Big artichoke. So tender. The balsamic is on the sweeter side but the tomato and rocket balanced it. The dish also feels less oily as I expected. Gorgeous black spaghetti . Why don’t other Italian restaurants put more substantial veggies? (I’ve made my own fusion stir fry pasta before but this is really a nice surprise ^^.) Colorful and satisfying. The pasta as perfectly al dente and well seasoned. The portion is so giant and I could not reach the bottom. The other table already finished their later main dishes XD, which also looks great. I feel underdressed (forgive me I came after a long day from the airports). Small intimate space, good for dates and family and friends gathering. The English-speaking gentleman was really helpful. Maybe I should try to learn German for a third time.

The restaurant is closed until September 2nd, but the maps don't say anything about it.

Too bad, Google says it's open. Closed with a note on the door is probably more accurate. This kind of guest care is not up to date.

Unfortunately, it's a real rip-off! Exorbitant prices, some of the dishes aren't that great quality, and the wines are expensive and the waiter can't explain them. ☹️ Long wait for a completely overpriced appetizer platter. The outdoor area unfortunately has a bit of a backyard feel. You can go once, but once is enough.

During my short vacation in Potsdam, I visited the Waage restaurant today, and I'm still thrilled. Italian cuisine is served here at a truly high level, and you can taste the fresh, top-quality ingredients prepared by experts to provide guests with a culinary delight. A true recommendation for any visitor to Potsdam who appreciates good Italian food.

We stopped by spontaneously in the afternoon, and there was a table available for us. The food was very good and the dessert tempting. The service was very friendly.

This place is a scam, we went there with a group of 16 people and they just told us that we had to take antipasti plates. Turns out these plates with only three slices of prosciutto, very little caprese (maybe three mozzarella balls), three slices of pepperoni and a bit of cooked vegetables cost 62€ euros a piece and the brought four of them for our table. The main courses had very little portions as well and weren’t outstanding. You also had to pay for extra olive oil, bread or Parmesan cheese. It felt like getting ripped off. Terrible choice if you want to get good value for your money.

High expectations, even greater disappointment. There were six of us there – and no one enjoyed their meal. The menu, lovingly handwritten on a blackboard, promised much. But what arrived on the table was unloved, lukewarm, and disappointing. The fish was unseasoned and cold, the truffle pasta so bland we had to add more salt. The appetizer – almost 20 euros for artichoke leaves drenched in oil – was simply inedible. Add to that the service, which seemed disinterested and couldn't bring the dishes to the table at the same time. An expensive evening, but unfortunately not worth the price. Much promised, nothing delivered. We definitely won't be back.

Three of us dined here on Saturday, May 17th. As with our previous visits, both the service and – above all – the food were of the usual high standard. Along with the harmonious ambiance, these are the main reasons why we enjoy coming here. Unfortunately, our otherwise very pleasant evening was significantly disrupted that day by a group of six women. The restaurant is rather small, was well attended that evening, and therefore acoustically quite sensitive. Especially under these circumstances, the noise level emanating from the group bordered on an imposition. Mutual consideration unfortunately didn't seem to be an issue here. After several guests had already complained, we did the same. It should be emphasized that the team handled the situation very patiently and – in our opinion – professionally. After the group left, several tables were able to enjoy their evening again. A visit to this restaurant is highly recommended.

We were there for the conclusion of a stag or hen party with six women and a baby. Despite having asked in advance by phone, there was no room for the stroller. This was a bit inconvenient because it had to be put back in the car. It could have been avoided if the information had been given directly over the phone. At first, the service was warm and friendly, but that unfortunately changed. They tried three times to clear my plate without asking if I was ready, and it seemed increasingly rushed. At the end, we were asked very directly and rudely to pay immediately. Unfortunately, we didn't find out whether it was because we were laughing at times (fun didn't seem appropriate in this setting, but we had some, even without alcohol) or because my baby cried from time to time. It's a shame. The food was actually very good. However, given the service's communication style, we won't be coming back and won't recommend the restaurant to anyone.

First-class food, top-notch staff! I ate there with my husband for the third time on Saturday, and as always, it was a culinary delight. Unfortunately, that day, there was a group of women there with a baby who cried nonstop. The women laughed so loudly and were unbearable. They showed no consideration for the other guests. After two hours, I heard the restaurant manager politely ask the women to pay the bill. They continued to complain cheekily. The evening was over for us! I've rarely encountered such rude women! Respect for the owner's patience, very professional!! I'm already looking forward to the next time, hopefully with decent guests!

