The food was very tasty and the price was very good. I found drinks too expensive. Service was great. The only thing I was missing was the “nightcap” at the end. I know that from the Spaniards themselves. At the end you get a “short” on the house. We had tapas, main course and dessert. Hence a high bill. I think that would have been there too. At least that's what I know from other Spaniards. But of course I would still recommend Los Chicos and would like to go there again.

We spent a very nice afternoon here with very good food and great service. Unfortunately, the women's toilets were very dirty and obviously not just since yesterday, hence no 5 star rating.

We spent a couple of days in Düsseldorf and the Spanish restaurant caught our attention. I agree with numerous reviews with the friendliness and professionalism of Carlos the waiter and the recommendations he made from the menu, a complete success. What hurt me the most was paying €6.5 for a bottle of water that didn't reach a liter…

Kudos to the chef. The food was excellent. Best Spanish cuisine in Düsseldorf. The staff is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The atmosphere is authentic, you feel like you are on a short vacation in Spain.

We are visiting and staying near by and stopped in for tapa (octopus Spanish style with potatoes and charred padron peppers) and a bottle of rose. Octopus was perfectly cooked- tender and crispy. The servers were A++.

I very rarely write posts, but after yesterday I felt the need to. Yesterday I had dinner with a friend at "Los Chicos" and I'll start with the positive: Great atmosphere, both inside and outside (we sat outside). The waiter was super nice and very quick. The paella we ordered was good, there's nothing to complain about. Then comes the negative: The rest of the food was of poor quality for the money. I got this twice as tasty in Spain for half the money: Although I ordered warm starters, they were cold and the main course was only lukewarm. But the main course was really bad: the meat was tough and the accompanying fries were cold and limp. These were the worst fries I've ever had. You don't go to Spaniards to eat fries, but if they are served with them, then they should be edible for 26 euros for the main course. With a tip of 7 euros (the waiter couldn't help it and was, as I said, very nice and helpful), we paid a total of 125 euros. It really wasn't worth it.

Very nice restaurant in the old town, we were there spontaneously for lunch. Friendly but quite hectic service, appetizer plate and paella ordered. Starters came very quickly and were very good in quantity and quality. A big disappointment, however, was the paella, which was advertised as freshly prepared. We waited patiently for 1.5 hours. The rice had no "crust", was more reminiscent of tomato rice with peppers and was very bland and tasteless. Seafood was sparse and could be counted on one hand, the chicken pieces had more bones than meat. I've had better ones and can't recommend this one! The restaurant was not crowded, on the contrary - only 10 tables on the terrace were occupied - the interior was empty. It's a shame and for €80.00 for an adult + child it's a flop

Nicely located in the old town. You sit right in the middle of the action. The service is nice and attentive, even small dialogues in Spanish are successful. The food came quickly and was well prepared. We took a tapas plate for two people. We would have liked to have known in advance which tapas would be served. All in all, definitely recommended. A skewer was served at the next table. This was really worth seeing as the skewers were served hanging. Our choice next time.

The dinning experience is the best so far. We ate outside of the restaurant, they have table provisions for outside dinning. We ordered calamares, paella and chicken skewers. Theyre so good. We ordered Paella good for 2 but thats good for 4 persons already. Service crew are very attentive and they served well. Will definitely recommend the place!

Sehr leckere Paella hier gegessen! Wir saßen draußen und haben das herrliche Wetter genießen können. Bedienung war sehr freundlich und auch nicht aufdringlich. Lediglich das Ambiente draußen mit den Plastikdecken auf Stoffdecken „gewurschtelt“ ohne Deko oder Gewürze… lässt etwas zu Wünschen übrig. Drinnen sehr urig eingerichtet!

Only the ambience outside with the plastic blankets "muddled" on fabric blankets without decorations or spices... leaves something to be desired. Very rustic furnishings inside!

