Bereits beim Betreten des feinen, kleinen Restaurants hat uns das gemütliche Ambiente und der köstliche Duft aus der Küche bewogen, dem Wirt freie Hand zu lassen - sowohl bei den Speisen als auch bei den Weinen und es wurde ein wunderbarer Abend. Die Speisen - sicherlich nichts Verrücktes aber eben eine Nonnaküche in höchster Vollendung, bestehend aus besten Zutaten liebevoll kredenzt vom Patrone persönlich. Man geht hier nicht einfach nur zum Essen, der Abend wird zu einem grossartigen Erlebnis, als ginge man ins Theater. Köstliche Weine gab es natürlich auch, achja und der Preis passt absolut zum Gebotenen!

Wir hatten das große Glück, an einem kinderfreien Wochenende spontan einen Tisch im Zanotto zu bekommen. Und was soll ich sagen? Unser "Stoßgebet" wurde mehr als erhört. Das Zanotto ist kein gewöhnliches Restaurant. Vom ersten Moment an hatten wir das Gefühl, nicht als zahlende Kunden, sondern als Freunde bei Cristiano zu Hause eingeladen zu sein. Die Atmosphäre ist das genaue Gegenteil von steif: Sie ist direkt, ehrlich und wunderbar aufrichtig. Cristiano ist unglaublich nahbar, bewahrt dabei aber eine Professionalität, die man selten findet. Die Küche ist authentisch, frisch und exzellent. Ein ganz besonderes Highlight waren für uns die alkoholfreien Weinen und Aperitifs. Die Auswahl ist zwar klein, aber was dort angeboten wird, ist qualitativ absolut nicht von dieser Welt! Wir waren so begeistert, dass wir uns im Anschluss direkt eine Kiste für zu Hause bestellt haben. Wer gehobene italienische Gastronomie ohne Allüren, mit ganz viel Seele und einem Blick für echte Qualität (auch abseits von Alkohol) sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Wir waren zum Tulpenfest in Potsdam und haben vorher nach kleinen Geheimtipps gesucht wo wir zu Abend essen gehen können. Dabei sind wir auf das Zanotto gestoßen. Das Lokal ist klein und urig und verströmt eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre. Die Karte war sehr übersichtlich, aber nicht immer bedarf es großer Auswahl nur um gut zu sein. Wir bekamen als Amuse-Gueule 2 kleine Bruschetta und Sauerteig-Brot mit Olivenöl. Sehr lecker. Vorspeise und Hauptspeise waren auf den Punkt zubereitet. Für ein Dessert hatten wir leider keinen Platz mehr im Bauch 😪 Mini-Kritikpunkt war der nicht ganz so super aufmerksame Service - den Wein haben wir uns dann einfach selbst nachgegossen (machen wir ja daheim auch). Das Lokal empfehlen wir dennoch sehr gerne weiter. Viele Grüße aus Augustusburg

Ich bin durch Zufall in das Restaurant gekommen und war direkt verzaubert von der Atmosphäre. Endlich mal ein Restaurant, das sich wirklich anfühlt wie ein italienisches authentisches Restaurant im Urlaub. Die Karte ist wirklich sehr, sehr klein, aber ich würde sagen, dass jeder dort fündig werden kann. Einzig dass es an den kleinen Rundtischen wirklich extrem eng ist, könnte man kritisieren, aber das macht den Charme des Restaurants aus. Der einzige Wermutstropfen war, dass ich mit einem Kollegen dort war. Ich würde sagen, dass das Restaurant eher für einen romantischen Abend zu zweit geeignet ist, aber mit einem Arbeitskollegen nach Feierabend ist das vielleicht ein bisschen zu pittoresk.

Wunderbar! Die leckerste Pasta, die wir je gegessen haben! Der Service war prima und wir haben uns sehr willkommen und wohl gefühlt. Wir hatten hier ein perfekten Abend, vielen Dank!

Das Restaurant in der Potsdamer Innenstadt ist ein kleiner, feiner Italiener, bei dem man einen entspannten und vor allem kulinarisch wundervollen Abend erleben kann. Hier wird die Pasta selbst hergestellt, was man auch schmeckt. Die Vorspeisen und Desserts sind superlecker und die Weinauswahl vorzüglich. Man sollte dem Padrone von Beginn an sein Vertrauen schenken und man wird nicht enttäuscht. Alles in allem 5 Sterne und wir kommen gerne wieder, wenn wir wieder in Potsdam zu Gast sind.

