The ambience at the lake is really nice. The location too. The selection on the map is limited. Especially if you have to eat vegetarian or lactose-free. We had several guests (especially children who had small requests for changes) ask whether there was milk or cream in the food and whether a pasta dish could also be vegetarian. They were reluctantly answered in the affirmative but then still partially ignored. There was cream cheese or cream in the carbonara. That belongs in an org. But carbonara is actually not pure. There are obviously no children's plates.

Were there with 4 people and wanted food. We were completely ignored for over 20 minutes, even though the waiter walked past the table x times. The restaurant wasn't nearly full. The glasses from the predecessors were not cleared away. Incredible and underground, we got up and told the waiter why we were leaving the restaurant. So definitely avoid...

Very disappointing. The service seems overwhelmed and forgets everything. And despite reservations, tables and chairs still have to be put together. Card payment is reduced to EC, everything else is not possible. The terrace makes a run-down impression and the furniture is also getting old. The food was still good, even if the pike perch only came in fillet pieces and was very dry. Still water comes in unlabeled bottles and could be expensive tap water. The bottle of wine was not opened at the table. It's a real shame, but we won't go here anymore!

Very bad restaurant. 6.50€ for water that was filled into a jug? Impudence! Long waiting time. Dangerous nails sticking out of the ground that can injure you... The menu is no longer up to date (certain items weren't available) Garbage is piled up on one side of the restaurant… Food didn't come as stated on the menu...

We made an appointment for a rehearsal dinner for our wedding. We received a warm and friendly welcome like rarely anywhere else. The ambience seemed loving and to our taste with beautiful details. We discussed our wishes with care and good advice and were royally treated to samples. Communication up to the wedding was always good and questions and requests were addressed promptly. The service at the location was quick and the “deliverer” of the food we ordered was incredibly nice. Days later, our guests were still raving about the delicious food, which was more than plentiful. All in all, our celebration was partly thanks to the great food. The water lily will continue to be our first choice when it comes to catering in the future. 1000 thanks again to the entire team. We actually wanted to eat pizza, unfortunately the pizza maker was sick and we had to eat pasta. It was tasty, but it wasn't anything out of the ordinary.

We have been going to the Seerose again and again for years because it is beautifully located on the water. We have experienced different operators over the years. The current service is by far the worst service we have experienced to date. We made a reservation and stood a little lost at the entrance until someone came and cleared a table for us. The cards were still on the table so we could choose straight away. It then took about 20-25 minutes until we could order. By the way, pizza was out. That's what it said on the board. Cappuccino too, by the way. The machine probably didn't work. The taste of my food was good, but that of my companion was rather average. A meal was supposed to be packaged to take away, but apparently ended up in the trash. As compensation we were offered two drinks. After we received the two drinks, we were told we had to pay for the second one. We'll come back when the team changes. Currently no recommendation!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Seerose in Potsdam, and it was an outstanding experience. The restaurant's ambience is truly wonderful, with its prime location right in front of the lake. We had the chance to enjoy our dinner while watching the sunset, which added a magical touch to our evening. The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who made sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious, particularly the antipasti for two people. The shrimps were really well done and absolutely delicious. I also tried the pork sirloin. While it was slightly overdone and a bit dry, it was still enjoyable and didn't detract significantly from the overall meal. Additionally, the cleanliness of the place was impressive, which added to the overall pleasant experience. The prices were very reasonable, offering great value for the quality of food and service provided.

Been there 07/24. Service great - very friendly Spontaneously without reservation was possible. The food was very tasty. Price performance was right for me. The restaurant is on a main road, but the outside area faces the Havel - therefore a great view. EC payment possible from €20!

The food was quite good but unfortunately the service was not. Despite a reservation, no table seemed to be prepared, so we were given one with dishes, etc. on it. The dishes were cleared away, crumbs and leftover food from the previous person were not. Then we waited 25 minutes until we could place an order. However, it wasn't particularly crowded. The prices on site do not match what is on the homepage.

Nice location on the lake, hence a slightly higher price orientation. The quality of the food for the four of us was very good. When it rained we were able to move inside without any problems. We liked the seating of director's chairs. What's special is the view of the lake and the boats passing by. Cocktails were rather weak and the service at the tables was negligent (full ashtrays and glasses standing around on empty tables).

The food was good. As for the staff, we cannot say the same! Very limited politeness.

