Kein Platz am Tisch der Gastlichkeit - Amaro statt Aperitivo Mein Eindruck steht leider nicht völlig allein. Auch andere enttäuschte Gäste beschreiben weniger ein Problem der Küche als ein Problem der Kommunikation, des Empfangs und der Haltung. Genau dort wird aus einem einzelnen missglückten Besuch ein grundsätzlicherer Befund: Gastlichkeit behauptet man nicht — man beweist sie am Tisch

Wir waren heute mit 11 Personen nachmittags zum Kaffe angemeldet. Es war kein Tisch entsprechend eingedeckt. Kuchen gab es nur noch Reste und die Bedienung wirkte sehr überfordert. Für mich nicht empfehlenswert!!

Das Restaurant war komplett leer und verweigerte mir den Einlass mit der Begründung, es würden nur Reservierungen angenommen. Ich war mit meinem Kind zum Abendessen dort, wir waren beide schick angezogen. Eine Frechheit! Der Döner gegenüber hatte einen zehnmal besseren Service.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung, sehr lecker, sehr sauber, sehr schnell. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Netter Chef haben wir gehört 👍

Wir waren gestern Mittag mit meiner Familie im Lodovico essen und uns hat es sehr gefallen. Die Atmosphäre war sehr schön, dass Essen kam schnell, war wirklich gut und unsere Bedienung sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Wir haben uns alle sehr wohlgefühlt und freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch.

Wir waren letzte Woche zu zweit dort und die Erfahrung war sehr enttäuschend. Als Erstes haben wir Trüffelpasta bestellt. Als das Essen ankam, hatte meine Freundin so wenig Nudeln auf dem Teller, dass sie in zwei Bissen aufgegessen waren. Ich hatte deutlich mehr. Das haben wir dem Kellner gesagt, aber er hat nicht einmal richtig hingeschaut und meinte nur, er könne es mit einem Dessert aufs Haus wiedergutmachen. Das wollten wir aber gar nicht – wir wollten die Nudeln, für die wir 25 Euro pro Person bezahlt haben. Außerdem war das Essen auch sehr geschmacklos. Als wir nach einer normalen Portion gefragt haben, sagte der Kellner, dass er das nicht korrigieren könne, da alles abgemessen wird. Sehr enttäuschend. Am Ende hat er uns sogar noch nach einem Trinkgeld gefragt. So etwas fragt man erstens nicht, und zweitens schon gar nicht, nachdem wir so viel Geld für schlechtes Essen bezahlt haben. Außerdem hat er uns die Rechnung schon auf den Tisch gelegt, während wir noch am Essen waren. Wir wollten eigentlich noch einen Espresso bestellen, aber stattdessen kam er ungefragt mit der Rechnung. Absolut schrecklicher Service.

Wir hatten vier verschiedene Gerichte, alle waren authentische italienische Küche. Die Karte ist klein, die Zutaten frisch. Eine schöne Weinkarte ergänzt das Menü. Das Ambiente ist elegant und gemütlich. Alles ist picobello sauber. Der Service ist unschlagbar: Aufmerksam, freundlich, charmant.

Valentinstag im Ludovico, es war wunderbar. Trotz gut besuchten Restaurant wurden wir mit viel Witz und Charme bedient. Das empfohlene Menü war vorzüglich und einfach nur ein Genuss. Wer noch stilvolle Gastronomie erleben möchte, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Immer wieder gern.

Zum Essen kann ich keine Angaben machen, wir waren verwirrt, da bei geöffnetem Laden und vielen leeren Tischen eine Banderole vor dem Eingang platziert war, so dass wir zur Sicherheit nachfragen wollten. Es stürmte ein ziemlich aggressiv schimpfender, wild gewordener Kellner auf uns zu und raunzte in unverschämtester Weise herum, wobei doch ein freundliches „wir sind komplett reserviert“ vollkommen ausgereicht hätte. Wer so Kundschaft behandelt kann es ja mit der Gastfreundschaft nicht wirklich ernst meinen, schreckliche Begegnung, die ja in vielen anderen Rezensionen hier thematisiert wird.