Das ist wirklich mal ein Restaurant in Potsdam was einem das Gefühl vermittelt, dass man tatsächlich denkt, man ist im Urlaub. So viel einheimische Küche, Gastfreundlichkeit, Wertschätzung und ganz viel Liebe fürs Detail. Mega! Hat meines Erachtens eine Auszeichnung verdient. Einfach toll und verdammt selten.

Kleines aber feines und vor Allem echtes italienisches Restaurant unter leidenschaftlicher persönlichen Führung. Alles frisch und lecker von Chris serviert und immer eine Story zur Herkunft der Produkte parat!

Fantastisches Essen, tolle Atmosphäre und ein Service, der wirklich Spaß macht. Im Zanotto stimmt einfach alles: frische Zutaten, perfekt zubereitet und mit viel Liebe angerichtet. Ich finde es leider sehr schade, dass ich diesem Restaurant keine 10 Sterne geben kann. Wir waren dort zu zweit und ich glaube, dass es nicht besser werden kann. Unglaublich freundliches und kompetentes Personal, eine wunderbare, entspannte Atmosphäre und einfach unglaubliches Essen. So eine schöne Erfahrung würde ich jedem empfehlen und werde auf jeden Fall nochmal dorthin essen gehen.

Feiner Geheimtipp in der Innenstadt. Nur wenige, hausgemachte, absolut frische Gerichte. Wunderbares Ambiente mit vielen hochklassigen Bildbänden, in denen man blättern darf. Es ist wirklich wie im Wohnzimmer, manchmal muss man ein wenig auf den jungen Service warten, was der Besitzer charmant wieder ausbügelt. Reservierung ist nötig, denn es gibt nur wenige Plätze. Absolute Empfehlung.

Im Zanotto bekommt man selbst gebackenes, leckeres Brot, Olivenöl und Bruschetta aufs Haus. Die Vorspeisen, sind, ebenso wie die Hauptgerichte, serh lecker. Die Weine werden passend zu den Speisen gereicht. Alles in allem sind wir sehr zufrieden gewesen.

Ich mag das Ambiente vom Zanotto. Das kleine Restaurant ist inhabergeführt und hat eine gemütliche Atmosphäre. Leider ist das auch schon fast alles positive was ich berichten kann. Auch wenn das meiste selbstgemacht sein mag und die Zutaten in den Augen des Inhabers eine gute Qualität haben mögen, so stimmt aus meiner Sicht das Preis-Leistungs- und auch Geschmacksverhältnis nicht. Die Vorspeisen sind ziemlich teuer und haben nicht überzeugt. Es war absolut nichts besonderes. zB ein kleiner Teller voll mit Zuckerschoten ( für ca. 20€, genau weiß ich es nicht mehr) Geschmacklich waren sie sehr einseitig (mit nur etwas Öl und Salz). Die Nudeln mit Tomatensoße hatten viel zu viel Säure, waren also geschmacklich nicht abgestimmt und nach ein paar Bissen war das einfach zu sauer und für mich nicht genießbar. Die Getränke waren ok, aber auch sehr teuer. Vorweg gab es einen Aperitif, der einfach nur wie Federweißer geschmeckt hat. Insgesamt ein sehr teurer Besuch, der leider enttäuscht hat.

Ein tolles italienisches Restaurant. Kleine Karte, frische Speisen. Alles äußerst authentisch. Brot und Olivenöl als Einstimmung. Das Vitello Tonato war das beste welches ich bisher hatte. Auch die Pasta war top. Der Wein sowieso und der Espresso aus dem Herdkännchen. Echt klasse. Wir hatten echt Glück, spontan einen Tisch zu bekommen.