Unfortunately my visit to this restaurant was a disappointment. When I politely asked for some parmesan with my pasta, the waiter rudely turned me down with the words: “There’s enough cheese on it.” 4€ for cheese 🙈 Friendliness looks different. What was even more outrageous was that he hardly wanted to let me pay for my meal with a card because, in his opinion, the amount was “too small” - completely inappropriate in a restaurant that is more upscale. I haven't experienced such rude and dismissive service in a long time. Anyone who values ​​hospitality here should think carefully about whether they really want to stop by.

A historically stylish restaurant with an exquisite menu and delicious wine. Our spontaneous request to visit was responded to in a very friendly manner. We enjoyed very warm hospitality and definitely recommend :) making a reservation.

Everything here is made in-house, of the highest quality, and you can taste it with the first bite. Each of the 3 courses we had were simply outstanding. The ambience and service are at the same, very high level. If you're in Potsdam, you have to go there, simply great.

It was indescribable. Rarely have we experienced such first-class service paired with first-class product quality. The selection of dishes combined with service and passion are unparalleled. The taste and composition of the dishes are unique in Potsdam. Anyone who is willing to pay a little more for the combination of quality and taste has come to the right place. A huge compliment to everyone involved.

Excellent Italian food was marred by an outrageously rude and officious head water. My wife asked (in German) which entrance she should use (there were two patio entrances) and he replied (in German) "how should I know what entrance you want?". Of course he turned out to be our waiter, seating us inside on a lovely evening with plenty of space outside. We were scolded for several other infractions (e.g, putting jackets on chairs) before making our escape. We would have ordered appetizers and desert (the food was great) but we just left after ordering mains.

Es war ein wunderbarer, unerwarteter Abend in der Waage. Von einer Bücherlesung kommend, wollten wir eigentlich nur kurz einkehren und eine Kleinigkeit essen. Daraus wurde ein sehr langer Abend mit fantastischen Gerichten, Knurrhahn und ein perfektes Medium Steak mit einer sagenhaften Vorspeise. Artischocken, wie ich sie noch nie gegessen habe. Der Service ist hervorragend, so wie man es in Italien erlebt. Persönliches Gespräch und kleine Geschichten. Wer das nicht mag, sollte doch besser zu Hause bleiben und in den Keller zum Lachen gehen. Wir haben für und ein neues kulinarische High­light endeckt und werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

We reserved a table for 4 people via openTabel, which was also confirmed by email and was postponed by half an hour with another email. When we arrived at the restaurant on time, the table was no longer available with the excuse that I couldn't be reached. However, the official cancellation of the reservation reached me again without any problems 10 minutes after we were sent away. Untrustworthy.

It's real enjoyment! Tomato soup, pasta, wine and espresso - the pasta in particular was outstanding in consistency and taste :) the wine was really very good and the rest was also very good. Thank you!

Nice Italian resurant in an historical building on the Neuer Markt in Potsdam. Tables are nicely decked with a white table cloth. My pasta was a tasty mixture of a german dish with tagliatelli. A good apéril spritz

The food in the Italian-run restaurant was adequate, not outstanding, but decent. There were four of us present and we were able to sit outside. What really bothered us was the rudeness of the staff, particularly a young man who clearly didn't value his guests but rather despised them, which he clearly showed. His behavior was simply outrageous, politeness is not his thing. And the fact that in the end it was absolutely not possible to divide the total bill amount because there was no desire to do so was annoying. There are better restaurants in Potsdam.

ich kann das Restaurant überhaupt nicht empfehlen, Service sehr unaufmerksam und teilweise zumutende Kommentare . es wurde von uns sehr viel Geduld abverlangt, kein Nachservice Wein und Wasser. das Restaurant hatte früher eine sehr gute gastronomische Leistung erbracht und konnte weiter empfohlen werden. wir kommen nicht wieder.

A restaurant in a great setting in a place steeped in history...it's likely that you're expecting a high level of hospitality. I was unpleasantly touched that we unfortunately had to experience it in opposite ways. Here you feel like a supplicant and not at all like a king. At 29 degrees, the terrace remained closed and the service was unable to prepare a table. Choice of food very tasteful but also very overpriced. (Plate of olive oil for €6.50; basket of bread €4.50...you can do that, but for who?) We waited in vain for the staff to be friendly; we were asked to pay while standing at the checkout. I think it's ok in a pub or garden restaurant. There are so many restaurants where the guest is made king, but unfortunately not here. A pity!