Gemütliches Ambiente, hervorragendes Essen mit wechselnder Speisekarte – ein wunderbarer Ort für Mittag- und Abendessen sowie für Kaffee und Kuchen am Nachmittag. Kommen immer wieder gerne.

Seit dem dieses fantastische Restaurant eröffnet wurde, kommen meine Frau und ich immer Anfang Februar ins Lodovico und lassen es uns ein paar Stunden gutgehen. Das Ambiente hat uns von Anfang an sehr gut gefallen. Es ist stilvoll eingerichtet und lädt mit seiner warmen, entspannten Atmosphäre sehr zum Verweilen ein. Alles ist modern, sauber und ordentlich . Das Lodovico ist immer sehr gut besucht, daher ist eine Tischreservierung empfehlenswert. Auch wenn viel los ist, bekommen wir als Gäste selten etwas davon mit. Die Musik läuft gedämpft im Hintergrund und wandelt irgendwo zwischen Lounge und seichtem Jazz. Dadurch können sich die Gäste entspannt am Tisch unterhalten und es bleibt angenehm ruhig. Der Service ist ebenfalls exzellent. An der Tür werden einem die Jacken abgenommen, ein Kellner begleitet die Gäste zu ihrem Tisch und der Service ist jeder Zeit auf Zack und versteht etwas vom Fach. Es gibt tolle Beratungen und Empfehlungen zu Drinks und Speisen. Auch der Chef höchstpersönlich, packt hier gerne mit an. Wartezeiten gibt es hier so gut wie keine, da immer jemand vom Service parat steht. An der Bar wird auch Vollgas gegeben und hier werden sehr leckere und optisch ansprechende Drinks gemixt. Die Speisen im Lodovico haben uns bisher immer überzeugt. Die Karte besteht aus reduzierten, aber gut ausgewählten Speisen, die immer wieder ausgetauscht werden. Die Portionsgrößen sind gut. Wer Vorspeise, Hauptgang und Nachspeise isst, der dürfte mehr als satt sein. Die Speisen ähneln kleinen Kunstwerken. Sie sind kunstvoll angerichtet, schmecken fabelhaft und sprechen alle Sinne an. Wir freuen uns auf den nächsten Besuch.

