Today I ate “Tagliatelle with fillet tips”. The so-called fillet tips tasted and looked like cheap, pre-seasoned, pickled barbecue pork. The sauce was unremarkable. Conclusion: years ago good cuisine, now turned into a tourist rip-off. The staff is mixed friendly/attentive, depends on the waiter, on the whole the service is okay to good.

The restaurant is located in the same block as the Brandenburger Tor in Potsdam. It was very nice sitting in the outdoor seating area of the restaurant and enjoying a nice meal in a sunny weather. Enjoyed the daily special menu of the beef pasta with mushrooms and risotto with peas and veggie. The portion here is quite big, certainly very filling after the meal.

My husband and I are regulars at Assaggi and can only recommend it. It is one of the best Italian restaurants in Potsdam. The pasta is excellent, and the ambience, service and staff are top! We always look forward to enjoying a little culinary trip to Italy with you.

The antipasti plate was very tasty, but the pasta dish was disappointing. When I asked whether it was tasty (a purely rhetorical question from the waiter), I answered honestly that the pasta tasted quite bland. "There has never been such criticism before, otherwise I would probably use too much salt," was the waiter's answer. A pretty outrageous answer, because to mine I can rely on my taste buds. But in the end he didn't care because the reviews on the Internet tell a different story. In any case, me and my family will not recommend this restaurant.

Unfortunately, we let the good reviews deceive us into visiting Assagi. The waitresses clearly show a tourist that they are not a regular guest. There is a clear two-tier division in the treatment of guests. The antipasti plate is quite okay, the pasta dishes are hardly seasoned and everything is served a bit carelessly. A request for additional bread to accompany the vitello tonnato was ignored. You should think carefully about whether you should sit down on the noisy Luisenplatz at a restaurant that, in our opinion, is far too well-rated or whether you would rather sit down on a quiet side street at one of the really good Italian restaurants.

I can only recommend this Italian restaurant to a limited extent. Starter was okay, I can do the pasta with fillet tips better myself - the price-performance ratio is in no way right here. The service left me with an arrogant impression. Despite the positive reviews, I'll look for another Italian restaurant in Potsdam...

Great atmosphere, especially outside in summer. Unfortunately only a small selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Meat and fish dishes sometimes fluctuate in quality. Otherwise great restaurant with beautiful decor.

Delicious food, good wines at fair prices

After a warm welcome my son and I enjoyed delicious pasta dishes (as good as our recent trip to Sicily) and luckily had room for tirimasu (very light) and amaretti parfait (stunning). Clean plates all round! Ps the place was packed. Always a good sign of good food and good service.

Discovered spontaneously on March 8th and strolled in. Hossa, almost every table was reserved: we were still able to get a place. The service is typically Italian: very warm, fast and authentic. In addition to a very nice, clear standard menu, there were additional offers on one (or two) boards that were brought up and placed in position for each new table. Very attentive, beautiful detail. The rooms are flooded with light and there is a nice atmosphere with the open bar and kitchen. Italian words from the bar/kitchen make you feel like you're on vacation somewhere in Sicily. A place that invites you to enjoy and linger. I can't wait to enjoy my Aperol Spritz on the terrace here in the summer! The Vitello Tonnato - the flagship of an Italian restaurant - was simply amazing, as were the rest of our selection of dishes. For the main course there was pasta with swordfish & zucchini and once with veal salsiccia. Wow, both in terms of taste and portion size, an absolute culinary delight. The Sicilian Grillo was also a hit. Unfortunately, after the starter and main course, we didn't have room for dessert, which we will definitely try next time! Despite the tourist location right on Luisenplatz, the Assagi is an absolute crown jewel. A great store that definitely belongs to ours Will become a new regular Italian!

It was our first time at Assaggi and we were thrilled. Nice welcome and we were shown to the table. Good-humored and friendly waiter. The homemade noodles were amazing. We'd love to come back. Highly recommended.

The atmosphere and people is very nice. Menu seems long with a lot of fish options. We took two pasta dishes from recommended list and they were just blank. Considering almost 20 euro per pasta, pasta should be good.

Essen sehr lecker, angefangen beim Salat über die Vorspeisen bis hin zu den Fischgängen. Eines der besten frischen Fischgerichte seit langem. Aber auch die Gnocchi waren ultralecker. Selbst für unseren Großen Schweizer Sennenhund gab es ein schönes Plätzchen. Das Team ist sehr nett und wir hatten einen schönen Abend mit der Familie. Absolute Weiterempfehlung.