I am shocked by the behavior of the staff in this restaurant. When we arrived we were completely ignored by the staff even though we politely asked for a table. It was obvious that foreign customers are not welcome here as other guests were served immediately while we were deliberately overlooked. After this humiliating experience, we left the restaurant without eating there. I will definitely not recommend this restaurant.

Sunday lunchtime at 1:30 p.m. we wanted to eat and drink. The waiter assigned us a nice table for four and then nothing happened for 20 minutes. The old dishes were on the table and hadn't been cleared away, the waiter walked past our table empty-handed and completely ignored us. The restaurant was not full and therefore the waiter was not overwhelmed, which we would then understand. My husband then went in and politely said goodbye to the waiter with the information that we would no longer be visiting this restaurant. You can't treat guests like that. . .

I was very disappointed with my visit to this restaurant. Unfortunately, I experienced that foreign customers are treated very badly here. The service was unfriendly and we were ignored several times while other guests were served promptly. It is very unfortunate that such behavior still occurs in this day and age. I definitely won't be back and can't recommend this restaurant.

Delicious food and very nice staff,

Rude waiter who complained about not getting a tip. Why does he have to question himself? We wanted to eat something but the offer has changed since our last visit years ago and the few tables that were occupied left a lot of it standing and didn't eat it. That was one reason for changing restaurants. The waiter's behavior was embarrassing to the other employees and as a manager I would treat such a person... ..... but the owner has to know that himself.

Were there for lunch on June 8th, 2024; Taking the order was fine - but as soon as we started clearing the plates we were ignored. No one was asked whether they would like a dessert or a drink; The waiter still showed up at the table after being asked to pay. After a long wait, we went into the house on our own to be able to pay. There was neither a “thank you” for the tip nor a farewell. Very, very bad service there - we definitely won't be back.

The food was very delicious and was even kindly prepared before 5pm as we arrived 30 minutes early. The service was also very attentive and courteous. The location of the restaurant is simply fantastic. Thank you very much for the wonderful evening. ♡

I read the reviews before visiting and was skeptical. But!!! We had two waitresses who were very nice, attentive and quick. The prices are high, which is also a but!!!, because the portions were huge and of good quality. If you can sit outside, you not only have good food but also a beautiful view with birdsong and sparkling water :) We felt very comfortable!

It's a great restaurant with a beautiful view, fantastic service and perfect food. We felt completely comfortable and would come back at any time. We highly recommend the spaghetti Bolognese and the panacotta. :)

All in all very nice! The food is delicious! The cocktails are a bit "weak" but that's a matter of taste.. It was a bit stuffy at times, but upon request the window was opened to let in fresh air. I'd love to come back.

We had to interrupt the meal due to an unforeseen problem that arose and the staff helped us a lot, preparing the food to take away. And, by the way, it was very delicious! They were all very kind and understanding. We would like to return to be able to enjoy it with the tranquility that the views deserve.

My girlfriend and I wanted to eat there yesterday. And even though the restaurant was almost empty and there were two waiters on duty, they deliberately ignored us. After waiting for some time, we got a ticket ourselves. After we chose, we waved at the gentleman behind the bar hoping someone would come to take our order. He looked at us with a blank stare, but made no move to come to us or to let one of the waitresses know (one of them was even standing next to him, but consistently didn't look in our direction.) We were simply treated like air. Guys, if you don't feel like working, the restaurant will close! But literally letting guests “starve” is pretty mean. We then got up and left. But that probably didn't bother anyone, at least no one tried to hold us back. I have never experienced such behavior in an Italian restaurant. No recommendation!

The water lily in Potsdam is one of the few landmarks that have survived from the times of the former GDR. The hypershell building by master builder Ulrich Müther impresses not only with its unique shape in an organic style, but also with its delicious food and the always friendly and attentive service. Access is at ground level and barrier-free. The view of the Havel Bay further enhances the culinary delights. A walk around the bay is highly recommended as a tour over the railway bridge, as the water lily makes a uniquely beautiful photo opportunity, especially during cherry blossom season. 😍

We celebrated our granddaughter's baptism with 30 people in the Seerose, three very friendly young restaurant specialists created a feel-good atmosphere, served quickly and generously with a smile, everything was plentiful and tasty, including the cake, thank you!

I'm shocked!! I and my husband were in the restaurant on May 9th, 2024 around 6 p.m., we were told that all tables were reserved and they didn't want to serve us because we are not of German origin, but other guests were allowed to sit down without a reservation. It was very rude and racist behavior! I then asked the waitress again what that was supposed to be. Suddenly we were given a table but at the beginning without any conditions, we were ignored! Well, after that, of course, she had to do her job. The bottom line is that customers choose them!!!!