Meine Mutter und ich waren gestern in diesem Restaurant essen. Leider war es die unangenehmste Restauranterfahrung meines bisherigen Lebens. Zunächst möchte ich sagen, dass das Ambiente sehr schön ist. Man merkt sofort, dass der Inhaber einen ausgeprägten künstlerischen Geschmack hat. Genau diese ästhetische Atmosphäre und die in der Vitrine sehr ansprechend präsentierten Kuchen haben uns dazu bewogen, das Restaurant zu betreten. Dieser positive erste Eindruck wurde jedoch bereits beim Betreten des Lokals vollständig zerstört. Gleich am Eingang wurden wir ohne jegliche Freundlichkeit oder Erklärung fast wie „abgefertigt“ gefragt: „Kuchen oder Essen?“ Zu diesem Zeitpunkt hatte ich weder eine Speisekarte gesehen noch überhaupt Gelegenheit, mich zu orientieren oder eine Entscheidung zu treffen. Diese Situation setzte mich sofort unter Druck. Aus einer Stressreaktion heraus antwortete ich „Kuchen“, und genau damit begann das eigentliche Desaster. Ein äußerst arrogant, unhöflich und sichtlich genervt auftretender Kellner wies uns daraufhin einen Tisch zu. Als ich höflich fragte, ob wir an einem anderen Platz sitzen könnten, wurde sein Ton noch unfreundlicher. Danach ignorierte er uns vollständig. Erst nach längerer Wartezeit bekamen wir von einer anderen, zufällig vorbeikommenden Servicekraft eine Speisekarte. Wir bestellten zwei Kaffees und zwei Spaghetti. Meine Mutter wollte zusätzlich ein Stück Kuchen. Da sich die Kuchen im Eingangsbereich befinden und die Namen nicht eindeutig waren, ging ich zur Kuchentheke, um direkt auszuwählen. Der zuvor erwähnte Kellner stand dort. Ich fragte ihn sehr höflich: „Entschuldigung, darf ich ein Stück Kuchen bestellen?“ Seine Antwort war schockierend: „Nein! Das ist nicht erlaubt! Geh sofort zurück zu Ihrem Platz!!!“ Das war kein Service, das war Demütigung! Ich war richtig richtig schockiert. Ich war dort, um mit meiner gesundheitlich angeschlagenen Mutter eine schöne, entspannte Zeit zu verbringen. Stattdessen wurden wir vom ersten Moment an respektlos und herablassend behandelt. Ich bin 40 Jahre alt und habe in keinem Land der Welt jemals einen derart unhöflichen Service erlebt. Zum Glück trafen wir später auf andere freundliche, hilfsbereite und respektvolle Servicekräfte sowie auf den Inhaber selbst. Auch wenn das Problem nicht wirklich gelöst wurde, tat es gut, wenigstens gehört zu werden, meine Tränen standen mir zu diesem Zeitpunkt bereits nahe. Zum Essen selbst kann ich kaum etwas sagen. In dieser emotional belastenden Situation konnte ich den Geschmack kaum wahrnehmen. So schön ein Restaurant auch sein mag, ohne Respekt und grundlegende Höflichkeit im Service verliert alles seinen Wert.

Wir waren am 17.12. im LODOVICO. Service: perfekt, trotzdem ungezwungen, die Mäntel wurden uns abgenommen, man fühlte sich sehr willkommen. Essen: Vorspeise ein wunderbares Carpaccio, noch nie so gut gegessen. Hauptgericht Risotto Zafferano bzw. Pappardelle, so cremig und köstlich. Weine: Rose und Primitivo von hoher Qualität. Kaffee, Espresso genau richtig. Einrichtung, klassisch schön, kein gewollt modisches Ambiente. Angenehme Atmosphäre, keine Hektik, freundliche Kellner. Für das LODOVICO ist kein Weg zu weit, extra anreisen lohnt sich. Beim nächsten Potsdambesuch gerne wieder. DANKE.

Das Restaurant liegt mitten in der Stadt, in einer Fußgängerzone. Die Inneneinrichtung ist interessant, mit vielen Gemälden an den Wänden und interessanten Details. Es ist geräumig und farbenfroh. Vom ersten Moment an werden Sie von einem freundlichen Kellner und zuvorkommendem Service empfangen. Die Speisekarte bietet eine große Auswahl an Gerichten, die alle sehr lecker sind. Meine Portion war allerdings nicht groß, aber ich bin trotzdem satt geworden. Das Trinkgeld können Sie beim Bezahlen selbst bestimmen. Ich kann es nur empfehlen.

Yesterday, during our visit to the Christmas market, we ate at the restaurant with a group of seven. The atmosphere, service, cleanliness, and food selection were all excellent. We felt very comfortable and highly recommend this establishment.

My birthday experience was a complete disappointment. I arrived slightly late, and my guests were already seated. When I entered the restaurant, I stood in the entrance area for several minutes, merely eyed by the staff, who didn't think to speak to me. A little later, I was rather rudely asked to take off my jacket, in a tone as if I were speaking to a three-year-old. When I asked if anyone from the reservation team had arrived, they said yes and went back to their business. They simply scurried past me without acknowledging my presence, even though I clearly needed assistance. Eventually, one of the guests happened to walk by the entrance and saw me. There was absolutely no help from the staff, and their tone was completely unprofessional and unfriendly. The food was okay, but in such an expensive establishment, I expect attentive and friendly service. On top of that, one of the guests had asked the staff for a birthday favor, which was met with derision. No one from the staff did anything at all – no singing, no complimentary dessert, and certainly no congratulations. That's disrespectful and outrageous. I won't be coming back.