Zanotto ist das Beste! Es ist so schön, an einen Ort zu gehen, an dem man sich sehr darum kümmert, was auf den Tisch kommt. Wenn Sie zu Zanotto gehen, werden Sie gut versorgt – die Weinempfehlungen sind immer fantastisch, das Essen ist immer gut und die Pasta hat immer den perfekten Biss. Chris ist witzig, freundlich und rundet das Erlebnis ab. Die anderen Mitarbeiter sind freundlich, haben immer ein Lächeln für Sie und sind stets äußerst zuvorkommend. Sie werden sehen, wie Kräuter frisch gepflückt werden, um auf Ihrem Teller zu landen. Es wird immer ein Hit sein und Ihre Zeit und Ihr Geld wert sein! Ich kann Ihnen nur empfehlen, hierher zu kommen <3 Liebe Grüße von Irene!!

Hier wird echte italienische Gastfreundschaft gelebt - Küche und Service einfach sehr authentisch. Gute Produkte, einfache Gerichte. Kein Schnickschnack, aber alles sehr sehr köstlich. Dazu gibt es erstklassigen Wein. Und ganz viel Amore. Grazie!

Never again. The food was good, but nothing special. The service was rather poor; they didn't refill our wine or water. The owner was very self-absorbed. Not good value for money.

Exceptional and simply fabulous. There are truly no words to describe it! The ambiance is dreamy, the food even better. You immediately feel at home and are well advised regarding your food and drink choices. We'd love to come back! P.S.: Reservations are recommended :)

Unfortunately, I can't add to the many positive experiences. The food and drink selection was very limited; there wasn't even beer or soda, fish or meat. The few pasta dishes were also very expensive. Anyone who thinks that's the reason for the lack of a menu on the website is a scoundrel. I opted for the lasagna, for a whopping €23.50, due to a lack of alternatives. What I received was no culinary extravaganza, but rather a version that wasn't quite heated through, which tasted okay but was far from special. It wasn't a visual revelation either. For that price, we would have expected something different. The same went for the tiramisu, which cost either €8.50 or €9.50 (the bill doesn't explain this). A complete disappointment. Unfortunately, the taste was on par with the LÓsteria version, but it cost around €9 and was served in a narrow glass, which was the second disappointment. The dishes included in the total price were considerably better, however. Bruschetta, almond cookies, and an espresso showed that there seems to be potential. The seating isn't ideal either, although it's very individual. On the other hand, you quickly feel cramped, especially if you're tall. Overall, it's 2 stars; unfortunately, more was all we could get. "It should be worth it," according to the owner. At the time, I didn't realize that I wasn't meant to be a guest. A shame!

This isn't your average Italian restaurant. If you're looking for a unique culinary experience for a special evening, this is the place to be. The menu is small (3-5 main courses), but it features select, seasonal dishes. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, and the owner cares about his guests. The homemade pasta dishes are sensational, and the wine selection is extensive. We'll definitely be back.

Everything that people wrote about this establishment is true. A wonderfull place, amazing fresh pasta, beautiful decoration with dozens of basil plants surrounding you and probably the best desert I have had in my life. Make sure you book in advance, it was.completley full on a sunday night.

The Zanotto Restaurant is an absolute insider tip. Wonderful Italian dishes of top quality invite you to enjoy them. The atmosphere is intimate and very warm. The decor is exceptionally creative and charmingly conjures up an authentic Italian atmosphere. The owner and his team pamper their guests to a very high standard. Very authentic and delicious restaurant.

The food was delicious, but the price/performance ratio was absolutely terrible here: around €20 for pasta with tomato sauce. At the beginning, they ask for sparkling or still water, then they give you a whole bottle, which they charge you for without you even asking. Just like bread that's brought to the table by the house, they charge you for at the end...that's sheer outrageousness.

We thoroughly enjoyed the food here, and we would like to thank the entire team for the wonderful evening. A surprisingly wonderful experience!

Definitely worth a visit. Four of us went for dinner. It was indescribable; we won't forget this evening. The food was outstanding, the service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was fantastic.

An absolute experience; we were totally surprised. Not just Italian food, but a taste of it. The best ingredients and the freshest vegetables. Nothing out of the ordinary!

A wonderful, original restaurant in the heart of Potsdam. Great concept, a small menu, and a personal touch from the chef. The interior decor is very beautiful and so different. At the very end, there was a small faux pas when we asked to pay the bill separately. We should have sorted that out between ourselves, since it's not a pub, after all. It's a shame, but the visit still rounded off our stay in Potsdam.