Wir haben nach einem Restaurant gesucht, welches Menschen mit Beeinträchtigungen einen komplikationsfreien Besuch ermöglicht. Parallel dazu sollte das Ambiente einladend sein, gern auch weg vom klassischen Pizza und Pasta Italiener an der Ecke. Alle diese Kriterien werden hier erfüllt! Unsere Erwartungen wurden um einiges übertroffen. Der Service - sehr freundlich Das Essen - ein Gedicht, selten waren wir von der Auswahl, der überaus ansprechenden Gerichte so angetan! Atmosphäre - die offene Küche ist nicht nur optisch ein Highlight Geschmack - exzellent Preise - dem Service und Geschmack angemessen Wir waren sehr angetan! Unsere Empfehlung ist, dass im Vorfeld besser reserviert wird. Dieses Restaurant ist ein kulinarisches Highlight!

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant, sehr leckerer Weißwein Wir waren allerdings zur Weihnachtsfeier dort, der Menü Hauptgang war etwas lieblos, dafür wird das a la carte umso besser sein!

Wir waren in unserem Kurzurlaub jeden Abend dort essen weil es uns so gut geschmeckt hat. Noch dazu war das Personal sehr freundlich und hat uns mit unserer 9 Monate alten Tochter herzlich begrüßt.

Honestly, it took me by surprise. We took the buffalo mozzarella as a starter and then the tiger prawns with tomato sauce and the tagliatelle with truffle sauce and oyster mushrooms. Ad a dessert the amazing creme brûlée. It was soooo good!!! 11/10!

Really good italian restaurant, couldn't stand out against top level italian restaurants in germany though. Both service and the food were appreciatively good, but nothing special.

2+ hour lunch with a toddler was a bit too much. We live in Europe and are used to long dinners, the long lunch was too much.

Wir haben dort hervorragend gegessen, wurden schnell und freundlich bedient, und konnten wunderbar unter den Schirmen vor dem Restaurant sitzen.

Sehr schönes Lokal mit netten Service (nur beim Teller abräumen wurden wir eine Weile übersehen). Auch unsere Hunde waren willkommen - wir saßen draußen, glaube aber auch innen wäre es erlaubt gewesen. Wir hatten Nudeln mit Lachs und Nudeln mit Salaica und Pfifferlingen. Beides war sehr sehr lecker und die Portion ausreichend. Vor dem Essen wurden uns Oliven mit Brot gereicht und Parmesan zu den Nudeln gab es auch. Das Tiramisu war auch gut, hier fanden wir 9€ allerdings etwas teuer für die Größe der Portion. Auch die Getränke waren etwas teurer als wir es gewohnt sind (beispielsweise 3€ für 0,2l Saftschorle) Alles in allem aber einfach ein sehr gutes Lokal in toller Lage mit leckeren Speisen und netten Angestellten. Kann man empfehlen. Die Krönung wäre noch gewesen wenn uns für die Hunde Wasser angeboten hätte 🙂

Das "Assaggi" Restaurant ist am Luisen Platz 3, in 14467 Potsdam, gelegen. Als Gast finde ich hier eine kreative italienische Küche in einem schwarz - weiß gestyltem Restaurant, mit Holztischen und Glastüren zur Terrasse vor. Die Atmosphäre ist dort sehr angenehm und das Ambiente ist auch sehr schön. Ich habe dort ein gepflegtes Bier getrunken und ein Vitello Tonnato verzehrt. Beides hat mir sehr delicious geschmeckt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und sehr wertvoll. Ich darf diese vortreffliche Adresse gerne weiter empfehlen! Food is fine, service seemed good. At first. Then we had to wait for 30+ minutes for our pasta after the salad, and when I said we would need to leave soon the waiter started to argue with us and disagree about the timing, even though I said “we shouldn’t quarrel about that”, he continued the argument. And I am sure I was correct, but even if not-interruption and being overall rude surprised me

Ein auf den Punkt perfekt gegrilltes Filetsteak. Mit 31, 50 Euro ein wenig teuer, dennoch besteht absolut Wiederholungsgefahr. Kellner sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir kommen wieder.

Wir haben hier etwas später Mittag gegessen. Leckere Speisen, die in einer offenen Küche zubereitet werden. Neben der normalen Karte gab es noch eine Tafel mit Tagesangeboten, die vom freundlichen Personal jeweils in Tischnähe platziert wurde. Die Linguini mit Kalbsragout und frischen Pfifferlingen war von der Tafel. Preis-Leistung top, gerne wieder.