1. Thyme sprigs in the meat ragout are not acceptable. 2. The bacon in the carbonara was partially overcooked. 3. The espresso was good, but we would have appreciated a biscuit. 4. The amuse-bouche was good!

A piece of Italy in Potsdam – highly recommended! We went to Lodovico in Potsdam for a business lunch with seven people on October 12, 2025, and were absolutely thrilled. The welcome was warm, the service attentive and professional, without being intrusive. The meal was a true highlight – perfectly balanced in flavor and beautifully presented. Every course was a delight! The atmosphere at Lodovico is both elegant and cozy – perfect for business lunches, but also for a pleasant evening with friends or family. We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back. A huge compliment to the entire team – Lodovico is an absolute recommendation for anyone who appreciates good food and great service. 🍷🇮🇹

For me, this is one of the restaurants in Potsdam where you go if you want to be pampered and spend a few pleasant hours. The ambiance is incredibly beautiful, so you could easily spend four hours here. The food is very good, beautifully presented, and still absolutely reasonable in price. I had one of the best desserts I've ever had here. Last but not least, the service: we were constantly asked if everything was okay, checked for empty glasses, and always had a bit of small talk. We always enjoy coming here!

We've eaten here several times. The food is delicious. The seating is also great, actually. We've always found the place a bit strange, as if they didn't really want to have anything to do with their guests. But today was a total no-go: we arrived without a reservation, and almost no one was sitting in the main area. We asked for a table, and the bosses began a long discussion. Hmm, yes, here, there. We were then assigned a small table next to the kitchen. When I mentioned, after an hour, while paying, that the main area was still pretty empty, the maitre d' started barking at me. Completely inappropriate, I thought. Well, the president of a charity was supposedly sitting above it, and I wonder what he would have said if we'd sat there too... (mind you, there were about 30 free seats). And now a group arrived – just as we were about to leave. Apparently, they don't like guests unless they're the president of something. After this humiliating brush-off, I was done for. Then I prefer Assaggi, where you are served with heart.

There were only two tables of two people on the terrace, and inside there was one table of two and ours, which was five of us, yet it took 30 minutes to get served. The problem with waiting so long is that diners expect even better quality food. We ordered three pizzas and two pasta dishes. The pizza dough needed more air and was overcooked in the center. The pasta Bolognese and gnocchi lacked flavor.

-⭐ Unfortunately, not a good experience – disappointing We were very disappointed with our visit to this restaurant. The food was extremely oversalted, and although we immediately complained politely, our complaint was hardly taken seriously. They simply offered to pack the oversalted food – without any further apology or suggestions for a solution. As we left, the waiter informed us that he had "treated" us to two Hugos as compensation – unfortunately, these cocktails were also poorly mixed and not particularly successful. The guests at the neighboring table also expressed clear dissatisfaction with their food – so we weren't alone in our criticism. (The pasta was too greasy and the cheese wasn't particularly good either.) We will definitely not visit this restaurant again and cannot recommend it. There are numerous much better restaurants in the area – both in terms of food and service.

We just wanted a beer, which arrived very quickly. For the second one, we also ordered a salami pizza – very, very tasty. The decor here is very elegant and tasteful, and the staff is very friendly, attentive, and quick. We'd love to come by with a visitor!

