sit outside, but the waiters are rude and not friendly. We didn't feel welcome. Rather, we had the impression that we were just making work for the employees. I ordered zander fillet. This had over 20 bones. Unfortunately, the potatoes were old and had already formed a second skin. Unfortunately, there is too much of a disproportion in terms of prices. The restaurant also issues interim invoices. The location is really very nice, but the restaurant is clearly designed to accommodate a maximum number of tables in the area WITHOUT the kitchen capacity being designed for this. Service staff are absolutely overwhelmed, orders are simply forgotten if they are spoken to at all. The waiting time for the food was well over 90 minutes, the appetizer was forgotten, and no further questions were asked about drinks. When we asked where the food was, the service responded very unfriendly. And that after waiting over 60 minutes. Not a recommendation, more of a warning!

Die Drinks sind lecker, die Bedienung dafür mehr als unfreundlich. Bereits beim Ankommen wurde uns direkt vermittelt, dass wir unerwünscht sind, weil wir nicht essen möchten / wir erhielten auch einen ungedeckten Platz weiter weg wo andere Tische noch nicht einmal abgeräumt waren. Zusammen mit den Drinks kam auch direkt die Rechnung, auf den Aschenbecher dagegen warten wir noch immer - das erklärt die ganzen Kippen auf dem Boden. Trotz mehrfacher Bitte wurde uns nicht gestattet, die Rechnung unter uns aufzuteilen. Unverschämtheit findet hier einen Namen!

The drinks in this restaurant are very tasty, but the service is incredibly unfriendly. If you just want to order drinks, you immediately feel like you're not wanted. You are directed to uncovered tables far away from the rest, given the bill along with the drinks and days later we are still waiting for the ashtray - that explains the butts on the floor. None of the neighboring tables had been cleared. We were also not allowed to pay the bill separately, despite repeated requests - at least the card payment was possible.

Very good Italian, great ambience right on the lake. The food is really good, there is always a daily menu that changes. Our waiter Martino was very friendly and attentive. Everything was well organized. A table reservation is recommended.

Overpriced food and unfriendly, arrogant staff if you are reluctant to tip. If you tip a lot you get a Rossellini play. Who falls for this? The location is nice, the food is okay. There are now too many seats with a mass check-in feeling. Unfortunately, the inexpensive lunch menu is no longer available.

The best was once. We are shocked about the crash. A photo could now show how little the staff still has it under control. Too many tables assumed for staff that can't manage it. We've been coming for years, but there's never been anything like this. The food came before the drinks, and not just for us. The tables around us were full of leftover food, glasses, stacks of napkins. New guests look surprised, things are quickly cleared away. Only the kitchen does a great job, but the staff in the restaurant pulls it together.

A very well-run Italian restaurant with a beautiful location right on the water. Excellent cuisine and friendly service. I always enjoy coming here.

We stopped here for dinner after a lovely walk in the area. Very friendly service and a table with a view of the water. Luckily there were non-alcoholic aperitifs so the driver could toast and enjoy. The salad with warm goat cheese was a poem and the pasta dishes were tasty. We also found the espresso particularly good, we are coffee nerds - here it is intensely aromatic! We'd love to come back and hope that the sun will let us sit outside. Many thanks to the great team for a successful evening!

The food was good, but the service was less so. Customers were turned away, but others (who appeared wealthier) were seated at the same empty table. This is a restaurant with potential, but it fails when it comes to service because they rely on mass processing. 2* because the food was tasty and plentiful, but overpriced. I was just asked by Google to reconsider my 4-year-old review because otherwise it would be deleted because of defamation. They could have refined the concept instead of hiring lawyers, so now there are 5 stars and everyone has themselves to blame.

The only plus point is the great location on the water! The staff is unfriendly, there is no vegan selection other than a side salad or spaghetti aglio olio, there is no plant-based milk for coffee, there is no bruscetta and there is an explicit lack of desire to change anything or respond to customers, e.g. B. at least serve fruit for vegans (according to a waiter). Just sad and not in keeping with the spirit of the times for its proximity to Berlin and its location in the student city of Potsdam.

Food is tasty, but expensive, nice view, service left a lot to be desired. There were a lot of people in the restaurant, but we had to ask so often if we had a request...definitely the organization could be improved.