The food was indeed delicious. However, the service and staff weren't up to the mark. The chairs were incredibly uncomfortable (just put a blanket or a cushion on the wooden chair), and despite the empty seats inside, the waiter refused to let us move tables (the set tables inside were free until closing time). The final issue was the price of a bottle of wine. A mediocre wine was served for 43 euros. Unfortunately, it didn't come with a TIP.

So sweet, so tasty, so unique! Where else can you get a whole artichoke and aioli these days? 🤩. A Barbera by the glass, very nice. And pasta, al dente! Perfect. Grazie.

The four of us had a great evening at Zanotto. We came here based on Google reviews – and we don't understand the negative ones. The owner is very friendly. There's a small menu (no pizza) with 3-4 starters and 3-4 main courses, water, and excellent wines. "Steak and fish" isn't available here. Everyone enjoyed the lasagna (with meat without tomato sauce), various pasta dishes, and delicious desserts, and it's also worth acknowledging that the pasta and bread are homemade. Anyone who still thinks "a plate of pasta" costs 8.50 these days should stay home. Quality has its price. And here, everything is just right. We had a great time, including with the owner himself. Perhaps some people should just say: What goes around comes around. We can highly recommend Zanotto to anyone who is open, friendly, and welcoming, just like the host himself.

Zanotto was one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. Chris, the owner and chef, is warm and welcoming. The restaurant has a cozy, charming atmosphere, with fresh herbs and vegetables incorporated into the decor. Chris makes all the pasta from scratch, and the flavors are light, fresh, and beautifully balanced.

1. Absolutely unfriendly host, including the temporary staff. You get the feeling that guests are a nuisance. We weren't greeted, just stood there, ignored, and the host responded to all of our requests in a very negative and dismissive manner. "There are no more seats available," he said, even though there were still plenty outside. "I can't serve you now, I'm very busy." "If you do, you'll have to wait at least 15 minutes." Not a single expression with a hint of a smile or friendliness. - "Okay," we think. It's unpleasant, but it can happen when he's too stressed. We understand. Then we wander around a bit and come back after 15 minutes. 2. I wanted to order a cappuccino in advance, but the response was: "We don't have any!" – a very original tone. 3. Outside after dinner (on the public sidewalk!), my husband smoked his e-cigarette. We were told it was prohibited. Okay, we accepted that immediately. But is it possible that this place is a kind of re-education camp? The owner even tells us what to drink. 4. My 0.1 L Francacorte for €11.50 was neither sufficient nor properly chilled. Due to insufficient refrigeration, the sparkling wine had a lot of foam and simply didn't taste good. 5. The lasagna was even served ice-cold inside. It was reheated in the microwave. It probably tasted okay, but overall it was very dry. 6. The pasta with prawns tasted okay, but there was very little of it. The owner had already said in advance that this dish had sold very well and that he still had some. He probably didn't have that many, so I'll get what was left. In total, we paid €91 for 1 pasta, 1 lasagna, 1 sparkling wine, 0.1 glass of wine, 2 desserts, and 1 espresso. When ordering, my husband asked about the wines available (his family grows their own Brunello wine), and was told he already had something, but the lasagna actually comes with white wine (??!). I find the prices very, very high for such an unprofessional place, and on top of that, such rude and unfriendly treatment! We didn't tip, which was a first for us. We usually tip even for less-than-stellar service if the people have made an effort. We were simply upset by the unfriendly attitude of the staff the whole evening. I almost never write a bad review about a restaurant; we usually always understand that working people don't have it easy either. But after what we experienced here, we really can't muster any more sympathy. We wouldn't want to experience something like that again. We were there last night. Overall, the food was very mixed. The menu is very small, just a few starters and a few pasta dishes. But that's actually a good sign. It's clear that this isn't an Italian restaurant with a full menu. I live mostly in Italy myself, and restaurants are different. My wife's pasta was positive. The ingredients were good, cooked to perfection. The prawns in particular weren't overcooked, but just as they should be, which is rather rare. I had lasagna, which wasn't OK. It was ice cold inside to begin with. OK, they reheated it, and it had probably been sitting out for a while. The edges were quite dry. The taste was OK, though, if too dry. They quickly reheated it, but they microwaved it because the cheese hadn't melted. Clearly, that was no oven, and if I didn't have one, maybe I shouldn't be offering lasagna. The service... yes, but somehow... it could have been more welcoming; you felt like you were intruding. Rather gruff. Another positive point... The chef seems to know a thing or two about wine. Also on the menu was a Francacorte instead of a bad Prosecco. For me, though, that's also an indication that they should be better at serving the "air-dried" microwave lasagna. All in all, it's nowhere near enough for five stars, but there's potential for improvement, as someone there seems to be a good cook, although in our case, that only partially came to the fore. Dessert was again okay. The prices... over €20 for a small piece of warmed lasagna isn't right. A total of just over €90 for two pastas, two desserts, a 0.1 bottle of red wine, a 0.1 bottle of Francacorte, a bottle of mineral water, and an espresso. I wouldn't invite guests there, nor would I recommend the restaurant. But it's not a disaster either. However, due to the deficiencies in the lasagna and service, the presentation doesn't deserve more than two stars. The prices weren't "cheap Italian" either; at €45 per person, while not very high, they should have been more.