After a heavy rain and a performance at the museum, we wanted to go out for a nice meal. We could have sat outside - after a quick wipe down of the tables and chairs. "It would take 2 hours to do that, we were told, and when one group sits down - the others want to also”…..In the small room (sultry, humid temperature) we weren’t allowed to open the fantastic window - a small gap at the top should be enough…..Too bad We only got the menu upon request, the food is good - but a lot of it is simply overpriced and for a plate of olive oil €6.50 & another bread €4.50, that's "remarkable". There's no real good feeling here………Here it is Guest not king…….and so I won’t be able to recommend it

Spontaneous decisions are sometimes the best. The service is very courteous and polite. The food was a solid 7/10, the spaghetti with pesto and buratta was a bit bland. My saltimbocca was very tasty. The ham isn't too salty. We will be back.

Beautiful, quiet terrace on a secluded square with flair. They produce thyme, rosemary etc around the terrace. Simple but good dishes, friendly and funny service. We liked it very much. We recommend.

Dieses Restaurant befindet sich auf einem ruhigen und schönen Platz mit Flair, weit von der Hektik der Touristenlokale. Thymian, Rosmarin u.s.w werden um die Terrasse produziert, die Karte ist einfach aber gut, die Bedienung freundlich und lustig. Kurz und gut: es hat uns sehr gefallen. Wir empfehlen.

The 5 stars are definitely deserved! Warm service - unobtrusive, humane, humorous, clever. The chefs know what they are doing, which is reflected on the plates. The food is simply GOOD - but that's what I expect for the price range in which the game is played. You can easily enjoy 4 courses without feeling completely overeaten afterwards. The various vegetables retain their original taste, the meat is tender, juicy, cooked perfectly and nothing burnt - someone probably knows their stove and pans ;-) The menu is clear and people probably often buy fresh food. The guest is not overwhelmed. HOSPITALITY in this restaurant means being able to linger and ENJOY THE FOOD AND DRINKS IN PEACE - no being kicked out after 90 minutes because the table is "reserved for the next time slot"... Despite the fact that the space is limited and there were a number of people sitting at the other tables around us, we didn't feel cramped or overwhelmed by the noise. We had a wonderfully relaxing evening/stay and will definitely come back! Thank you very much and a happy new year with good health for everyone in the team!

Fine Diving in Potsdam. Aber ein bißchen zu viel des guten, vor allem preislich. Vielleicht liegt es daran das unser Kanzler in der Nähe wohnt. Die Auswahl der Speisen beschränkt sich auf zwei handgeschriebene Tafeln. Insgesamt ist hier Luft nach oben, vor allem im Service. Die offenen Weine sind nicht zu empfehlen. Es lohnt sich der Gang ins Holländerviertel. Größere Auswahl und preislich entspannter

Nach unserer Erfahrung eines der besten Restaurants in Potsdam. Wir sind regelmäßig zu Gast und haben immer sehr leckere Gerichte von der ständig wechselnden Karte gegessen. Ausgefallene Kombinationen und eine exzellente Weinauswahl sind bei allen Familienmitgliedern von 4 bis 90 stets gut angekommen. Der Service ist ausgezeichnet und das gesamte Team versteht es, eine tolle Atmosphäre zu schaffen.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren italienischen Abend, bei lauen Temperaturen auf der Terrasse haben wir herrliche Drinks und tolles Essen genossen. Die Gerichte waren sehr kunstvoll angerichtet und alles war sehr nach unserem Geschmack. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

5 Sterne für das Restaurant Waage, weil sehr guter Service bei sehr gut zubereitenden, sehr gut schmeckenden Essen. Eagl ob Vorspeise mit Artischoken oder Pasta mit schwarzen Trüffeln. Hier blieben keine Wünsche offen. Ein sehr interessantes Weinangebot rundete einen gelungenen Besuch an einem schönen Septemberwochentag ab. Die Location liegt leider etwas versteckt. Ich war jetzt drei mal im Restaurant Waage und war jedes mal begeistert. Die Küche arbeitet aus meiner Sicht auf einem sehr hohen Niveau, sowohl die geschmacklich, als auch optisch ist das Essen eine Offenbarung. Besonders die Tageskarte, die sich häufig ändert und demnach immer neue Überraschungen aufzeigt, gefällt mir gut. Der Service ist nicht nur aufmerksam, sondern auch sehr sympathisch. Das Restaurant Waage ist Am Neuen Markt 12, in 14467 Potsdam gelegen. Es handelt sich hierbei um ein apart möbliertes Lokal, mit warmem Flair. Durch das nette Personal wird die italienische Küche, in der früheren städtischen Ratswaage, serviert. Das Ambiente und die Atmosphäre ist dort sehr angenehm. Hier verkehren nur gute - und ganz tolle Gäste. Ich habe dort ein gepflegtes Bier getrunken und ein ein Kalbs Entrecote verzehrt. Beides war sehr delicious. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit, sozial kompetent und sehr wertvoll. Sehr empfehlenswert! Für große Gruppen nicht eingestellt (18 Pers.) Service eher gestresst und überfordert von einer Gruppe mit vielen Leuten. Essen trotzdem sehr lecker. Aber schon auf der teureren Seite. Ambiente im Sommer auf dem Platz schôn, und auch für Hunde geeignet. Insgesamt Abendessen OK, jedoch überraschend teuer.