You sit right on the Havel and can eat and drink very well. The staff is very friendly. We always like to come here. Thank you.

We ate a salt & pepper pizza and the gnocci. Both very tasty. A nice, original restaurant with a great view of the lake. The employees were very friendly and the service was good.

In my opinion, the ambience is much better. In summer the Havel Bay can bring out a lot. Food good average, prices OK. Card payment is a bit old school (only EC possible at the counter).

All in all a very nice shop. There is a deduction for the food because I can expect better quality for the price. The location is very nice, everything is clean and the service was very sweet. Nevertheless, I would like to go again because I also really like the interior.

Good pizza to enjoy in the sun at a reasonable price. You don't need much more to be satisfied 😊🌞 However, I would like to emphasize the absolutely friendly service again. We have already been greeted with a smile and that gives you a great feeling and makes you feel welcome. Thanks for that 😊

Delicious Italian dishes with a view of the Havel Bay

Two adults, two children. After a short wait we got a table on the first sunny day of the year and yes, what can I say? Starter, salad including dressing and main courses were all very, very good! There was no direct connection between price and performance, as the performance downgraded the price as a side note. So thank you very much from us, we'll be happy to come back!

The pizza was incredibly good, the dough was nice and thin and fluffy, fresh mozzarella. The waiters were also very friendly. Clear recommendation and should be rated much better.

The food (pizza, pasta and fish) was consistently very good. Likewise the starter. The service was consistently friendly, no matter who was at our table. Wine recommendations could also be given. Two points of criticism: the fish was only lukewarm and you had to eat it very quickly. And as soon as you enter the restaurant, it doesn't smell very inviting due to the toilets in the entrance area.

The ambience and view are great. The food (pizza) also tasted good. The only point of criticism is the entrance area. On the one hand, it is not easy to find and then you notice an unpleasant smell from the sanitary area when you enter the restaurant.

You don't feel like you're sitting in the middle of Potsdam. Great service and the food was awesome. Escape from everyday life for once.

We ordered our Christmas geese to pick up here and were very satisfied. The geese were nice and crispy on the outside and nice and tender on the inside. Red cabbage, kale, dumplings and sauce were well seasoned and enjoyed by everyone.

Wir waren zum Superangebot hier Martinsgans essen. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Tisch, mit Blick auf die Havel. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und spaßig. Das Essen war sehr lecker, wurde auch aufgefüllt was leer war, Soße, Grünkohl, Rotkohl, Klöße. Die Gans wurde am Tisch zerlegt. War ein sehr schönes Essen, kann ich nur empfehlen 👍.

Das Essen war gut,, die Bedienung freundlich, tolles Ambiente.

Ein sehr schöner Abend mit einem wirklich guten Essen (Hauptgang und Dessert) bei einem Service wie man ihn heutzutage oft vermisst: Freundlich, aufmerksam, nicht aufdringlich und mit guter Beratung. Man sitzt gut, man isst gut und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt.

Nette kleine Pizzeria direkt am Wasser gelegen. Nicht ganz billig aber lecker. Bedienung sehr nett und lustig. Alles in allem zu empfehlen wenn man in Potzdam Essen gehen mag und einen schönen Blick über den See genießen mag.

Hatten nur ein Glas Wein, weil alle anderen Restaurants voll waren, aber da ist soviel schief gelaufen.. die Tischdecke war so fleckig, der Kellner ignorierte uns eine ganze Weile und unterhielt sich sehr lautstark und mit unübersichtlichen Gestiken mit Gästen über das Restaurant das er in Griechenland verloren habe.. sehr traurige Geschichte, aber davon muss ja nicht das ganze Restaurant erfahren.. die Gäste neben uns beschwerten sich über ein Stück Plastik in ihrem essen und unser Sprudelwasser war so abgestanden.. vllt war auch nur die Patrone vom Sodamax leer, wer weiß das schon.. zur Krönung wurde uns dann mitgeteilt man könne erst ab 50€ mit Karte zahlen.. Schade ist es um diese tolle Lokation mit Blick aufs Wasser, aber zum wiederkommen lädt das wirklich nicht ein..