We went to Ristaurante il Teatro to have a nice Italian meal before going to an event at the wash house. Unfortunately, dinner was a disappointment. The restaurant was full, so we had to sit inside opposite the counter. There was a dish trolley with dirty dishes there, which I then had to push away. The waiter was very stressed and apparently in a bad mood. There was neither a friendly “good evening” or “welcome” or any other word. The food came quite quickly and was good, very tasty. Instead, the waiter came over every now and then during the meal and without saying a word picked up parts of the unused place settings from the table until he also took away a chair. So of course there wasn't a quiet, nice atmosphere while eating. On the contrary, we felt as if we were a nuisance, as if we were an intolerable additional burden on the waiter. Of course we didn't give a tip, especially since the prices were already high. We paid 45 euros for 2 pasta dishes, 2 small cokes and a small water. The waiter was able to complain to us about the lack of a tip. “He would have prepared the table so nicely for us.” He scared us away! We will avoid this restaurant in the future, despite the beautiful location and the tasty food. The service was subpar that evening.

Extrem übertriebene Preise für an sich wenig spektakuläres Essen. Sehr übersichtlich von der Quantität. Die Reaktion des verhalten wirkenden Kellners bei 10€ Trinkgeld bei einer Summe von 70€ (fast 14%)war schon ungewöhnlich und motiviert nicht zum erneuten Besuch.

Dieses Restaurant liegt an der Havel, neben dem Hans Otto Theater bzw Waschhaus. Das Ambiente ist edel, das Personal sehr ambitioniert und umsichtig. Wir haben Fisch & Pasta gehabt, angemessene Portionen und es hat allen sehr gemundet. Ich würde dieses Restaurant weiterempfehlen.

Die Bestellung der Hauptspeisen wurde vergessen und es kam keine Entschuldigung. Außerdem war die Leber fast schwarz gebraten und trocken. Auch hierbei gab es keine Entschuldigung, sonder nur ein " ach"....

Für 28€ schon frech! Als kleinen Trost gab es einen Dessertteller, sehr nett gemeint, aber bei den Preisen erwartet man zumindest gute Qualität und kein Kantinenessen!!! Wir kennen das Restaurant noch von früher....Was ist passiert???

Wirklich sehr guter Service - hier gibt es nichts zu beanstanden! Die Karte mag zwar im ersten Moment etwas abgespeckt erscheinen, und doch ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei! Wir haben es sehr genossen und können das Restaurant nur weiter empfehlen.

We had family lunch here, right by the lake in a shaded area. I see that some reviewers complain about rude service. We received efficient friendly service. The food was good, some dishes better than others. Quite pricey, good wine menu. I would for sure come back.

Pasta was ok but overpriced. I guess they charge for location. Very nice by the river but food wise there are plenty of places with same or better quality for less. Service was friendly and nice but not really any better than what we had at other restaurants. And, finding parking close by is a challenge.

Großr Portionen. Fas Personal ist super freundlich. Nur bei der Anzahl von Gästen wird mehr Personal benötigt. Die Lage am Wasser ist super.

Das Ambiente ist top der Service leider flop. Nach dem Essen (Nudeln mit Lachs wobei dieser teilweise kalt war) fand keine Bedienung mehr statt. So wurden wir nicht nach weiteren Getränkewünschen gefragt und als wir die Rechnung orderten, wurde sie uns im Vorbeigehen auf den Tisch "geknallt" und der Kellner war weg. Stammgäste braucht dieses Restaurant nicht, da es von der tollen Lage profitiert.

Ein schön eingerichtetes Restaurant mit Lage direkt am See. Diesen kann man von der Glasfassade aus gut sehen. Das Essen und den Service fand ich gut. Meine Nachspeise (Mousse au Chocolat) hat mich nicht so überzeugt.

Das positive zuerst: die Lage ist ein Traum. Das war's aber dann auch schon. Ok - der Service ist italienisch nett, leider schon mit der deutschen Überheblichkeit infiziert. Aber nun zu. Wesentlichen, dem Essen: das ist eine überteuerte Pampe. Nudeln sind breiweich gekocht. Langweilig gewürzt und Saucen eher wässrig. Der Wein ist dafür warm. Dafür ist es deutlich überteuert.