A visit to Zanotto in Potsdam is like a mini-summer vacation in Italy! We went there with friends on Saturday and were completely thrilled. The ambiance is stylish, warm, and inviting, and the service is cordial and attentive without being intrusive. You immediately feel welcome. The carefully curated menu features authentic, lovingly prepared dishes, and the quality of the ingredients is absolutely top-notch – you can taste it in every bite. A glass of good wine, homemade pasta, a perfect dessert – you can't get more Italian than this in Brandenburg. 5 stars from the heart! Anyone who loves authentic Italian cuisine shouldn't miss a visit to Zanotto.

Wir waren als Touristen zu Gast und haben schon lange nicht mehr so exzellent gegessen. Zur Vorspeise hatten wie die Burrata, die wirklich hervorragend war. Bruschetta war, man es es sonst kennt, NICHT mit Zwiebeln überhäuft, sondern in Olivenöl kurz knusprig angeröstetes, selbst gebackenes Brot vom Inhaber. Es war super lecker! Als Hauptgerichte hatten wie die Spaghetti und Rigatoni. Ausreichend große Portionen, schön angerichtet und auch sehr lecker. Beim Dessert hatten wir uns für das Tiramisu und die Mascarpnecreme mit Erdbeeren entschieden - ein Genuss. Wir hatten einen wahnsinng leckeren Aperitif und noch einen Prosecco und eine tolle Flasche Weißwein. Insgesamt hatten wir einen 5-Sterne-Abend und können das Restaurant jedem empfehlen, der eine kleine Karte schätzt und hohe Qualität. Wichtig: Man bekommt hier keine Pizza, Fisch, oder Steak und "nur" Wasser und Wein - aber das ist absolut ausreichend. Wenn wir jemals wieder nach Potsdam kommen, wird das Zanotto unsere erste Wahl sein. Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend.

If you like authentic Italian food, this is the place for you. We spontaneously got a table for five people. The owner is very accommodating and super nice. The dishes are great and give a touch of summer vacation in Italy. We'd love to come back. Tutti i miei auguri e a presto!

Inhaber eher Hobbykoch anstatt professioneller Gastronom. Sehr dilettantisch alles. Lebensmittel werden ungekühlt und offen an Gäste Tischen aufbewahrt, im Sommer sicher ein Fest für Fliegen etc. Ein Fall für die LEBENSMITTELKONTROLLEURE in Potsdam! Ein Bier und 1 Wein wollten wir. Inhaber sagte er führe kein Bier, er gucke mal hinten ob er ein vielleicht findet. Hat er auch- 1 Bier im ganzen Restaurant! Frage nach Weinkarte wurde beantwortet damit das der Inhaber den Gästen den Wein aussucht gemäß ihren Speisen. Hingestellt wurde eine Flasche Wein ein drittel schon leer. Nachschenken kann man sich selbst, abgerechnet wird später. Abgerechnet wird nicht nach Glas sondern nach der eigenen Gusto-Methode des Inhabers. Ergebnis: Mir wurde unterstellt ich habe fast die ganze Flasche leer getrunken. Kosten über 30 Euro für 3 Minigläser a 0,1. Frechheit und Abzocke! Vorspeise Calameretti mit Salat bestellt. Bekommen Tiefkühlfertigprodukt Calamari-Ringe wie vom Discounter in groß aus Fritteuse, Fett triefend, mit einem Salatblatt. Nix mit italienische Feinkost. Hauptspeise überbackene Gnocchi war so eine Miniportion, dass geht sogar in Sterne Restaurants als Vorspeise durch. Insgesamt zog sich so der gesamte Abend mit einer Katastrophe nach der anderen. Had a fantastic evening here, with very, very tasty food.