Die Seerose befindet sich direkt am Wasser mit schöner Aussicht von der Sommer-Terrasse. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Leider eine etwas überschaubare Karte. Zu empfehlen sind die gut zubereiteten und großzügigen Pizzen. Die Preise sind noch gut im Rahmen. Fazit: empfehlenswert.

Wir hatten eine Tischreservierung für 11 Personen mit Vorbesprechung wegen Aperitif, Vorspeisen und Dessert und Hauptspeise konnte jeder selbst entscheiden. Es hat alles super geklappt und alle haben den Abend genossen. Ich war rundum zufrieden.

Essen ist immer top. Der Service schwankt leider. Essen kam dieses Mal vor den Getränken und ohne Besteck. Das Brot war alt und hart. Ausschlaggebend für die Gesamtbewertung ist jedoch der Umgang des Kellners mit meiner Kritik, der meine aufgeführten Punkte relativiert hat „Brot haste ja dann noch bekommen“ mit schnaufen. Liebes Seeroseteam: wenn ich auf Nachfrage Kritik äußere, dann gehe ich davon aus, dass ihr diese auch hören wollt. Als unzufriedener Gast möchte ich weder belehrt noch informiert werden, dass ihr mit Zeitarbeitsfirmen arbeitet. Und wenn ihr dies aus Personalnot macht, dann sagt euren Aushilfen bitte, dass ihre Festivalarmbänder nicht in meinem Essen hängen brauchen. Gerne schule ich euer Personal im Bereich Reklamationsmanagement.

Das Restaurant ist wirklich sehr schön gelegen, man sitzt direkt am Wasser. Wir hatten reserviert. Ohne Reservierung scheint es Glücksache zu sein, ob man einen Tisch bekommt oder nicht. Hier entscheidet wohl das Personal. Wir waren mehrere Stunden vor Ort und haben während dessen erlebt, das manchen Leute erzählt wurde, es sei alles reserviert, anderen wurde ein Tisch gegeben. Ansonsten war das Personal sehr freundlich und bemüht. Das Essen war gut, könnte aber für die Preisklasse besser sein. Das Brot vorweg war sehr trocken. Frisch ist anders. Wenn ich eine ganze Dorade bestelle, und man mit sagt sie wird am Tisch filetiert, dann erwarte ich, daß sie an meinem Tisch filetiert wird und ich zusehen kann. Zudem hatte der Fisch noch einiges an Greten, das hätte ich dann doch Leiber selber gemacht. Insgesamt aber ein schönes Essen, ich würde aber jedem empfehlen zu reservieren und Zeit mitzubringen.

Wir waren an Himmelfahrt zum Abendessen hier. Vielleicht war genau das der Fehler. Die 2 Bedienungen und 1 Aushilfe waren vermutlich ob des Vormittages arg gebeutelt und sichtlich erschöpft. Zwar wurden wir freundlich empfangen und platziert, aber sowohl Brot als auch Pfeffer und Salz oder Olivenöl wurden teilweise erst auf Nachfrage gereicht oder von uns selbst vom Service abgeholt. Das Essen war gut, aber eindeutig zu lange unter der Wärmelampe. Meine (sehr leckere) Sauce, war leider komplett mit Haut überzogen. Größter Kritikerpunkt aber gilt der Sauberkeit. Sowohl im Gastraum als auch in dem Sanitäranlagen. Hier muss nachgebessert werden. Was nützt das schönste Ambiente und einmalige Architektur, wenn es überall Dreckecken gibt. Wir werden wieder kommen, allein um zu schauen, ob unser Timing einfach nur schlecht war. Meine Bewertung würde ich dann entsprechend anpassen.

Hervorragendes Essen. Nettes Personal. Auch mit Kindern wurden wir zuvorkommend bedient. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Sehr lange auf Getränke und das bestellte Essen gewartet. Ebenfalls auf das Abräumen bzw. Nachbestellungen. Essen war ok ich fand es ziemlich teuer. Schnitzel mit Spargel 32,- Euro, die Pizza hatte keinen richtigen Geschmack und war sehr trocken. Nachtisch hat enttäuscht ... Crème brûlée. Ich werde nicht wiederkommen.

Leider entsprach die Qualität des Essens nicht dem Preisniveau. Beim Vitello Tonnato war der Thunfisch kaum erkennbar. Die Doraden waren sehr klein und die Rosmarinkartoffeln waren wässrig. Die Toiletten waren nicht ausreichend gereinigt, so etwas habe ich noch nicht erlebt. Schade, dass die Betreiber bei der tollen Lage nicht mehr daraus machen.