Wir waren zu viert dort. Essen war ok, mehr nicht. Für den Preis leider nix besonderes.

Ein gehobener Italier mit sehr guter Küche und tollem Personal. War für unsere Gruppe eine tolle Lokation zum Essen und man konnte sich auch gut unterhalten. Wer allerdings Pizza sucht ist hier falsch.

Wir hatten einen rundum gelungenen Aufenthalt. Ein wunderschönes Ambiente, das Essen war äußerst schmackhaft und der Service freundlich, aufmerksam und sehr flink. Zum Abschluss ein espresso, der wirklich super war! Sehr zu empfehlen!

Gepfefferte Preise, schön angerichtet, Kellner fragen alles 3x. Ich hab schon besser gegessen. Historisches Gebäude.

Interessantes Ambiente. Professionelle und freundliche Bedienung. Innenraum ein wenig eng. Speisen lecker, höherpreisig und daher kleinere Portionen. Also schon etwas besonderes.

Schon etwas ungewöhnlich der Umgang mit dem Gast. Es bestimmt resolut der Kellner wann und ob man eine Karte bekommt. Erst werden die Tagesangebote auf Tafeln präsentiert (hat trotz Nachfrage gedauert). Dann die Wein Karte, dann die Speisekarte. Antwort auf meine Verwunderung: "Wir arbeiten seit 20 Jahren so". Ach so! Prosecco vergessen, Radler statt Radeberger serviert. Kann passieren. Entschuldigung Fehlanzeige. Eher etwas genervt die Fehler behoben. Das Essen: Risotto ungewürtz und zu lange gekocht, gegrilltes Gemüse viel zu weich, Fisch und Kalbsrücken gut. Vorspeise Kaninchenscheiben und Dessert Tiramisu sehr gut. Cappuccino in einem italienisches Restaurant für 4,00€ sehr enttäuschend. Fazit: In einer Stadt mit adäquater Konkurrenz hätte es dieses Restaurant mit seiner etwas arroganten Note sehr schwer. Zum wiederholten Mal eine uneingeschränkt positive Erfahrung. Die wechselnden Gerichte sind ohne Ausnahme zu empfehlen. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Der Wein ist wohltemperiert und man fühlt sich immer willkommen. Für mich die Nr. 1 unter den italienischen Restaurants in Potsdam. Klein aber fein.

Essen war sehr gut. Bedienung war auch sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Gerne kommen wir wieder. Reservierung ist zu empfehlen.

14,50 € pro Person für 2 Vorspeisenplatten die für 9 Personen reichen sollte und meines Erachtens für vllt. 4-6 Personen reichen sollte. die Speisen darauf nichts besonderes. Die Hauptgerichte ebenfalls sehr übersichtlich, eher kleine Portionen, einfallslos gewürzt. Mit der Nachspeise zusammen wurde man leidlich satt. Die Panna Cotta war nicht homogen, d.h. die Creme war unten und die Gelatine oben angesammelt. Wurde aber voll in Rechnung gestellt. Durch die enge Bestuhlung war es auch ziemlich laut und geschäftig.

Wir waren mit einigen Freunden essen und es wurden uns drei gemischte Vorspeisenplatten für 12.50 € pro Person aufgetischt. Diese Vorspeisenplatten waren enttäuschend und den Preis nicht wert. Leider wurden auch nur auf Nachfrage Speisen aus der Speisekarte serviert. Die Menues auf der schwarzen Tafel, sehr fleischlastig. Nur ein vegetarisches Gericht. Beim Eingang wurde uns unfreundlich beschieden, alle Jacken an der Garderobe aufzuhängen. Keine Jacken über den Stühlen. Wenn sich der Chef Gehör verschaffen wollte, schlug er Gläser zusammen.