Excellent in every respect – a place to linger, enjoy, and return I have been a regular guest at Lodovico for many years – and every single visit has been consistently impressive. The service is not only attentive and prompt, but also personal: regulars are recognized, drink requests noted, and you are greeted with an open, yet always professional tone. Advice and expertise are not just empty phrases here, but a matter of course. Orders are processed promptly, without any rush. Waiting times – if they occur at all – are not perceived as a disadvantage, but as valuable time to relax. A good restaurant is not a drive-thru, but a place for enjoyment and relaxation. The food is of a consistently high standard. In all my visits, there has not been a single outlier – always precise preparation, balanced compositions, and excellent quality ingredients. The ambience also deserves special mention: not a replaceable interior, but a harmonious, well-thought-out spatial concept. Paneled walls in warm wood veneers, polished brass details, subdued lighting – the whole experience conveys a living room feel and invites you to linger. My stays regularly lasted two to four hours – with a book, a good meal, and sometimes a digestif. In summer, the outdoor area also offers the opportunity to enjoy a fine cigar – stylish and unpretentious. I rarely write reviews. But here, the praise is not only justified, but necessary. Lodovico impresses with substance, style, and consistency. Thank you for many wonderful evenings!

Ausgezeichnet in allen Belangen – ein Ort zum Verweilen, Genießen und Wiederkehren Ich bin seit vielen Besuchen regelmäßiger Gast im Lodovico – und jeder einzelne Aufenthalt war durchweg überzeugend. Der Service ist nicht nur aufmerksam und flink, sondern auch persönlich: Stammgäste werden erkannt, Getränkewünsche gemerkt, und man wird mit einem offenen, aber stets professionellen Umgangston empfangen. Beratung und Kompetenz sind hier keine Floskeln, sondern gelebte Selbstverständlichkeit. Die Bestellungen werden zügig bearbeitet, ohne dass Hektik aufkommt. Wartezeiten – sofern sie überhaupt auftreten – werden hier nicht als Mangel empfunden, sondern als wertvolle Zeit, um zur Ruhe zu kommen. Ein gutes Restaurant ist eben kein Drive-In, sondern ein Ort für Genuss und Entschleunigung. Die Speisen sind auf konstant hohem Niveau. In all meinen Besuchen gab es keinen einzigen Ausreißer – immer punktgenaue Zubereitung, ausgewogene Kompositionen und hervorragende Qualität der Zutaten. Auch das Ambiente verdient besondere Erwähnung: Kein austauschbares Interieur, sondern ein stimmiges, wohldurchdachtes Raumkonzept. Vertäfelte Wände in warmen Holzfurnieren, polierte Messingdetails, gedämpftes Licht – das Ganze vermittelt Wohnzimmercharakter und lädt zum längeren Verweilen ein. Meine Aufenthalte dauerten regelmäßig zwei bis vier Stunden – mit einem Buch, einem guten Essen, manchmal einem Digestif. Im Sommer bietet der Außenbereich zudem die Möglichkeit, eine gepflegte Zigarre zu genießen – stilvoll und unaufgeregt. Ich schreibe selten Bewertungen. Doch hier ist das Lob nicht nur gerechtfertigt, sondern notwendig. Lodovico überzeugt durch Substanz, Stil und Kontinuität. Vielen Dank für viele gelungene Abende!

A beautiful restaurant with incredibly delicious food and drinks. Among other things, I had a whiskey sour, which I can absolutely recommend!! The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The prices are absolutely reasonable.

Stylish restaurant with traditional but also modern interpretations of dishes. Fast and friendly service. Well attended on Sunday evenings and probably a lot of regulars too. Nevertheless, there was no delay in the service, which was very attentive to all guests. Recommendation: insalata Lodovico and Gamberoni with chia! Very good wine selection and plenty of aperitifs and digestifs. Prices still moderate.

Disappointed the second time. Carbonara tasted like nothing. Food was just watery. No salt, no cheese could be tasted. Discussion with the chef in the dining room. He did everything right and you can't cancel the meal. impudence. Be served fillet instead of medallions. Noticed too late. We had to pay for the fillet. Never experienced it before. Service, cutlery had to be requested. Nobody looked to see if the right dish was available, or if we had any at all, for the next dish. I didn't like discussing the bill on Sunday afternoon. We wanted to save grandpa, over 90, and child the stress. No accommodation. On the first visit the meat was rare instead of medium. Now the restaurant is history for us. Fine dining and service looks different. Potsdam has other really good ones to offer.