If you're looking for a very special evening with good food, you'll get your money's worth here. The food is phenomenally good (the pasta is amazing!), the owner is very hard working and maintains the entire shop. The ambience is rustic and cozy, it invites you to linger. Unfortunately, I have to criticize three points, which is why I have to deduct two stars: 1. The owner's tone towards his employees, which you can immediately hear at the table directly in front of the counter. 2. There is no drinks menu and so we didn't know how much the owner's recommendation or even the wrong water cost. 3. We couldn't decide between the starters, so we were offered a variation of them. In the end, 5 full starters were charged (could also have been an unfortunate communication). Unfortunately, these points spoiled the evening so much that we no longer felt well at the end of the visit and therefore probably won't go to the restaurant again, even if the food is definitely worth it! Maybe we just had a bad day because the rest of the reviews speak for themselves.

Thank you very much for the excellent dinner. We were there as a group and were able to enjoy very tasty starters and main courses. Surprisingly small card, but you can talk about all your wishes with dear Mr. Zanotto. From what I've seen, the map is larger during warmer seasons. Very high quality with homemade pasta and bread. This is exactly how you imagine a cozy Italian restaurant to be. Somehow you feel at home. Outstanding and definitely a recommendation in Potsdam!

The best thing I've experienced in a long time! Walked through Potsdam from Berlin, booked two places there to try out the restaurant. The opening times just made me curious. Then the little card - fantastic. A few starters, pasta, wine and water. Absolutely top quality and it reminded me of my second adopted home, Italy. That's exactly how it works in the really good shops there.

Great service. The man was very nice, humane and had a very welcoming but professional charisma. The food was very tasty and authentic. The white wine recommendation was also very well chosen.

First of all, sometimes less is clearly more!!! We came across this gem of Italian cuisine by chance. We didn't regret our visit. A small but nice menu shows that only fresh products are used here. And indeed, the linguini with coriander/lemon and prawns was a poem. The maitre's service was attentive and not intrusive. The atmosphere is cozy, but a bit crowded. The visit was worth every cent. Keep it up...

Chris is a friend. That's why my demands are no less. This man gets up every morning and prepares the pasta and bread dough with all the love and care. He travels around Italy sourcing the most amazing wine pairings and freshest ingredients. Chris is a force of nature and is always everywhere in the room. If you are open and friendly, you will experience the perfect often direct but loving Italian hospitality that will make your evening unforgettable. The Zanotto is a must when you are in Potsdam.

When you enter the store, you immediately feel like you've been invited to the home of a good friend you've known forever. It's just different! Differently cozy, different warm, different first class. Just a slightly different Italian, not as commercial as we know it! Chris Zanotto takes care of every single guest personally and is super friendly and trustworthy! The man knows something about his work and, above all, about his homeland and its culture and specialties. Homemade pasta, homemade bread, first-class Italian wine, real Italian olive oil. As if you were on vacation in the middle of real Italy. He chooses the wine he orders to match the food. Mega! And quote: you “only pay for what you drink from the bottle”. For dessert there was a surprise that was really a taste explosion and completely new to us. Conclusion: we were totally thrilled and are sad that we can't let ourselves be pampered there more often. The most beautiful and cozy restaurant I have ever been to!! A place with a lot of charm and a very tasty experience. Chris creates such an incredibly personal and cozy atmosphere. The food is always delicious and there is simply nothing bad to say. The menu is small but very nice and there are great new pasta ideas every time. I can recommend everyone to eat here once.