Sehr schönes Restaurant mit typischen spanischen Flair. Gemütliche Außenterrasse. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam aber nicht aufdringlich. Jeder Wunsch des Gastes wird erfüllt, soweit es möglich ist Die Küche kocht authentische spanische / mediterrane Gerichte. Die Speisen sind von hoher Qualität und stets frisch zubereitet. Ob beim Steak oder Tappas, hier macht man nichts verkehrt. Die tägliche Tageskarte (bis 17 Uhr) ist ebenfalls zu beachten. Außerdem gibt es an bestimmten Tagen auch besondere Specials. Die Getränke Auswahl ist sehr groß. Von typischen spanischen bis zu internationalen Getränken, ist alles vorhanden. Gute Wein-Auswahl und Cocktails sind ebenfalls vorhanden. Preis / Leistung vollkommen in Ordnung. Wir sind seit langen treue Stammgäste und haben noch nie was zu bemängeln gehabt. Wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch.

This is a good Spanish restaurant in the old city in Dusseldorf, i have been there many times before, specially during exhibitions. We booked a table for 8 people already since early February for the evening of April 16, usually the dinner restaurants use to be full during exhibitions. The service was very good and the food very tasty both the cold cuts and the warm tapas and desserts, prices were ok, i recomend it!

Reserved online for 7 people (men) in the restaurant. Because of the good weather we had the opportunity to sit outside and even put 2 tables together. Service staff friendly and helpful, funny but not intrusive. Fish on point and the steaks fried perfectly medium. The restaurant is on a side street, where people still stroll, but you can still eat quietly. We will be happy to come back on our next stay in Düsseldorf. Recommended.

Recently went to Los Chicos and it was easily a 10/10. The food and ambience was so nice and the waiter Jose was sooooo nice. We felt very welcome and my in-laws from America/Mexico were also amazed. Thanks to Jose for the great time. Will definitely come more times. Food was really too wild.

The wine selection is great, we ordered the paella and experienced a huge variety of tastes. Overall, super tasty, very nice atmosphere and the Crema Catalana as the final liqueur was wonderful. Vielleicht sind wir als Italiener verwöhnt aber das Essen war mittelmäßig. Tappas Ok aber auch nicht mehr. Paella (Fisch) war bestenfalls Lau, Fleisch blutig bestellt, Medium bekommen. Rumpsteak mit Fettrand ist ok, aber hier wars doch übertrieben. Bei dem Preisunterschied zwischen 200 / 300 usw....

We had a great time at this Spanish restaurant. We got first some tapas, from what we tried I recommend the croquetas and the ham. We took a Ribera del Duero wine (zarzuela) which was pretty good. As main course the tuna was great. I would come back next time in Düsseldorf!

Behoorlijk overrated, zie review Hier geweest met vrienden, totaal 6 volwassenen. Ondanks drukte werd vriendelijk gedaan, echter... Na ruim een uur wachten even vragen waar het eten blijft, de reactie, komt eraan. De vissoep: veel soep, zeeeer weinig vis, wel veel inktvisringen. De goulashsoep: veel bouillon aardappelen en zeer weinig vlees. Tapas garnalen, 4 stuks in bakje. Tapasschotel: oei, klein houten bordje, kommetje chorizo wost, 1 minimaal stukje kaas, meer een sneetje. Geroosterde pepers 6 stuks, 2 plakjes worst, 4 gebakken sardientjes.. Mixed gril: 4 stukjes, weinig qua hoeveelheid. Smaakte wel. Nr 56: Van 3 personen de terugmelding, droog vlees, niet te kauwen. Wil je frietjes erbij of iets anders, kost je gewoon extra. Conclusie: Veel en veel te duur voor wat er geboden wordt. Hierover wat gezegd en lachend werd de rekening gepresenteerd, graag ff betalen. Wel een aperitief achteraf bij de rekening gekregen. NOOIT MEER, advies, wegblijven hier. De zeeeer positieve stemmen moeten gekocht zijn, je gelooft het pas als je er besodemieterd bent. Datum van bezoek: december 2023

Service was ok. Nice waiter. They did not bring any bread to snack on though untill the food came out. The olives served with the bread were very cold and tasted like they were stored in a fridge, and the garlic alioli tasted more like garlic mayonnaise. The tapas plate they gave my friend was very sparse for the amount she paid, and the paella me and another friend got was not cooked properly. It did not have a crispy layer of rice at the bottom and it had too much sauce. More like a soupy rice dish. The rice was also extremely hot on one side of the pan and just a normal warm on another side (microwaved paella?), odd. Nowhere near authentic Spanish food. It is Germany though, but I've had much better Spanish food elsewhere in Düsseldorf. Won't be going back.