Wenn Sie in dieses von außen eigentlich ansehnliche Restaurant geraten, werden Sie erst einmal gefragt, ob Sie speisen möchten oder nur etwas trinken wollen, oder aber Sie werden gleich abgewiesen. Der Grund jedesmal, die Kellner hätten Essenszeit. Personen die moslemisch aussehen, wurden vor unseren Augen abgelehnt.

Tolles Ambiente, leckeres Essen 🥘 Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, die Lage ist perfekt. Wir haben hier als Gastlieger gelegen und sind mit einem LimeRoller 7 min hier gefahren 😉

Jedes Mal wenn wir im benachbartem Waveboard übernachten, ist unsere 1. Anlaufstelle zum Abendessen unser Lieblingsitaliener das Il Teatro. Ambiente und Service sind unschlagbar perfekt, die frische italienische Küche, so nuanciert und fein ausbalanciert.....großartig . Pasta und Risotto auf den Punkt gegart, Wein mit perfekte Säureverhältnis und angenehm temperiert. Ein wunderbarer Abend....wie immer. .

Wir waren seit längerem mal wieder in diesem Restaurant. Sehr nettes Personal. Das Essen war auch sehr gut. Nur das Risotto waren zwar geschmackvoll, aber von der Konsistenz nicht "cremig" genug. Insbesondere bei schönem Wetter einen Besuch wert.

Wir hatten eine Reservierung, wegen des schlechten Wetters bekamen wir einen Tisch im Innenbereich, jedoch schön an den großen Fenstern gelegen. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam, die Vorspeisen wurden zügig serviert: Insalata di Rucola (10,90€), Caprese (13,90€), wobei Letzteres völlig „nature“ ankam. Kein Salz, gar nichts. Es stand allerdings alles auf dem Tisch. Anschließend bestellten wir „die Spezialität des Hauses: Tagliolini al Tartufo“, immerhin 26€. Kam nicht im angekündigten Parmesanlaib und war für den Preis ziemlich unspektakulär. Das Risotto Scampi punktete hauptsächlich durch eine sehr große Menge an Knoblauch und war ziemlich trocken. Es war mehr eine Paella. Als ich dies anmerkte, wurde mir geantwortet, dass es eben Safran sei und nicht mit Sahne zubereitet??

Kalbsschnitzel mit Spargel für 30,- €, in diesem Ambiente ein Preis, den man zahlen 'möchte'? Der Spargel war frisch u. 'ok', aber die beiden sehr niedlich kleinen Kalbsschnitzelchen waren mehr als alt, in triefender Panade u. unansehnlich! Das Personal nahm die Reklamation sehr gelassen auf. "... ja ich habe schon gesehen, dass es nicht frisch aussieht..." u. verschwand in der Küche u. kam mit Filetspitzen zurück.

Gallo preis Leistung stimmt nicht . Ich habe per Telefon bestellt zum abholen . Sollte 86 Euro zahlen . Ich kam an und wollte zahlen da sollte ich auf einmal 98 zahlen . Wollte eine Rechnung wurde verweigert. Es hieß Kasse ist defekt . Das Essen war so schlecht !!! Ich gehe oft italienisch essen aber sowas schlechtes habe ich Jahre nicht erlebt . Dafür noch so viel Geld zu verlangen ist eine Bodelose Frechheit. Das schlimmste war das wird durch einen Mitarbeiter preislich noch betrogen wurden . Ich empfehle dieses Restaurant nicht

Am 09.07.2021, einem eher kühlen Juliabend hatten wir uns auf den Weg zum ilTeatro gemacht. Der Einlass lag in der Obhut einer Mitarbeiterin, die uns bestimmend unsere Garderobe abnahm und weghängte.......etwa 20.45, wir hatten bezahlt und wollten nach Hause bekam ich eine fremde Jacke in die Hand gedrückt, die ich umgehend zurück gab, aber meine Jacke gab es nicht mehr in dieser von der mitarbeiterin verwalteten Garderobe, seit her warte ich auf meine mir abgenommene Jacke oder wenigstens eine diesbezügliche Kontaktaufnahme mit uns, ilTeatro hüllt sich bis heute (20.07.2021) in Schweigen, obwohl meinerseits eine Nachfrage an il Teatro über den weiteren Ablauf am 12.07.21 über Tel. erfolgte. Hier scheint echt der Wurm drin zu sein, der einem die freude am Essen verdirbt.