Ein stilvolles Restaurant, leider dauert der Service etwas wenn es voll ist. Geschmacklich total in Ordnung, Vorspeisen sehr lecker, Filet auf den Punkt, Soße war nicht unser Fall. Pizza grandios! Tiramisu optisch der Knaller, Löffelbiskuit zu weich.

Immer wieder ein schönes Erlebnis. Vor allem der Service ist ein Grund wiederzukommen. Ambiente und Essen ebenso sehr gut.

As soon as we entered the restaurant it felt like we were being a nuisance instead of being welcome. Nevertheless, we sat down and wanted to eat in peace. Then the boss came and suddenly became extremely rude because we had our little Chihuahua in a bag. Although we had already sat down and were even shown to the table by himself, we were suddenly asked to get up immediately and leave the restaurant. The whole thing happened in a tone that was simply disrespectful. We regularly eat in various restaurants in Potsdam and are welcome guests everywhere. We have never experienced such unfriendly and condescending treatment! In other restaurants, hospitality is very important. Here, however, one had the feeling of being unwanted. The boss seemed extremely arrogant and condescending, as if he were something better. You can communicate things differently, with kindness and respect, but that doesn't seem to matter here. Fortunately, there are many other Italians in Potsdam who not only impress with good cuisine, but also with genuine hospitality. If you want to enjoy a nice evening with good food in a pleasant atmosphere and value a pleasant restaurant experience, you should avoid this place.

Indeed, the way I was treated in this restaurant is unacceptable. The order taking had started well, with a smiling and friendly waiter. And then the wait began. After an hour and a quarter of waiting, we had only been served a salad, and we saw the tables around us being served and then cleared. When I asked if there was a problem with our order, the waiter replied that it would be here in 2-3 minutes, then in 5 minutes. After another quarter of an hour, I decided to ask for the bill and leave the restaurant. I was told that when you order risotto, you should expect to wait 40 minutes. I understand, I replied, but I didn't order risotto. From that moment on, I didn't get a reply. Not a word of explanation or apology. Worse, the waiter started to get seriously angry and to insult me. Another waiter intervened to calm him down, but I didn't see the slightest reaction from the man who seemed to be the manager and who remained silent and at a distance. To top it all off, the waiter put on a jacket and followed us onto the pavement to continue insulting us, and a new waiter had to step in again. The former name of this restaurant was ‘savoir-vivre’, and the name change was indeed justified.

so richtig wohl gefühlt haben wir uns nicht. Der Kellner war zwar sehr freundlich der Empfang durch den (vielleicht) Restaurantleiter war jedoch gaaaanz wenig emphatisch. Die Vorspeise Mozzarella mit Rindertartar hat sehr gut geschmeckt und war auch schön angerichtet. Dagegen Ricotta mit Tomate war eher langweilig. Bei der Hauptspeise Saltimbocca hatte die helle Sauce leider fast keinen Geschmack und das war sehr schade, das Fleisch war ok und das Gemüse auch. Das Nudelgericht war ok. Wir saßen an einem 2er Tisch. Leider sitzt man auf der Bank höher als sein Gegenüber und das passt dann auch nicht zum Tisch. In der Summe hat es für uns leider nicht gepasst.

Phantastisches Essen, toller Service und optisch großartiges Ambiente. Nur leider olfaktorisch stark durch regelmäßige Wolken von Fäkalgeruch, der durch das Restaurant waberte, gestört. Dies trübte dann schon sehr den Genuss, schade

This is our third time here and we always enjoy coming back. As always, the service was top notch! The food, today there was only the Christmas menu, was once again amazing! The saddle of veal is so tender and the dessert is a poem! But this time I have something to note: I didn't like the music selection this time at all. This time the sound was played with electronic/trap Christmas music. The music itself is okay, but for a restaurant with such an atmosphere, some more relaxed music (e.g. jazz) would have been better. I found the chosen music almost a bit disturbing. But all in all, it was a very nice visit and we will definitely come back at some point!