The Zanotto is on Dortustr. 53, located in 14467 Potsdam. Every time I visit I find a fantastic Italian restaurant. Fresh Italian cuisine is always offered here, with fresh ingredients from the top-class region. I drank fine beers there and ate salmon. Both were very delicious. A wonderful host, you can't get more Italian in this environment. We had a recommendation to eat there and despite an unplanned obstacle we managed to do it today. We were very surprised by the reviews. Either 5* or 1* - there is nothing in between. Definitely 5 stars from us, anyone who gives this one star should better eat pizza with analogue cheese at Vapiano. Wonderfully delicious homemade bread with a touch of lemon and high-quality olive oil as a welcome, great starters and pasta that is really homemade. When choosing the wine, you get the feeling that Chris chooses it based on human knowledge. The only drawback today: all the guests arrived at the same time at 6 p.m., which caused the host a little, but not unpleasant, stress. We'll go an hour later next time. We had a very nice evening in a great restaurant. And we live in Berlin in the Scheunenviertel, we often go out to eat and have comparisons. Gladly again!!!

We've been there twice now. A real experience! Great food, exquisite wine selection, a super nice host. A little special perhaps, but we really enjoyed the evenings. We wanted a similar restaurant in our home country. If we come back to Potsdam, we will definitely come here too. Thank you, we had great evenings!!

It's a shame, the atmosphere here is appealing and the concept is definitely a good idea. Unfortunately, neither the menu is inspired nor does the quality of the food justify these high prices. The owner's style, which initially seems funny and particularly Italian, quickly becomes, in my opinion, over-the-top and not authentic. We certainly won't be coming back.

I have NEVER been to an Italian restaurant as individual as Zanotto! Selected based on reviews, small shop, the boss welcomes you personally. Rustic, homely atmosphere, lemon white bread with delicate olive oil as a side dish. The menu only had one page, but there is something for everyone. Here it's definitely class instead of quantity ❤️And we'll definitely be back!!! LG

So really BRUTAL crazy service, really good Italian food and delicious wines! Chris and his wife are so loving, you would love to move in with them privately 😁 The rest of the team shouldn't be left out, after all they're doing a great job ✌🏼

Likeable, full of character, incredibly tasty and still a rip-off. Christiano Zanotto holds all the reins in his hand - at every table, because he basically works alone. You wait a long time, then you order two starters, are quickly convinced by a third and wine comes without a menu or prices - white or red in a very interesting selection. As convincing as the food is, as charmingly as the eternal waiting times are bridged with funny and sarcastic sayings, in the end the bill is far too high. If you order a wine for €10 and pay over €50 for it, that's a rip-off! I'm happy to give almost 5 stars for the food (not only was the Vitello tonnato worth all the hassle!), but a very limited menu didn't allow for much choice. Unfortunately, a single table even outside with constant smoking can seriously reduce the enjoyment. It's better to stay at home and cook for yourself. It could be so good!!!!!

Die absolut unterschiedlichen Bewertungen hier haben unser Interesse geweckt. Dazu kam, dass eine alte italienische Freundin ihre Empfehlung ausgesprochen hat, und so reservierten wir einen Tisch. Authentische italienische Küche stimmt. Leckeres Essen stimmt. Gute Qualität stimmt. Und es ist alles selbst und frisch gekocht und kein Fertigfraß. Sie sollten den Mozzarella mit der Tomatensoße und das Vitello Tonato probieren, das schmeckt! Unsere Pasta "Sie hat ja gesagt" hätte für zwei gereicht und war ganz gut. Insgesamt gesehen fanden wir es recht hochpreisig, und ziehen deshalb einen Punkt ab- dafür dass wir auf unbequemen Gartenstühlen und dicht gedrängt gesessen haben. Der Wein war ok, aber ganz schön hochpreisig für dessen Qualität. Trotzdem kommen wir gerne wieder nach Potsdam zu Zanotto.

I was really looking forward to eating in this small, supposedly special restaurant. It was actually special. The food was particularly bad, as my extremely al dente pasta was swimming in oil and mountains of olives, the mussels that actually belonged to this dish were replaced by a few very small pieces of fish when asked at the beginning whether I liked fish, the food of my companion was dry and cold ( not lukewarm.....cold!!!). The owner of the restaurant obviously wants to distance himself, which he succeeds in with his arrogant, condescending manner. As mentioned at the beginning, I was looking forward to a special visit to a restaurant, but it turned out to be particularly bad. It was a shame!!!! Potsdam, I would love to come back, certainly not Restaurant Zanotto!
